CHICKEN STRIPS & FRIES
Tania T.

We had the chicken Alfredo pasta and the kids' meal of chicken strips with fries, ordered for delivery to SeaCrest's poolside. The ordering itself took place in the app, and it was rather straightforward. We waited for about 10 minutes before I encountered the delivery staff just outside of the pool. I signed off on the delivery and enjoyed the meal poolside. My only gripe with the whole encounter was that there weren't any extra utensils for us, but I appreciate the ranch for the kid's meal. The food had decent portions and tasted great! It was a nice experience, enjoying the meal by the pool after a morning of swimming and enjoying Pismo Beach.

Food was good. View was great. Something for everyone on the menu. The huge space spread out the staff so service was slow and food was not quick. But we didn't mind.

BAJA STYLE CRISPY FISH TACO, CHICKEN STRIP PLATTER, TAPROOM FRIES
Megan Z.

i had fish tacos for the first time here. the experience was life-changing. the fish tacos were amazing. you can tell by the taste that it is all very fresh. the tacos are very packed with everything from fish to veggies and seasonings and sauces, all so yummy! my boyfriend kail said that everything they put on the fish tacos is good. especially the sauces like it has very good chipotle aioli, pico de gallo, and lemons on the side!!! we also got the 5-piece chicken tenders. they were cooooked perfectly and were nice and crispy and tasty. the tenders are giant!!!!! the ranch was spectacular and they gave a lot of it!!! the taproom/house fries were also very good. they were warm and seasoned well. they're small and skinny which i like. they gave a lot of them too which was awesome :) we did a pick-up order but the ambiance on the deck and the inside of the restaraunt was decorated very cutely and with a cohesive black and red aesthetic. it was a nice social setting. there was a bar, billiards, and it seemed like there was a large downstairs area. we ordered online through the website and the food was ready exactly when it said it would be (exactly 20 minutes). getting the food inside the restaraunt was quick and easy. the employees were incredibly helpful in helping us get our food. we noticed they placed our food in insulated containers while they waited for us to arrive. it was very nice. definitely come here if you're hungry or looking for a fun spot in pismo!

The Alejandro Tri Tip Club at pismo Blast and Brew.

We had a delicious lunch at the Pismo Blast and Brew today. Alejandro our server was kind enough to substitute tri-tip instead of grilled chicken on their chicken club sandwich(my go to sandwich). It was a five star delight. I hope they consider adding it as a standard item on the menu. Always enjoy the food, the ocean view, and the friendly service at Blast.

Blast Nachos with "Nacho Beans" ‍
Djsikness S.

Ordered the Blast Nachos to-go while staying at The Seacrest hotel next door. I WAS so excited to see nachos with "NACHO CHEESE" on a menu at a restaurant near by. I received my order and was juiced to dig into some cheesy goodness! After opening the container there was NO nacho cheese visible.I was hopeful after digging to the middle of it there would be some. WOMP after 5-6 bites NOTHING. Only shredded cheese and "NACHO BEANS" Im upset, Im a sucker for Nacho cheese.. $23 for this? Hard Pass.love the Fresh jalapenos though!. So if your planning to order NACHO's from here you ARE getting Not-Yo Cheese.

First time heading to Blast & Brew. The portions were big -from the appetizers to entrees. The cocktails were strong and dessert was delicious. Service was great and our waiter was very attentive. Can't wait to be visit Pismo beach again and try more items in the menu.

825 NACHOS w/CHEESE don't even got nacho cheese smh
Kaden S.

I gotta say... Blast & Brew really missed on this one. Ordered the nachos thinking they'd be loaded, and yeah they looked good--but where's the nacho cheese? They've got everything else on there--chips, toppings, fresh stuff--but somehow skipped the one thing that makes nachos... nachos. Like come on, not even a drizzle?? Don't get me wrong, it's still decent, but calling them nachos without nacho cheese just feels wrong. Step it up, Blast & Brew. If ur expecting Nacho Cheese on these Nachos, its not yo cheese

Place needs a health and food inspection!! Sat at the bar and the place is just disgusting I don't think they have cleaned anything in a long time!! Would def not eat here, I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like..

