It pains me to write this review, I feel like I'm writing a eulogy. I wrote a great review almost a year ago, but over the past 6 months there has been an absence of good management, and at the top there has been a decline and lack of care that ranges from lack of training your General manager to know the business, to changing to thick yucky pizza sauce, to AIR CONDITIONING that's been out of order for over 2 weeks, come on !!! get this REPAIRED we don't live in a third world country !!! your customers who support your business don't deserve this and even more your employees should not have to work in this heat . The old staff Miles, Nancy, Lex, Max and Randy are ALL amazing AND this has nothing to do with the staff, it has everything to do with management. Randy who's been there the longest and is a rock star why not promote him! Wake up and treat your people right or soon there will be a eulogy. read more

Blaze is basically Chipotle for pizza but with a lot more options. I opt for 'build your own pizza' since I am pretty picky with what I like, but there is a pizza and salad menu as well in case all of their options are overwhelming. I think I had avoided Blaze (and other fast pizza places) for a while because I didn't think it would be any faster than any other pizza place, but boy was I wrong. It's astounding to me how quickly I can build my own selection and have it in hand, cooked to perfection in just a couple minutes. Anyways, you approach the bench and choose your dough base (they have gluten free, high rise, etc), sauce type, cheese type, and then build toppings. I'm pretty plain but there are plenty of 'exotic' choices as well. You basically pay more depending on how many toppings you add, although my first visit I asked for two and wound up not paying for the third I added in. All the ingredients look and taste super fresh. You pay while the pizza is cooking, and by the time you fill up your drink at the soda machine, your pizza is ready to eat. Blazing fast, indeed. Amazing. I also tried a Smore cookie dessert and was not impressed as it was a bit on the stale side, but my pizza was top notch. Dough was just the right amount of chewy, good ratio of sauce and cheese to toppings, and as I mentioned, fresh veggies/meat on top. Price is very fair at less than $10 a pie, and it's very filling. I usually eat 5 slices in a sitting and struggle to finish the last, so a very good size for a "personal" pizza. Parking is a little tricky in the area being on busy Colorado. But putting together price, size, speed, ingredients, taste and staff = big thumbs up. read more

We all know the concept: Pay one flat price, choose any toppings you like and build your own pizza. Every visit can yield something entirely different, since there are many options and combinations to choose from, so it never gets old ... unless you don't like pizza (you weirdo) I had Blaze several times at their Monrovia location, so this was nothing new. But the actual highlight of this visit was the service. Everyone was very friendly, personable and gave a little extra that I haven't experienced at Pieology or even at the Monrovia Blaze location. Even though they seemed busy to me, the employees performed like a well trained team. They didn't seem impatient, and acted like we were the only customers in there. The guy at the end of the counter was superb. After calling out my order for pickup, he even offered to replace the hot pizza pan with a new, cooler one so it's easier for me to carry back to my table. And for som reason, even thought they were busier than the other build-your-own pizza places, my pies seem to have come out of the oven faster. Well trained staff, good tasting pizza with so many options to choose from, and taking the first bite in minutes make this Blaze in Pasadena a must return for me. read more

I don't eat out lunch very often when I'm at work, but it was a beautiful day and I decided to treat myself. I have never been to Blaze Pizza, but in the past, I used to go to Pieology (same concept). The pizza was delicious. I'm a big fan of thin crust. Although, I found the staff in the North Hollywood location to be cold and unfriendly as if they were just going through the motions and were not especially happy to be there. This place used to be great, we used to eat here frequently as my kids love this place. The last several times have been pretty awful, burnt pizzas, lost orders, greatly diminished food and ingredient quality, lack of proper social distance protocols, rough customer service, you name it, all the bad things. Today, however, was a new low. Too Long, Didn't Read version: Customers don't respect social distancing and employees won't