For appetizers I ordered the Black Nachos, Guacamole con Puerco, and the Special Pork Belly skewers. To finish it off we had the loaded Cuban Pork and Black Cheese Fried Burger. Food was excellent. Service was terrible. I asked the lady at the register if they served drinks she said no. I asked my friend if we wanted to try somewhere else or eat here. I guess that made her mad? She proceeded to have the worst attitude the entire meal. Never checked on us once. Was super accommodating to the only other party in there, but I asked a question about the food and she had one word answers and was extremely rude. The owners Luis and Veronica have put together amazing dishes that will make you want to try everything else the menu has to offer. So let's get to the meat of it (pun intended). As the name of the restaurant implies, pork is their specialty. We had the guacamole with pork and the pork belly skewers. The dishes were amazing and priced incredibly competitively. I can honestly say I've paid more at fancy restaurants for less. However, do not ignore their other dishes. We also had the mussels, and some tacos. To describe the flavors, three words come to mind. Deep, bold and bright. You can taste the effort and the skills that went into each dish. This is a gem of a place. I will admit I reluctantly tried this place. Don't let the menu online prevent you from going.as to be outdated as it seems like they offer different items in person. The food was so flavorful. Loved the curry mussels followed by the criollo shrimp and arugula beet salad. The guacamole was also good and it comes with freshly made pork rinds and pork belly. I would much rather just have it with the pork rinds instead of the pork belly, but that is just my preference and there wasn't anything wrong with the pork belly. They also make this amazing guava/spice tea. The teas are freshly made and can be made to your level of preferred sweetness. I will definitely be coming back to try some of the other seafood items along with the tacos as I really enjoyed everything I had this visit. I want to start with the food we ordered four empanadas pork and ground beef, and the guacamole with chicharon appetizer bowl, and the beef burrito. They do not have any menus outside of what is posted when you first walk right in so you will have to order right there at the register and sit yourself down in what few booths that they have and some bar stools. The empanada was very tasty as far as the outside of the crust goes, the pork was falling out all over the place it was just diced and put in there so when you bite into it pieces are falling all over you, the ground beef was okay but it has some kind of seasoning I guess it's part of their Cuban heritage and I really didn't quite care for it I think some homemade chili would have taken care of it the last all they had was a chimichurri and some kind of what they called a chili but wasn't it was green with a lot of oil and spicy I honestly did not care for it at all nor did it compliment any part of our meal. The chicharron and guacamole bowl was okay plenty of walk and a little too much diced chili in it, the pork that is inside the bowl didn't really have any kind of particular flavor it was bland and the chicharons were okay seems like they are homemade. Now to the burrito my husband ordered it's a good size burrito but too much rice to fill up the binding inside the meat was not tasty on the asada it was too salty and didn't really have much of a flavor besides the salty and kind of tangy taste that was not expected, and no salsa available, only the the 2 that I mentioned. I'm hoping that the owner is just starting out and is going to learn but they are next to a very rowdy bar that all you hear is screaming and loud sounds like motorcycles getting there engines right in the front door where the other entrance to the bar is next to the entrance to this little restaurant. That was quite annoying and loud and the owners really should shut the door to keep the flies and such out, also the marijuana smell from outside from the bar patrons was just too much. I honestly cannot go back there again it's not suitable for inside dining at all, although the owners are trying to spruce things up that's just not the area for them, unless it is to go orders. We spent $40 there, and glad we didn't spend any more. Sorry for such a review but the truth is, what it is. I hope they make it as I'm sure this is their livelihood. read more

Is an interesting little spot in a not so great neighborhood right next door to a place that allows smoking of cannabis that you can smell while you are dining. Might not be the best place to take your kids to. The food here was interesting the flavor profiles are a little elevated for most average people. The pork belly skewers were a two and a half to three star. The burger here was better and a solid three star. The rice was kind of interesting with chimichurri and slightly elevated in its execution.
