    Iced Thai Pumpkin Spice Latte
    Jason G.

Got to try the Iced Thai Pumpkin Spice Latte. Its good not great. Plenty sweet which I like but it was very thick like I was drinking egg nogg. Bit pricy that only came in a regular size. The drink needs to be more balanced and lighter. Service friendly.

Great Blk Dot located nestled in between Mendocino Farms and Handel's ice cream at the Tustin Marketplace. The open seating and space in front of the store makes an ideal kid friendly meet-up spot. Came on a Wednesday at 10:30am and it was quit busy with all indoor seating taken. Got the Brekkie Bowl with sausage and Peach Lychee Black Tea, pretty tasty and refreshing.

My first time trying Vietnamese coffee and I loved it. It was rich in flavor and loaded with caffeine... So yes, a good choice if you want to wake up or keep awake for a while. Modern and Cute interior with neutral tones. Bright room with a few seats inside but lots of nice outdoor places to sit right next to the store. The wait was a bit long - definitely longer than the wait time in most major coffee chains ; maybe it's due to their process? I saw a good number of staff working and they all seemed busy so not sure why. But the nice coffee was worth the wait; however, you might need to take that into consideration if you are in a rush.

After Costco, I was craving an iced coffee, so we went to Blk Dot Coffee. I was so happy we did because our drinks were so good. My husband got the Iced Vanilla Maplenut Latte and I got the Oat Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso. The service was great and the young lady who took my order was helpful and friendly. The inside was lively. I wanted to try their Tiramisu Einspanner. Next time.

Mendocino next door spoiled me with top notch customer service. As for Blk Dot- I only got "pick up"? Then staff handed me my drinks and that's it. No hello no bye! I wanted to try Mint Chocolate VTM but it was not as great. I suggest sticking to original VTM coffee. Mint Chocolate was smooth tasting but has too many flavors. I'm glad to see their condense milk does not contain seed oil. I'm impressed with their clean restroom and store was organized. Staff was happily chit chatting among each other on an early Sunday morning but no greetings whatsoever to customer walking in or picking up orders. There are seatings outside but this place gets packed with parking and seating during weekend-Always busy especially around lunch time and big events.

    Kiosk to place drinks

I stopped by BLK Dot Coffee in Irvine and overall had a pretty good experience. BLK Dot Coffee serves Vietnamese iced coffee which I found out here --rich, bold, coffee , though it might be a bit sweet if you're not used to it but you can change the sweetness level!! The menu has some other non coffee options, which is nice if you want to try something beyond a basic latte. The shop itself has a clean, modern vibe, but seating is somewhat limited and it gets busy fast, especially during peak hours. Service was efficient, though not particularly warm--it felt more like a grab-and-go kind of place. We got our drinks, headed outside and sat on the lawn. :)) The merchandise's are cute -- check it out.

Uji Matcha Einspänner and VTM Einspänner
    Han P.

We were out shopping for our little one and decided to stop by for some matcha and coffee. They had a self-order kiosk, but it was down at the time, so we ended up ordering at the counter instead. I got the Uji Matcha Einspänner, which I'd rate about a 6/10. The matcha flavor was definitely there, and I liked that it wasn't overly sweet, but it didn't really wow me. I was hoping for a creamier texture, and while the cream foam was okay, it didn't elevate the drink much. My boyfriend ordered the VTM Einspänner and really enjoyed it. He said it tasted great, though definitely on the sweeter side. We both swapped our milk for oat, and he added cold foam on top, which they initially forgot--but they fixed it once we let them know. We also tried the guava cream cheese danish, but it wasn't our favorite. The filling didn't really hit for me, and the pastry itself wasn't anything special either. Overall, it was an okay stop--some good, some just average.

Stopped by while at Irvine Spectrum and tried their Mango Matcha. You order at a kiosk which can be more efficient but even when I chose easy ice my drink was 3/4 full of ice. So perhaps it would have been best to speak to a person or maybe the staff do not care what modifications are placed and are just grinding out drinks to keep with the pace. Doesn't feel like a coffee shop where you can grab a nice cup of joe and be greeted but more like an order-to-go coffee shop. The matcha had a good flavor despite the mountain of ice that made it difficult for me to mix the mango on the bottom.

    Iced LVTM

Came to this place twice. Got Iced LVTM both times. First time very good taste, good balance of the flavor. Second time extremely sweet to the point feels a little disgusting to drink. Ended up throwing the whole cup away after couple sips.

    Iced Spanish Latte
    Celine V.

I love their iced Spanish latte, very cinnamon. The coffee tastes great, and that's what matters, so thanks for that. Bagel is OK. Ambience is like louder coffee shop with music and people talking catching up vibes. Nice seating to enjoy the weather outside. Located in The Marketplace so there's a lot of parking due to that, Customer service is whatever, at least they work hard; I know what it's like.

