This my third visit to BLT Prime; however, it is my first time with a well deserved review. i admire the order and the flow of the staffs execution even when BLT it's in its maximum capacity. The optimistic and experienced recommendations from the manager were on point. Even thought BLT was full, our meal was serve in a timely manner. The well cook steak, the cheese cake, the friendly Hispanic manager and the prompt attention from our sever made it a wonderful experience. A++ read more

For being an "steak-house" the meat quality is not even close to what you should expect for a place like this. Service was good.

We had dinner at BLT in Doral for New Years Eve, first they didn't mention fixed menu at $275 per person. They put in a booth and later asked us to move for one of their "esteem customers" considering how empty the restaurant was every person should be treated the same, with only the best service. The food was not good, the chef continued to walk around the dining room hoping to hear how great his cooking is. I would not eat there or ever recommended to anyone. BLT Prime has a limited menu for lunch but many options for dinner. Meat is first and foremost on the menu and without question it is of high quality. However, the delivery of their exceptional product falls short of expectations. We were initially rushed to order on a night where it was not crowded. The waiter seemed confused as to simple instructions for the opening of two wine bottles. He also copped an attitude when finally grasping our need for the simple task to be completed. (A task I requested 15 minutes earlier) Obviously, one bad waiter does not mean that the entire staff is terrible or that the restaurant is doomed but I can only report what I experienced. Your mileage may vary. Now about the food...I ordered a $24 Shrimp cocktail that was very underwhelming because the cocktail sauce it came with was tangy and lacked any heat or hint of horseradish and tasted like it came from a bottle. I would expect more from such a popular appetizer. I went on to order the double rack of lamb with mint chimichurri sauce. The sauce, or paste in this case tasted bland and was mint free. It consisted of an herb recipe more suited for chicken, not lamb. The lamb itself was fatty and not trimmed. I wonder if they ever taste the sauces they use or if they just use bottled. When asked by the waiter how everything was, our comments prompted a visit from the manager who tried to explain why we were wrong about everything. Hmmm. Now, a manager who questions a customer's opinion instead of offering to help can be problematic for a restaurant, so maybe BLT is doomed after all. read more

They had some nice healthy options but for $28 and and auto 18% gratuity charge, the service was bad. The food was kept well stocked and warm but i am not sure the cost really equated to the value and quality. read more

The food is incredible! From appetizer to main course to dessert! Oh my! I have been to a number of NYC steakhouses but had to come all the way to Miami to have the most delicious steak dinner! Went here for my birthday with girlfriend and daughter.. Had an awesome time. BLT never disappoints me. I've been to NY and now here. The Jenny Martini that Sara offered me was great. The bar, the view and the cocktails are exquisite perfect. The atmosphere is great, the people very friendly. Ask for Esteban and you will be at home. I have been to this place twice and the food was good, the last time I was there the waitress told us that the breakfast and brunch was good and didn't need reservations because it was always empty so today we decided to go have breakfast and arrived at ten in the morning. I approach the hostess an said I needed a table for three an had no reservations she asked from what room I was coming from I said I wasn't staying there she said the wait was half an hour it wasn't the wait that bothered me it was the way she said it in snooty way I gave her my name and waited there were empty tables and not a lot of people fifteen minutes had past and she called some name that sounded like mine and I went to ask and she responded with an attitude I told you half an hour so I left. What bothers me is I'm paying for the food I'm not asking it for free and besides that you have to pay for parking which is ten dollars . I voted for the man because he is a good businessman and good president but they are lousy at hiring personnel, won't be going to this place anymore! service sucks the big one. read more

A friend brought me here for my birthday, and it was absolutely amazing. Our table was served by Klavin & Jessica. The service was so attentive and the employees were very knowledgable. Really wanted to like it. No way, unless I'm staying at the hotel. Menu looks outstanding, but the execution fell short. Train the chef and bartender. Lots of better places for locals. The bacon appetizer was in a pool of butter. Who does that to good bacon? And the mint was substituted for parsley. Steak tartar had no flavor. Oysters were ok. Short ribs were really good. The "American" Wagyu was nice but not worth the $94 price. The filet mignon was over cooked. Sides were ok. Dessert was ok and drinks mediocre. Won't come back. Went recently for Miami Spice. Everything Anna, our server, recommended was delicious. My favorite thing off the menu was the passion fruit dessert. The cucumber cocktail was also very refreshing. The food was good, but Anna definitely made a difference for us ! Amazing service. read more

