A new KBBQ spot that is quickly becoming a personal favorite! Blacksmith has a lot of meat and side dish options that makes it exciting to try everything! We went here for a weekend dinner. My favorite meat options were the brisket and galbi. The side dishes also stood out, particularly the beef radish soup, chicken wings, and corn cheese. They even have a special roll (which is the first time I've seen this at a KBBQ spot - it's pretty filling tho so make sure to share). You can order 3 meats at a time but that's plenty as the portions are pretty generous. Everything tasted fresh, delicious and service was great. Will definitely be coming back.

I'm not usually a fan of AYCE places because of the difference in meat quality, but I decided to stop by and check this place out since it's new and we happened to be in the neighborhood. We walked in around 7 p.m. without a reservation and were seated right away. The restaurant is very spacious inside, and our waitress was super friendly, although we did feel a bit rushed. You can only order three meat items at a time. For our first round, we ordered the beef brisket, galbi, and bulgogi. There's also a wider variety of side dishes compared to other AYCE Korean BBQ spots. The portion of the beef brisket was unusually large that I was almost full just from eating the brisket alone. The galbi was well-marinated, and the bulgogi was flavorful as well but was a bit too oily for me. One thing I didn't like was that they set the cooked meat aside on the rim of the grill while the raw meat continued cooking in the center. The juices from the raw meat would drip onto the cooked meat, which wasn't very appealing.

Not just another AYCE KBBQ in Bayside. Blacksmith finally opened after a long renovation and us passing by lots of times with eager anticipation. There is a parking lot at the back entrance to the restaurant on 209th St for about 18 cars that are shared with the other businesses. If you have a large group, they have a couple of round tables up front that can be converted to a long table with a drop-in insert that can accommodate 12-14 people with grills at both ends, so the guys in the middle won't have easy access to the grills, but will have plenty of table space. Just be aware that there are a lot of rules. There's a 2 hr limit on AYCE and a 30% charge per 1/2 hr, if you over stay the time limit, a 3% surcharge for using credit card and a 20% automatic gratuity added for parties of 6 or more. Now that the formalities are dealt with, it's onto the MEATZ! They have thin sliced beef brisket, which is quite fatty, but most of the rendered fat flows off into trough. Other beef cuts that I liked were the hanging tender steak and bulgogi, which was marinated well. The Galbi was sliced boneless and I prefer the LA version that are sliced thin across the bone where I can chew of the tendons. The pork jowl was pretty good, as was pork short rib. They even have Italian sausage, which we tried but it was so-so. We also tried the buttered squid rings. Just don't cook them too long or they turn real rubbery. The side items seem like an afterthought. The japchae was really plain, but the steamed egg was pretty good. If you get the mandoo dumplings, get extra orders because they only come 2 per plate. Order extra fried squid tentacles also because they are tasty, but the plate is small. The vegetables to grill are pretty skimpy also and I don't know why since they are less expensive than the meats. My cheesy corn also came out cold since they forgot to put it on the stove and the cheese was not melted. The staff come pretty often to place more food on the dome and to turn or cut up the meat, but I really like to do it myself. We had passed the freezer case when we were brought to our table, so I knew that at the end of the meal, we were getting ice cream! You have a choice of Hersey's vanilla or chocolate in a cup. I really liked the vanilla, and since it's AYCE, I got another!

I just found my new favorite all you can eat Korean bbq spot. Located right off northern blvd in the bayside area the restaurant is spacious and welcoming. The quality of meats is top level they have a numerous selection to choose from but not only that they have an extensive list of sides dishes to choose from as well. Great customer service and the meal was ended with desert. We really enjoyed the thin brisket, galbi and marinated pork rib. Looking forward to coming back and trying more items from the menu.

The food was decent but it was extremely hot in the restaurant. One of the hottest days of the year and they don't have air conditioners or fans on. It was absolutely terrible

Six of us went on a Sunday night for dinner around 6pm. Didn't have a reservation but we managed to squeeze in before the rush. Food was great, the meat was top quality and abundant. Everything was delicious and especially liked the kalbi and bulgogi. Service was pretty good, our waitress was very busy and sometimes missed certain items or completely forgot so we would have to remind her. But she was swamped so it was no big deal. The only real downside was how hot it got in there. We were all sweating at the table, maybe the fan stopped working but it was boiling for us. Hopefully a one-off issue that's fixed by now.

The food was good with a variety of options. The ambiance was quieter than a typical kbbq place. They have booths throughout the whole restaurant. Also the wait isn't as long as they say on the phone.

