I used a credit card so there was a small transaction fee, but next time can use a debit card/Venmo/PayPal instead to avoid that. Overall happy with how it turned out! Vibe was also nice--really appreciated the complimentary champagne and love how close it is to the beach and park. Annie did my manicure and Helen did my pedicure--would recommend them both! I have sensitive nail beds and other than my left big toe, it was pretty painless. Planning to come back with friends or family next time! Don't go to Bliss Nails. I've been loyal for years, but bad experiences really teach you about a place, and this one should be avoided. Here's why: I've been a loyal customer at Bliss Nail Lounge for almost three years. I maintain an account with them, have been steadily building and saving my points for something special, and have always booked my appointments online. Every single time I select the options for manicure, pedicure, Gel-X, nail design, and refills as needed. When I arrive, they ask what I'd like, I hand over my reference photo, and it's never been an issue, no additional instructions, no problems. Today I went in for a refill on the third consecutive set I've gotten with them. They asked if I wanted to refill or restart. I specifically asked if restarting would take longer, and they told me no, so I agreed. I had once again booked online with everything I was seeking and provided my reference photo upon arrival. They confirmed it could be done, and we started with the mani-pedi. As we got further into the set, I started to dislike the artwork more and more. This was already two hours in, what should have been about an hour if the nail tech had been honest about restarting not taking any additional time. It added a whole extra hour to the process. I had a flight later that day and didn't expect to be there nearly as long as they kept me. Once the tech was deep into the artwork (two or so hours in), there was no going back. I'm not the best with confrontation, especially after watching him spend all that time and effort on them. My boyfriend ended up calling the store because I wasn't sure how to approach it. This was after I told them I had to leave within half an hour or so, which would have made my total time there over three hours. They removed the artwork, and we agreed to do a French tip instead. Another worker came over so I had one person on each hand to try and get me out in a timely manner. But even knowing I was upset, they rushed the work. The nails aren't on straight, they over-filed one whole hand, the nails aren't even, and the painting isn't lined up properly for an even French coat. I'm providing photos with this review, but they honestly don't capture the true details of how bad and poorly worked on they are. Normally when I get my sets done there, the whole store staff checks in on the work because it's being done well and looks nice. This time, they were fully aware of what was happening and I was basically avoided. The day before my appointment, I received a text from the store offering 10% off a $200 set if I paid in cash. At the end, the clerk said he would give me a complimentary 15% off, which made little difference. I paid in cash anyway and tipped the three workers (one for the pedi and two for the manicure) more than I typically do because of all the extra time it took. While they were changing the set, they told me that if I want major artwork, I need to send the reference photo before coming in. In three years of doing this exact process, they have never asked that of me or said it was required. You'd think selecting the nail design option when booking the appointment would let them prepare. The clerk gave me his personal number to text reference photos to ahead of time. I wasn't fully aware of how bad the nails looked until after I left and had time to calm down. My boyfriend called the store again once I got home and asked to speak to the manager. The clerk said the manager wasn't there. After explaining the situation and saying he needed to speak to someone in charge, the clerk suddenly said he was the owner. My boyfriend pointed out the switch, and he just replied, "Yes, I switched now." They went back and forth, with my boyfriend trying to get some kind of compensation or apology for how the entire day went. The owner hung up on him. He called back, had another short conversation, and was hung up on again. My boyfriend then messaged the owner's personal number to discuss it further because that is no way to treat loyal customers. The conversation went on for some time but ended with no resolution, instead, the owner said I am no longer allowed in their store for their services. After almost three years of consistent business, this experience left me feeling stressed, disrespected, and completely undervalued, especially right before a flight. The dishonesty about timing, the poor rushed quality, the avoidance by staff, and the utterly unprofessional handling afterward are unacceptable. I am beyond disappointed and hurt. I will not be returning and cannot recommend Bliss Nail Lounge to anyone. Loyal customers deserve so much better. read more