intervene. It's not that hard to wear a mask and give people space, seriously. Also, file under disorganized and apathetic customer service and low quality food. Get in line with me and check out today's experience below, if you are so inclined. My kid's school was supposed to have a fundraiser here today starting at 11am. I called 3 times, got hung up on every time and then finally got through to the store. I was told that there was no record of any fundraiser and I must have gotten the date wrong. Nope, actually I didn't! So I went in person and tried again. This business and their disorganized chaos probably caused a loss of revenue for a school, which is really unfortunate. Schools should think twice about partnering with this company on a fundraiser, frankly. Unfortunately, this is where things went from bad to worse. While I am in line to try and speak with the manager about this fundraiser fiasco, a big group of loud, obnoxious and clueless customers got in line behind me. After 10 minutes or so of these people with their half hanging off masks getting closer and closer to me, I finally asked the loudest and closest one to give me a little space so I can order. The cashier ignored the fact that this guy now was less than 12" away from me with the rest of his 5 or 6 person entourage all less than 6 feet away with their struggling masks half on. He then proceeded to tell me "it's okay, you just need to move away" when I was trying to order my food from the spot he was standing in now. The cashier completely ignored this guy quite literally breathing down my neck. He was insanely rude and I just wanted to order food for a fundraiser. It wasn't okay and the employees should not have let this guy verbally abuse me for simply waiting in line and try to order from the starting point. I spoke to the person who wasn't really a manager and was told that the GM couldn't find any info about the fundraiser. She then tried to give me a bunch of free stuff- dessert, pizza, drinks. Told me that I just probably needed to eat something because I was mad or whatever. It was weird because she wouldn't stop even when I told her I did NOT want free food. I wanted to support my kid's school. This was disappointing on so many levels. I would have looked past their massive decline on food quality to support my kid and her school, but this customer service fiasco was too much. I will not be returning to this Blaze or any other Blaze. It's just not worth getting harangued by pushy and irate customers and dealing with poor customer service handling of such experiences. The cashier could have easily asked the guy to wait his turn and move to his place in line. Instead she made me have the awkward conversation with him. One of the original make-your-own pizza chain and still my favorite! Came in recently and they now have different salads as well. I love having BBQ sauce and crafting my own version of the Hawaiian pizza. Their choices of meats and veggies are pretty good even for the pickiest eater. I like the matcha ice tea in their self serve aqua fresca section. Very nice addition! They have specials like 3/14 Pie Day for $3.14 or 10/4 after 4pm $4 a pizza. Came in for a quick lunch while in the area. This was my second time here (third time at any Blaze) and I have to say, my pizza was pretty darn good. I'm learning more about the process each time I go! Today I realized that extras crispy was an option so that's what I did and I loved it!! This particular location was extremely busy, but the line went by quickly. There were a few times employees would come up to us to see if we're doing okay and to clean the pizza trays. At the pick up area there was another employee helping to take pizzas to people. Great service here! The food was tasty and the servers in the production line were friendly. One of the down falls was the section where people waited for their orders overlapped with the section where drinks and utensils were. In addition, it was right up against one of the tables which I happened to sit it. We had people's backs and butts in close proximity and it felt quite cramped. Perhaps some reorganizing is in order. Blaze Pizza is a very fine establishment, one that I plan on visiting for as long as I live near one. All other times, I'd have rated it 5 stars, but I'll list the pros and cons of my experience today that led to the 3-star review. Pros: + So. many. options. I love that you can build your own, choose one of their fantastic pre-selected menu options, and they even have dessert. Great. + As an extension to the above point, they even have keto options. I got my pizza to be made from the keto dough. Great. Didn't taste too bad, either! + Efficient