8/19/2021 5:30pm.. I am disappointed at their customer service today. I ordered squid balls and pop corn chicken easy spice. The same thing I got the yesterday and it was perfect. When I got it, it was super spicy. My son and I couldn't even tolerate to eat it. I called and spoke with Cynthia (if that's her name, I don't even want to mention anything more since it might be considered bullying) and she said I had to pay half of the price since it was her fault for pressing the mild spice button on the cashier and my fault for not giving her specific instructions when I specifically told her I wanted it easy spice. I told her that I shouldn't pay since it's not my fault and I specifically told her I was just there yesterday and it wasn't as spicy and the one I got today. But she insisted that it was both our faults that I had to pay another $2.50 to get a new one. Now I remember why I stopped coming here. read more

I've been coming to this location for boba since when it was called Tapioca Express. The two girls working were really nice and waited for as I decided what to get. I ordered the icy milk with honey boba, egg pudding, and with the caramel sauce. They only had mini boba, which was no issue with me and it was actually pretty good. My family used to go there weekly. but after that worm post I was over it. tried to give them another chance recently and the vibe is not it. the old lady working there always has a mean attitude. makes you not even want to order. shell give you one packet of soy sauce for a whole plate of fried rice. shell slam your change/card on the counter rather than hand it to you.. the combination fried rice is missing alot of meat these days. smoothie size is not worth all that. I recommend Boba Time if you want some hood boba and service. read more

This was my go to boba spot. The smoothies are creamy with chewy boba. I love that they also serve Taiwanese style snacks. BUT lately since the quarantine I've noticed they've changed the recipes - the quality AND amount given have gone down :( The new spicy fried tofu is bland and tasteless and the tofu quality is poor and spongy, it used to be coated with a chewy yet crunchy outer batter, but now it is thin and lacks substance. The other items such as calamari and tempura also lack seasoning. It is clear they are now using cheaper quality ingredients. I was hoping it was a one time thing but since then I've gone a handful of times and it's consistently poor. I understand the struggle during this pandemic, but it's even more reason to keep your customers and not let the quality suffer. This is the best place for your smoothies and their BBQ pork fried rice smacks!!! They are very efficient and super friendly. My order is always made just how I like it and I'm never disappointed. My favorite is the Berry Berry slush and the worker there named Analise makes it's the best. She is always nice and friendly to me and other customers. Analise and Tammy are the best duo there. Have been coming here for years and have spent tons of money here with my family.And up until now thought it was really good.Until tonight when we ordered several blended drinks and the fried squid two orders,Fried chicken bowl and fried tofu.While eating my wife found a worm in one of the fried squid.After throwing up & all of us as well being so grossed out we decided to bring the uneaten food back to show them and explain to them what happened.My wife politely and discreetly asked the worker to talk on the side and simply warned them to check the food ,where the worked then replied "so do you want another order" ! What the hell, you would assume that they would be very apologetic and instantly offer a refund and apologize a few more times.We said that we did not want a new order and didn't think we'd ever return and asked for a refund because due to the gross situation we enjoyed none of it.We were then taken to the cashier and refunded only the food instead of our entire order and given no apology still ,but a look at us like we shouldn't have gotten any type of refund.Wow, what shitty customer service with absolutely no empathy for the situation.Had we of gone in there and put them on blast in front of the place while everyone was eating maybe the situation would have been different.People sue restaurants over stuff like this.Eat & drink here at your own risk. read more