THE FRONT MANAGER PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED ME. Let me preface this by stating have come here on a few occasions with NO incidents. This evening around 5:30pm I came in for a manicure/pedicure and it was 4 men who were all servicing. They were a running a bit behind and I had no issues with it. When my service about complete, I noticed my French tip manicure and "the white" on the tips wasn't quite what I wanted. I politely asked the nail technician if he could add a bit more white. Instead of addressing the request, he scolded me, asking why I hadn't said something sooner, and then abruptly told me I should go find another salon because he was leaving and would no longer help me. He walked away and left me with the front desk 'manager,' who then told me, 'You're lucky it was him, because if it were me, I would have told you a lot worse.' I was shocked by how unprofessional and hostile the response was to a simple request." I asked him if this is how he treats all his customers; and he said "just pay, and get the hell out." I paid in full, because I did not want any issues but as I was explaining to him how rude and disrespectful he was being he then proceeded to scream and push his body and himself towards me to exit, he finally holds the door open and pushes me out physically with his right arm while holding the door with his left. I have it all on video. I called the HBPD to file this incident and will make sure this DOES NOT happen to another patron. A man that physically assaults a woman who is only asking for completed service -that intends to pay - is absolutely inexcusable. I intended to hold this person accountable. To answer your statement- I never exited and re-entered. I was in the store the entire time and had to record you due to the fact that you became verbally aggressive and began to taunt and cuss at me. You closed shop and fled the scene when police arrived. No worries. All evidence has been given to HBPD. UPDATE- This person has gone out of their way and has filed a "restraining order" against me for THESE POSTS. Please BE CAREFUL PATRONS, HE CAN DO THE SAME TO YOU!!!!!!!! This person was the one who fled the scene when police arrived. Why didn't he make his claims when police were searching for him? The transcripts have been printed and now he is purposely wasting tax payer money as a personal vendetta against me for making a TRUE CLAIM here on a public forum that is considered FREE SPEECH. Please note, if this man feels you will leave a bad review he will go to website, have your review taken down or even better, file a restraining order against you so that you can waste taxpayers money and show up to court on your dime. I thought...'well I can live with one chip', but by day three, it looked like a three week old manicure. I went back in and was told I would have to pay for another manicure. I've been to this salon before and had good experiences, which is why this visit was so disappointing. Before starting, I specifically asked the store manager if one of his nail techs could do black jelly polish with spaced black dots. He confirmed yes, and assigned me to a tech named Tim. I showed a reference photo and clearly explained the number of dots, spacing, and that I wanted all dots to be the same size. From the moment I gave feedback on the nail shape, Tim started giving me noticeable attitude. He began with the pinky and immediately did the wrong number of dots. When I calmly corrected him, he responded defensively and with attitude rather than professionalism. On the second attempt, the dots were all different sizes and still unevenly spaced. When I asked again for him to follow the reference photo, he said, "I can't do it the way you want it, so I'm not going to do it," and then just sat there staring at me. I was left feeling extremely uncomfortable. After waiting an additional 15 minutes, another tech tried and also could not execute evenly spaced, same-size dots. I completely understand that not every nail tech can do nail art, which is exactly why I asked the manager before we started. What made this worse was that the store manager sat there just a few feet away and said nothing, did nothing to address the situation. Didn't even look at me all the while Tim aggressively stared into my eyes. Clearly he was done and wanted to go home for the day. Tim even commented asking where I had previously gotten dots done and suggested I should "just go back there," which was unnecessary and unprofessional. This was hands down the worst nail salon experience I've had, not because of the mistake but because of the attitude, lack of accountability, and management doing nothing. Sadly I won't be returning after this experience. I left this appointment wanting to cry. If you're coming here for nail art, I would strongly caution against it unless you're okay with it being done incorrectly or receiving attitude when giving feedback. Hopefully others have a better experience than I did especially with nail art. Also to note - "high end" nail polish such as jelly polish or Chaun Legend polish they will charge and additional $10-$15 on top of the service. read more

