The space is smallish but they do have bar seating in addition to seating throughout. The service was friendly and the drinks were great. They don't offer food, but they do offer cocktails, beer, wine, and mocktails. I went on a Sunday and they have a special menu called "Almost Monday." It's a smaller, simpler cocktail menu and the prices are very fair compared to other cocktail spots. I tried the Caipirinha (pineapple) and the Negroni sour. Both were good. My favorite between the two was the Negroni. It had a pretty color and wasn't too sour or strong. I'd def recommend it and get it again. Definitely stop in and check out this cute spot in Shawnee.

When you arrive there is parallel parking available outside the bar. When you walk in you'll feel like your bright, vibrant, and feels incredibly welcoming. Also, they have some really fun drinks as well that have been thoughtfully put together. We ended up sitting at the bar and I started with the Reformed Porn Star (vanilla vodka, bronson's tropical milk punch, passion fruit, Prosecco, citric acid and popping boba) which was by far my favorite drink and felt like I could have drank a couple more of these. Second I tried the Neo Cosmo (white rum, strawberry, cacao, coconut, rose hip, lime, bubble) which was good and was a fun drink with an ice cream shaped cup and a bubble on the top (meant to look like an ice cream cone). If you are in the area, this bar is a must try, the bartenders were awesome and took good care of us. Between the creative cocktails, fun atmosphere, unique floral setting, this was a memorable experience I'd definitely return for.

It was Saturday evening, a little after 5:00. Crazy busy. The customers were a little scary when they pounced on the available tables. Some patrons at the bar were willing to scootch together when there's an empty seat. It's probably a little less crazy when it's warm enough for the outdoor seating. When sitting at the tables you place orders at the front counter, on the kiosks, at the bar the bartender takes orders. When we went Tea was the bartender and Jenny was the hostess. Both were phenomenal. We started with the Chips & Guac (homemade) $6.49 and added Salsa on the side. FPO had the KC Burrito with Carne Asada for $11.99 and Corona Extra $3.79. I had the Special Philadelphia Cheesesteak Burrito for $13.99 and a Crunchy Taco with ground beef $3.79, and a House Margarita $9.99. The food and drinks were pretty good but I think it was the happy atmosphere that made it a truly enjoyable experience.

I'll be excited to see what comes from it. Surprisingly my two favorites were the off-menu cocktail and the Junglebird. The Gin drink was almost like a creamy Paloma, which was crazy! It must have been the botanical notes of the gin mixing with the coconut milk in a unique way! The junglebird was just delicious. No notes on that one. I'll be coming back soon. I love that this little neighborhood has a few hidden gems.

A few people were talking to him and the man left a few minutes later and the bartender and the handful of patrons/cronies that were there, talked so much shit about this man I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The bartender was atrocious - we didn't even finish our beers because we couldn't get out of that place fast enough! very unfriendly staff and just an overall crappy vibe. As I was leaving, the bartender made a snarky comment to me about the fact that I didn't tip her. She needs to do a little self reflection and understand that it's her service or lack thereof and her shit attitude as to why I stiffed her! I was in the bar and restaurant industry for over 25 years ( and until her, I have NEVER stiffed anyone) and have no problem tipping someone extremely well, the mess behind the bar, referred to as the bartender, needs to work on her approach and maybe even find another profession, Absolutely horrible service and won't be back .

After we ordered our libations the bartender suggested we head upstairs where it was less crowded and it was so cozy we felt like we were in someone's living room. Another couple joined us and we ended up having such a lovely conversation with them, chatting all about our favorite hot spots in Kansas City (gotta love KC pride). Just a note this is a slightly hidden speakeasy inside a pizza place, you need to have a password but it's easily found on their social media pages- just check Instagram. On our way out we decided to get a slice of pie (pizza pie that is) to balance out all that whiskey we washed down. I believe the one we got to go was called The Bee-sting, it had pepperoni and hot honey and though it was simple it hit the spot after a night of imbibing. I would most definitely revisit common tiger even without the winter aesthetic.

I tried the Running of the Bullshit: blanco tequila, pineapple, lime, and smoked honey. It was good. The smoked honey was a tad overpowering but overall not bad. I'd probably opt for a different cocktail next time. I had a sip of the watermelon moonshine: blanco tequila, watermelon, grenadine, lemon, luxando, plum bitters, and topo Chico. It was watermelon! But it was good. Very refreshing. Both cocktails were very visually appealing with fun accessories and accents. Definitely check them out!

