Blaze is probably my favorite pizza place because they know how to cook gluten-free pizza right!! The staff is berry cautious about allergies, so celiacs like me can rest easy knowing they won't leave feeling sick. The crust is cooked right there, not frozen so right away you know that the pizza will turn out the closest to "regular" pizza that you'll ever get as a celiac. So if you haven't been here before, it's basically a build your own pizza joint. You can order from some suggested pizzas off their menu or build your own. You can put as little or as many toppings as you like. I did have questions about the toppings, which the employees were able to check in the book. But my only suggestion is I wish the ingredients were clearly labeled in the window so I didn't have to hold up the line. I'm so crazy about this place I can't even begin to tell you!!! At $7.95 with UNLIMITED toppings for a build your own personal thin crust pizza, you really can't go wrong at all. Super FRESH ingredients, a variety of options, and such a cheap price that it becomes a favorite for everyone. My fave is the WHITE TOP pizza that comes with Alfredo sauce, bacon, arugula, chopped garlic, oregano - and then I ask for pesto sauce on the crust, EXTRA cheese :), salami, pepperoni, onions, green peppers, and banana peppers. Blaze actually should be rated as 4 Stars because the food was actually very good but bc of the service error I had to drop them one star. This is a cool place, think chipotle but for pizza. You can order ahead or just come in and pick your toppings and wait. I decided to go with the red vine which was my favorite with mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, parmesan, basil, red sauce, and an olive oil drizzle. I also got a Link is which had italian sausage, roasted red peppers, sauteed onions, mozzarella with red sauce. So they tried to give me the wrong pie then I had to wait another 12 minutes for the right one to cook while my other pizza got cold. It was very frustrating bc half the kids working there didn't seem to know what they were doing. First off all there is basically no where to eat in the Broadway mall so I was very intrigued and happy to see that a new restaurant had replaced Johnny Rockets. What a great idea to have a build your own pizza assembly line similar to the way they do things at places like chipotle. They are quick and the price is right. Around 8$ for a personal pizza with as many toppings as you like. The crust is perfectly thin with a fabulous crisp on it, just the way I like it! First of all let me say the pizza was good. I'd suggest to go there for some good pizza NOW... Here's why I'm giving it a 3 I ordered my food online and after I submitted it, it said they don't cook until you got there. It's good I didn't order this on my work lunch break otherwise I wouldn't make it back in time. So I get there at my exact time. 6:50. I walk up to the counter and it was busy. I'm standing right in front of the cashier and it took him literally 5 minutes to ask me if I was picking up (just note, I said excuse me 2 times in 5 minutes but he was too busy with walk-in customers). I said Yes I'm picking up. He asked my name and couldn't find my order that was supposed to be made before I picked up. So now it's 6:57. He then asks me the most stupidest question ever. "would you like me to apply your online payment to today's order?" I'm not quite sure what other options there are... So all in all I got there at 6:50 and I was out by 7:09. These should really think about having the pizza ready at the time of pick up. read more

My girlfriend and I have gone here twice, both completely different experiences. The first time we were there the service was great, the workers behind the counter took there time and made the pizza nicely. They happy took care of my request when I walked back with my fresh out the oven pie to ask for cold mozzarella cheese on top. Plus they were very caring when my girlfriend told them she has a gluten allergy and would like the gluten free dough. The workers changed their gloves so there won't be any cross contamination of wheat from the other doughs. When we were sitting down the manager was kind enough to walk around ask how our experience was. We had a great experience and we definitely would go back. Recently, when we went back the experience was not as great as the first. It seemed like the workers just got out of school and didn't have a care in the world about their job. They were sloppy, slow and standing around which caused the line to build up. I had my first experience at Blaze Pizza yesterday after being told it was great, it was great, I should try this, it's great. Truthfully, I was pretty disappointed. They advertised themselves as vegan-friendly and then everything is cross-contaminated. A list of what disappointed me... 1) The area the food was kept in was filthy. There was cheese EVERYWHERE. Literally, there were stray mozzarella strands everywhere, including the sauce. If this place was in New York City, it would have a "C" on the door, or the board of health might've even shut it down. But, it's Nassau County, where the Board of Health doesn't even use computers, so it's just fine. 2) Nobody changed their gloves, even if you specifically mentioned you were vegan. The girl who put my Daiya cheese on the pizza was touching ham and pepperoni and parmesan moments before. Her gloves were greasy and disgusting. 3) The pizza cutter was not clean. It just sat in a dry container waiting to cut every pizza that came out of the over. On top of these issues, the pizza was just okay. The sauce was watery and didn't taste like much, the toppings were okay (roasted garlic was a good touch) and the pizza didn't come out very good. For my $8, I could go to a real place and get real pizza with good sauce and good toppings. Very disappointing, not just from a vegan perspective, but because everyone claims to care about allergies. Poor management and bad staff training has made it nearly certain I'll never return to Blaze. read more

