Blaze now has its own standalone restaurant on Shelbyville Road, near the malls. After seeing Paw Patrol with my son -- a thrilling epic of a movie, to be sure -- I wanted to reward him with pizza for being so well behaved in one of his first movies. I had seen that there is a drive-thru and remember how speedy Blaze has been on previous visits to their old location. But when I got closer, I saw that it's for mobile orders only. OK, I thought, so I pulled over and downloaded the app and ordered a pizza ... only to find out it would be 20 minutes until it was ready. Ugggh. So my son and I went inside to order. While there was a line, it moved pretty fast. And once I ordered, our pizza was done in less than five minutes. It was also decently priced at roughly $8 for an 11-inch pizza. The pizza tasted great when we got home. I definitely recommend the sprinkle of sea salt on top. My son was overjoyed. Next time, I'm going to get my act together and order ahead of time, so I can pick it up via the drive-up window. read more

We arrived when they first opened and somehow the dining area was already sticky and dirty. Little pieces of trash were on the tables and a few on the floor. For a place that does fired pizza they sure skipped out on mine. I don't want it to be blackened but I would like it to atleast be crisp. This particular location is off shelbyville road in the Saint Mathews neighborhood of Louisville Kentucky. Despite being a pretty well known brand for several years me and the family hadn't tried blaze until this past Friday. It was a lent Friday so we decided on cheese pizza for lunch and we didn't want anything too heavy so we decided to give blaze a shot. We walked up to the window and places are simple order of a cheese pizza and a Cesar salad. The pizzas are personal pan style and think crust and wood fire cooked. The pizza can feed 1-2 people depending on appetites. After dressing our pizza or probably took 5 min for them to cook it. So not too bad. Pricing was a smidge higher than I'd like. Considering I can get a larger pizzas and salads for about the same price at other nearby places. The pizza itself was just ok. Not much substance. If I had to compare it to anything it would be a Tostito's oven pizza but with herbs and spices. My wife salad was really good. Serves in an oversized bowl she said she was pleasantly surprised. Overall blaze is a solid franchise and I can see the allure. Made to go pizza is very appealing. I'd be willing to come back and ample other pizza toppings and sides. read more

My family of 4 grabbed a table to enjoy Blaze pizza for a late lunch. We each ordered the half pizza, half cheese sticks. Loved the pizza portion but next time would skip the cheese sticks and go full pizza. The sticks lacked cheese is all areas and were dry. Lots of seating inside and thankfully a full staff to keep the line moving and the food delivered to the tables. Blaze pizza has a BYO Build Your Own Pizza option and it's great for both vegans and non vegans! Our family of 3 have a lot of conflicting preferences so ordering a pizza to split is not an option. Thank goodness for Blaze! We actually prefer to make pizzas at home but this is a great option if we are out and about. Blaze does have vegan cheese but I'm not a fan of vegan cheese so I load up on toppings I love and I don't even miss cheese! This was my first time eating here. It was very nice and clean, parking was just enough for the establishment, so no issues there. It is set up kind of like a Subway style restaurant. I stopped in here this afternoon for a quick lunch. I have never had blaze pizza before and been wanting to try it. So I ordered it on the app and I showed up and as soon as I showed up in the curbside the gentleman came out with my pizza and said Jeremy? I said yes I need to call or do anything they just saw me right up and gave it right to me which was awesome. I opened up the food and noticed that the pizza was very light and crispy and not heavy which I like. I have never had any concerns about the pizza until today. I ordered two identical pizzas but one looks as though it has been sitting there for at least an hour and the other one has the wrong kind of cheese. I could have lived with that but then this happened! When I've tried to call the restaurant I was asked to go online to give feedback. Could not find that information either. UPDATE: It's time for an update and how convenient. It's time to update Blaze and I was just in there for the first time in a long time over the weekend. I was on my way to a movie and my stomach was growling at me. People might've kicked me out of the theater had I not ate anything. My stomach was loud! I was looking for something quick and Blaze fit the description. The pizza is still good but I prefer the other create-your-own pizza place on Hurstbourne. If you reference my last review, I was worried about the quality over time. I was also worried that they'd try to work with a skeleton crew and the place would suffer. It was nice to see 6-8 employees on hand to deal with people. Some of the ingredients looked fine but some of them didn't look so fresh. I did notice that they had a seasonal ingredient... cut thin brussels sprouts! That was a nice surprise that I couldn't pass up. They used to ask you what type of crust you wanted and I'd always opt for wheat. I think they might've done away with that question because they gave me plain crust without even asking me the question. The line seemed to keep moving for me and while I was eating. The fast concept is still in place. The last thing that was noticeable was how messy the place was. It was more with greasy fingerprints all around. It was noticeable when walking in. I mean... I know it was mid-day on a Saturday but the doors/windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned or wiped down in weeks. Not much has changed in this restaurant so I'm guessing they stay busy. I'm keeping my star count at three because the food is fine. If you're in a pinch and need something fast in the area... stop in here and order a pizza. If your stomach has time to drive, drive a little further for something else. For me on that particular Saturday, it worked out perfect. I had a 2:50 movie, arrive here at 2:20, pizza ready by 2:30, finished eating by 2:40, hopped over to the theater by 2:46 and sit down just as the previews were starting. read more