The owners personally came by each table, which made the experience feel so welcoming and genuine. It's those thoughtful touches that really elevate a dining experience. Though we would not have expected this, Aztec's staff was very kind to offer us any available seats. I do wish there was more standing room available and I wish there was a larger variety of music that played here. However, the classic rock cover bands I've seen here put on a GREAT show. I'm glad to have this place in my local community.

Its a shame I couldn't give this place more stars, the waitress, We had was extremely rude to my wife. Rude to the point where we left before the jalapeno poppers. Lets start at the beginning, when we arrived it was fairly early. Not too busy yet but you could tell the staff was expecting a rush (and who wouldn't, as its Friday night). So we were sat in the middle of the restaurant.The only reason I have a problem with this is because the tables are really close together and we wanted a bit more intimacy as it was our anniversary. When the waitress finally came over (it was apparent that whatever the Kitchen staff and her were discussing was way more important than coming and taking our drink orders). Yet, she did finally come over to the table. She was average height with long blondish brown hair, and really, her outfit was disgusting for a restaurant, my wife and I don't want to see her underwear/G string or her bra straps. (first mistake not being clean in a restaurant setting), I guess what happened next was one of the most appalling moments of the night. First off, when the waitress spoke, she was chewing gum, so it was awfully difficult to understand her. When my wife asked her to repeat her self, she rolled her eyes, turned toward my wife and said in a very rude and mean way "HOW MUCH SLOWER WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO TALK". Okay really? Was that really necessary. My wife ignored her comment and decided she didn't really care what the girl said, we were going to have wine. Once we ordered it, she walked back to the bar and proceeded to open several bottles of wine and putting her NOSE ON THE BOTTLE OF EACH TO DETERMINE IF ITS GOOD WINE!! Oh I was so disgusted! I told my wife to let me handle this, and when she came back with our glasses of wine, I told her I saw her put her nose on each of those bottles and we will take water only. She had this super snotty attitude and told me I had no idea what I saw and I was going to drink that wine because she poured it! Oh my wife was really angry at that point and requested to speak to a manager, that's when she said I am the manager and this is as high up as your going to get!! We ordered 6 Jalapeno poppers to go with our meal as a quick appetizer, unfortunately after the horrible service we received, we didn't even get to try those. My wife was upset on our anniversary, and that waitress has no business being a manger or even working in the food business. Owners: Please have a dress code for your employees, that was disgusting and unappetizing. Please teach your waitresses to not chew gum and try to serve people, it makes it very difficult to hear, please its common sense to not be chewing gum (but then again, I would have thought that keeping your undergarments UNDER your clothes as common sense. Just mentioning). Do you not train your waitresses to know how to spot good or bad wine? How often do you not sell wine that you have to smell every bottle! Oh, and please teach your waitresses the proper way to serve. If this is the way she treated us, I am sure she has treated other people the same way and they just are not talking on here about it. Last but not least, please have a decent way to get ahold of some real management at your establishment. I saw on your website there was a place for comments but every time I attempted to leave a comment, it would saying something was not working properly. Figure it out before you don't get any good reviews anymore. Its a shame we never got to try the food. It smelled really good. read more

