I like the concept of this type of pizza place. It's just not very flavorful to me or my spouse. My child liked her cheese pizza but she's easy to please. But what do you expect for a $8 pizza. Also not sure if it's always this busy but we stood in line for 35 minutes. Staff was very scatter brained. We are always up for good, quick pizza so we decided to try out Blaze. We were in line for probably 15 minutes, which is totally fine, but it was because the people working the line were moving so slow. There was no organization behind the counter and none of the employees looked or acted like they wanted to be there. My wife and I have both worked in the food service industry, and when we got up to the counter, we were truly appalled at how filthy the line was. There was food and sauce EVERYWHERE where they were preparing everyone's pizzas. As we moved down the line, we noticed that there was even food and crumbs in the cooler where the bottled drinks are stored. The cashier's customer service was severely lacking, I'm not sure if she ever made eye contact or acknowledged us aside from our pizza. Blaze was an unexpectedly pleasant surprise! We don't normally care for pizza but the fresh ingredients, subway style ordering, and overall healthier style was actually quite nice. Not greasy at all. Very thin crust, maybe 8", so one is perfect for a hungry guy. Pizza aside, what makes this place notable in my mind are the other details. While they offer beer (draft and bottle) and wine (limited), what's worth getting are their 4 lemonade-esq beverages. I hate lemonade that has more sugar than a soda, but their regular and blood orange lemonades were both beautifully balanced, and their two agua frescas actually had some nice flavor and weren't bland like most places. Really impressive. Desserts were limited but were a great end to our meal; my brother gave the warmed up brownie his highest praise, and he's something of a brownie connoisseur. Also of note was the sustainability vibe I got, namely that of a simply well thought out place that avoids waste when it isn't needed. Let me first say to ignore your map directions if you're using it to get to this place, but it will take you way past the location. Just look for the RE I store off Bryant Irvin Road and pull in. The actor misconception may be that your total wait time will be 10 minutes. That does not include waiting in line, repeating your order to the person taking it, watching your pizza being made and knowing they missed an ingredient, correcting the mistake, and does not account for multiple pizzas of course. But that being said, it's faster than Delivery! It's definitely faster than any other restaurant pizza joint. The pizza technicians at this location are so far very meticulous and exact in portioning their ingredients. It's a new store and this is usually, until it's been open for a while. They had just opened maybe 15 minutes before we walked in and it was just one couple in front of us. I guess they had never been before cause they took at least 15 minutes to order 3 pizzas. Also, it was at least 6 people there but only one lady was making pizzas(which I didn't understand). So my daughter and I finally get to order and we pay and go find a table... every single table in the restaurant was dirty.... But they just opened and there are 5 other people lingering in the back... and again they just opened 30 minutes ago and we're they're first customers for the day.... so I clean off one table that's not so dirty and go and get drinks... the drink area is dirty... it looks as if a towel has never seen this part of the restaurant at all... and again still you have 5 people in the back doing nothing.... tables dirty, floor has food on it, drink area nasty...I don't get it... don't think I'll be going back anytime soon! read more

I am so disappointed in this place because it used to be my go to pizza place! Every time I order the veg-out on gluten free its perfect! Except this time it was severely burned, all the way through the crust. They tried to give it to me and I simply explained that I was not going to eat it burnt. She tried to say that it was burnt because it was gluten free crust in which I replied it has never been burned any time I've order it. So the lady blankly stared at me, rolled her eyes, and threw it a couple feet away into the trash. I requested that they make a new one, she rolled her eyes again and stomped away to the front to tell the lady I guess. 