The customer service was good... the sausage bamni was okay, kind of basic... Vtm coffee was good, so this is what I'd recommend. During covid 19... there is this one issue that bothers me... Most people are tipping more... I tipped $1 in change and at another place in laguna... They didn't ask and just put my change in their tip jar...? That's not here but I asked for some extra milk on the side I said any extra milk even just 2 ounces would be good... Sadly what turn my overall normal impression of the place to a slightly negative one is... I literally got a 1-2 oz dressing container of milk.... Covid 19 is not going to last for ever but the way so many business are restricting milk and expecting tips. Costumers are trying to meet the tipping expectations but I won't forget these expectations business have for more from their customers. read more

People here are all very beautiful and super friendly both times i have been there but the coffee doesn't match the quality of these nice people (in my own opinion) 1st experience. Got 2 double sm americanas and they somehow both managed to resemble more water than espresso. Gave it another shot min ago Got a Vietnamese coffee (their "VTM").... Ive had copious amounts of these from various places. My mouth was turned inside out for how rediculosly sweet it was. None of the rich, silky caffeinated milky mixture of a Vietnamese coffee was represented. You might as well take a whole bottle of Torani Hazelnut syrup and put it over iced milk.... We did get a Spanish latte (cinnimon latte) which was mellow and a coffee flavor was present. read more

Fairly new location for BLKdot here at Irvine Spectrum. While the business is pretty split up due to many other coffee options here (Starbucks, Coffee Bean or even 85 next door), it still gets consistent customers due to their bomb coffee drinks. This place was awesome! Staff was super friendly, made great suggestions and wears masks for Covid precautions and requires patrons to wear them as well. I've never tried Vietnamese coffee before. The barista made an excellent suggestion to try the hot VTM. I got it half the sweetness which was perfect! It was was delicious and honestly some of the best coffee I've ever had. It was smooth, with a bold sweet flavor. I also got the pink lychee lemonade! This was SOO GOOD! They give a big straw because there's chunks of lychee to slurp up in the bottom of the cup. My friend and I also shared the Mexi avocado toast and the kickin tuna (this was the only thing I got that was meh so so). The Mexi toast was delicious! I tried giving this location a try last weekend. My go to location is the Spectrum one but I was in Laguna Beach and thought I'd try this location out. Although the staff were just as friendly as the spectrum location, I was very disappointed in the quality of their drinks. My boyfriend and I ordered our regular- 16 oz. Vietnamese iced coffee. This location takes the "iced" part very seriously to the point where they put so much ice you can't even place your straw into the drink. Also, both of our drinks were only filled up 3/4th of the way with coffee. Not only were we served a cup of ice with a splash of coffee, they didn't even serve the proper amount of coffee like the location does. Unfortunately, the location of this coffee shop is great but their quality of drinks is subpar to the other location close by. read more

Eager to try this little hot spot, I knew exactly what I wanted a Sea Salt Vietnamese Latte. It was mesmerizing. This drink is like a caffeine version of a Long Island iced tea, the stimulant catches up to you and it's too late to turn back! Excited for the food but disappointed in the attitude of the associates. They immediately yelled at me when I walked in the shop asking if my dog was a service dog. She is, and it was obnoxious and embarrassing. Then my friend asked if there was a double shot in the drink she ordered and had to ask twice, the second time being met with attitude and a rude look. While I was visiting I only visited this coffee shop since they were open early. They're coffee was amazing, I tried the sea salt latte, Spanish latte, and mocha. The Spanish latte was the best of the three. It was a clean environment and the staff did as expected, greeted me and made amazing coffee. Masks are required to enter, no seating available inside due to COVID restrictions. I will be visiting again in the future. read more

I wonder if Laguna Beach people knows what a good cup of coffee taste like? They have Zink and Laguna Coffee Co. why they go here??? I usually try Cafe Latte before I try their regular coffee. It was not good. Espresso for my latte was burned to the point I couldn't even finish and my daughter's vietnamese iced coffee was extremely sweet even for VIC. We had to add my latte to my daughter's VIC to have one decent drink out of two failed products. Even they give me their drink for free I don't think I will take it.... Everything else: -Space was very clean. Limited seating inside but has enough seating outside just like every place in Laguna. Their one and the only bathroom is big and clean but no changing table for a baby. They have a couch so you may be able to use that. -Food was where they earned 2 stars. Although food review for this place is very irregular quiche and vietnamese sandwich we had were both pretty good. If they can make their drink half as good as their food .... Some people go there just because they have parking space. If that's what you want this is the place for you. For everybody else, there's Zinc. I come here every once in a while when I am in Laguna Beach and I need my espresso pick me up. There is ample parking which is hard to come by in this city and it is located in a decent shopping center. The coffee itself is pretty tasty, I prefer the White Chocolate Iced Coffee or the Iced Caramel Macchiato. Both are delicious and are worth trying. The coffee strength is pretty good as well, I was happy with it. It's price is fair in comparison to the area and other similar concepts. There is a good amount of seating space. The staff is friendly. There is free WiFi, and the restroom is well kept. Overall, this place is a good find and worth checking out! read more

I actually thought it got better as it sat a bit and the flavors really swirled together. I'm usually a plain iced coffee, once cream girl but this treat was a great change up. This coffee snob normally detests Asian coffee as I find it to be too earthy. BUT this cup of sunshine was anything but! Perfectly roasted unlike the burnt ish you will find across the street at that national brand. The light Vietnamese or the second coffee listed using soy was my go to on this lil get away weekend. My first time at a BLKdot Coffee and it's the one in Laguna Beach!!! What a great way to spend the weekend by grabbing a nice cold Iced VTM (Vietnamese Coffee) near the beach! They have a nice and cool, spacious sitting area inside or you can sit outside as well for fresh air, access to free wifi, and most importantly friendly customer service!! One drink they don't have compared to the other locations is the iced milk mojito coffee but overall, a great experience! read more

Visited Laguna Beach for a mini vacation. This place has the best baked goods plus our vanilla latte with oat milk was terrific. If you are close by for breakfast you will not be disappointed.
