The food was delicious and yummy and the hot chocolate was great and wonderful. My Ruben was delicious and scrumptious. The service was professional and friendly staff and our server was great. The Ambiance was like going to your grandma or aunts house for dinner or lunch and the vibe is wonderful and warm.

Pepperoni shouldn't be white.. example of old and inedible.

Ordered in and everything was inedible. The pepperoni on the fries was old and tasted like actual garbage. The honey mustard that came with the chicken fingers like melted butter. Absolutely no flavor. The chicken soup had pieces of chicken that were old and moldy looking. I understand it was the end of the day and I was one of the last orders but please, don't serve food if the quality is going to be bad. Spent over $50 and barely touched anything.

This diner does food well. Their breakfast is very good, decent coffee. We stopped in to have a fast dinner last night. Our waiter was excellent. Wish I would have gotten his name. What a wonderful disposition. Not crowded or loud. Portion sizes were huge ! I should have shared with my daughter. Sundays are busy and a wait in the morning. Overall a good pick if in Larchmont.

What better way to kill time on a rainy Saturday than having breakfast at a diner? BLD most certainly has a following, as at 10:00a.m. there was a 20 min wait. Being smaller than most diners this was no surprise. No worries, less than 15 mins later we were seated. My obligatory Corned Beef was pulled rather than the customary commercial Hash. The title clearly said pulled, but I still wanted to try. Appreciative of the flavors, but not a fan of shredded/pulled type meats...looking at you Ropa Vieja! Anyway, my eggs were perfectly poached, and all else hit the spot. The Mediterranean Eggs served with toasted Ciabatta was a hit. Salad was dressed just so and made for a "I'll have this again" type meal. In place of Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice there was Tropicana. No thanks. A disappointment as Fresh Squeezed was what we hoped for. Not a deal breaker. The staff here are very hardworking and attentive. Tables were kept clean, orders placed promptly and everyone's coffee/tea mugs were always being filled. The pros outweigh the cons here so...see you in the future BLD! TIP: Open 24 Hours

First time at this diner, wont be last. Waitress was attentive, food was delicious. Shocked by the popcorn chicken on top of the waffle but wasn't disappointed after biting into one. Wifes potatos were crunchy and yummy!

I've had some not so great experiences since my last review. Management has always done their best to make it better but because of some back to back issues, I likely won't frequent them. We've ordered food for pick-up and eaten at their small tables out front, having had really good meals. One time we ordered some food and went to a park with a blanket to just enjoy the outdoors and had a great time with great food. I had been ordering their avo toast with salmon and egg for some time and a few times, I received less than quality preparation. One time they packaged completely burnt toasts and I hacld to call and complain because they were inedible. They made it right and I was able to get do overs but one of the toasts had a hair in the packaging, under the avo toast. I again called to complain and they made it right but eventually I just began making my own avo toasts because they're very easy to prepare. For the most part, their food is usually prepared well and tastes good but because of the inconsistencies I've experienced, I'm not in a rush to go back any time soon.

Friends of mine said this was their go-to diner, so I gave it a shot. Service was attentive, and the food was great. I had never had eggs benedict before (I have egg issues), let alone crab cake eggs benedict. Oh wee, delicious. Who knew hollandaise sauce could taste so good? The french onion soup did not disappoint either. Excellent portions. They have a parking lot and looked pretty busy. I typically fins diners to be underwhelming, but I would come again.

Came here during the pandemic and dined in when it was able to open up. Food is consistent and delicious. There's ample parking in the back and the wait times are reasonable. They take your number and you wait in your car about 10 minutes for them to call you in. Service is fast and all the servers are attentive and help one another. Our server had his hands full so another server from another section helped him out and took our orders. Great teamwork to help out customers! In the past we had takeout. Our usual orders were the: - black jack wrap - 3 scrambled eggs with black beans, scallions and jack cheese served with potatoes and chili - 3 eggs over easy w/ bacon The one time we dined in we had: - Philly cheese steak panini - with garlic spread, onions, peppers, mozzarella cheese and cajun spice - 2 eggs over easy and ham with potatoes - oatmeal (this was a generous portion - they they only serve it until a certain time - I think 2?) If I'm ever in the area, I'd go here. I recommend this place.