ordering systems - so many options. You can order on the app, website, or on the phone. Cons: - I tried paying for my order with a gift card using mobile web. The gift card balance was less than the total order amount, so the website ordering system asked me to input a credit card to pay for the difference. So I did. When I tried to check out my order, it gave me a generic error message. So I tried desktop web. Also the same error message. That's fine - I called the phone ordering system. Spent another 15 minutes trying to order. We got to the end, and she told me that I'd have to go into the restaurant to actually order, which I did. At the end of the night, I did end up with 2 great tasting pizzas, but not until after wasting 30 minutes that I could've saved if the online ordering option was working correctly. - My only other complaint is that the keto pizza came out quite burnt and un-appetizing in terms of appearance. Wow, I truly love everything about pizza! Recently I changed my lifestyle and diet becoming vegan, so pizza in that world isn't the pizza I am used to stuffing my face with. This was my first time at Blaze. I've passed by countless times, never intrigued to try it out. I was over whole build-your-own pizza phase. You try one, you try them all. I didn't mean to generalize and boy was I wrong. Their gluten free dough is perfect and you can actually taste it, unlike the gluten free cardboard they serve at other places. This is the coolest concept since paper towels. Ok, well maybe that's a little of an over exaggeration. Just the same, it's quick and fun option to a sit down and order your pizza and wait for 30 minutes until it's ready. These are single serving custom made pizzas, to include gluten free dough. Be advised the gluten free takes a tad bit longer to make. We ordered the Mediterranean and enjoyed the fresh ingredients and the ability to add items at no additional cost. It's super easy to sub out items for others. I liked the choice of flavored iced teas (no sugar added) and the ease of ordering. Since I prefer light flavor I asked only slightly red sauce at the bottom and it worked out great. Even none vegetarian will appreciate and fall in love with such a great pizza!!!! Jennifer's pizza came with lot of arugula which i am allergic to but it was good so I took a bite of her creation...(yeah few leaves won't kill me, a whole bowl of salad made of arugula will!!!) but her pizza was slightly spicy and salty for my liking because the pepperoni and spicy sauce . Hands down the best BYO pizza place in all the land. They have the best variety in terms of toppings. Can you name another BYO pizza joint that has ovalini cheese (fresh mozzarella)? When you walk in, you pick your crust. Regular or gluten-free? If you have serious gluten allergies, they will happily change their gloves when handling your pizza. However, please keep this in mind -- they don't use a separate oven or press for their gluten-free dough. They have tons of sauces. White cream, spicy red, pesto, etc. Their veggie and meat toppings are all deliciously fresh and easily the best quality of toppings out there when comparing to other BYO pizza places. I always have a usual when I go to pizza places (in this case, Blaze) -- Regular crust, spicy red sauce, ovalini cheese, spinach, mushrooms, red onions, crumbled meatballs, italian sausage, and sprinkled with chopped garlic. Blaze has some of the freshest garlic I've ever had. MOD Pizza has chopped garlic but for some reason I can never taste it whenever I get it there. Blaze's chopped garlic is outstanding and the garlic always takes over, which is exactly how I like it. BLOOD. ORANGE. LEMONADE. Absolutely, without a doubt, one of the best lemonades I've ever had. We stumbled upon this place while looking for pizza in Pasadena. The concept reminds me of 800 degrees (or Subway or Chipotle) where it's assembly line style -- you tell them the toppings you want as you go down the line. Although they use a machine to press the dough flat vs. hand tossing, I enjoyed the crust more than at 800 degrees. It's crisp with a slight chew and more flavor. I have to say the service is a bit lacking. I ordered a signature pizza (the Art Lover, with artichokes, fresh mozz, ricotta, chopper garlic and red sauce) and planned to add another topping, but they didn't ask before plopping my pie in the oven. Apparently, once it's in the oven no further changes can be made and the girl wasn't apologetic at all. Then there was the guy in front of me who got into an argument with the staff because they wouldn't put olive oil on the pizza before they put it in the oven. He was firmly told olive oil is a "post-bake condiment only". Eventually