This was my family and I first time eating here. The young guy helped us order was super helpful and friendly when he explained the whole process. Another lady who also worked the pizza line said she comes in early every morning to make the spicy red sauce she was also nice. I wish I got their names. I did get the name of one employe Nancy and she was also nice. For two pizzas one two topping and one u limited topping with two small drinks costed around 21 dollars which isn't bad for custom made pizza made on the spot. Blaze had great pizza! Seemed like a lot of new employees as everyone was scrambling and it wasn't too busy... I felt offended when the girl skipped us when she was giving free coupons, however Ayanni was very nice and informed me of the yelp review = free pizza deal. 2 stars is for multiple mistakes like not putting dollops of sauce on our pizza before cooking and not putting dressing on our salad. This was our first visit so we already confused on what to order. Also, what seemed to be the managers were standing around on the cel phones once the lines were clear and were very obnoxious. I even heard one manager raise her voice to delegate tasks to ayanni and that seemed demeaning. Davian was another employee who showed great leadership skills and personality. She was managing training and making pizzas while talking to customer very gracefully and with ease. She would be a very valued employee if I owned the joint because of her potential. Give her a raise!! I think I'm time, and with more training, blaze will be a great pizza joint because of the quickness and great tasting pizza. read more

We were excited to see that Blaze Pizza was opening at the Valley Plaza, because we had enjoyed their pizza experience at other locations. So we were there on opening day, waiting in line for over an hour. It was worth the wait (even though it was a madhouse that day). They dropped my wife's pizza, and when they remade it they used the wrong ingredients, but it was easy to overlook those problems with all of the craziness they had to deal with that day. Several days after I installed the Blaze Pizza app on my phone, I received a notification of $2 off a Greek salad. We hadn't tried Blaze's salad before, and I thought the olives and feta cheese would be something my wife would really enjoy. When I arrived at the Valley Plaza Blaze location at about 5 pm and looked at the salad, I almost turned around and walked out. The Greek salad looked brown and wilted -- just horrible! But one of the employees caught me before I could leave. I told her that I had come for their app's deal to get $2 off the Greek salad, but that I decided to leave because the salad looked too gross. I said that I might just try the California Avenue location instead. She asked me to wait a couple of minutes, explaining that they were making fresh Greek salad that would be ready soon. Although I was in a hurry, I reluctantly agreed to wait. After about 10 minutes, she brought me a cup and encouraged me to get something to drink while I was waiting. I love the combination of their mango soda and blood orange lemonade (but I usually avoid paying the extra price for drinks), so the free drinks helped me wait a little longer. It seems like I had waited about 30 minutes before they finally brought out the fresh Greek salad. She asked me if I wanted to go through the line or if she should just bring the salad to the register. By this time the line was getting a bit long, and my wife was sending me messages wondering what was taking me so long. So, I said she could just bring the salad to the register. Immediately upon seeing the salad, I was disappointed. While it was indeed fresh (with no brown or wilted lettuce), the container didn't even look full (I could see the bottom of the container in several places). Nevertheless, after that long wait, I just wanted to hurry back to my wife. Unfortunately, my wife was very disappointed in the salad (though I didn't explain all of the problems I experienced until after she ate it). It was mostly lettuce. There were only a few small pieces of olives and I don't even recall seeing any feta cheese. This was not at all what I expected in a Greek salad, especially not at that price (which was over $5, even after the discount). The next time we want a good quick salad, we won't even think about Blaze. We will probably be much more satisfied with McDonald's. Seriously. But I still look forward to enjoying their pizza again. To me, the highlight of Blaze Pizza is the variety of unique ingredients available. Their employees always seem to spread the toppings extremely thin, but I select as many toppings as possible so I have always found my finished pizzas to be quite satisfying. (If someone were to just order a one topping pizza, however, I think they would likely be quite disappointed, especially if they spread their typically miserly layer of cheese.) The employees here have always been very friendly (even on my bad Greek salad day), but (as some have noted here) they are indeed quite loud. I assume that their loud shouts are necessary to run an orderly operation, but I can see how some might be disturbed by that. A couple of times this week, we have been right next to Blaze Pizza, and I have suggested to my wife that we should stop by to take advantage of the free dessert (another offer in their app). So far my wife has been reluctant to return. I hope we can enjoy their pizza again sometime soon. But I doubt that we will ever try their salad again. read more

I love bringing my father who is in a retirement home and very weak to the Blaze in the Valley Plaza mall. Mostly because of how wonderful the staff is! The pizza is excellent and meets his needs but wanted to mention that Belen Lopez has been extremely kind and caring to my old father and it means a lot!!! Let me start by saying the pizza was AWESOME! I love thin crust, and the bottom was slightly chard which I absolutely love in my pizza. Over all It was a friendly place, but here's my biggest issue...I have Aspergers syndrome, so people like me typically stay away from loud places. I'm use to a bit of volume when I go to certain restaurants. But this place took it to a whole new level...Not the customers, but the employees were LOUD. To the point were I couldn't even hear my own thoughts. One particular girl who was behind the counter putting cheese on the pizza's was screaming at the top of her lungs, not even arms length's away from me. I loved the quality of the pizza, but for reasons like this I can sadly say it isn't a good place for people with Aspergers or Autism. I really hope I can visit the other locations in hopes for a more volume controlled environment so I can enjoy this delicious pizza! read more

The food was great, but the service sucked. The girl serving us, I think her name was Maria, was arguing and snapping at her coworker. Every item I asked her to add my pizzza she made a face like I was torturing her. It didn't seem like she wanted to be there. Their ice machine was broken so she went to get ice for us and took forever to get back. All her co workers seemed to be just putting up with her s#@t. Decided to try out blaze pizza for the first time. This place was a joke. Not because of the food, which was actually really good. It was because of the staff working there. One of the employees thought it was a bright idea to poke fun of my topping selection out loud to a coworker as he is standing across the counter from me. Everyone's entitled to their opinion but in customer service you don't make fun of a customer when they can hear you. Don't know how these kids get hired to begin with.
