I had mine custom made on opening night after waiting in line for over an hour in freezing weather. Suffice it to say, it was more than well worth the wait! The pizza was so scrumptious - cauliflower thin crust just the way I love it, spicy red sauce that just hit the spot, grilled chicken and all my favorite toppings, with a drizzle of BBQ sauce on the top. Excellent pizza, great location, well appointed establishment, youthful vibe. But here's what really impressed me. It was super busy, yet the service was so cheerful and friendly. I ate here during the worst part of the pandemic. I was pleased with the precautions the restaurant was taking and we dined outside. We were served by Ofelino and were exceptionally pleased by the service he provided. He was so friendly and welcoming. He made our pizzas with great attention to what we ordered and making sure everything was done right. I was with my sister and brother-in-law and we all enjoyed the uniqueness of the pizzas offered and the quality of the ingredients and preparation. They offer curb-side pick-up & they are maintaining with CDC guidelines with face mask/gloves. The shop has a new change of staff that is soo much faster than the summer staff and they are providing better customer service. Everything seems to be in disarray, the online pick up is not clear and there is no one there to help. I watched as countless people look for things be confused and struggle to get help. It took an hour for them to have it ready and I watched as everyone else got theirs and left. I also was told most of my order was done and they were waiting to get the other pizza. So one pizza got cold while waiting . I only ordered a cheese and a pepperoni-pizza. It's not complicated to get 2 1 topping pizzas in at the same time. The last time I ordered they straight up lost our order and it took an hour and a half to get it. We ordered a lot a few months ago and this was a good place now it's all a mess. The taste isn't that great any more either. Going back to Gay Nineties pizza or mod pizza from now on. read more

My review isn't for food but service. I called in today to ask a question and talked to two different people. First person couldn't understand what I was asking and only asked do they stop taking door dash orders at a certain time. She proceeded to guess my name so I asked if there was another person I could speak to. She said yes and then hung up the phone on me. I called back and got a new person and asked the same question and she asked me if I wanted to start a new order. I then asked do they have anyone that speaks English and she said no. I always try to swing by this little known secret pizza spot when I'm in a hurry for extra tasty "ZA". A recent trip was a true bonus as there was some irate "Karen/Kevin" COVID sheep in front of me who was verbally berating an older employee because his mask had slipped down to the tip of his nose...?? Oh well, as this "person" stormed out after dousing himself in hand sanitizer & ran back into his little bubble, I scooped us his order, got an extra pizza for later & insured the staff & management that I was THOROUGHLY comfortable and looking forward to my next visit! Called to order and the employee at the location took my order and asked for payment info. She then asked me wait to confirm and hung up on me. It was 15 minutes before closing and I would definitely have understood if they simply said it was too late to order. But they didn't. Well tonight I went to blaze to try it out since it is new to Pleasanton and we love pizza. Pros The blood orange lemonade and pomegranate lime drinks are great. I enjoyed the green strip it was good but had a little too much arugula for my personal taste. Cons After about 30 minutes, I went to the counter to discover my girlfriend's pizza was just sitting there. And a different pizza had the number that was supposed to be on it. Mine however, was no where to be found and had to be remade at that point. Another gentleman found his pizza to be incorrect after mine went missing and had it remade and cooked before I got mine. I finally got it well over an hour after our order was placed. It looked as if gentleman who was working the oven let pizzas burn or get cold and it seem like he was asking for help when he got a lot of pizzas. Additionally, the young lady and gentleman who were making the pizzas seemed like they were all over the place. About my experience at Blaze earlier this week. Firstly - It seems all other than one at the front were under training, and apparently not fully trained. They would not change gloves between pizzas. I am sensitive because I am vegetarian and would not want them to use the same gloves with which they have handled meat products. The only lady who was experienced, had to constantly come and correct their mistakes and talk to them about how to do the pizzas correctly. Secondly - One of the lady with black Disney T-shirt was not wearing hat, she had long lose hairs hanging on the front, seems disinterested Thirdly - the people at the end are not aware of the 'Green' cutter wheel. Although they have it, they don't know when to use it. Overall, a poor first time experience. Owners/Managers - please use this as a constructive feedback. For now I am back to Pieology until Blaze improves itself with proper staff. read more

