The service was absolutely top tier, they spoiled us rotten and treated us SO well! We must have ordered half the menu and not a bad bite was had. The wings were mind boggling - ordered a second time because we all needed another one! The roti and massaman curry dip was delicious, could drink the curry like soup. The octopus - tender and tasty. Peanut noodles were totally craveable. Thai basil meal with chicken has fantastic flavor. The tamarind lobster - they give you so much lobster! Every single cocktail was expertly crafted - we all tried each others and they were all so creative and delicious!! The bartenders/servers were just so kind and absolutely lovely. I made reservations with my guy for the new Thursday night jazz. I called at 5pm to cancel the reservations for 7:30pm due to an emergency. I was later charged a 50.00 reservation cancellation fee. I called the next day to say, "hey we had an emergency and I called and cancelled." I was advised that it was the owners policy to charge by person on the reservation (for 2) and that they would not reconsidered. It's disheartening for a resturant to be so money hungry to take 50.00 for canceling a reservation in advance. Its stated that they require 24 hour notice; however, they do not open til 4:30pm. If I were a no show, I would understand but to simple change for notifying is a money hungry. read more

This will be a new hot spot in Midtown for light bites and tasty cocktails. When you step into the establishment you immediately notice the cool ambiance and thoughtful interior decorations. I loved the large comfortable egg lounge chairs and wished I was sitting at the bar since that was one of the main focal points of the room. They are still in their soft opening phase so I would give the staff some grace and patience while they get settled in. The servers we had were really nice and very familiar with the menu which was wonderful for a new restaurant. We tried a variety of dishes and really enjoyed the beef jerky, enoki tempura, squid ink pasta (spicy!), shrimp in a pot and salmon crudo. The drinks were amazing my favorites were the Spiced Dragon and Buko Gimlet. I enjoyed the convenient location and in the 1010 Plaza which they also validate 2 hours parking. The owners behind 26 Thai brought this new concept so I am sure we will see inspiring Asian fusion concepts as we see in their restaurants. Tons of seafood, and it looks great too. Rich, golden, super umami - all those different seafood flavors really come through. And it goes perfectly with the egg noodles. Dessert: The Banana Meringue was phenomenal - the perfect balance of light and airy meringue and banana bread. I had such high expectations of this place and was highly disappointed. While I will say the decor is nice that's where it stopped for my first impression. Our wait staff wasn't knowledgeable of the menu. It took close to 20-25 minutes to get our drinks to the point that our food cans befuddled them. Now to the signature drink, Paper Tiger was nothing but ice. It was so cold you could barely hold the cup. Now to the food, we ordered the 3 for $39 tapas and the Inan Fried Chicken and Chicken Lettuce Wraps were extremely salty to the point it was sent back. The ambiance was just right. Music playing, but not so loud that you can't hear each other talk. Our server was Jalen and he was very welcoming. He explained that they are a craft cocktail bar. They have a cocktail menu and you can't make changes to the items on that, but if you want something else they can make it for you. I told him that I wanted a drink that was refreshing, but not too sweet. He suggested the mango sticky rice and it was wonderful! We also had the beef jerky as a nibble and it was really good. Standouts were See You Space Cowboy, Peanut Noodle Old Fashioned, and Mango Sticky Rice. For food, we got the khao soi roti, spicy tuna crispy rice, and the spicy Thai basil fried rice with chicken. The food is overpriced in my opinion but nothing we ordered was bad by any means. I do want to mention that the spicy tuna was so well seasoned (actually spicy), which I loved. I got the lychee drink and the mango sticky rice, both of which were some of the best in the city. We do a lot of fine dining, and this food was fantastic. If you're in the mood for a cold meal after a long wait, with a manager who moonlights as a professional arguer this is the place to be. I waited over 20 minutes for my food after the rest of my table had already finished their meals, only to be served something that was barely warm. When I very politely sent my cold meal back, the manager decided it was the perfect time for a debate instead of an apology. He was rude, defensive, and somehow convinced this was acceptable food service. If you're craving disappointment with a side of attitude, this is your spot. We got hustled. A group of us went (5 ppl) and we knew going in it was going to be on the middle to high range for cost. It's a cool place but after this I can't justify going back. We were just having our meals and drinking our waters like normal and then after we basically finished our meal/drinks we see our waiter pour our waters and the bottle has a label. We look around and see NO ONE else is getting their waters poured for them and have these clear water jugs at the table... We ask him if the water cost money? Bro says yes.... $7..... we go how many bottles did we go through... 3... and the check had auto 20% gratuity (not uncommon these days but owch!). I paid $30 for one cocktail essentially. At the beginning we were offered still or sparkling but not ever told the water would cost anything. And after we asked if the water cost money the waiter kind of backhandedly remarked we could switch to the free water if we needed to. If we weren't the only people sat at a high top and kind of distanced from the main seating zone so maybe we would've noticed sooner if sat in a different zone. The food was okay from what my friends said and my drink was nice but this whole experience really soured it for me. I hate a lack of transparency in business practices. If we weren't in a larger size group and had to bite the water cost it could've hurt far more. I guess just make sure you ask for tap. read more