I have been here several times the last couple months. The service has been great and the food is delicious, the bone in ribeye is amazing and the filet is also great. It's is on the "overpriced" end compared to other places but it is in the trump and it has a great view of the golf course. read more

This has got to be the best secret in Miami restaurants. My wife and I wanted to try a new place for hopefully a great steak dinner, and we weren't disappointed. The menu has something for everyone, including steaks, appetizers, steaks, Kobe beef, seafood. We wanted to sample the Miami Spice menu that we try every year, this year was exceptional. The attention to detail at BLT Prime was above any best expectations, the Rib Eye steaks we ordered was by far the very best we've had both local or otherwise. The bread was something special. In summary, the entire meal was simply spectacular. Best of all, the service was above all expectations. We just can't wait to come back to BLT Prime for yet another excellent meal. The food, drinks, service and property are outstanding!!! I've been to BLT before in different locations, this one is top notch. When I first heard it was in Miami, I assumed it was located on south beach, but it's not. It is on a gorgeous property, which over looks the golf course. I've been several times now. The food is always delicious, the service is great, and the drinks are tasty. They even carry locally made and sourced quality brands, I had 305 vodka, which was delicious. Great dining with a great view. Can't beat it. I highly recommend the bacon (yum). read more

I only posted 4 stars due to most 5 stars don't post. Great view of the blue monster golf coarse. Order the cowboy and the hen of the woods fantastic. Jason the GM I think so, is extremely nice and makes sure you are very happy and always remembers your name. The server was very attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu and wines, he also got the chef to come out and visit us. The chef was very nice and walked us through the menu, he treated us like a vip because of him and the food we will be back for sure. Thanks BLT your are new spot for sure read more

This place needs to be extracted from Trump! From the minute I walked in, hostess was fully engrossed in her Instagram. I gave it a pass, thinking perhaps it was hit bad timing. Unfortunately, when I got up to ask for a manager 1/2 thru my meal out of pure frustration, she was still on Instagram! This is clearly an example of zero management and leadership. I ordered a salad which said it had Frisée lettuce, the entire thing was gross, cheap, low quality iceberg lettuce. My kid had a kid's steak. It came out covered in black pepper and extremely rare. I also had mother shrimp entree, it came out cold. I could go on and on with all the issues we had with our experience. Low and behold, the manager comped the entire bill. That was a very nice gesture; I still think this BLT needs immediate attention. To be in the lobby of Trump National Doral, you should be good. To have the BLT name, you should be good. read more

Absolutely terrible. We waited over an hour and half for our food just to have our steaks come out room temperature and already cut open to check for right level of being cooked. Some of the sides had to be sent back because they were not even room temperature. We decided to see if dessert would be better...wrong again. We waited another 30 minutes for our desserts. We went to talk with manager and told him about our experience. When our checks came the cold sides were still on the bill and charged for the more expensive ones rather than the ones we got. Our bill was over $200 and the service and food was worth about $25. I would have rather eaten at Denny's. read more

Where do I begin, service was the worst Ever, food was mediocre and even the bread was bad! Just beware! Mr. TRUMP, if you read this review, we are avid diners and go to only the best restaurants in Miami and this restaurant was nothing but mediocre especially for the cost! Again, service? Just terrible... And the food, nothing to rave about since the food is nothing but ordinary. You get better meat in the average Ruth Chris. I feel so appauled at this place! The hotel and restaurant are truly lovely, with the sunset view of the golf particularly memorable. Unfortunately, the food was good, but nothing spectacular. The bone-in ribeye ($51) was cooked medium-rare as requested, but was still a bit tougher than it should have been. I still do not understand why quality steak is so erratic in Florida, and this one thing that Texas definitely does better. On the other hand, restaurants in South Florida do one better than anywhere else...serve the tastiest of local fish. BLT Prime highlights one of my biggest pet peeves in Florida...not serving LOCAL fish. The fist selection was nice...Dover sole ($50), Ahi tuna, trout, bronzino ($30); but hey, we live in a place with an abundance of sea life. If the Fontainebleau can have a commercial fishing boat to provide it with fish on a daily basis, I believe this hotel, a the very least, could source a local fishmonger to provide the freshest of fish. Overall, the service was excellent, and the views were great. I'd certainly recommend a drink and some appetizers while overlooking the golf course as a great way to spend an evening in Doral. read more