We had a fantastic time at BLD! We are diner lovers who decided to come in on a whim looking for food off I95, and found our new favorite diner in the NY/CT area! Easy to park. Loved the marble tables, big booths and classic diner feel without it being kitschy. Our server Antonio was so kind and made our time all the more enjoyable. The food!!! - perfect diner coffee refilled frequently to stay hot and didn't need any sprucing up to make it drinkable! 5/5 - cornmeal based pancakes were crispy, fluffy, flavorful, and a beautiful color! 5/5! - breakfast potatoes were banging! flavorful, crispy outside and tender inside! 5/5! - bacon cheddar omelette with jalapeño - excellent. next time we'll amp it up with some extra cheese and bacon! 4.7/5! - breakfast quesadilla wrap (without bacon) - perfect balance between cheese and egg, I'd ask for a little extra jalapeño + tomato if I got it again. 4.5/5! Me and my family absolutely love this diner ! We travel from the north shore of Long Island to eat here occasionally . Amazing breakfast ,that's our fave or brunch , never enjoyed a lunch or dinner here unfortunately . Always a pleasant experience,great service and delicious food , it's great now they also have outdoor seating which we took advantage of the last two times we were there since we had our little puppy with us too . If you have a sweet tooth and are on a "free day" Go for the stuffed French toast ! You won't regret it ,it's incredible.

I was craving my French Onion soup. And, well I got it here. The BLD Diner is one of my go-tos when I escape from Manhattan. The presentation is was excellent and so was the service. However, the taste was okay. It was still good. Though, not the best I've ever had.

Have driven by this place before but didn't stop in until today. Had breakfast and was quite pleased with the service. I was seated promptly and attended to quite well. I ordered the Italian Omelette with home fries and toast, it was delicious! I posted a pic, looks as good as it tasted. I'll be back some other time for sure! read more

Its was ok. We had eggs and homemade hash which was really good but breakfast was over 33.00. That seemed a bit high. The food was ok, but not at that cost. I did like th hash and the waiter was attentive but when we finished they wanted us out. I will note you cannot use the ladies toilets if youare over 4 feet. I could not even get in the door and or sit straight. You might want to remodle the ladies room. As I said the food was ok, just the prices were high for a diner read more

Never, never, never ordered something that wasn't good. I order to my office often and always find that they are quick to prepare, excellent in food quality and portion size and very impressed with the everything. Have only had take out or delivery so I can not speak to the wait staff but the food quality is top notch and I would strongly recommend. read more

Food was good (except below) and came fast. The options are expensive though. For instance bacon alone was $5 and toast was $3. But I could order two eggs and a side of bacon and toast for $7.... But I don't eat eggs. My plate had a big green clump of gunk on it and toast had a small fly on it. Service is pretty quick though on a busy morning. Staff very friendly. read more

Now that's what I'm talkin' bout!!! This is one of the better diner experiences that I've had in awhile. Stopped in on a Sunday eve around 7 pm. No crowds... yay!! The service was excellent! The food was really really good! The coffee was awesome! Even the prices weren't bad for the most part. My one very minor complaint is the price difference between the chicken souvlaki sandwich versus the chicken souvlaki platter. The sandwich was $9.50 & the platter $16.00. I got the platter which consisted of a greek salad. The salad came on the plate with the chicken skewers & pita bread. I felt it wasn't THAT big of a salad that the price should've jumped up by $6.50. That's really about all though. Food quality was great for a diner! Nice atmosphere too. I'm definitely going back again! Gonna try some breakfast next time :-) read more

Ok this is certainly one of the best diners I've ever eaten in. Which is saying a lot for this part of NY... Firstly the staff is over the top friendly and fast. The prices are standard but compared to eating in NYC the prices are a total bargain.. Because the food is outstanding! Had the Mediterranean Eggs and I will say it is among the greatest meals I've ever eaten. Poached eggs were perfection! Arugula was fresh and clean! And the feta cheese was top of the line! Go here, you won't regret it! read more