My girlfriends and I so wanted to love this place when we first came in. It's within 2 miles of my house, has great decor and the food smelled awesome! I would give them more stars for the food but the wait staff was so horrible, I felt I couldn't even do that! When we first arrived, a girl behind the bar was standing there on her phone, no greeting, no acknowledgement of our arrival, nothing. Now I understand when a restaurant is busy, but this place was dead, we were trying to beat the dinner rush so we arrived a little early. So we decided to seat ourselves, seeing how no one was aware we had even arrived. Upon sitting at a table for 4, the bar tender finally realized we were there, and yelled at us from behind the bar about not being able to sit at this table because they were expecting a large group in about an hour and she doubted we would finish our meals that quickly. While this was incredibly rude, my friends and I decided we would move, and requested menus from her. She rolled her eyes and finally put her phone down to bring us menus. A few moments later, our waitress arrived and requested our drink orders. When I asked about what wine they carried, I was told they do not carry wine and only sold bourbon drinks and if I want one of those. I was a little taken aback as I had read other reviews of this place, and there was no mention of a bourbon only bar. So I simply ordered a soda. As she walked away, she went to the bar tender (who was back on her phone), and very plainly stated that this table was cheap and there is no way she will be getting a good tip. As my friends and I were sitting not 10 ft away, I was quite offended by both their attitudes and behavior. Once we ordered the food did not take a long time to arrive (maybe 20 min), I had the beef brisket... it was amazing! Melted in my mouth, had amazing flavor and it would be the only reason I ever endure this wait staff again. My friends had the Pork Belly, chicken, and turkey. All of our meals were excellent. The mac n cheese was creamy, with nice presentation. The fries were good, I prefer them a little crunchy, but that's personal choice. As we were eating our meal, the waitress NEVER came by to ask us if we needed anything else, never offered to refill our drinks and never asked if we enjoyed the food. As we sat there eating our food, i was very distracted by the other waitresses, as they were sitting in the bar area, laughing and ignoring the few tables that had been there. As we were watching our own waitress sit there and laugh extremely loud, we decided it was time to go. Eventually we realized she was not going to come back, so we asked a passing waitress for our tab. We paid our tab and because my friend has an aversion to not leaving a tip, we left a very small one. I don't even think she realized we left. So a few things; food, awesome, I will never go back and eat here, if I decide I do want to, I will order carry out. Waitresses: rude, especially the one with short brunette hair. Bar: get a better selection than just bourbon, including wine... and if you have other items perhaps training of your staff. Bartender: stay off your phone and learn some manners. Overall I am sad for such a great restaurant to be brought down by a horrible wait staff. This place had the worse service I have ever received!! My husband and I went for dinner the other night. I could see they were very busy, but the service was so bad we will NOT be returning!!! Let's start off with seating, sure we got sat, by this VERY rude young lady who walked over to a table put the menus down and walked away. I was surprised by this because everywhere else I have been they least say hello! Next we waited 15 minutes for the waitress to even stop by the table! And believe me, it was this long because I timed it after realizing it had been a while since we had been sat. That's what my timer said!!! When she showed up, she didn't even say hello she just said what do you want to drink. Very rude! We both decided to have an old fashioned. We figured an establishment like this could at least make that correctly, boy were we sorely mistaken! It took another 20 min for her to arrive with our drinks.... now I don't know about you but no old fashioned I have ever had came with mint and basil as a garnish... do they not keep oranges and cherries on hand?!? Then, when you put my drink next to my husbands, you could see a large color difference.... like mine was half water and his actually had alcohol in it. I was pretty upset and decided to ask for a new one... as clearly mine was not made the same way as his. But it took the waitress another 10 min to come back and when she did, she accused me to watering it down!! HOW INCREDIBLY RUDE! She did bring me a new one, but you can bet she charged us for both of my drinks! The food was good, when we finally got to order it. It came out hot which I was surprised about because our waitress seems to think her job is really social hour with the kitchen staff! It's so unprofessional to see your waitress flirting with the men in the kitchen. It's as though she is asking the restaurant to fire her so she can file sexual harassment! I had the chicken and my husband has the pulled pork. Both were cooked nicely, I had fries and green beans and he had mac n cheese and onion straws. However, our drinks were never refilled, water was never brought out to the table after several requests for both. And we finally gave up getting a to go box. We actually had to ask a different server for our tab, because she never came back to the table. The whole dinner took over two hours because the waitress couldn't do her job! I am sure she is still probably complaining about how we didn't bother to tip her, it was her own fault. Maybe if she had asked how our food was or if we wanted another drink. To the manager of this establishment: train your bar staff to make an old fashioned. As a bourbon bar, they should at least be able to do that. Your waitress with the long brown hair, kinda short, and has a thing for your kitchen staff? Perhaps it's time to cut your losses. The only reason I gave this restaurant any stars was because the food was cooked perfectly! It had great smoke, was flavored nicely and was super moist. I was more upset with the service we received on Friday night. My wife and I arrived early, so to beat the dinner rush. We sat at the bar, and was planning to have a few drinks before dinner. Neither of us are very familiar with Bourbon, much less different types of Bourbon drinks. When the bartender finally came over to us, there was no smile, in fact she didn't even bother to ask how we were doing. She simply stated what do you want to drink. Taken aback, my wife started asking about all the bourbon and requested she tell her about any signature drinks blind box has. The bartender simply said we only have two drinks and they are on the menu, she hands us the menu and walked away. While we were surprised we decided to look through the drink menu, and settled on wine since the bartender wasn't much help. Since we already had a not so helpful experience from the bartender, we decided to sit at a table, and order. The waitress that came over was nice, she at least said hello. But it wasn't her table side manner I have a problem with, it was her attentiveness to us. Our silverware was dirty, when we requested new ones, they didn't come until after our meal was brought out. Our wine glasses went empty before the appetizer came and were NEVER REFILLED!! However she did bring us water. After several attempts to get more wine we simply stopped, and quietly drank our water. I am sorry but I always thought if you have two people drinking, you want to keep them drinking, higher bill=higher tip, right? Once we finished our appetizer, the plate wasn't removed, not even when they brought out our food! So at the end of the night we had all the dishes, two sets of silverware each, empty wine glasses, and water glasses. The table was very full. After spending the weekend in KC for my son's birthday & super bowl Sunday, my family & I stopped in for lunch before heading back to Omaha. My son mentioned that he had heard about the Blind box on social media & so we were eager to check them out. There were 8 us & we each ordered different items from the menu. Cameron was our server & he did a great job! We had burnt ends, which were the best in my opinion. Chicken, ribs, corn, loaded mac-n-cheese & wontons were all great as well. After we had all finished eating, we boxed up our left overs & got on the highway to make the 2hr & 45 minute commute back home. Upon arriving home, my daughter realized that she had left her Louis Vuitton bag hanging on the back of a chair at the restaurant. Since we were there during the lunch rush I was pretty sure that the bag was gone. I called & spoke with the staff & to my surprise the bag had already been located & put in their safe. After a few emails & phone calls, the manager Rebecca W informed me that she had a day off coming up & she would ship the bag to my daughter. I live 2 minutes away and didn't even know this was here but now that i do, I'll be back again and again! I used to think the fries at a nearby BBQ joint were the best, but the ones here are even better! And I loooooooooooooooove the sweet potato fries! We have yet to dine in - have had take out - but I do look forward to dining in soon. Our last take-out order was messed up, but when I called the bartender who took our order, he could not have been nice and more apologetic. Because it was pouring down rain, he knew I did not want to come back so he could make it right; instead he offered me a gift card to make sure I'd be back, which was great customer service, which seems to be lacking nearly everywhere you go anymore these days. But not at this place. The bartender, Alex, was friendly, informative and charming as were the other waiters there that night. Offering the gift card so I'd come back was a genuine gesture, but I'll be back even without it! I have yet to try the lil juicy and that is next on my list! Yes, the burnt ends are large pieces of meat - but man oh man are they good!! So flavorful and tender - I was actually moaning as I ate! lol And I hoped and prayed my son could not finish his fries so I could, and he couldn't, so I did - haha Wishing nothing but lots of success for this gem in my neighborhood! read more