20 minutes go by and I'm standing, waiting and they plop down basically dough with toppings on it. Tonight I had the most REMARKABLE Customer Service at Blaze Pizza of Fort Worth! Gianna delivered LEGENDARY Customer Service with a smile & a GRACIOUS attitude. I decided at the very last minute I wanted a Blaze Pizza because my brother is extremely fond of this establishment. I went in and they had about 15min left before closing. I'd never visited the establishment before so of course I had several questions & not one time did Gianna make me feel as though I was being rushed to make a selection nor did she act as if I was bothering her with all of my questions. In fact she was so delightful and explained the process, prices, & product. I was undecided about my sauce selection she offered a sample & even offered suggestions. Honestly, I haven't even tasted my pizza yet; however, the experience alone still has me in awe. I spoke with the General Manager Steve and he was just as pleasant! He's GOT IT Right! Very poor experience. My family went out and I ordered gluten free. The lady said okay. Moved on to the next customer. He ordered gluten free. The female working said "is that an allergy or a preference?" I interjected and said "mines an allergy" and she said "you didn't mention that." And I said "i was never asked" she reluctantly shouted "the other gluten free is an allergy. She never told me." Which is rude and unprofessional. Then, moving on to making the pizza. My brother in laws pizza had Gorgonzola cheese put on it. He told the male working mozzarella. The associate (who had headphones in both ears) proceeded to try to place the pizza in the oven after we attempted to tell him it was wrong multiple times. The cashier finally had to grab his arm to get his attention. When we said what was wrong he argued with my brother in law that he said that kind of cheese two times before he eventually remade the pizza. The headphones are a big problem when someone is taking orders. Why is that allowed? To continuously mess up orders? Now Then it came time to get the pizza. The two customers behind me got their pizza before mine. The person handling the pizza at the cut station did not change gloves or materials used to cut pizza or handle the pizza. and now I am in pain today, because I ordered gluten free for a reason. I like the pizza (hence the 2 stars), but as many others have pointed out, the customer service and organization is pretty bad. We made the mistake of not ordering in advance on Saturday evening... so the wait was long and the staff seemed way burned out for the most part. Standing in line SO long provided plenty of time for observation of the staff and dysfunctional flow. The only 2 staff that seemed to be doing ok were the 2 working alone -- they guy pressing the pie crust and the guy taking the pizzas out of the oven. Everyone on the line seemed to be having a really hard time. The girl who took our order was attempting to take orders quickly -- but it didn't seem to matter since the pace in front of her was not moving at the same speed and hence probably causing a lot of confusion. And I learned that they mix in the online orders with the people that are there. So we stood there and watched 6 online orders get put in front of our papers (orders) -- I get it, but kind of a turn off to see and I can see where it leads to major confusion of both the staff and customers. So the guy putting on the sauce was clearly frustrated with the girl taking the orders and organizing them out of order which further highlighted the issue. The girls doing all the topics -- cheese, meat, veggies, etc. were all pretty much baseline with poor eye contact and clearly unhappy to be there. It was like ordering from Subway... your still trying to tell them what type of cheese you would like and they've done moved on to veggies and are totally annoyed when you ask them to back up and put something on there that they flew past. That whole section was enough to make you not want to continue. At least the guy doing sauce smiled and engaged a little. Then the poor cashier -- OMG! He had like 8-9 orders in front of him -- again totally out of order -- and was just left to try to peace together the pieces. I could tell he was trying to get some correction from his co-workers but none of them seemed too concerned. The customers were attempting to help him out by basically re-telling him their orders since it was such a train wreck by that point. He was overwhelmed d/t bad flow. Then the icing on the cake was the unhappy female at the end of the line putting pizzas into boxes to go or serving plate if dining in. Lord help you if you had to correct her that your order was "to go" vs "dining in" -- ouch! I had to do this and I don't know how that pizza got in the box without getting it all over the box... I can only assume because the box was too frustrating at the moment to close properly and was tossed on the top of the counter partially open. There are these small metal numbers that are stuck in each pizza and part of what she did was take them out before she boxed them. There was a container sitting on the counter that the dirty metal numbers were to be placed in. I get it was busy, but they were getting tossed all around the area as we stood there and watched and waited for our order of 2 pizzas that somehow got separated by multiple other pizzas in the process. Another male worker stepped in & picked up the tossed numbers around the container several times and placed them in the container as it was clearly making a big mess and appeared to