Too bad this location is the most convenient one to me, because it is the worst Blaze location I've been to. The line is always long and the assembly line to construct your pizza is very, undeniably slow. No one greets you and if they do, it takes more than five minutes. The pizza crust here is made subpar compared to the other Blazes around town and they do not brush off the burnt crust edges. I've had to repeat my order for toppings multiple times and watch the staff person put it on because it seems like they ignore your requests so that the line can be moved faster or skimp on meats/veggies. The process of checking out and firing up the pizza is also a difficult one, especially if you have their app coupon in form of a QR code as it tends to complicate things. The crust is super thin and the toppings are sliding off my pizza while the vegetables are barely cooked. I know this location can do much better because like I've said, other Blazes are superior. Blaze's really good franchise in general. The only thing I do NOT like is their vegan cheese. disgusting... When it's melted on the pizza... Ugggghhhhhhhh... it's just like... Just... Thank you Yelp event for introducing me to something that I would probably never had tried if it was not for the elite even a month ago. Neat cafeteria production line concept, you get in line, tell t hem which sauce out of a choice of three (traditional, spicy and white), then you go through the gauntlet choices of adding whichever choices of cheese that you want on top (about 6 choices) until you get down to the meats and vegetables which not short of pepperoni, canadian bacon (ham right?), sausage, chopped garlic, whole roasted garlic, black olvies, basil, spnich, jalapenos, sliced cherry tomatoes, red onions and the list goes on. After you pay you make your way to the soda fountain machine and in about 12 minutes your name is called, ding ding ding come and get it! They do have the usual dining room of course but it's always noisy but I'm going to tell you a secret that everybody and their brothers know about here, there is a little pond in the back with ducks and some huge square boulders lining the other side. I think Tracey S (call out!) told me it's called Grant's Lake....but my memory...well you know. It's nice out there and has about a dozen tables for you to choose to rest your romp. A setback that reeks here is sometimes there are "those companies" that like to take over the whole place and limit you to the dining room, oh well, first world problems right? Amazing. Despite the chaotic rush from the grand opening, I waited only 25-30 minutes before getting my free pizza. There were literally 20 staff members behind the line, helping you add your toppings and answering any questions you had. The line moved so fast I was able to build my own personal size pizza in less than a minute. Then it only took a couple minutes to cook after you finish creating it, but it was fully cooked, and ridiculously fresh and crispy. It's not so much that the pizza is amazing or anything that this place warrants a 4 star, but it's because of it's innovative approach to making fast and personalized pizza. The whole idea of Blaze Pizza is to do it Chipotle style where you go down the line and tell them what you want on your pizza, and they make it and then fire it up on their oven for you in approximately 2 minutes. This is great because you can pick and choose exactly what you want and really make it your own, especially for 1 flat rate. Food: So the pizza only comes in a thin crust (still waiting for that stuffed crust option!), but for a thin crust, it's not bad. You can choose between a red or white sauce, then you get to pick your meat, and then vegetables/other toppings. They have a great variety of toppings to choose from; everything from turkey sausage, to basil and pineapple chunks. Then you can choose if you want to add any spices like oregano on it. When they fire it up in the oven, you can see them place it in the fire brick oven and watch it being cooked. Price: The other reason I really like this place is because it's so cheap! it's around $7 for a pizza, which, if you're hungry is definitely enough if you pile it on. It's a flat rate to build your own pizza, so you can put on as many toppings as you want without any extra charge. If you like things simple and only want 1 topping, or no toppings, you can actually get a pizza for $5. But for the food you get at that price, it's awesome! Service: so they do cook the pizza pretty quickly, so you're not waiting too long for the pizza, but what does take some time is when they're assembling your pizza. They have to write your name down and then as you ask for the toppings, they have to hand place it on there, and some items, they have to rip it up to put it on there, so it does take some time. But outside of that, the workers there are pretty cordial and very nice. Atmosphere: They do have room for you to sit down and eat right then and there, but they also do have boxes for you to take your pizza home if you so choose. They have ample seating room and parking as well, so that's always a plus. You're not fighting everyone or starring awkwardly at someone until they leave so you can grab a seat. The pizzas come out super fast - their oven is extremely hot so it only takes a couple of minutes from when you order to when you can start chowing down. If you can't decide what you want on your pizza, you could always pick from one of their pizza menu items. One note to consider when deciding what to order - J got all the meats on his and it turned out a bit too salty. I guess because each meat on its own already is salty, so making an uber meat lovers pizza ends up being extra salty. It' pretty easy to please me when it comes to pizza pie. As long as it's not too greasy, salty, and droopy, I'm pretty much pleased. Blaze just made my taste buds and stomach extremely pleased! After visiting this location for a YEE event, I vowed to make a return visit soon....took me several months, but I finally had a chance to make my taste buds dance and my stomach fat full from devouring the whole fresh pizza pie. Yes the whole. damn. thing. And I didn't feel guilty at all. I guess I convinced myself that the fresh ingredients were reason enough to eat an entire pizza, but I will not give any excuses--I had one slice and fell in love! It's about my third time here, a couple of years after the the Yelp event. I keep forgetting that they don't have a simple hamburger/beef topping. The have a meatball topping and meatballs typically contain a combination of meats, that often include pork. I'm inquiring about that, now, because all that I want is hamburger/beef on my pizza. At the time I ordered, I was "hangry" and just wanted to eat, so I didn't think about it. Other than that, the restaurant was clean, the staff was nice, and the food was good. I'm already thinking of getting it again because it's just that good and high quality. It's basically Chipotle for pizza, an assembly line where you can choose one of their pre-created pizzas or build your own, where you can customize as many of the types of sauce, vegetables, meats, and toppings as you want. And it's all for a decent price (~$8 with tax) too, given the massive size of the personal pizza you get. I've always finished a meal here either extremely full or having leftovers. They ingredients have been fresh every time I've been here and the whole process from when you walk in the door to when you take a bite of pizza, is decently fast, although peak hours can cause a bit of a wait. The pizza itself was made well, but nothing special about it. I think it would have tasted better if the dough was a bit thicker, but that's my opinion. Overall, the pizza was okay.