This should be a 5 star review, because that is how much I love Blaze, and I come here at least once a week sometimes more. I was so happy to find out about the Keto Pizza Crust! Love it. On my last visit I decided to try a side salad, they looked so appetizing. The buffalo chicken was brand new and looked so good with all kinds of good stuff on it. So I order it and continue to get my pizza. As I'm looking at my salad I notice nothing but lettuce. All the great stuff such as tomatoes, chicken cheese etc was left off. I actually felt cheated at my favorite restaurant for the first time. Noticed that there are several fast casual make your own pizzerias popping up over the area. This is one is not bad, but not the greatest. I do not think its as good as Pizza Rev which used to have two locations in Nassau, in Syosset and in Valley Stream. I guess the good thing in its favor is that for a franchise its far superior to Dominos or Pizza Hut but other than that its just ok, nothing special. read more

Lots of options for all kinds of dietary concerns which unfortunately is my life. I loved my experience at Blaze! It was my first time there and the employees were really friendly and made sure to explain the process - you can select one of their already designed pizzas or create your own for 7.95 which is what I chose. You start with a blank thin crust then they add your choice of sauce (I went with spicy marinara which I highly recommend!) then they add your cheese (I was delighted to see they had vegan mozzarella!) and as many toppings as you want. They are definitely NOT stingy with the toppings as they kept asking if they had put enough as they went. There are lots of yummy toppings including different types of olives, artichokes, roasted garlic, sautéed onions, etc. Once you are happy with your creation they put it in the oven where it cooks in just a few minutes. My pizza arrived perfectly crispy and delicious. It was too much to finish but thy had to-go boxes on the counter for you to grab on your way out. I Love Blaze Pizza. I usually get the "build your own" with unlimited toppings. It's a good value and I get to have it just the way I want it. The options are great and I love there seasonal Coconut drink. My only concern is that they can be careless with making sure the toppings don't mix. For example, I have had to tell them on several occasions that there were pieces of meat and/or mushrooms in the garlic. As someone who doesn't like mushrooms and more importantly as a vegetarian this is a cause for concern. But I must say that they have always been accommodating about changing the tray for a fresh one and apologizing, without getting an atitude about it. So they have been professional, which I appreciate. I would like management to think of ways the staff can be more attentive to this. Otherwise, this is a great place. read more

Waited 5 minutes to pay, then another 14 minutes to get the Pizza. My pie was moved around over a dozen times before being boxed as Online orders took priority, cut and boxed out of the oven as my Pizza was moved from side to side. Pizza is good, and I will go back but seriously to the management of this location...you need to tell your night staff that they need to work together and start doing their jobs better. They should take more pride in their work regardless of where they work in life. This worker specifically needs to step up his game and show a little more enthusiasm about his work(below is a picture of said worker). I get that you work at a fast food place, but do your job to the fullest extent or work somewhere you love...life is too short to work someplace you hate. I had to ask him multiple times to put a little more ingredients and to not clump them up in the middle or same spot in the pizza.