NEW AYCE K-BBQ IN QUEENS! Just hit up the brand-new Blacksmith BBQ and wow -- it's already one of the best all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ spots I've tried in the Queens. The vibe? Super spacious with tons of tables, perfect for big groups or even private events. Quality is top-tier -- way above most AYCE places. Meats come in solid, generous portions (not comically huge, so you can actually sample everything without dying after round 2 ). Here is what we tried *Hanger *Signature Galbi *Thick Pork Belly *Spicy Squid *Brisket *Thin Pork Belly *Flank Steak *Pork Jowl *Small Intestines *Steamed Egg *Ramen Them huge cast-iron skillets -- massive surface area means everything cooks evenly and you can throw a ton on at once. Service was attentive and quick. Solid variety of meats + sides (something for everyone), plus a wild drink menu. Bonus: free fountain soda refills Since they're fresh off the grand opening, they're hooking everyone up with free ice cream right now -- don't sleep on that. Pro tips: Benches open up for bag/jacket storage no more smelling like BBQ for days Free parking! Enter from Northern Blvd side and use the back door If you're into KBBQ and especially AYCE, run -- don't walk -- to Blacksmith BBQ

We were a table of 8 and everyone enjoyed their time there. Food was great, the meat is definitely top tier compared to other AYCE locations. Definitely try the garlic meat, very tasty! Jay was our waiter and he did a great job. He continuously checked on our meat and refilled everything as needed. Very spacious seats and we were not cramped at all. Will definitely be returning!

The food and services were straightforward. You order with the server, and they bring out the food right away. That is a rare at an all you can eat place. Servers are wonderful and polite. The restaurant is a bit dark but it will be great for dinner. We went there for lunch that is why. Overall lovely place and fast services. Will be back again.

We liked most of the items on the menu, but I was so surprised by the pork feet! So flavorful and no bone.

It definitely lived up to our memories, we ended up coming back twice in one week! Between our visits, we ordered the Dweji-Gomtang with extra pork, the Layoo Dweji-Gomtang with extra pork (spicy version), Kimchi Mandoo, Gabrisal Soyuk (pork collar meat), and the So-Bbol Gomtang (beef cheek, brisket, and tripe). Everything was delicious, but the standout for us was the pork collar meat. It was incredibly tender, flavorful, and an absolute must-order. The portions are just the right size, and the restaurant has a fast-casual feel, making it perfect for a quick meal without sacrificing quality. Our kids especially loved the original Dweji-Gomtang. After trying both versions, I personally prefer the original pork soup over the spicy Layoo version, although both were excellent. The complimentary kimchi deserves a special mention - it was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect accompaniment to the soups. The Kimchi Mandoo also had a nice spicy kick while still being packed with flavor. We noticed a lot of the guests were ordering the Lard Donkatsu, so that's definitely on our list for our next visit. Safe to say we'll be back again and again!

The location at Bayside opened about a year ago and we heard they expanded their menu a bit. Saw a beef soup option which sounded perfect for a rainy weekend. Like the pork, the beef was melt in your mouth tender. The beef consume was very light but full bodied. It may taste blander at the start, but it gets better with each sip. There were different cuts of beef (brisket, cheek, tripe) and can say I enjoy the beef soup over the pork option. We ordered a side of shrimp katsu which was so crispy and I was surprised to see whole shrimps! Their pork donkatsu was thick and also delightfully crispy with a side of pork soup and the right amount of banchan. I would come to this location again.

This place is a little of a hidden gem and not quite like other Korean restaurants. But no gatekeeping here! We also came at a weird lunch time around 2pm so it wasn't really busy and we were seated right away. Once you enter, you'd quickly notice the very detailed beautifully hand painted murals on the walls and an abundance of painted butterflies. The attention to detail is impeccable! The menu is also very cute and I'm guessing handmade. It was pretty detailed and we appreciated learning about each dish before deciding what to order. We ended up ordering the Kimchi Pancake with seafood, the spicy bulkoki udon and the jeyuk udon. The kimchi seafood pancake was super crispy and filled with squid and shrimp! It also came with a semi sweet dipping sauce that paired nicely. Both udons came out piping hot and fresh! Udon had a nice chew to it, was loaded with vegetables as well as meat for each dish. The egg was fried and did not have a runny yolk. For sides, they gave us 4 things- a tomato salad, kimchi cucumbers, braised string beans, and bean sprouts. The tomato salad came in this cute apple shaped dish but neither of us really cared for it- this is completely biased though since we're not really fans of tomato. What we really did love was the kimchi cucumbers! Also at the end, they served us 3 pieces of cantaloupe which were very sweet. Overall, yummy food, cute shop, and friendly/nice staff! I'd come back to try their other food options in the future!