Disappointed by Misleading Promotion, Despite Good Food and Service We recently dined here and overall, the food was good and our server was excellent--friendly, attentive, and genuinely tried to help. However, we had a frustrating experience with the restaurant's rewards program that left a sour taste. On our table, there was a flyer advertising a free appetizer for signing up for their rewards program. Based on this promotion, we signed up and ordered an appetizer we otherwise wouldn't have. Unfortunately, when it came time to redeem it, the manager informed us that the reward could only be used on a future visit--something that was not stated anywhere on the flyer. What was most disappointing was how the manager handled the situation. Instead of honoring the promotion or making it right in any way, she simply said she had been worried this might be a problem. It felt like an acknowledgment that the flyers were misleading, yet they continued placing them on tables even as we were leaving. The appetizer itself was just okay--not something we would've ordered if we hadn't expected it to be complimentary. While the food and service were generally solid, the way this situation was handled made the experience frustrating. Transparency matters, and misleading promotions don't reflect well on management. read more

Looking for some AMAZING BBQ. I've recently had the pleasure of experiencing Blind Box BBQ's catering for a couple of client meetings as well as a large company lunch. I must say, each and every time it was nothing short of phenomenal! From start to finish, the service was impeccable, and the food was absolutely mouth-watering. The ribs were a standout with the best bark and flavor I've ever tasted. Each bite was a perfect blend of smoky goodness and tender meat. The brisket was equally impressive, melting in your mouth with every bite and the other meats are just as great, Burnt ends are also tender and juicy and just melt in your mouth. It's clear that Blind Box BBQ knows their way around a smoker! The sides were just as fantastic. The slaw was fresh and crisp, the smoked potato salad has a delightful smoky twist, and the mac & cheese was creamy and comforting. I have been a fan of Blind Box for years and have been urging my coworkers to try it for a while. So, I arranged to have Blind Box cater our quarterly staff meeting luncheon yesterday to introduce them to Blind Box's deliciousness. We got burnt ends, smoked chicken quarters, and smoked brisket as our mains. As sides, we got smoked potato salad, bourbon baked beans, and cheesy corn bake. And, for dessert, we had carrot cake cupcakes. Absolutely everything was outstanding! My coworkers were really impressed, and I overheard several comments about thinking the food was so good that they would now definitely go to the restaurant, even though it is a bit out of the way for where many of them live. Andrew, the catering manager, was very accommodating while I was investigating our ordering options, brought everything on time, and set up the buffet area for us nicely. Andrew was very pleasant throughout the experience! We just had drop-off catering at our office, but from having eaten at the Shawnee restaurant many times, I can also say their service on site is stellar and the restaurant is quite nice. I have tried most of the places that show up on Top-10 lists for local BBQ, and I honestly feel like Blind Box is the very best BBQ in the KC metro area. read more

