    Matcha latte

Stopped by when waiting for a restaurant to call us nearby. Got a matcha latte and it's pretty good. Didnt come sweetened which is what I preferred. It has seats and outlets, it's a cost spot. Would come again if in the area.

I usually avoid Blenz because of the overrun expresso (which inevitably tastes burnt or so overpoweringly dark you can't taste anything but the burnt) and usually terrible atmosphere but when it's the only 24 hour coffee shop in the hood it's all I've got! (I stick to steamed milk and tea anyway...) This location is indeed 24 hours but if you come here bring headphones - the music is always terrible, almost everyone in the place is wearing a pair anyways. Horrible R&B or bad New Age jazz, or something equally intrusive and unpleasant... makes me want to rip out my eyes. Also, if you decide to sit in the comfy chairs at the back you'll inevitably smell the bathroom and whatever air freshener they use in there, which just reeks. This location's recent 'makeover' is a step up from it's previous look but is still too... unwelcoming and sterile. The walls are just too white and they seem to be trying to hard. I really wish there were other all night options in the West End as I'd go anywhere but here, but sadly there aren't. At least in the middle of the night the place is full of people, alone, with headphones, plugged into their laptops, studying/reading, and ultimately ignoring each other.

I was biking this afternoon in the westend and wanted a chai latte pretty badly. I found Blenz. Well, I already knew it was there but I found it first before I saw another coffee shop and so I went in.. I ordered a soy chai latte please. The price for a small size comes to $4.42 but I accidently put down an extra 2 bucks which the guy behind the counter was oblivious to as he was scooping it up to throw in the til. I caught it just in time but when I reached for my coins he jerked his hand back, then I had to tell him what happened and he took a good thirty seconds looking into his hand before letting me take back my money. Doosh. At that same moment I caught the girl making my drink with REGULAR milk! She was mid pour when I squealed "SOY please!" and instead of ditching the mix of chai and god knows how much real milk, She took out the soy milk and poured it in as well. Double doosh. At this point I was like, ferget it, gimme mah drink yo. I took my first sip once outside and severely burnt my tongue. Not a happy experience.

Great coffee place with amazing service! Every morning during my visit in Vancouver I would get up and go get myself a good latte! Very delicious and well located.

If you are traveling down Denman and you are craving a sweet treat, this is the place to go. Their were so many temptations to choose from it was hard to pick just two. The coffee was delish... but we were their for the desserts. When you are inside the coffee shop, you are taken away from the hustle and bustle from the neighborhood outside. A beautifully designed place to get a way or meet a friend. The staff is very friendly, and you never have to wait long for your drink We will definitely be back!

I live down the street from this place. It's been good to me. It does have some quirks, like the homeless staying on the patio all hours of the night just to use the heaters, the fact that this is almost Koreatown and the clientele suggests such (good food in Koreatown), and it's obvious what this place is here for, is the laptops! Everybody's got a laptop, there's a plug in at every table, and free wireless access with purchase for two (2) hours. This day, I have pneumonia. I just needed to get out. I am actually here right now. I had a soy milk latte and a croissant. Both were just fine. In fact, I'm tempted to get another coffee. Not sure what else to say about this place other than the coffee is just a bit more than $tarbuck$, I used to work for the President of Blenz (George Moen), and that I'm so comfortable that I can't really move anywhere else soon. Today, that is.

This place is always packed to the rafters so I am a bit surprised there aren't that many reviews. I am not a huge coffee drinker so this review is not about that. It's more about the ambiance, which I quiet enjoyed actually. This is a student / freelancers / neighborhood hub. The +++ 1. Free Wi-Fi, 2. Comfy couches 3. Great "people watching" location 4. Really friendly staff 5. Sweet summer patio 6. Nearby 2 hour parking 7. Location in general The --- (supposed to look like minuses) 1. Only one bathroom (you sometimes have to line up to go to the loo) 2. Coffee is nothing to write home about That is all :) M

Like the other reviewer pointed out, this place has an awkward design. The space is incredibly narrow and to make it even more inconvenient, once you have received your order from the barista you have to turn around and make your way back through the line that you were just standing in to get to the door. If there were two doors, one at the front and one at the rear it would be much more user-friendly. When my wife and I came in here there was a long line to the door and as mentioned, we were constantly having to move back and forth to make way for customers ahead of us leaving with their beverages. There are a few tables and chairs if you want to stay around and consume your order inside but these tables make the space even more congested. The cream and sugar counter is located amongst the tables making the space all the more crowded. The line actually moved pretty quick and the service was friendly. I got just a regular coffee with a cranberry orange muffin. The coffee was good and the muffin was fresh. No complaints about the food and beverages - this coffee shop just isn't for the claustrophobic and crowd weary. The place is shaped like a bent nail.

