Where do I even start? Today was Father's Day, and my family and I (7 people), came here to celebrate. We made a reservation ahead of time. The first red flag, they didn't save the reservation. They did escort us straight to our table and we didn't have to wait, because the restaurant wasn't busy. However, once we were escorted to our table, we were completely forgotten. We sat there for nearly 20 minutes wondering when someone would serve us, approach us, or even simply giving us the menu. You read that right, no menu. Eventually, we had to steal a menu from one of the carts nearby because nobody brought us one. One menu, for seven people. When the server finally approached us, she asked what we wanted to order. Didn't even apologize for the wait. How do you ask customers for their order when they haven't even been given menus? She then proceeded to tell us, "looks like you already ordered". We told her no, and we have haven't received any menus. She simply responded with "oh", walked away, and returned a few minutes later with only 1 additional menu. Once again, there were 7 people at our table sharing 2 menus. The menus themselves are large, black and impossible to miss, which makes it even more confusing how our table was overlooked for so long. As we begin taking our orders, my parents and grandparents ordered first. When she moved to my siblings and I, my older brother asked us what side orders we wanted. My younger brother said he didn't have enough time to look at the menu because we had been forced to share it between all of us. I told my older brother to just pick something we liked, but he couldn't hear me, so I repeated myself. After the third time repeating myself, the server let out an audible sigh and acted as if our brief 3 second conversation was some kind of inconvenience and burden to her. We felt rushed, a situation that never would have happened if we had been given menus in the first place. Transition to the food, we're happy again. But then I felt villainized whenever they would come and cut our meat. Did I do something wrong to make you look at me weird? Very hostile energy, which we have never experienced this kind of treatment in any restaurant. The meat service was slow. They would only place one type of meat on the grill at a time, and won't put new meats unless the cooked meat on the grill was finished. As a result, we ended up filling up on the side orders simply because they were the only things arriving consistently faster. This led to a frustrating issue between my mother and I, because she noticed fresh spicy bulgogi being placed on the grill after we were already full. She asked why I kept ordering food. The reality was that I wasn't continuing to order, I was waiting for my very first set of meat orders. The meat had been sitting on the cart beside our table the entire time and wasn't placed on the grill until the very end. She later understood the situation when we debriefed about the horrible experience we had. So overall, we're not coming back. Food was tasteful, but their service was distasteful. read more