be happening more out of frustration. The vibe from most of the staff was clear frustration and probable burn out / don't get paid enough to care. And yes, sadly this is becoming more of a norm in American culture / quality of customer service thought, but damn! this place was pretty high on the marker! If you've ever watched that TV show where the guy goes in and attempts to revamp a failing restaurant or bar, I felt like I was watching it live the other night! I think the order online / app is great! Wish I would have remembered to use it the other night and out of sight out of mind everything else and would prob give 5 stars. But with that said, I did find it very much of a turnoff to watch a large young group of people come in behind us, sit down at the tables -- all bust out their phones/ apps and order like 10 pizzas that got bumped in front of those of us standing in line -- including elderly people. Thats probably just a generational / morale thing that has to do more with society vs this particular place. Given the fact that factory style is barbaric to most younger demographic targeted to work here, I would consider a separate work station in the back for online orders -- this way they aren't getting mixed up with in store customers orders; in store customers aren't seeing them take precedence after they've been standing in line for 30 minutes, and a solo staff could build pizzas at this station and decrease some of all that chaos and anger that goes with being forced to work in team. I don't know... just a thought. There has to be something that works smoother than this paper / sharpie method. read more

Wow! This was my first experience at Blaze. It was the absolute worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my life. This place is disgusting, messy, unorganized and the staff was beyond unprofessional. I'm grossed out and I am NOT a picky germaphobe! After ordering two pizzas, 4 dough knots, 3 drinks, and two s'mores. We went to find a table - they were filthy, drinks spilled on and under them, and the trashcan over-flowing. After cleaning our own table, we sat down. My kids went to get their drinks and my son came back telling me how messy it was at the drink area. The staff began yelling names as orders came out and we couldn't hear what they were saying so my son said he would go check. He came back with his pizza put it on the table and then went back for the second pizza. The lady told him "give me one second" and then he just waited and watched as the pizza sat there. He finally gave up and came back to the table. I then went to get the pizza. I was also told "give me a second". She then grabbed the papers that were sitting on the dirty countertop and placed them on top of each pizza sitting on the grates. A little gross, but whatever. She then puts the paper under my pizza and then hands it to me. At this point I asked if I could please have my 4 dough knots, as it was apparent she did not know they were a part of my order. They were also sitting on the grates. Her response was "give me a sec.". I waited for several minutes and finally gave up and went back to the table. We were almost done with the pizzas when my son decided to ask for the dough knots again. She responded with "give me a sec" again. He waited again and then got impatient and came back to the table. After we finished eating, I joked to my son that he should ask for refund for the dough knots. Well, he went to the lady and said, "We are done with dinner, may we please get a refund for our dough knots." The lady then threw a couple pizza trays on the counter, stomped around, hit a machine, and finally knocked over a pizza tray and stormed to the back. My son was sooo scared, he came back to the table and said "Let's leave. She is going to come after me." He then ran to the door. At this point I said, "No, we are going to ask for a manager." After asking for a manager, "Gus" came up. Gus was rude and irritated that we asked for a manager. He said "What is your problem." I stated that I was concerned that this restaurant had overflowing trash, dirty tables, and spilled drinks on the floor. His response was "Well, we are busy. I was going to clean the trash now." I then informed him that we also didn't get our dough knots. He said "Well, I know your son asked for them" and looked away and then kind of just stared at me. He acted as if I was rude for even letting him know. I told him we paid for them (and s'mores we never received) and even paid a 15% tip. After his rude reaction I told him that I had pictures of the restaurant. He said "Well, I cant help you". We then left the restaurant, no refund, no dough knots, no s'mores, and a scared kid. We will never return. I don't recommend anyone eat at this disgusting, poorly run, and managed restaurant. I am certain they lost many customers tonight. read more