Great showing for their first day! Staff was super friendly and accommodating, food was fresh and on-point and everything stayed clean and well-kept. My wife and I brought our 3 boys around 3:30pm and at that time the line was about an hour long. Well worth the wait for the grand opening! Congratulations on a great grand opening! First time here. Pizza came out very hot! Pizza tasted very good. Pepperoni was a little bit oily. Tasted better once it cooled down. Next time I will ask them to cook it for a minute or two. Worst experience ever. I've been to Blaze in San Francisco before so I am familiar with their level of service and food. I placed a large order for my husband's birthday lunch. I initially tried online but special requests were not getting saved so I called the call center the day before I needed the order. The first lady I spoke to told me that they cannot place orders for a future date so she transferred me to the actual store. I think it was the manager that picked up. When I told her I had a large order she told me she can't help me because they are busy. She can't write down all my orders and told me to come in tomorrow and order it in person. I told her that defeats the purpose of convenience and covid safety and precaution but she said she can't help me and tomorrow morning won't be busy so I will not have any issues ordering in person. Luckily, I called the call center again and the lady I spoke to said they do place future order. She helped me and it was so smooth. I was so thankful for her! Fast forward to curbside pick up day. I requested a 11:15 am pick up but got there a few minutes early. I called the number I was supposed to call when I arrived and they said they needed a few minutes. 10 minutes passed and when I called again they said they still need more time and they are almost done. My husband eventually went inside to check again. We didn't get our order until 11:35 and we were late to the birthday party. I am very disappointed at how much people were not willing to help because of a large "complex" order. On top of all this, the crust was soggy and the pizza was nothing to rave about. read more

Drove all the way from Oakland to this location because the one in Concord closed down. Once I got home and started eating my pizza there were 2 strands of hair in it. I called the restaurant to speak with a manager but she wasn't available. When I told the employee over the phone that I didn't have a receipt he told me the manager would probably ask me to send a picture and "good luck." It was painfully obvious that this is not a company owned Blaze. It had the Blaze Pizza branding but it felt more like a Mom and Pop. The guy working the oven who is assume was the owner was undercooking the Pizzas. The lady in front of me mentioned it to him and then mine came out the same. The guy said you have to order it crispy if you want it more well done but these pizzas were flat out undercooked and gross. No ambiance or feel like you'd expect at a blaze pizza. I am very happy I stumbled upon this great pizza place! You order your pizza fresh at the counter and watch them assemble it right in front of your eyes. They put it in a super hot pizza over and it is ready in minutes. Lots of crust, sauce and topping choices. The employees are friendly and even when they are busy they keep the line moving and the pizzas coming out fast. I also downloaded the App so I can order and have it ready for pick up. Price is amazing staring at about $6 for a 11 inch cheese pizza which is a great value! You can order a large in the App too. I recommended to my friends and family and they have all had positive experiences too! I placed an order online on a Saturday night for 2 large pizzas and some dough knots. I made a mistake on my online order, so I went immediately to the restaurant. Within 5 minutes of arriving, Rebecca had already started making my pizzas. I explained to her the mistake in the online order, and she immediately corrected the order for me. She was so nice and understanding. It was our first time ordering from this particular location, and all I can say is that this is a great place for getting some tasty pizza. I ordered my food a little more than an hour before closing. Just a medium spicy red, mozz, pepperoni pizza. Waited 15-20 minutes. I go inside and its freezing... As I was asked for my name one of the employees told me to wait. I waited around another 10-15 min and I noticed they had my pizza off to the side the entire time. I was handed the pizza and it felt COLD.... Like I shook hands with a ghost... I go to my car and I told my girlfriend I 100% know this pizza is cold... and it was. I didn't bother going back because I noticed everyone there are highschool students. Letting anyone who reads this I never wrote a yelp review till after this experience.