We have been enjoying Blind Box since discovering it in January. Great food, great service and simply a cool place. However, during 2 visits in the last week or so we will never return. My husband had lunch there last week and said the manager, shorter guy in a shirt and tie, kicked an ice bucket and cussed where people who were eating could see and hear him. Ok, so maybe a one off kinda thing. Nope. We went back for dinner over the weekend and this place was a joke. We asked about our favorite person there and the reason we've been coming for as long as we have only to find out Crystal doesn't work there anymore. We were so sad to hear this. She was always such a joy! Our server, albeit very kind, was clueless. She even tried to get us to leave a 5-Star review and she'd give us free dessert- HA! That same manager my husband said kicked the ice bucket was there. And he was cussing... again. We sat in a booth in the back of the restaurant and he walked by, clearly mad and cussing under his breath. But we definitely heard him drop the F-Bomb. So disappointed, we won't be back. Recently tried BB for the first time during lunch. I'm picky about ribs because I do not like charred ribs and not dry hard pieces . Which is what I seemed to get when I order ribs at many well-known KC bbq places. So, I played it safe and ordered their BBQ nachos for everyone as appetizers and had no expectations but these were delicious. Great flavor and combo of cheeses and has all their meats on them but not too much, they still tasted like nachos w nice cheese sauce w meats sprinkled in. Onto the main course, I played it safe again and just ordered pulled pork sandwich which was good- I really like their BBQ sauce, not too sweet or spicy but good combo of both. One of my friends knew I preferred ribs and was sweet to order me a side of 2 ribs to try- I'm so glad she did. No hard, dry meat, and they actually had plenty of meat on the bone and was nice & tender- score! I will finally found a place where I like the ribs and even though Blind Box is not usually recommended as a major BBQ place compared to many well known names, this is a winner in my book! read more

We had Blind Box cater our wedding and they could not have done a better job. We had endless comments about how good the food was from all of our guests. We can't say enough about how impressed we were with how great the food and catering staff were during the entire event. We only asked them to do minimal busing of tables and they ended up doing so much more. Sophia and Gina were excellent and very attentive the whole night. They made us feel like they really cared about our wedding. Kemer was great to work with leading up to and on the day of our wedding. He and the staff delivered on everything we asked and more. The presentation of the appetizers and buffet fit our theme perfectly and the food was delicious. We also used their bar-tending service and that was spot on as well. The bartender was personable and jumped in to help with other things when he wasn't busy. In a city defined by its BBQ, to say KC offers a lot of options is an understatement. Today I tried Blind Box for the first time and have to admit, I didn't want it to be better than my usual bbq restaurant, but it was. So much better as a matter of fact! The ribs fall of the bone and have the perfect texture. The brisket is so tender it can cut with a fork. The sides were amazing. I have never ordered sweet potato fries on purpose, but theirs are actually fantastic . The street corn and Mac-n-cheese are the comfort foods you never knew you needed. The atmosphere and service are both as great as the food. We were lucky enough to be served by Scott, the manager and the best waiter in KC. It was our first time at the restaurant but he made us feel like family and important guests. I know we all have our tried and true BBQ spots here in KC, but if you haven't tried Blind Box then you owe it to yourself to give it a go. Blind Box BBQ is one of my go-to BBQ places in town, this most recent visit was the best yet. The place really has an upper-class feeling when you go, very sharply dressed staff and a modern feeling to the place. The food is very reasonably priced for the quality, I might even dare suggest it's under priced. Most dishes range from 11$ to 20$ and have very hearty portion sizes. This visit I had their Notorious Hog with a side of Corn Mash. The meats were PERFECTLY cooked, melt in your mouth with just that small bit of liquefied fat coating it to just be amazing. The burger itself was double the size I expected for 11$ too and my waitress 'Kristal' had perfect timing. Took my order right on time, the food came out very quickly, refilled my drink before it was even empty, and answered any questions I had. This may not be one of the 'historical' BBQ places. But for Plaza-quality, and I mean that, food at a normal person's budget it's definitely worth your visit! read more