I've been to this diner a few times but for some reason I never left a review. After today I must!! My daughter and I came here this afternoon for breakfast. She had their buttermilk pancakes and I had Nutella banana french toast and we share a side order of home fries. I have to say EVERYTHING was delicious and very much enjoyable. We were going down the block to iHop but so happy we came here because the food is so much better here and a whole lot less expensive. If you are looking for a great place for breakfast this is the place. I cannot comment on any other food they serve because I've only had their breakfast and it wouldn't be a true review. Great breakfast spot, I can't wait to try lunch. The coffee was piping hot. It actually stayed hot for some time, too. Very rare for that to happen in a restaurant. Waiter was nice, and our food came fast. We were there about 30 minutes which is perfect for breakfast. Ordered the egg French toast, a waffle, and bacon. The bacon is such an afterthought, but that's most places. The French toast and waffle were cooked well and tasted very good. Everything came out about 7 minutes after we ordered. They even gave us softened butter instead of little rock hard squares straight out of the fridge. I saw another table get eggs benedict and potatoes. It was HUGE! I wanted to ask them for a taste. UPDATE: we went back and I ordered an egg sandwich and the breakfast potatoes and it was fantastic. The egg sandwich was loaded with bacon that I didn't have to order an extra side of bacon for my breakfast partner, and the potatoes were little seasoned fried potato cubes with onions and peppers. THEY WERE SO GOOD! Better than hash browns and French fries. The check was about $26, which is insanely reasonable. Looks like we found a new place for breakfast. read more

Great little diner! Located on a fairly busy road and easy to get to. Staff were friendly and patient, and the menu had a lot to choose from. Ordered to go via phone order at 9pm. I ordered a turkey burger, with no bun, specifically asking for just lettuce & I received tomatoes & no lettuce. Not a big deal. Food was ok. I'm going to have to say this is the best diner in westchester. Not the same old menu as other diners. There is a twist to may common diner dishes. Moreover, done well. Food seemed more homemade and fresh compared to other diners, even the toast was not the average white loaf. The sausage was crisp and plumb on the outside and juicy on the inside. As far as diners go, this one is slightly better than anywhere else I've been. read more

This place is the place to go to. The food is fresh and well prepared and yes i know it is the same as the Mamaroneck dinner but the food here is 800000 times better. The salads are fresh and crisp...the citrus vinaigrette is the best. The staff a lot more personable and less stand offish as the other one. I would say it is a no brainer this the best choice for a place to eat late night! read more

Coming from a state where there is a diner in every corner, it takes a lot to impress me. After seeing a movie with my niece, my fiancé and his god daughter, we wanted to stop somewhere to eat that wasn't fast food, that we could get healthy options, and give the picky little one options. We walked in and it was pretty empty. The service was good. The waiters were all attentive and the food was good. Nothing spectacular. Chicken fingers and fries for the little one, mozzarella sticks and fries for my niece. The honey mustard for the chicken tasted watered down. Not home made.The mozzarella sticks were gooey and cheesy and delicious. But who can mess up easy options like that? My fiancé had a tuna melt and fries, typical diner food. The tuna was eh, ok. I've had some pretty terrific tuna melts in plenty of other diners. I opted for a healthier meal and went with a seasonal salad. Not too bad. Really I had no complaints. The salad was big, grilled chicken was good, but some of the lettuce was a little soggy. Overall it got the job done. Variety, hot food, inexpensive. read more

Recently found this place whilst our car was being serviced. Staff are friendly, everything is clean and they were very accommodating to us with our newborn! Food-wise - Amazing kids pancakes! I can't stress strongly enough how good they are. The Short Rib Eggs Benedict is also incredible. We will come here as often as we can going forward! read more

We went in for a quick lunch. Very nice atmosphere. My husband & I had planned to share a meal & had asked for an extra plate. Much to our surprise they went ahead & split the meal for us before they served it. Something small, but the service was very much appreciated. The food was great. We enjoyed one of their wraps with french fries & coleslaw. The ingredients all tasted very fresh. We will certainly return if we are in the area again! read more

