I have been here a few times and am finally getting around to writing a review! They have street parking and are in close walking distance to other nearby Midtown businesses. This time my husband and I came in on a Sunday afternoon. We just beat the crowd because shortly after we got in line, the place filled up and there was a line to the door! Only 1 group was ahead of us and the wait time was short despite only having one staff member working. I assume the wait probably took a while for those in the back once the place got busy. We split the brownie sundae with vanilla bean ice cream. The brownie was served warm, as it should be in a brownie sundae. It was a good sundae but nothing to rave about. I have had their milkshakes before which have the over-the-top appearance with several treats piled high on top. They are filling but are likely to give you quite the sugar rush. I'm surprised these milkshakes are only $10, I feel like they could easily charge $12-14 and people would still buy them. This is the place to come for instagram worthy desserts and to treat yourself! They are good at making their wide variety of desserts, but I'm not sure if I have found a particular item on the menu yet that I HAVE to come back for when I need dessert. read more

BFF took me on an ice cream date to black rock dessert. This Delicious dessert spot is owned by the same creator of icecycle creamery! The location itself is small. Limited indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of folks were getting ice cream to go. I will say the decor was very fun and bright! The Ice cream itself was composed of unique and limited flavors. The flavor that caught my eye was the chocolate lavender ice cream. Nkem and I decided to try ferds herbs. Ferds herbs came with a rosemary chocolate chip cookie, salted chocolate lavender ice cream, magic sauce( hot fudge ) and whipped cream. I'm bummed there isn't a zero star choice here! My daughter and husband had stopped by here a few weeks ago and brought me back a cake pop and some ice cream. I thought the cake pop was absolutely delicious and incredibly moist! The ice cream was a toss away... Last Friday I called and asked if I could order like 6-8 cake pops for a gathering I was having on Sunday. I would like to have them ready for pick-up on Saturday since they open on Sunday too late for my lunch pool party... (Smoke made the pool part a no way) I had a couple of errands to run on Saturday around 3ish because I hadn't heard back from Clarissa who I made the phone order with. I am a fat kid and I am always looking for the next thing to satisfy my sweet tooth. Visited black rock dessert but I was not impressed. Just another place where they just throw cake on top of cookies on top of a shake on top of another cake and add pulverized brownie on top next to roasted marshmallows topped with a sugar cane hanging from a ginger waffle. All those things mashed together just for the sake of a picture that makes you go wow but when you actually eat it you go meh. I had a sip of a shake someone else in my party had ordered and it was definitely meh. I didn't want to sit at the table while everyone ate so I decided to try the blackberry cheesecake. It was ok. After a delicious dinner, I needed to satisfy my sweet tooth and came across this little spot. It's neatly decorated and the menu seems pretty interesting. There were several things that were appealing to me but I decided to go with the Burn S'more shake. Now I loved the presentation but the shake itself was average. I found it to be pretty expensive for a chocolate shake with whip cream and three marshmallows. But I've seen pictures of the Trash Fence which seem to look pretty cool and people tend to rave about it so maybe I'll go back one day to try it. We came here for dinner one night (haha! Don't judge! ) after I had a tonsillectomy (see - justified for dinner ). The kids were excited for banana splits and picking new flavors to try. My husband had the lavender salted caramel and some other flavor. They all loved what they had!! I had regular vanilla. It was just ok. Not as creamy as other places and not as "vanilla-y" in flavor. I simply got a scoop of ice cream and I have to say it was probably the worst ice cream I've ever ever had. Very waxy flavor and I didn't even have more than a few bites. It has a great aesthetic in there and it gave me dessert and study vibes. We split the s'mores milkshake and it was so good. The presentation of the milkshake was phenomenal. Got a sweet tooth and wanted something different than your everyday milkshake? Then THIS is the place for you! Initially, I came in with wanting a simple scoop of ice cream with a good friend of mine and I literally tried every flavor of ice cream. To be honest, I didn't really enjoy any of them individually but the best part about that is, if you come in one month and don't like the flavor then come in the next and they'll have a whole bunch of different flavors to try from!
