We have frequented here since the opening. They have a small patio so we can bring our dog as well. Lots of toppings to choose from and several aqua Fresca choices as well. You also can choose a drizzle and the pizza comes out of the oven. We have only eaten in but if you eat slowly, the pizza starts getting soggy. Let me start by saying that I usually love Blaze Pizza, and I get no joy out of writing a negative review. Today, though, we couldn't even get through the line, which was backed up halfway to the door and not moving. It was about 6:00 pm; no pizzas were getting made, no orders were being taken. Crew members were standing around looking confused. No one seemed to be in charge. We waited a little over 5 minutes, then followed the others who were stepping out of line and leaving. Based on some of the other recent reviews I read, it seems service has really suffered. I hope management will take note and step in to resolve the problems. read more

Come prepared to make decisions. You get to choose everything about your pizza - toppings to bottom (aka the crust). There are suggested options on the menu that you can just point to and make your life easy, you can alter them, or you can build your own masterpiece. Besides having control over your pizza destiny, you have a few yummy dessert options and flavorful natural drink choices. It's SO nice to finally have restaurant options in Midlothian and Blaze is great for an easy lunch or dinner and the kids will be very happy (so much better quality than the other pizza chains). The other piece of good news is that the pizza cooks quickly so you don't have to wait long to enjoy your creation. The only negative I have is that the salads didn't look very appealing. Overall, pretty tasty pizza! Lots of options including a "create your own" option. The veggies were all fresh and the dough/crust was great. I had the "White Top" which had a white cream sauce base- it was delicious! My mom ordered pepperoni and mushroom with your basic red sauce and it was also really good, the only criticism is that her crust was cooked a tad too long and was a little burnt on the bottom. They were super busy when we were there so hopefully the black tinge was a result of just being a little too busy and not a pattern. We will definitely be back to find out. read more

My experience wasn't as great as others. There pizza is a little better than CiCis pizza. I ordered the BBQ Chicken pizza. The crust was pretty good, their toppings weren't bad at all with the exception of the Gorgonzola which tasted a bit funny. There needed to be more bbq sauce on the pizza. The lack of sauce made the pizza very dry. After eating my pizza I was forced to spend a lot of time in the bathroom for the rest of the day. I can't tell you if the pizza is good or not because you can't order on the phone. Tried to order using their website, kept getting timed out. After half an hour I called and wanted to order take out pizza over the phone. Guess what? They would not take the order because they are not set up to do so. How is that possible? Tried out this great concept pizza joint. For the third time today. I got the build your own with extra cheese. Food came so very fast I hardly got back to the table before they called my name. Which is great only I think my pizza could have used another minute or two in the fire. I still managed to eat the whole thing. They also changed their crust but not in a bad way it was square now it's round no worries I would recommend checking it out its clean, fresh, fast and delicious. My fiancé and I have been wanting to try this place since it opened but never got around to it. So last night after leaving a late movie we decided to stop in for a bite. We arrived about 30 minutes before they closed and the staff was friendly and very accommodating even though I know they were ready to start cleaning things up lol. The lady who made our pizzas was very patient as my fiancé and worked out what we wanted. She even made sure she put enough cheese on per my extra cheese request. Our pizzas didn't take long to make at all, we got them to go. Once we got home (we live about 5 minutes away) the pizzas were still hot and they were delicious!!! Good chipotle/subway style type pizza joint! Even greater deal for unlimited amount of fresh toppings for $7.95 + tax. I do agree with one reviewer on not doing enough to separate dairy free/gluten free toppings to try to avoid cross contamination for people with allergies/food sensitivities. Hopefully they will take note to do better in this area. Other than that, pizza is cooked quick & tastes awesome! Definitely download the app to collect "flames" for each pizza bought to earn a free pizza after the 10th purchase, along with other deals that are offered. Assembly line could use a little improvement for faster service when the line is long during peek lunch & dinner times. Would definitely recommend for pizza lovers! The good: pizza was tasty fresh and hot. Bad: it took five minutes to order because order taker kept stopping to pull online orders. We then had to wait a while for someone to come over and put toppings on pizza. The tables and floor were messy. Two soda flavors were out. I haven't been here in a couple of months and they have taken a real dive. They either need more help or better management. Employees didn't seem to care when I told them about the soda. The food here is fine. Typical Blaze Pizza chain. The service is pretty bad. The woman running the register is extremely surly, cold and rude. I noticed it when I was checking out, but it was much more apparent when I checked in about a problem. One of the fountain beverages had a very strong plastic-y taste. Something was definitely wrong with that drink (I tried another and it was fine). I went to the counter to let the staff know, and she just gave me a dirty look and ignored me. Loved it! Great selection and delicious ! Everyone can choose their own pizza so no fussing! Cooked in a real pizza oven. We all had thin crust which I think is the original. Since you can select from so many toppings and options, every review will be different depending on what you end up creating. This past visit (our 2nd) I had the Build Your Own, which I selected spicy red sauce, mozzarella, feta, pepperoni, Italian sausage, minced garlic and oregano. It was very good, and since the pizzas are the perfect size, I devoured the entire pie. All of the toppings here taste fresh, which I think is the key to their pizzas tasting so good. Some may compare it to subway, but that's not a fair comparison as Subway is no where near the quality of Blaze. The only negative thing I could say, and it's not really negative, is that everyone behind the counter moves in slow motion. It amazed me how 12 employees behind a counter can move so slow. I"m sure (and hoping) that once their open a while longer, production will speed up a bit. I also watched management notice how slow it was going, but didn't jump in to help speed things up. Instead, they just let things run their course. I notice things like that.. So, if you end up giving Blaze anything under a 5 star rating, it's most likely your fault for creating the wrong pizza. read more

I LOVE BLAZE. This is by far my favorite pizza place. Basically all you want toppings for $8, you can't beat that. It's also great if you're vegetarian or vegan since they have so many options. Blood Orange lemonade and the brownies are a must try! I will say that some of their employees could use a little bit more training in customer service. We waited for about 10min to pay for our for food, and the cashier didn't even come over to offer an explanation why or an apology. It only has happened to us once, and we did get some freebies. Had a coupon for a free pizza, so I figured I had literally nothing to lose trying it out. I have tried Pie Five when it first opened in Short Pump, and it frankly wasn't great. I expected something similar here, and as far as conceptually, it is. Customize a pizza, like you would at Pie Five or MOD and wait for it to bake and consume. Thankfully, the pizzas seem more generously portioned and sized than at Pie Five. I have not tried MOD yet, so I cannot draw any comparisons to the actual product there. I got the Hot Link, which is a spicy sausage pizza with jalapeños, red onions, banana peppers and a spicy red sauce. The food was actually quite good and the service was surprisingly excellent for a place of this caliber. The staff was extremely polite, friendly and prompt and the experience was pleasant aside from the crowd of not particularly attentive, considerate or intelligent people there at the time (dude behind me, stop comparing this place to Little Caesar's, if you want cheap, flavorless pizza, go there and stop complaining about paying $8.25 for something with decent quality ingredients and stop bumping into me because you don't know how not to bury your face in your damn smartphone) but the restaurant can hardly be blamed for that. Even though I got a freebie, I would say the food is certainly worth the price of admission and I have no qualms with making a return visit. read more