BLD diner opened in the old Larchmont Diner location. It's owned by the same folks who run the Mamaroneck Diner, which we consider the best diner in the area. I don't know what BLD stands for, but after eating there, it should stand for Best Little Diner. My portobello mushroom and grilled vegetable panini was crispy and steaming hot. It was served with crunchy, classic fries and creamy coleslaw. My companion had a vegetable quesadilla with ramekins of guacamole, sour cream and fresh tomato salsa. Also delicious. Service was really fast and friendly. I'm so happy there is a great diner a bit closer to home! read more

It was great when it started. I loved this place but very recently they cut the menu down to 3 small pages. Very very limited. Breakfast lunch and dinner and they stress "no substitutions". Good restaurant but not a diner. Probably going to end up going somewhere else from now on. read more

Great, great diner. Quality food, friendly staff with great service. They downsized their menu last year and added in a note on the new menu requesting that no one makes any substitutions. This confirmed my suspicion that the BLD is a bit confused as to what they are. By their own literature, they call themselves a diner. However, with an extensive wine list, smaller menu, and no substitutions, they're straying from the typical diner feel. Not to mention, their menu items are pretty pricey. $13-$15 burgers, $16-$20 pasta dishes, classic entrée items in the high $20's. Decent prices for a typical restaurant, a bit pricey for a 24 hour diner. Seems like the BLD is attempting to be an "upscale" dining establishment as opposed to a typical "divey" diner. Fine by me, because they do serve quality food, however don't come here expecting to create your own late night munchie masterpiece off-menu item, because it ain't happening. Still a great spot. read more

We sat outside on the sidewalk. The waitress was fast and friendly, checked in with us often and all around provided excellent customer service... About half of the people who came in she knew byname the Restaurant was bustling, but the staff were still taking time for little extras- like making a single serving of green iced tea for us. The food was good, we serve very quickly and was hot when we got it. We will definitely be back to enjoy this little local spot.

They arrived about five minutes before the rest of us and grabbed an empty table while they waited. When we got there, the rest of us got in line to order. There were maybe five people ahead of us and plenty of empty tables. Before we even got to the counter, the owner walked over to our friends and told them they couldn't sit down before ordering. They explained that the rest of their party was already in line, but he kept insisting "that's not how it's done here" and got increasingly agitated. My friends finally asked, "Do you want us to leave?" He replied, "I'm not threatening you," but it certainly felt like he was. If that's the policy, then put up a sign. Put it on the front door, on the menus, or on the tables. Don't publicly scold customers for breaking a rule they had no way of knowing existed. It was embarrassing, especially since these were friends visiting from out of town. We left wondering why the owner was so worked up over people sitting at one of the many empty tables while the rest of their party waited in line to spend money. We've always enjoyed Stanz, but after today we won't be back. We'll be taking our lunch business down the street to Bluestone instead, where we've always been treated warmly.

After 45 minutes of waiting, they brought menus -- and then moments later informed us we had to move to a small table in case a larger party came in. We'd been sitting in that booth for nearly an hour, waiting on them. The restaurant was practically empty. There was no manager on site, just a server telling us "it's our policy" with zero flexibility or apology. The waitress was abrupt and dismissive, and our loyalty as regulars meant nothing. It was rude and very embarrassing. We paid our drink tab and left. The food here has always been good, which makes this so disappointing. But being treated like an inconvenience after years of patronage isn't something we'll forget -- or repeat.

This place is down the block from my girlfriend's house, so my experience with it is pretty strictly late nights, a time when food, to me, becomes less about delicate flavor chemistry and more about getting something in my stomach before I hulk out on an unsuspecting waiter. For this reason I prefer takeout. My late night bacon egg and cheese is always done perfectly. Eggs are just the right amount of wet and sloppy where the point of contact with the bun forms a custardy layer of delicious eggy goodness. Bacon is well prepared, of good quality, and generously applied. I appreciate that late night fry guy, good looks. The few times I've sat down the service has been nothing to write home about, though the burgers are tasty and the fries are good too. read more