Tonight my wife and I celebrated Valentines day with a meal at one of our favorite restaurants in the entire KC area. As usual the meal at Blind Box BBQ was excellent, but tonight was extra special because of our server, Max. He was one of the best servers we have ever had. Max actually made eye contact with my wife when walking out of the kitchen from across the restaurant, and smiled to let her know he was being watchful of our needs. My wife commented on this to me. I told Max that I would like him to give compliments to the chef because our meal was so good, and he said he would do so. When I said "Thank You" for doing that, Max said "you are welcome" instead of "no problem" like most servers these days. I complimented him on his professionalism. Max is a true asset to BBBBQ and it was our pleasure to be served by him. Thank you Max for making our Valentines Day meal such a wonderful dining experience! I am really disappointed. It was a good atmosphere off the bat. The service was excellent. I asked for a recommendation and was steered toward the burnt end and brisket platter. All was going well until the food was delivered. Not only was this selection pricey, but for about $17 it was seriously lacking. There were about 5 chunks of burnt ends and 3-4 slices of brisket. The burnt ends looked right, but the char was not crisp at all but soggy and soft. The brisket was even worse. It was set on a bed of decorative greens I assume to hide the oil slick under it. The brisket must have been drowning in a grease bath because it was saturated. Worse yet it tasted like it as well. The brisket had no texture, it just turned to mush. It was completely inedible. Bottom line: go to Jack Stack or Q39 if you want to spend this kind of money on BBQ. At least then you'll be getting what you pay for. read more

The Podiun Plattwr takes first place. Tender pillows of beef and fat make up the burnt ends. Light smoky char, like a bovine version of pork belly. More than handful paired next to slabs of brisket that could serve as couches if you wanted to nap in the warm embrace of bbq sauce. Creamy mac and cheese is a craft not just Kraft and mellows this KC beef experience. Onion straws are just fun and the honey mustard and perfect mix of salt and spices was a crunchy compliment to the pitmaster's offering. Server Jenny was excellent and made the perfect Arnold Palmer. Not too sweet and just a little tart and with a hint of darkness that echos her personality. She was attentive and made me want to stay and chat. Took some of the extra meet home. The last thing before I hit the pillow will be the taste of Blind Box, and maybe a little bit of and reminder of Jennifer's smile. read more

If you haven't been to Blind Box in Shawnee, check it out. Had Sunday Brunch there today, it was excellent, exceptional. Everything on the menu, I believe, was on the buffet, ribs, meat balls pulled pork, just to name a few; including breakfast items, so much food. If you wanted an omelette your way, you got it; prime rib and I got it rare, my way.. I normally pass on desserts, however the desserts were so eye appealing, I couldn't resist. All made at Blind Box, unbelievable, very, very good. I couldn't try them all so I have to go back. The frosting on the cake was our server, McKenzie. McKenzie greeted us with a smile followed up with us several times, very attentive. McKenzie made our visit very enjoyable and she was very busy. I actually love the food here- but unfortunately the service is less then good and last night was the icing on the cake. Several times we have gone and it has taken a ridiculous amount of time to be served. Then last night while I understand they were busy with it being New Year's Eve i along with several others sat curbside for over an hour waiting for our food. I called twice and both times all I was told is we are busy and someone will be out shortly. No one ever bothered to come out to any of the cars to check on anyone or give an explanation. It was completely un-except-able behavior! Then I got home and our order wasn't even right. I feel like this is the point in the evening where they offer you something or even an apology but they did nothing unfortunately. I will say our service was very good, but everything about the food was awful. I think it was the worst Salmon I've ever had in my life. It tasted charred and freezer burnt, and it was so dry I had a hard time chewing it. The worst part was how long the bad taste lingered after we left. My significant other also had an awful meal. The ribs were flavorless and so dry they were hard to eat without lathering in sauce. The so called pork belly was literally just lard with no actual meat attached. The sides were also very bland and the only thing minutely good was the sausage. We both left saying we couldn't remember leaving a restaurant thinking the meal was that bad before. I'm assuming things have gone down hill over the past few years since I saw the stickers on the door of awards back in 2017. We will not be returning. read more