after much back and forth, they agreed to do it "this time only". Sheesh. I've been wanting to go to Pieology for quite awhile, but haven't had the chance. I was in the neighborhood and saw Blaze ... seeing as how it's almost similar to Pieology, I decided to give it a try. Workers are quite friendly and nice, and since it was my first time there, one of them walked me through the ordering process. Basically it's the Subway/Chipotle of pizzas. You can build your own custom pizza ($7.45 ish), have a 1 topping pizza (sauce, cheese and one topping) or have a simple pie )mozzarella, parmesan and red sauce). There's also signature pizzas for the same price as the build your own, or salads/side salad. As well as drinks and dessert (s'more pies for $2 each). I decided to build my own since I wanted my pizza to be overflowing with toppings. I had red sauce, mozzarella and gorgonzola cheese, banana peppers, cherry tomatoes, olives, green bell peppers, mushrooms, oregano, applewood bacon, grilled chicken and pepperoni. Yeah, lots of stuff!! I would have added even more, but the dude behind me was really impatient (as he had only ordered a few toppings and was waiting for me to finish ... really annoying). You pay and they put your thin crust pizza into the oven and you wait til your name is called before picking it up. While the concept and everything is quite nice, I didn't find my pizza really great. When they say it's "fast fired" it really is fast fired. The toppings on the top looked barely cooked and the mushrooms were still quite raw. Also, I couldn't taste any of the meat that I put onto my pizza! The crust was really thin - too thin for my liking. Didn't really feel like eating a pizza. I ended up scraping the toppings off before eating the crust by itself, and the crust was really chewy where the ingredients were and hard on the top. And I decided to throw some cheese and pepper from their shakers onto the pizza. Too bad it wasn't parmesan cheese ... but goat cheese. Ugh, I hate goat cheese. They should have a warning or a label. Made my pizza taste even more horrible. I wish I had read about the drinks earlier because I only got a cup of water. I heard the lemonades are pretty darn good. The booths and tables are quite comfortable, but I don't like the sound quality of the restaurant. Not sure if because of the way it's designed or because the table close by was just loud, but all I could hear was the chatter coming from the table. I'm sure that we can all recall being kids excited by the offer to "pick toppings" on a pizza ordered by adults. The rush and feel of control was unbeatable. Now as adults with the "create-your-own"-style of pizza establishments having taken over Los Angeles; we live out our dreams by picking an ENTIRE pizza! How does Blaze compare to their pizza competitors? Esthetically, Blaze doesn't stand out in the create-your-own pizza concept environment. They all look the same: high ceilings, rustic wood and exposed beams, garage-door style windows, cement floors, etc. This is supplemented with a cafeteria/Subway/Chipotle-esque line where you concoct your wacky pizza with the aid of employees. Pricing is similar: $7.45 for a create-your-own pizza. Nothing new, right? You know the deal. Unfortunately that is where the similarities end as the negative aspects of Blaze kick in. These include poor customer service, a dirty work area, and quality of the pizza. To begin, the customer service from these high school lads working the counter is downright ridiculous. The first employee who takes care of the crust had to be told THREE times that my boyfriend and I wanted one pizza for dining-in and one to-go. What is so hard about that? He responded saying he has "Short-term memory". Um... okay. The next kiddos also couldn't get our request down and acted like it was the world's most difficult mathematics problem and then compounded it by picking pizzas out of order from those future owners standing in line causing even more confusion. Finally this was taken care of and we began to pick toppings. Although the selection is large: regular sauce, spicy sauce, BBQ, white, Gorgonzola cheese, goat cheese, mozzarella, pepperoni, bacon, ham, spicy sausage, meatball, tomatoes, roasted garlic, roasted red pepper, artichokes, mushrooms, basil, spinach, and the list goes on... The work area was a mess with food dribbled everywhere, toppings looking discolored and less than fresh, and a lack of employees knowing which toppings are which. I've been to other pizza concept restaurants where they performed better on their opening night than this! After that debacle, we waited for our food and one of the only highlights graced our lips: the Blood