We stopped by this place to get a quick drink. My niece needed to do some shopping and we decided to check this spot out. It was fairly busy, quite a few people inside and a couple people in line before us. Ordering was pretty quick. Decor inside was bright and simple. We got 2 drinks: 1. Iced Original Matcha- Culinary grade Uji matcha from Japan with choice of milk. sub half and half instead of milk This drink was pretty good, you definitely could taste the grassiness of the matcha. My niece thought the half and half was too heavy, making it too milky of a drink 3.5/5 2. Iced Yuzu Mango Matcha- Our classic culinary grade mango matcha latte infused with yuzu jam- sub oat milk- We both liked this drink quite a bit more than the ice original Matcha. It had hints of fruitiness with the Yuzu jam. 4.5/5 There were more items on this menu we would have tried. I am curious about their coffee. I can see this place being very popular in the sunny summer days. Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Food: 4/5

I haven't been back to the Blk Dot Coffee in the Tustin Marketplace since they moved to a new space after the plaza's big reconfiguration. The new store feels similar to the old one - high ceilings, an open layout, and a bit more room overall. I usually get their LVTM ($5.95), which is the lighter version of their Vietnamese coffee. It tasted a little too light this time. Maybe it was just a one-off, but if they've changed the recipe, I might need to switch over to the regular VTM for a stronger flavor. I do love how easy it is to order online through their website and parking is pretty easy here. Overall, it's a nice spot to relax and enjoy your coffee.

    Leeza D.

I wanted to explore the newly built area at Marketplace. BLK is known for their Vietnamese coffee, which I like to call "crack coffee". It's strong and creamy and sweet and addictive. I, unfortunately, cannot handle sweet very well so I opted for the hot latte on this beautiful December afternoon just before Xmas. It has a nice and dark profile. Great latte. Lots of lounging area in and outside and plenty of parking everywhere. Please come and create your own adventure.

    Is outdoor seating still available?

Yes. There are plenty of seats and tables.

Do they allow in door seating?

No indoor seating, but there's outdoor seating at that location.

Does anybody know the caffeine content in their decaf iced coffee? I loved it and it tasted pretty strong so it kind of got me thinking lol?

The strength of the flavor of coffee does not indicate caffeine content. Though I'm not sure the exact amount of caffeine left in their decaf, it is very little by the standard used to determine decaf drinks.

Does this place allow dogs on the inside, outside, or both? How clean are floors inside & outside? Thank ;)

The place is very clean but like any place that serves food, you cannot have your dog inside; it's the law. There's plenty of outside seating where dogs are allowed that's shared with the other eateries though.

As you enter, greetings from staff echo from the counter. Do you check out the shop or grab a drink and browse? Whatever you do, do not skip the banana cold foam on your drink if you love banana! The hospitality here is evident the moment you walk in. Staff were ready to take our order, answer questions and even checked to see if our drinks were to our liking. Think fashionable design meets European charm for the interior atmosphere, right down to the plates. Morning Lavender offers table seating as well as booths and can accommodate large parties for events. Now for the good stuff- let's talk an Iced Mocha with extra chocolate and an Iced Chai Tea Latte with Banana Cream Foam. The Mocha with extra chocolate was indulgent and velvety with the espresso seamlessly intertwined. A decadent treat to enjoy as the morning started to warm up into the afternoon. Just a suggestion for those who enjoy the richer side of coffee and espresso. A dash of a bit more cream would've added that refined richness. The star of the morning was definitely the Iced Chia Tea Latte with Banana Cream Foam. The description of cold cream hardly captures and embodies what this Banana Cold Foam really is. Think lusciously thick banana smoothie topping off your drink. Impossibly creamy and bursting with ripe banana. Crowning the drink sat a slice of banana bathed on one side in a caramelized sauce similar to crème brûlée. Crunchy peanuts generously scattered on top, making an irresistible contrast in texture. This drink was truly an exceptional culinary experience. I will be back again and again for the Banana Cold Foam.

Rumi was wonderful with the kids, the snacks were cute (albeit pretty limited for the price--a small tea sandwich, a small cupcake, some cinnamon goldfish), they had a little dance session, and then did photos. Overall a cute experience for the kids. That said, I got a lavender latte and it was difficult to finish. The foam was like a salted caramel, which clashed with the lavender's liquid portion of the drink. There were a lot of lavender petals on top, which looked nice, but were bitter to taste. The latte portion actually tasted ok after I grabbed a straw so that I could drink it without the foam, but the foam and toppings just really threw the drink off. For $7, I expect harmonious flavors as well as an aesthetic look. I'd definitely bring my kid back for another Tots event, but I'd not get the lavender latte again.

I always buy an oatmilk latte here, and the coffee taste is deep and aromatic. Definitely one of the best in Orange County for the pure quality of its coffee. For Orange County, the location has a nice community vibe. Eclectic mix of tables, but there aren't always enough of them, so it always seems packed. Staff are always extremely nice. Appreciating the history, great coffee, and community feel is one thing, but you should know in advance that they do not offer wifi here. That is my only complaint and the only reason this gets a 5 and not a 4 star. I suppose if they want to maintain a certain vibe they don't want people working there, but I would be happy even with a one-hour time limit on wifi usage.