Game day specials
Alexis N.

I came on a Sunday to watch football with my husband. This is a fantastic game day spot! There are tons of screens and they had food and drink specials since the game was on. Our server was Colleen and she did a great job despite it being packed. The food is very typical bar food and felt a little lacking.

Margarita Light Ice

My daughter ordered a Pina Colada. It never came. So she went up to the guy who took the order (he didn't come back to our table) and he had her wait at the bar so they could make it. They didn't even bring it to the table. I ordered 12 piece chicken wings. The menu indicated it came with ranch or blue cheese dressing. Nope. It wasn't there. Had to ask for it. The kitchen forgot to add it to the plate and the server didn't notice it missing. Ordered a Margarita with light ice (I was freezing because I had forgotten my jacket and it's cold in the restaurant). Received a Margarita stuffed full of ice. So then I reminded them I had requested light ice. So she took it back to the bar and brought it out like this. I guess they don't have smaller glasses. I should have just taken all the ice out myself with the fork.

TLDR : Great place to hang around while visiting Pismo and to grab a beer. Limited the collection of beer in draft but food was great- overall a nice place to wind down.

Can anyone let me know what types of food they serve at the brunch buffet?

They don't have an actual brunch buffet but rather a weekend only brunch menu (Sat/Sun 9-3)...in my opinion the options available are delicious!

The oysters were incredibly sweet and creamy, the octopus was perfectly tender without being chewy, and the Kurobuta pork chop was cooked to perfection, juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The chicken was another standout, with wonderfully crispy skin and tender, juicy meat. Even the Caesar salad was fresh and exactly what you'd expect from a classic Caesar. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience. Great food, excellent service, and unbeatable ocean views make this a place I'd definitely come back to.

After hearing several recommendations from both locals and restaurant staff around Pismo Beach, we…read moredecided to celebrate our niece's graduation from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo at Oyster Loft. We also brought our own wine, and the $20 per bottle corkage fee was very reasonable. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was an unusual odor. We couldn't tell if it was because of the older building near the ocean or something from the kitchen. It seemed to disappear once we were seated, but we noticed it again when walking toward the restrooms. It didn't ruin our evening, but it was something that stood out. Service was a little mixed. My husband has a dairy allergy, so he began by asking what came with the Kurobuta pork chop and which of the sides contained dairy. The server seemed hesitant and mentioned that the chef doesn't like to change his menu, even though my husband hadn't asked for any substitutions. After some back-and-forth, the server suggested placing the pork chop on a separate plate from the sides, which was what my husband had been trying to ask for all along. Most restaurants are quick to suggest simple ways to accommodate food allergies, so the interaction felt more complicated than it needed to be. That said, the food itself was very good. The Beef Tataki was one of my favorite dishes of the evening--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Everything we ordered was well executed, but dessert ended up stealing the show. The Loft Brownie was absolutely delicious, and my niece and I loved every bite. My husband was equally excited that they offered a dairy-free chocolate ice cream, which he really enjoyed. Overall, I can see why Oyster Loft is recommended for seafood, but for us it didn't quite live up to the hype. With so many wonderful restaurants in Pismo Beach still on our list to try, I don't think we'll be making a return visit any time soon.

5 star all day! great atmosphere…read more service was top notch. food was fresh and super delish. highly recommend!!