Orange Lemonade, which is a must-try. It is absolutely delicious. The pizzas were announced (it didn't take too long) and one was in a to-go box (success!). Both pizzas looked okay but like they haven't been baked long enough. My boyfriend and I both agreed that the crust was more flavorful and tasted better than some other pizza places but the pizza itself was bland. Somehow the toppings lent no flavors and nothing stood out. It wasn't terrible but just wasn't anything to note either. The one we took home? I recommend eating it there as it became to soggy because of the thin crust but the flavors did seep in a bit more upon sitting. Overall, Blaze doesn't hold much of a pizza flame to the other competitors (Pizza Rev is much better!) but I suppose it will fulfill sudden pizza cravings if in the neighborhood. The customer service is terrible (I know they are teenagers working there, but come on!) and the pizza isn't that great. Skip Blaze and opt for better...Even if you are excited about picking all the toppings you could desire. read more

This place rocks! I really like this place. Even though it's thin crusted pizza, I'm okay with it because the pizza here is made quick after you order. As you walk in, you are greeted by quite a few employees! Yes, they are all young high school and college students. You look at their menu on the wall and order on the spot. The employees are the pizza prep people. They will prepare your pizza on the spot on whatever you order. You could also go for a customized ingredient pizza. We ordered the Meat Eater Pizza and a White Top Pizza. Both pizzas are thin crusted and is 11" wide. It cost about $8.00 each which I thought was a bargain! It takes about 10-15 minutes to make depending how busy they are, and I think the real reason it's so fast is because of the thin crust. The Meat Eater consist of pepperoni, meatballs, red onions, and topped with mozzarella red sauce. It was delicious! I was able to taste every ingredient that was in it. The flavor is there, and I would definitely order this again. The White Top is topped with white cream sauce mozzarella, bacon, garlic, oregano, and arugula. Yes, it sounds a bit more healthy... I hope. The arugula is put on top after the pizza is cooked. It actually makes is more tasty. I thought it was a little bit too salty, but I loved it. Another thing I liked about this place is their bottomless beverages with is self served. They have this one bloody orange lemonade which is to die for. Oh boy, it was good. It actually tastes a lot better than In N Out pink lemonade. This blood orange lemonade had a good twist in in which made it both sweet and tangy. Well my top pick lemonade is still at Hot Dogs on a Stick. Anyhow, I don't know how much of that lemonade I drank... but I think I got drunk from it after drinking a large portion of its container. When the moon hits your eye Like a big pizza pie, that's amore! Just recently I read a yelp review by our very own Shelley Z. She compared her emotions from eating at this place like how a fat kid would feel if he/she was in a AYCE candy shop. I wanted to feel that feeling and decided to come here with a friend. If all things fail, you can always park your car at the target parking lot across the street and walk across. Note: There's not much lights on El Molina at night, so I would suggest to park on Colorada blvd or in the lots close by. Service: Loved the service. Reminds me of pieology's customer service. The assembly workers put so much T.L.C in making your pizza. They will ask you over and over again if you want anything else. Don't be hesistant when they ask you "If you want anything else"... just answer "Yes please, I want more of this and that!" Note:... round of questioning and answering can go on forever! I like the concept. $7.45 (or less), and have someone build a custom topping pizza for you as you point and grunt. Like if you're at Subway, order at the counter going down the line. When you say "That's it", pay at the cashier...and when your order is ready...they call your name to pick it up. It's quick -- done in less than 10 minutes. They have the standard type of toppings, and gourmet ones, too, and guess what? You can have any toppings you like for that flat price. The crust is ultra thin, and essentially and unfortunately, tasteless. Slightly thicker than matzoh underneath, it stays together pretty well, and served quite crispy making it easy to pick up and chow down piece by piece while you hold onto its crust. Personally, I prefer it more buttery and salty. The price point is good for a medium-size pizza, it's fast, it's nice in decor, and they're open late. Service is nice but a little too serious. All