This store is very poorly ran. If you are wanting to order ahead in hopes of it being ready for an easy pickup think again. I have visited this particular store numerous times, and they never fail to disappoint. I always have to wait at least ten minutes for an online order that should have been ready when I arrived. However, this past service was completely abysmal. To began with, I went over to the pickup station and my order was not ready once again. So I decided to wait like typical, and numerous employees were talking to each other and not busy with any customers, and nobody bothered to ask me if I needed any help. It took a good ten minutes for an employee to even acknowledge me and ask if I needed help or the name of the order I was waiting for. Furthermore, while waiting fifteen minutes for my order to be completed, another guest came in ordered their pizza and got their pizza to go while I am still waiting on my pizza that I ordered prior to even entering the store. Today was an off day at this location. The staff seemed really over everything and had no sense of urgency. Had to repeat a pizza order multiple times, the meat lover pizza, only to watch them put only sausage on it? When we corrected the guy again, he just got annoyed and haphazardly threw meats onto the dough. Gave one pizza 4 jalapeños and 6 banana peppers, really disappointed and wasn't worth trying to get the people to care that they weren't up to par. I don't even want to a star. Blaze online service is bullshit. They charged my credit but I had a gift card. So when I called to correct it, the phone number on my gift card receipt was not in service. I then went online to get the correct number. So I called to dispute the charge and they told me to call corporate. I was already irritated as f!*k but I called corporate. I just get automated recording saying press 1 for this, press 2 for this. None of the options was related to my issue. So I selected anything to leave a message. This was 2 days ago and still no response from corporate. Ok I can say now I am a happy Blaze customer at the Palm Desert location. After all my bad past experiences, I kept my commitment to not coming back here. One day my co worker came in with blaze pizza and gave me a slice. I tried it because it actually looked great compare to the way I seen it before and it was amazing! Imagine my surprise as a person who has purchased Blaze gluten free pizzas for years to walk in very hungry after missing breakfast to find out that I can't get a gluten free pizza without cheese in it. Bummer, since I'm extremely lactose intolerant and gluten intolerant. Big fail on the part of corporate to take away a vegan and gluten free option for people, just to jump on the cauliflower pizza bandwagon. The least they could do was offer a dairy-free cauliflower crust. But, no, 2 versions of the cauliflower crust, both with mozzarella cheese. I came in here the other day for the first time and received the best service I think I've ever. The small girl behind the counter immediately greeted me and welcomed me into the restaurant. She exceeded my expectations for customer service! I had no idea how to order a personal pizza here and she walked me through the steps and was patient when I couldn't make up my mind for toppings. Okay, Mod Pizza is our favorite but it is too far away from where we live. We were told by a Mod Manager /Owner that Blaze Pizza is the one that gives them a run for their money. We've also tried Pieology and Pizza Studio and both were okay but fell way short of Mod Pizza. Alas, we find Blaze Pizza, ironically close to the Pieology we tried a couple months prior. Blaze was not up for the challengeand unfortunately it was in the same category of the other two and nowhere close to Mod Pizza. Positive points are that they do offer a healthy variety and gluten-free dough. The meats match all the other pizza places but I will say they don't have the variety of toppings Mod offers in vegetables and other toppings. They do offer a spicy red sauce that I don't like but my son did try. The spicy heat builds up and it gets pretty intense for amateur chile eaters, probably not for those who like the kick. The pizza is fast, the dough is really good but it did lack something that I cannot figure it out. The drinks are the big plus at Blaze with Pure Cane Sugar Sodas from Blue Sky and the best was a blood orange lemonade that was incredible. The Pear drink was different and exceptionally good. I believe it would be better in the summer. The negative side of the place was during the preparation. As I watched a customer ask for goat cheese the employee didn't know which one it was until the customer pointed it out to her. Granted, it could have been a new employee so not all bad. What was the most annoying to me was how they seemed to want to rush you through the preparation process. They would quickly put the item you wanted and try and get you to the next step of the assembly line. I had to slow them down and back them up, not once, not twice but THREE times. It was rather irritating but I understand that that is caused by the customer wanting everything done as quickly as possible. It wasn't rush period or the peak of the lunch /dinner hour and I was in no hurry. Not sure if this speed prep is to save money by limiting the items you put on your pizza or speed for the customer to get theirs, eat and get out for another customer. All in all, the place doesn't deserve a 3 Star or 4 Star but somewhere in between. It was clean but if I had to flip a coin between Pieology or Blaze Pizza , I would probably skip both and go somewhere else. PS: The music is terrible in the restaurant. read more

I am in love with this place! You pick out your toppings while they add them in front of you (Chipotle style) and once they "Fire it Up!" It takes 3-4 minutes to finish. I was writing this as I waited. The team member named Keirsten that cut the pizza and boxed it was really rude, slamming things around, rolling her eyes at customers, and when she gave me the wrong pizza she got mad at me. When I told her it was to go, I thought she was going to strangle me! Sadly, review decreased from a 5 star to a 3 star because of my interaction with her. Service is horrible here. Workers don't seem to care about anything but clocking out. They took their time and I mean their time making those pizzas. I say I got there at about 9:25pm and it took them a good 35min to simply put the toppings on our 3 build our owns not including the oven time. I have been to Blaze it Pizza before In the Riverside area. This was my first time trying this one since it just opened recently. I was in a bit of a rush so I decided to do their online ordering. When I arrived I headed over to the online pick up side. It seemed like they don't have a consistent plan quite yet because I still had to wait a bit for them to service me. I was fine with that since it seemed like they were quite busy. They had some issues because the lady at the register didn't really know how to bring up the online orders. As a side note , they make the pizza when you order online , but don't bake it until you arrive and pay. I chose the deeper crust option where you have to pay more and it's definitely not worth the extra 2 dollars. Overall, good experience but I just wished they would improve their online ordering process. read more

Their staff was okay, not rude, but far from friendly. They didn't really seem to know what they were doing. First pizza was burnt, second was bland. Wasn't very many places to sit. Where we did find a seat though, was right below a disgustingly dirty vent that looked like it had never been cleaned. I can only imagine what their kitchen looked like.