While staying in Pismo with family, they wanted to take us to their favorite Italian restaurant and…read morewe chose to have dinner in the Cucina...they have another location right next door, which isn't as "fancy" as their sit down place. Tables covered with white linen as well as linen napkins, stepping up the ambiance. Our server, Maricella, was great, friendly, and very attentive. We started with their Caesar salad, which is made with fresh, largely torn romaine lettuce and covered with both grated and shaved parmesan cheese. There were a few crutons scattered and we opted to add anchovies to our salad. I also asked for extra dressing because typically salads don't come with much and I'm a dressing gal! Ok, so the salad itself was great and fresh and the anchovies were good and not greasy or fishy tasting. The dressing was an issue and I really didn't care for it. Wife said it was "ok" but we've had way better dressing elsewhere. She chose the Ravioli di Zucca, which was a butternut squash filled ravioli with a sage and parmesan cheese sauce. I thought it was a bit sweet but she liked it. I had the Linguine Vongole, which came with a housemade pasta that was more like a thick spaghetti noodle as opposed to the typical flat linguine noodle. The bowl was full of clams; found some to be a bit tough and overall I think the sauce could use a ton more lemon flavor! It was good but family had ordered the Nonna's Meatballs and that's where I would go! Something with their incredible marinara sauce because it is the bomb! Such a great balance of tang and sweet and just good flavor. I also want to talk about the bread and dip they serve at the beginning of the meal...oh my gosh! The bread is sliced super thin with a soft inside and that wonderful tuggy outter crust. The dip is a garlic (lots of it!) and olive oil mix that you can spread on the bread...ok, we ate a lot of this! Daughter also ordered the brussels sprouts, which were roasted to perfection and topped with pecans, goat cheese, and a honey Dijon vinaigrette. These were some of the best sprouts I've had! We shared the Spumoni for dessert, which was good and different! There was a layer of cake along with layers of chocolate, pistachio, and vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of the cherry sauce and sprinkle of mini chocolate chips. The dish is good and needs much more of that cherry sauce! Overall a good meal and next time we doing the Club instead...much less fancy and a smaller menu of offerings.

Note that the parking lot, depending on which day you go, can fill up very quickly. The location is right off of the 101 and easy to find. We checked in and was seated within 10 minutes at a booth that overlooked the beautiful views of the Pismo Beach coast line. Our server, a younger black woman, who told us her nickname was 'TiTi', if I'm not mistaken, was wonderful. Her personality and hospitality was infectious and exceeded 5 stars. She brought us fresh hot corn and flour tortillas with a small cup of brown sugar butter and three different salsas to try. Everything was delicious. We ordered the surf and turf special which was a jumbo shrimp on top of a filet mignon that rested on mash potatoes and a creamy/savory white sauce. We also ordered the lobster Mac and cheese. Everything was exceptionally good. My only takeaway would be that I found the food, especially the lobster Mac and cheese to be pretty salty. Definitely excited for my next visit.

We had a reservation for a birthday dinner and arrived about 30 minutes early. We were told we'd be seated closer to our reservation time, which was completely understandable. However, as we waited, we watched several groups (including walk-ins without reservations) get seated before us. Even after our reservation time had passed, we had to check in with the host again before we were finally seated, despite there being plenty of empty tables. The service at the front definitely could have been handled better. The food, on the other hand, was very good with a great variety of options. I loved that they start you off with freshly made tortillas, cinnamon butter, and salsa to share. I ordered the Campechana de Mariscos, which was fresh, generously portioned, and perfect for sharing. We also had the Molcajete, and it was delicious! It came with a great mix of steak, chicken, chorizo, jumbo shrimp, nopal, and cheese. The portion was generous and easily enough for two people. Other dishes we ordered also included the pozole, chicken nachos, and lobster mac and cheese. Everything was delicious as well! The mac and cheese especially. For drinks, I tried the Golden Hour nonalcoholic cocktail, and unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. It tasted like watered-down ginger beer with no carbonation and only the faintest hint of pineapple. It was more on the bitter taste. Overall, this is a great restaurant for the ocean views and flavorful food. The portions are generous, and there's something for everyone on the menu. The only downside was the host service and the unnecessary wait despite having a reservation. I'd still come back for the food and the scenery.