three of our pizzas came out slightly burnt at the edges, and the pizza did not seem as "crispy on outside, soft with a slight chew on the inside" as we were accustomed to. Also, my gluten free dough was pretty disgusting. I could definitely tell it was weird before I even bit into it...seriously, don't get this option unless you absolutely have to (like me). Oh, and don't get the "crushed garlic" unless you want giant cloves of garlic on your pizza...mine were definitely NOT crushed. On the brighter side, the sausage smelled amaaaaaaaazing and the ingredients are indeed very fresh. I loved that they offered vegan cheese (totally beats not ordering cheese at other joints) and they had plenty of veggie options. Honestly, I still consider Pieology better and you get more bang for the buck ...especially because I love their crust and it even comes out faster than Blaze. BUT, if the pizza mood strikes and you're not near a Pieology...and you're willing to wait through the lines....then come to Blaze. This is my favorite pizza joint! The pizzas are freshly made in front of you and technically, you can build your own pizza even if you get their custom-designed pizzas. You can order the Art Lover, for example, but then take away ingredients and add other meats, cheeses, and sauces, etc. So far we've tried the Art Lover, White Top and Green Stripe. We definitely love the art lover since it includes artichoke, olives and red sauce dollops. Green Stripe is our next favorite since it has pesto, red peppers and arugula. A few downsides to this place is that the servers are "too efficient", as my bf says. They pass the pizzas along down their assembly line so fast that they are asking you what meats you want from afar, and you're still at the start of the assembly line. It can get confusing which staff member is handling your pizzas, and the ingredients aren't always organized according to meats, veggies and cheeses. I feel bad when I ask for ricotta and the staff has to reach back over another staff to get the cheese. But the pizzas get fired up fast and are cooked in under 10 minutes so the wait isn't long. 3.5 stars, this review is for the gluten free build your own pizza. So since I built my own, maybe it is a bit different from how they would have made a gluten free pizza. In any case, I didn't add too many ingredients. I chose the Gluten-Free Crust with red sauce, 1/2 was shredded mozzarella, bacon, spinach, artichokes, red peppers, whole roasted garlic, tomatoes, mushrooms. and the other side was ovalini mozzarella, basil, tomatoes, artichoke, red peppers, mushroom, whole roasted garlic. When the pizza came out, all my friends' regular pizzas were able to hold its own - they were all sturdy enough to eat with bare hands. My gluten-free pizza came out really spongy, almost crepe like, and the toppings were all sliding off and I had a super hard time holding it up with my hands to eat. I had to end up using my fork to cut the slices into smaller sizes. I wondered if it was my choice of juicy toppings like artichoke and tomatoes and red peppers that made it soggy. Cathy A. ordered 2 smores cookies so we got one too and ate it later. So good! def a cookie even though it looks like it could be soft and doughy, it's crunchy like a graham cracker. Has all the flavors that will bring back memories. In any case, it tasted fine and I liked the regular crust. Yumm! I'm pretty picky when it comes to my fav food in the world. PIZZA!!! but I also love it so much that it's a pretty hard task to ef it up bad. With the being said I was happy to finally try Blaze this weekend. I've past by a bunch of times and understood the concept but had only ever been to a couple other assembly line style pick your toppings pizza joints. Blaze stacked up about the same to the other two similar style (800 degrees and whatever the heck the other place was) places. I was of course overwhelmed at first with the flurry of options but quickly figured I'd give them a run for their money with doing a 1/2 and 1/2 BYO. I opted for their signature White Top on one half (they forgot the arugula, not cool) and I built my own red sauce, mozzarella, sausage, pepperoni, garlic and artichoke on the other 1/2. The flavors were delish! and I really like that you can mix/match sauces on one pizza. I'll certainly return to try out some other options and will definitely consider incorporating Blaze into my lunch/dinner options when in the area. I of course still love Settebello a few doors down, but for a quick, casual, build your own pie place - Blaze works! I could have done without the fellas attitude that was building my pie - some chicken flew onto it. I asked him to kindly pick it off (since I hadn't requested this topping) and line up my red and white sauce a bit more evenly 1/2 and 1/2 and he seemed to have a real problem with this. If they can work on their customers attitudes, professionalism and prepping of the pizzas as requested (White Top comes with Arugula atop) then I think the overall experience will be even better. read more