I have been to BLT Steak at the Betsy Ross a few times and both service and food has been very good. Not wanting to drive to the beach decided to give BLT Prime a try. Group of 8 for a family dinner. Let's start with service horrible. The waiter kept disappearing. I named him Houdini. Our water glasses emptied and no one refilled until we asked.The wait for drinks, appetizer then meal has huge gaps in between. Finally when they refilled the water it was dirty & cloudy. Had to ask for new water. We never were asked if we wanted more drinks at $16+ a drink you figure they'd want to sell. When the dinner finally came out My daughter ordered her $94.00 porterhouse MED they gave it to her MED RARE. She questioned it & he looked at her and lied said it was MED. Did he really think she was an idiot that doesn't know meat? The side steak sauces not good at all. Asked for regular A-1 steak sauce the waiter looked confused and never came back with it. The lobster was good cooked well but not 2lbs like in menu that was about 1-1 1/4. The food was very good not superb. The $12-14 sides that normally are shareable not here they are tiny & pathetic looking next to the main plate. We ordered 3 desserts they were good not spectacular; the banana ice cream was memorable. When it comes to food I do not cut back I splurge for good food. BLT is past its Prime. Let's start with the service -- slow. But I could look past that if the food was worth the high prices. We started with the crab cake and the shrimp cocktail. Neither was worth it. The crab cake was mostly breading and jalapeño peppers. The peppers were nowhere in the description on the menu and completely overwhelmed what crab there was. The shrimp cocktail had exactly four shrimp at a cost of $24 with a mediocre cocktail sauce. No shrimp is worth $6. The rack of lamb was more fat than meat. Finally, the Meyer Lemon cheesecake was dull. When I pointed out that Meyer Lemons were out of season, I was told the chef used frozen juice and purée. Really? When these issues were discussed with the manager, Sergio, his attitude was that we were the problem. We will not be returning to BLT. Someone in the Trump organization needs to take a long look at the restaurant operation. read more

Went with friends to BLT for brunch the other day. A few things were noticeable. First, the place was empty. We stayed for about an hour and there were about 15-20 other patrons during that time. Second, the buffet was underwhelming. Essentially is it a $28 omelette and sausage meal. The buffet had stale Waffles, tasteless chicken sausage, greasy bacon, some pastries that probably came from a box, below average quality fruit and bread/bagels. Finally the service was wonderful. I drove down here for lunch last week to meet with friends from out of town. The three people I was with really like this place and often eat here when in town. This was my first time, and I have to say that I was disappointed (with the food, not the company). The overall quality of the food was just so so (I tasted several others food as well). Overall I expect quality/taste to match the price, and here food just is not a good value. If you like diner food (which I generally do) you likely won't be disappointed, but I was because of the prices. I am very picky about steaks, and while cooked correctly, mine was tough. If I lived closer, I might come back, but would never make the drive from Fort Lauderdale again for food I can get most anywhere closer to home. Two week ago while on vacation in the Miami area we visited BLT prime for cocktails. We were suprised at best that the restaurant was almost empty but none the less we were greeted by a great bar tender who crafted three cocktails for us. The ladies each ordered mojitos which they reported to be good but subpar to Larios in South Beach. I had a Bullet Manhattan and it was good but no comparison to the sublime Bullet Manhattan's crafted at 9 Maple in Saratoga Springs NY. The bill was $75.00. I don't mind paying for excellence but this was not worth $75. The following evening we dined at the restaurant with friends and I'll just say that nearly $500 later for 5 people our experience was not at all good. I am a strong supporter of The Donald and I'm certain that if he had the experience that we had all he would have to say is " you're all fired"! Enough said. As far as the rest of the place is concerned, God wishes he could have such good treatment. We were guests at Marriott Vacation Club across the street and found it wonderful to be able to enjoy this beautiful resort. Hope they work on the restaurant experience because we will come back and it needs serious improvement. read more
