alejandra the "general manager" literally the rudest worst customer service i have ever encountered. i have never been made to feel so small and have someone be so condescending to me. i went to blaze which other locations are great. this location sometimes is a little off but last time they were great so went back again for the 2nd time in 1 week because i realized i had a $5 off coupon from signing up for rewards and figured id splurge and get the gluten free dough since i had the coupon. went in ordered my pizza from a lady that kinda seemed over it but overall was nice then she put my pizza in the oven and just disappeared and the "manager" alejandra took over to ring me up.... alejandra put in my order and the total appeared on the register i scanned my coupon that went through and then she said she had to cancel the order & do it again. so she did.... but the 2nd time the computer wouldn't read the coupon anymore & she asked me if i was using a screen shot of a coupon.... i showed her my phone & that it was the safari app blaze.com logged into my account. she said there was nothing she could do & if i want my pizza i had to pay full price. i showed her the coupon on the phone and the very clear expiration date 8/22/23 and that when you open the coupon to use it in store that it said it expired today 7/29/23 at midnight. she started being rude to me and told me i if i have a problem i should contact corporate and see if they will do anything because she was the general manager there and she wasn't going to. literally so mean and so rude im shocked. i very very rarely complain but this was like wow! next level rude. she ended up throwing the pizza away, so a total waste of food as well. someone else said "the service is abysmal" at the south pasadena blaze pizza i think that that was being kind. thanks general manager alejandra super cool vibes! read more

I typically wouldn't write a review for fast-casual chains like Blaze because you can order as you please here. However, I dined in here yesterday and I'm hoping management or employees will see this & improve because I really love Blaze Pizza. Pizzas tasted fine, flavors mirror all standard Blaze Pizzas, but they are seriously understaffed here. The restaurant wasn't even that busy, but they did not have enough workers to run the order line & registers. It literally took us 20-30+ minutes just to order and pay. At the speed everything took, we probably could have gone to the one on Main Street and have finished with extra time to spare. Really takes away from being "fast"-fired pizza. Seeing the standard held at other locations, hoping to see improvement on timing here at the So.Pas location. read more

To the management at this particular Blaze I would like to say thank you. I have come here a few times and am usually met with attitude because I am very particular with the way my pizza is made and the ingredient order. But today was different.. not only did the women who added the ingredients display professionalism, they did not have the usual attitude when asked to add ingredients in the order I wanted. H O R R I B L E! Wow came here on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm. Literally no line, but the workers took their sweet time to start assembling our pizza. Almost ALL the tables and floors are messy and dirty. I understand it was after a lunch rush hour, but dang. I don't see any managers here or any order. Seems like the employees are goofing off and slacking because it's slow and there is no management. If you want to go to a Blaze pizza, just go to the one on Main St. Or in Old Town Pasadena. I will never come back to this location. I recently came with my husband one evening and to get pizza to go. My husband went inside while I waited in the car when I saw several people 3-4 behind blaze rummaging through the dumpster in the alley. I thought they were homeless people but they were blaze employees!! I saw them walking back into the store together and immediately started helping at the front. I went inside to tell my husband because I did not see them wash their hands! They only put on gloves but that is not enough that's disgusting. I overheard one of the employees say she found her keys at the counter. I spoke to the supervisor on duty and he was no help but he admitted he was one of the ones in the dumpster helping to find keys. This is very unsanitary and disgusting!!! read more

I've been wanting to try Blaze for a minute then when I heard Lebron having ownership in the company - really wanted to check it out! While I'm waiting in my daughter to complete her Bar Exam I passed a Blaze and made a U-turn!!!! So glad I did!!! I came at the right time because 5 mins later there was a line almost out the door. So that says a lot right there! The customer service is great and quick! I loved how everything is prepared as you walk down the aisle of their fresh ingredients! My pizza was done less than 10 mins! Piping hot and stringy gooey cheese - yummy!!!! I ate the whole dang in pizza - yep sure did! I'll get back in my eating plan tomorrow! The Assistant Manager, Steven, walked around the restaurant to see if customers were happy or needed anything. I told him I enjoyed the pizza and the good customer service! He thanked me for coming in and trying Blaze for the first time! The restaurants huge with lots of windows and great seating! I have been eagerly anticipating the opening because I heard about Blaze Pizza coming to South Pasadena, then I watched the signage go up and now it's open! Same great pizza, just quite a bit closer to home. This place is going to be hopping. Our first visit was on their 3rd day (I heard they opened on a Thursday, which was smart) and by Saturday at 5pm it was already busy. But everything is organized, they have a ton of people making pizza and the seating area is probably 3 times bigger than the Alhambra location. Fountain drinks are around the corner from the register and slightly hidden. Utensils, napkins and boxes are easy to find and self-service. Parking is a little tight, tho. Eating at a restaurant is way different picking out a movie (this location was a former Blockbuster video) so be prepared to look for some parking when you get here. First time going here we showed up for breakfast, and they weren't even ready. Everyone was on there phones, people were talking and just chillin but hey. It was a nice Sunday morning, I get it. Finally ordered and our pizzas came out burned. No one had cleaned the pizza oven so we had to watch this girl scrape and clean while we waited. They gave us free drinks so one star for that. Second time we came here they were backed the hell up. People were ordering and everyone was waiting for pizzas but the employees were just so overwhelmed they didn't know who's pizza was who's. Really frustrating and painful to watch. Here I thought 3rd time's the charm! :D SIKE! Here we go again. Same problem with the burned pizzas, no communication, employees are yelling at each other for more numbers, ingredients, online orders that no ones doing, etc. I get that this is a newer location with a new staff but I've been to a lot of blazes that have been slammed and this has to be the worst and slowest one. This is a quick fast food to build your own pizza. I love thin crust pizza so this is perfect for me. I like that I can choose as many toppings. They actually provide large now so it is great for family sharing too. The only thing is the cost of the pizza, which is about $10 per person. The young lady that helped took the time to explain the menu and she suggested the salad and pizza combo which was perfect because that's what I was looking for . This place is my go to when I'm craving pizza for lunch and because it's the closest to my job. For $10 get a decent size personal pizza that you can actually share if you're not super hungry. It's like a subway but for pizzas. You get in line choose your dough, sauce and your toppings. They also have salads, garlic knots, sodas in bottles. The only reasons why I only gave three stars: 1) Their pizzas never cooked consistently, one day I'll get a burnt crust and another time I get it, it'll be perfect. 2) They tend to screw up orders when you order online. read more