Blaze is the first to do customizable pizza in Pasadena and I welcome them. Like most of these shops, you can either select from a variety of specialty pizzas, with toppings per-designated, or create your own. Whatever you pick, they make create your pie from an assembly line of ingredients and fast cook the sucker in an oven. Less than 5 min later, your meal is ready. All pies are only $6.85 - which is really affordable for the quantity of pizza you get. Two people could easily share 1 pie. My suggestion is to lift the 3 meat & cheese cap because I don't think they'd lose out on much money. Very few people get that many meats and cheeses, seriously. I opted for the create your own, with sausage crumbles, tomato sauce, mozzerella, red onions, green bell peppers, and olives. I like tomato sauce a lot so I went with a generous 1.5 ladles, which proved to be a mistake. The excess liquid sogged up some of my pizza, which was a bit more drippy than it needed to be. The sausage is non-descript, not as fennel flavored as I'd like. The red onions are thickly sliced, which makes it harder to cook fully during the short cook-time. Even so, the pie was great. I've also tried some of their pre-built pies, both of which I liked. The White Top is a really tasty version of a white pizza, with mozzerella and little balls of ricotta dotting the top, cubes of bacon, garlic, and topped with a handful of arugula. It's a classic combination of creamy cheese and pungent garlic, with the sharpness and freshness of the arugula. The Meat Eaters is a simple, guy-friendly pie with both pepperoni and sausage and red onions. Thin crust, solid flavors, quick cook time. I also had one of their blood orange lemonades. The price was great at less than $2 for a refillable cup. It wasn't really blood orangy, which I expect to be both citrusy and slightly bitter. We got several of their pre-made pizzas and added some additional veggies to them. I wasn't amazed by their topping selection (a little less veggie options than Pie-ology), but it seemed pretty decent. After finishing our pizzas, we realized they never asked us for our sauce base for the pizza! All 3 of ours turned out not so good, and when we asked them about it, they said it was up to us to have said it in the beginning (kind of tough when it's you're first time here!). Blaze is my go to when I want pizza with all the toppings. For cheese, I always go with the mozzarella and ovalini. The ovalini makes the pizza extra cheesy! They break the ball into smaller pieces so it gets baked into these pockets of oozy goodness. I love topping it off with fresh arugula - a little bitter and peppery. Customer service at this location is top notch! A staff member accidentally dropped my pizza while taking it out from the oven. They quickly informed me about the situation, apologized for the mistake and remade it for me within minutes. In addition, the manager gave me 2 free pizza vouchers for my next visit. Staff also came by our table to check if everything was okay. Maybe this place was cursed that night... While eating, I saw a customer drop her pizza from the tray while walking to the tables outside. A staff member quickly approached her and offered to make her a new one on the house. Moral of the story: Don't cry over [pizza accidents]. The Blaze staff at this location definitely knows how to take care of their customers. read more

My brother took me here for lunch and I definitely enjoyed the concept. I went for the White Top pizza and it was quite good. The crust was thin and crispy, while the toppings were generally spot-on. I liked the combination of arugula, bacon, and cream sauce. The pizza might have been a bit too salty, but it was still very good. The portion of the pizza is reasonably sized and not miserly. Lastly, at around $7, the price is reasonably for what you get. The blood orange lemonade had a good balance of tart and sweet. Having complimentary refills gives it bonus points as well. Having signature pizza selections, but being able to add/subtract from it really aids in excellent menu choices. I liked the autonomy of working from a signature pizza or starting from scratch. Service was very friendly and patient, as the employees explained the restaurant concept. This would be an excellent place to take kids or for a quick, simple, yet satisfying meal. read more