first of all I've been coming here for a min idk what's wrong w who ever answered the phone telling me they can't work on other work from a previous nail shop, which this has never been a problem not only that I would pay the difference. It's not a problem, but the fact that they wanna answer and have an attitude and say that they can't fix it for me. It's crazy to me honestly I don't even know why they called me back just to be rude. Last time I checked a nail shop to fix nails honestly this is my last time ever coming here. I requested no polish for both my manicure and pedicure, ust simple nail care, no gel, no color, no extras. When I told them upfront that I didn't want polish, they informed me they'd still be charging full price, which already felt unreasonable. At checkout, I was stunned to be charged $97 before tip for a basic manicure and regular pedicure with zero polish. No base coat, no top coat, no drying time, and no product, yet I was charged as if I got a full luxury service. When I questioned it politely, the manager was unbelievably rude and condescending, telling me, "That's just what we charge," with a smug attitude and zero willingness to explain or empathize. After this experience, I looked up reviews and realized that almost every negative review mentions the same thing: the rudeness and poor attitude of the owner/manager. Sadly, it seems like this is a pattern and not a one-off. It's completely unfair to charge full price for a reduced service, especially without any transparency or posted pricing. I've been getting Gel-X nails for over 4 years and have never had a single one break--until I got them done here. Within just a week and a half, two nails completely popped off while I was out of town. I had just spent over $180 on a new set and a gel pedicure, so I returned hoping they would fix the issue--especially since it was clearly a flaw in the application. To my surprise, they told me I'd have to pay to repair the broken nails. I explained that this had never happened before, that I was a loyal customer who referred friends and had spent hundreds (eventually thousands) over time--$100+ a month on manicures alone. I asked politely if they could work with me, but they stood firm on their 1 week policy. The front desk guy was shockingly rude. When I told him I was disappointed and wouldn't be returning, he snapped at me with, "You don't need to tell me about your departure." Really? That's how you treat someone who's been supporting your business? They'll bend over backwards to offer drinks and create a "luxury" vibe, but when it comes to actual customer service and integrity, they completely miss the mark. For a place that charges luxury prices, their unwillingness to make a small repair to keep a loyal customer happy is honestly baffling. I would've continued coming back for years--spending well over $1,200 a year and sending more clients their way--but all of that is gone over a $20 repair. Tried it and was super clear that I wanted my gel nail polish to go all the way to the cuticle. Already today you can see my unpainted nails. And I don't like how we are also now pushed for upsells but I ended up going for a $69 pedicure so my total bill was $125 plus tip. Bananas! They also use the Dremel tool to take off your polish, so I'm sure my nails will all be breaking in a week and I asked her NOT to use it. Then she said she wouldn't use the tool and instead just used a smaller sanding tip. WTH. $150! Yeah so not worth it - won't be going back. Bummer. UPDATE- the first pic is my nails today. After ONE week. Totally grown out and like I said weekend where the top layer came off because she insisted on using the Dremel tool and didn't go all the way to my cuticle. I really like this nail lounge. I am very picky when it comes to doing my nails. I've had them done a couple times here before leaving this review. Last Sunday I stopped in very close to their closing time but they still accommodated me. What I like about having my nails done here is they do a very thorough job on my manicure and pedicure. I am meticulous as to how my cuticles are trimmed, how my nails are filed. They did every single nail very evenly. And not to mention I am very scared of the automatic filing tool but my nail tech did a very good job on both my hands and feet when removing my old gel polish. He made it very relaxing. I chose orange for this Autumn season. The gel polish came out all evenly and beautifully for each single nail, and not a single nail has lifted, nor my cuticle has fuzzed. read more

Great job! 4. The place is clean, bright and happy. The seats are big and cushy. They have a very large selection of nail polish. I'm always amazed that there still salons with limited colors. I can understand that, but don't understand why our appt was confirmed if this was the case. Front desk girl said she called us both multiple times, which she only called us each once, then said "I can get you in later today, what time works for you?" we said whenever today works, we're flexible! The best nail salon in SoCal! After 6 months of not getting a manicure or pedicure, I had the best experience ever at this nail salon. I came back because the experience was amazing! The first time, I got a regular French tip and it was impeccable. The second time, a gel manicure. They are consistent, my nails are beautiful and it's true bliss. My nails look great! And I'd give them 5 star for the nails themselves but this rating is based off pricing and advertising one price while charging another .... Unfortunately, this review is for the pricing. I called over the phone and specified full set and was quoted $49 and I get there and they apologize and say $74 and I got the $29 regular pedicure and asked how much Calllas remover was and the employee next to me said $5 extra and so I added that on. I got my bill and they charged me $12 for callas removed and $49 for a pedicure. I just want to say it's super illegal to have a written price on your pamphlet and then to charge a customer another price..... I won't be coming back!