The pizza is really good but that does not make up for poor customer service. Tonight was my kiddos first time here and I was asked why the pizza makers are so mean. From the young lady that impatiently threw her marker down when she couldn't hear my name to the young man that acted inconvenienced when my son was asking for his toppings. The cashier consistently carried out the tone of the whole experience and I just can't believe that I voluntarily paid $60.00 to take my family to dinner and was treated so poorly. I've been teaching my kids how to be "good customers" and always express appreciation for those who assist us... and when they said thank you for their pizza, they weren't even acknowledged! Heard good things about this place so gave it a try. I would totally rate this higher if it hadn't been for the customer service. I'll get the positive out of the way first. The pizza was great. The ingredients were fresh and plentiful and loved the variety. I would actually rate this a 4 or 5 if it wasn't for the bad side. My partner and I went through the line which seemed to go at a snails pace. I get it that it's a weekend night and lots of people, however it seemed to be rather slow. We finally get through and wait for our pizza to be ready (we got it to go). Waited 5 minutes which seemed odd since people who were in line after us were getting theirs. So I go up and ends up they put my pizza in a pile of to go pizzas of someone else's order. My partners pizza is no where to be found they apparently gave it to someone else. Sat there while they were scrambling with other people's orders before they finally decided they should remake my partners pizza (probably around 10 minutes later) all while mine was getting cold. Wasn't impressed at all they really didn't seem to care at all. The gal prepping the cooked pizza had some major attitude problem as well. Was snappy at anyone who as much as talked to her. They clearly didn't want to deal with customers at all. I'm going to chalk this up to a bad day and try again on a less crowded day in the future. This is my second visit to this location. Both times were for takeout orders. Both times ordered online, and both times the orders weren't ready at the selected pick-up times. The first time I figured it was a one time error. This time I scheduled our pick-up times for 6:30PM. I arrive at 6:25 and instantly go up to the counter. To my surprise the pizza's weren't even in the oven. I am not even slightly exaggerating when I say that I walked out of there at 6:57 on the dot. I arrive back at the base where me and my co-worker are eager to finally eat. My buddy opens up his box to discover a slew of onions on a pizza that he clearly directed there to be none on. We checked the receipts that come stuck on top of the box to see if he may have made a mistake. Low and behold it read clear as day 'No Onions'. I sat here for about 4 minutes watching him remove each onion one by one with a fork. The pizza's were soggy and could've used more time in the oven. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place. I've had identical issues both times I've gone. From the looks of other reviews, these complaints seem to be relatively common. This place has potential, but they aren't doing a very good job of producing quality that they surely are capable of. read more

I don't understand the point of offering order ahead service if it will not be made by the estimated time and is not quicker than ordering in person. I've been here twice only because it's the only pizza near me similar to MOD pizza. The first time was terrible! All the girls were standing around talking. Took forever to finally start putting the toppings on my pizza. I clearly asked for red sauce and she proceeded to put on white. I was already annoyed at this point so I didn't stop her. The employees were so rude. I asked for ranch and the guy just shook his head no at me and handed me my pizza. I decided to give it another shot and went back today. We went in an hour before closing and when we walked in the doors the girls gave us a dirty look. We ordered out pizza and the girl taking our order asked the other group of girls standing around talking if they could start a thick crust. They ignored her and continued to chat so she ended up getting it herself. Took forever. Keep in mind we were the only customers in line so they weren't even busy. Then when we went to pay the continued to ignore us and the girl using the register didn't even know how to and the other girls wouldn't help. Finally when I went to grab my pizza the girl cutting it started touching the pineapple and moving them around with her bare hands! At that point I was fucking done and won't be returning. Really good pizza! They have a chipotle style setup where you build your pizza as you go.. lots of opinions and they even have a gluten free crust if you're wheat free. I went there with friends and then again with my husbands and On my second visit i noticed one down side is this place is dirty.. like everywhere I looked it needed to be cleaned. Spilled sauces and topping all over counters and floors, dirty glass walls, messy trash can areas and dirty drink areas as well.