Son and I were so hungry after stopping at the grocery store, we were about to go to the Alhambra Blaze location when I remembered that they recently opened this one and it happened to be closer, so we go there and noticed some employees were nice and others didn't seem too happy to be there, they were a bit slow and unorganized but at that point it was still acceptable since the location is fairly new, how ever what's not acceptable is giving a customer a burned pizza. I am so upset because we were so hungry and is not like we were able to eat it, I called them up and the manager was not there which I wasn't surprised. First and last time we go to this location. Bummer!!!! I had to give it a few more tries and must say that they have definitely improved in their customer service, Pizzas are not burned anymore and they ended giving me a free one last time they burned my pizza! This wasn't our first time at Blaze, or this location for that matter. My boyfriend and I can't eat like this often, but when we do, Blaze is on our list of cheat meals. It's quick, affordable, fresh, and easy. My boyfriend ordered their version of a meat lovers pizza and I had a build your own pesto, no cheese, sausage, and bell pepper pizza. I didn't realize the sausage was a bit spicy, or I would've gone for the meatball instead. All in all, it was still delicious. The crust was perfectly chewy and crispy at the same time. Their staff was friendly and efficient the whole way through! The seating area looked clean and inviting, complete with a to go box station. We also love their variety of agua fresca, lemonade, and natural sodas. If you're watching your calories, they offer salads, vegan cheese, and gluten free crust. I hope to come back soon! read more

I mean compare this to Pasadena (busier) and they get it. They know how to move people through the line. This place....you could read an entire book by the time you get through it. Blaze makes great pizza! This place is new and so many of the employees are still learning so it may take a little longer, but this Blaze isn't as busy as say the one on Colorado. I like their thicker crust option, white sauce, chicken, mozzarella cheese, spinach, and chopped garlic. It's delicious! There is plenty of seating inside, a good place for groups. Parking isn't awesome but between the small lot and the street it shouldn't be too hard to find some. read more

Cold pizza delivered and I live less than a mile from the store. South Pasadena on Fair Oaks store. Before you rag on me, I'm injured & cannot drive or walk, but being so close, I thought this was a safe bet. One mile MAX from my door. Surely less and the pizza still arrived cold. I don't know if it was the DoorDash delivery person or that it sat on the counter for a long time, but it was cold. Once ***I*** heated it up, it was good, but I shouldn't have had to heat it up myself. Obviously, would've been much better if it had arrived hot, or at least very warm. Too bad I can't seem to leave a direct rating and comments on their store site as all of their instructions to do so lead me nowhere. I was there on Friday. It was a hot mess. I understand they were training. I had ordered 3 pizzas. The manager was Scolling the young girl who she was training. It was quite rude to the young girl. She embarrassed the the young girl. I waited patiently to build my pizzas. When I finally built my pizzas and paid for my pizzas . The young man gave me only two pizzas . Thank god I asked for a Receipt. I was missing a pizza. He tried to give me the wrong pizza. I told him that is not my pizza. He Started looking for my pizza. It was not in the oven. He opened the boxes on top oven. They gave my pizza away. They had me cut in line to rebuild my pizza. Keep in mind over 45 minutes already and my two hot pizzas are getting cold. I waited patiently over 15 minutes for that pizza. So I get up. I am like my pizza guy. My pizza was just sitting their. I am like dude my pizza. He starts to tell me they found my pizza. They boxed my pizza cold. I am so annoyed by now. I don't want old pizza because you gave it away someone returned it. I want the new pizza I build. Pi day and the place just opened. None of the workers were friendly. The lady that served me seemed like she didn't understand English. She doesn't know how to behave well when serving me. Trying to get attention from the server next to her to joke about my question in Spanish. I had to become cold with her and firmly pointed to her the toppings I wanted for her to finally behave.