Average boba. High prices. Unfriendly staff. I tried to get a large boba milk tea and they were going to charge me $4.39! This is the same drink I can get at Quickly's for less than $2! I've never seen a boba shop that charges a whole dollar more for large so I got the regular size. I still paid $3.69 and was shocked that they literally got it out of the fridge and poured it like Quickly's. I mean if you're going to charge premium prices you better be making that drink Tea Station style. The kicker was the drink was actually terrible! It very watered down and had little flavor. The boba was also very bland, no sweetness or honey taste to it at all. The lady who rang me up didn't say thank you. She just handed me my money and then went over to study her homework. The lady who made the drink didn't say thank you either. ALL of the boba places I've been to at least thank you when you pay and thank you when you get your drink. Thank goodness I didn't want a stamp card because I wasn't offered one. Eek at the customer service alone! Bad drinks I can forgive but rude people are a no-no! Blenders is alright. Its another one of those Tapioca Expresses that gave up the franchise. So their drinks/recipes are almost exactly the same. There are SOOOO many drink choices at this place, it could get pretty confusing. They have pictures of every single drink combination taped to the counters/walls...it makes me dizzy. Drinks like: Strawberry-banana-kiwi, Chocolate-Vanilla-Mocha, and Blueberry-banana-orange-my-good-ness-when-will-the-mad-ness-stop. There has to be a simpler way!! Oh, and NEVER go to this place on a Sunday afternoon. Its the time when every church (and there's a heck of a lot of them in this area) just gets out, this is where all the youth groups / families head directly for. Maybe it'll be slower now that its cooling down though. There was something that totally irked me the last time I went. What happened was that the girl that took my order was so impatient that she couldn't wait for me to finish ordering, she literally left after I told her my first drink, and never came back to take the rest. Their drinks are okay but what ticked me off about this place is their customer service. They decided to implement this fake cash detector. I ordered a drink one day and it came out to around $4. I paid with all singles and the girl working the cash register checks all the bills. For some reason the machine said all the bills were fake. Initially my reaction was, "Are you f***ing kidding me." Who checks dollar bills. It's not like I paid with a $100 bill. So I decided to give her a $10 bill and what do you know, the machine says that one is fake too. Call me crazy, but I was THAT desperate for boba to even step foot in this place. I came here with my brothers to satisfy our---okay, maybe MY, boba craving. Living in Carson doesn't really afford me to luxury of many boba options, so Blenders was the way to go. I remember this place was the "spot" in highschool, you know, when it used to be Tapioca Express? Boy, did this place go downhill from then. My brother mumbled about a deal when you buy two boba drinks, so I figured "Why not?" Little did I find out, the deal that was provided was a 3rd drink (either milk tea or thai tea) for a $1. Sounds like a deal, right? Well, if you think $3.25 + tax for thai/milk tea is a "deal," then sure! I ordered the milk tea with boba and sugary water is probably the nicest thing I have to say about it. It was WAY too watered down for my taste. The boba itself was nicely done, so I guess you can clap for that. I had a sip of my brother's thai tea, which was a lot more decent in my opinion. So if you have to choose between the two, get the thai tea (or go to Flying Chopstix to get a better tasting tea for half the price.) They do have a stamp card policy, with get this, $1 off any drink on after your 10th drink. Uh, what happened to my free drink?! Now I know why I don't go here---you don't get a whole lot of bang for your buck. I do have to commend their staff, which were fast, attentive, and friendly. The section is decent, but again, I don't believe the quality justifies the absurdly high prices. Ultimately, quick service and an extensive drink menu won't keep this budgeted boba fanatic at bay. Not really a fan of trying out new drinks because when my sister ordered something different, it tasted funky. The tapioca pearls are hit-or-miss. I'm obsessed with this place! I've tried the beef broccoli bowl and endless amount of their smoothies/slushees and love them all. Only reason I am giving 4 stars is because I go religiously and this summer I've noticed they do NOT have any type of AC. Now as a customer I don't have much of a problem with it...my point of view is the poor employees having to rush and take phone orders while simultaneously making drinks while they're super busy in the HEAT. And most of the time I think I've only seen two people working at a time aside from the cook who makes the food. I feel so bad for them, i can't even fully wait in there for my drink to finish being made in this heat. I phone order and if it's still not ready by the time I get there I just wait in my car with the AC on. When you're stuck on night shift, you begin to knock out all the nearby restaurants one at a time. Blenders got thrown into the rotation more than once since drinks can always be had in addition to whatever food you get from the neighboring food joints. You walk in and are welcomed (or bombarded if you're easily overwhelmed) by pictures of their many many many drinks. It's like a pictorial rainbow of boba smoothies and drinks. Everyone from work really liked the drinks and soon developed cravings when we'd been away too long. I personally like the simplicity of milk tea. Sometimes I'd get it warm and sometimes with tapioca. They're consistently good. Luckily for me, there is an ongoing special where you can get a milk tea for $1.50 whenever you order two drinks. They give out frequent buyer cards where you can get a free one after a certain amount, but I noticed that no matter how many drinks you buy, if they're giving you a new card, they only stamp it twice. I don't think it's fair, but it's their business and they'll do whatever they want. No big deal. They serve food here as well. I've only had the steamed dumplings and the taro balls, so that's all I can really go on. I really enjoyed both. The taro balls are especially a nice unusual dessert treat. read more