Foccacia was very crispy outside and soft inside. One of the best sandwich. I will order again. Monte cristo was also good. Grilled bread was very crispy and nicely pressed. Provolone and prosciutto cotto combination was great, too. Sundried totamto provided great accent. I will order this one again, too. Overall, it was a great sandwich shop. Highly recommend.

Salty, rich, and super savory, but balanced enough that you keep going back for another bite. The tuna tostada was light, fresh, and sitting on a crisp base that gave it that addictive crunch.

I've visited twice--once for a weekday lunch and again for weekend brunch to celebrate completing my doctorate. During my first visit, I ordered the burger, which was juicy, flavourful, and exceeded my expectations. On my second visit, we both ordered the eggs Benedict, and they were just as impressive. I'm glad I had the chance to experience both the lunch and brunch menus. The space itself is one of the restaurant's strengths. I love the open-concept design, the clean and contemporary interior, and the inviting patio, which would be perfect on a sunny day. Unfortunately, the service was inconsistent. My first visit was perfectly fine, but during brunch the service fell short. It took an unusually long time to receive our bill, and throughout the meal it felt like our table was largely forgotten. Eventually, we had to flag down another server for assistance. To make matters more confusing, our original server brought the cheque only after we had already paid through the other staff member. While the service could definitely be more attentive, the excellent food, pleasant atmosphere, and reasonable prices are enough to make me want to return. I hope the service becomes more consistent because this restaurant has all the ingredients to be a standout dining destination.

We found this as our initial destination had an absurd wait, and we left satisfied and pleasantly surprised. I saw pics online of what appeared to be large, juicy, and crispy fried chicken sandwiches sporting local hot sauces as the secret ingredients, and that's what brought us in. We ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with the Hot Duck chili crisp on it. Upon the bartenders rec we opted for the extra hot, which was a good call because it didn't really pack a punch to us chili heads, but had great flavor. The chicken was juicy and crispy, and the brioche bun was so soft and fluffy. All around a good sandwich, but we found it strange that they only offered it with chips, and no upgrade to fries, which were available as an add on order. As we ate our sandwich and waffle fries we realized there was no smell of oil in the air or sounds of a fryer, which had us scratching our heads. We looked for a hood too and noticed none. Eventually we realized that everything here is commercially air fried, which was both fun to learn and somewhat surprising. If this place had a fryer, it would be SO much better, but considering this limitation, it was solid. The sauce selection was huge too. I loved that you could taste them all and that they offered some amazing deals too. We found a few that warranted us checking a bag on the way back so we could enjoy them on the other side of the border, and I'm stoked they offer online ordering and shipping so we can get some more when they run out. All in all a solid experience. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. As a hot sauce store, this is a 5 star experience, as a restaurant, also good but just have the right expectations.

I don't know how they do it but it's incredibly affordable and the quality of food is impressive! I got their Veggies on Fire (Cheddar, lettuce, sprouts, tomato, cucumber, green pepper, pickles, red onion, banana peppers, Dijon, spicy mayo - Hot Sauce: Dawson's Shawarma). This was $8. Plus I added waffle fries, which I don't even care for. But these were heavily seasoned and cooked to perfection. The sandwiches come with chips but you can't miss the fries. You can choose which breads you want and I choose sourdough. Highly recommend that you toast that bread. The sandwich was huge and staked with so many veggies. The hot sauce was very mild but paired so well. The service was phenomenal! Above and beyond and so friendly. The place gets quite busy, understandable, and they are still so patient and friendly. I can't wait to try their extensive menu and order their veggie friendly menu options! And, obvy, their 1000 hot sauces!

Let's be honest, the star of this show is the bread! The baguette was warm, soft and so delicious. However, that's where the excitement stopped for me. The chicken with breading was soggy and the pesto and mozzarella was such a small amount, it felt like a soggy chicken sandwich with lots of bread. If they put more pesto dressing, more mozzarella cheese and more tomatoe sauce, I could have looked past the soggy chicken. All in all, I'm glad it tried it, the bread is amazing, and I'll come back to try a 'cold' sandwich to see if the other options are better!