Pass on the boba, but food and drinks are solid. Boba is flavorless. If you want something to chew on, get flavored jelly instead. The drinks here are actually pretty good. I think their menu is pretty extensive and separates itself from other boba places that just offer basic fruit smoothies and milk teas. My favorite would have to be the kale slush. Get it with some green apple or lychee jelly and its perfect. Plus it's kale. Kale is a vegetable, BAM somewhat healthy. Order with less than regular sugar and it's still pretty sweet. For food, I've tried a good amount of things. By far the most worth it is the pork chop w/ rice. 2 pork chops, rice, salted egg and some other stuff W/ green or black tea for around $8. That alone might feed two peeps. Grab an order of taro balls too while you're at it! Call your order in, you'll have it pretty quick. There are prize games off to the side while you wait. You probably won't win so just drop that $$ in the Blender tip jar and help those lovely ladies instead. read more

I always come here. I love the slush drinks and the smoothies are actually quite good too. I usually go with cantaloupe smoothie, because it has all the flavor but it's extra sweet and creamy. Make sure you specify what type of drink you want though because sometimes i'll say slush and they'll give me a smoothie, and vice versa. If you buy a drink, you can buy a milk tea for only one dollar and it's actually really tasty. The only thing i've eaten here was a teriyaki bowl. It was pretty straight forward, not great, not bad. I asked for no sesame seeds though and they put them on anyway. Also, if your cashier is the old lady who i think owns the place, good luck talking to her. Her accent is so thick that I usually have to ask her to repeat herself a few times. Basically, say exactly what you want so she won't have to ask you any questions about your order. read more

For what used to be Tapiopa Express, they sure don't serve Tap-Ex sized popcorn chicken. It's at least half the size of what I could get elsewhere, and their is reeeeal small. For the price they're charging, go somewhere else for the popcorn chicken. (or somewhere else, period) As for the milk tea, it's not bad, tasty. But nothing about it is super special either, I might give their other "blended" drinks a try next time. read more

Fried rice with a Thai tea with boba! Both tasted great. I'm not a boba conaseur. I only know if I like it or don't. This boba was really soft, I like mine a little more firm. Either way the Thai Tea was tasty and I definitely want to come back to try some different drinks. The girl at the desk said anything with Fresh in front of it means that it is made with fresh fruit. That is so awesome. Well I can't wait to try something different. I wish they took card for all transactions though. I mean, in this day and age, even meter parking and vending machines take card. You can use your card for transactions over 10$ . This will be the only thing keeping me away. I don't always carry cash. I just went here last night and i'm in love! They have an extensive blended, smoothie menu and they have boba! I have been looking for a place close to the house and this is it. They also have a pretty decent food menu which I will definitely start working on. We tried the Watermelon Strawberry Smoothie, Thai tea with boba and Honeydew with boba. All were very tasty and they were having a special where you buy 2 smoothies and get a milk or tea for $1. Definitely recommend trying this place out. read more

First time here and it was so good! I've been looking for a spot that sells coffee drinks, not a shake yet not a frapp. I hate the ones from Starbucks that start to melt really fast and get watery.
