It's a little tough to get a reservation but it's always worth the hassle. I had the roasted chicken and they were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions (no pork/ no beef). Service was friendly and the atmosphere of course was remarkable. Two members of my family had the ribeye and they said they would get it again. We also shared the artisanal bread and crescent city salad. Definitely worth the splurge! Food was too good to take a photo of, whoops. read more

The service was fantastic. Very attentive and good recommendations. The menu for lunch didn't have as much variety as I would've liked, but it was still good. Everything food wise was delicious. The Blue Bayou used to be a true gem in Disneyland. While much of what made it that way remains (the core ambiance), some changes have made it less desirable to fight to get a reservation and pay the prices there compared to other options in the park. We love the atmosphere, the "outside at night" feeling you get when it can be daytime and you are clearly inside. The food isn't terrible, it's good. There are two qualms we had that make us less likely to want to return: 1. They have packed so, so many more tables into that space than they had in the past. It used to feel more intimate. When we were sat at our table, we felt like a Lego piece being placed -- other families were millimeters away. I was thinking back to times I was there 25+ years ago, and I genuinely believe they have corporatized that space to the max, places as many tables as humanly possible to keep up with demand. 2. The food isn't quite the same, either. They used to serve a very good jambalaya. The menu wasn't very interesting to us, and the food was good, but not great. The vegan pasta was pretty bland, and the chicken entree wasn't much to enjoy, either. The kids chicken strips were the same frozen in a bag variety you'd get elsewhere in the park. Nice restaurants hand-bread them. When we're at a top restaurant at Disneyland, it should be great. It feels like they've cracked the code on maximizing profit in that space, but the experience diminishes. read more

Such a fun experience to finally try Blue Bayou! Honestly, considering how hard it is to get a res, the experience of being inside the ride scene at Disneyland is pretty cool. Everything was good food-wise, but the drinks were a huge miss. The Blueberry cocktail at $19 was the worst tasting artificial syrup and popping boba style toppings i've ever seen. I love anything blueberry flavored but this sucked. Luckily the service was great. The 70th celebration pre fixe included Ribeye and Prawns, very tasty but only 2 prawns included felt cheap. Love this restaurant!! They are definitely not easy to get into so we made reservations way ahead of time and I was delighted! It had been a long time since I had dined there so the menu changed and has their French New Orleans themed cuisine! The food: eeeeveryone was talking about the monte cristo sandwhich so when I finally tried it, it did not disappoint! It was turkey, ham, Swiss cheese into this crunchy deep fried outside and you can dip in their blackberry sauce. It compliments the sandwich VERY well and very deliciously. For dessert we had the cheesecake that was very very good! It was the perfect amount of sweet and tart! The atmosphere? 1,000,000/10 that's a giant portion of the reason we come here right? How fun it is to be IN the pirates of the Caribbean ride while dining there! I swear I could hang out there all day there's something about the smell of pirates of the Caribbean water that I love lol Service was immaculate, very professional but with a smile and that is just disney for you always going out of there way to make you feel special. Doing a little pub crawl for apps and drinks. Got the last walk! Always go up and ask. Don't just look at the app and think there are no tables. So we were here for apps and drinks so got the gumbo and crab cakes. Gumbo. Deep rich flavor. This is their thing so get some. Crab cakes were fresh and tasty. A cool place to get out of the heat but can be hard to get into. We actually took a chance and walked up and got the last walk up table! Overall the food was pretty good. You MUST make reservations to Blue Bayou weeks in advance, if possible. Of course, you might find a spot a day before if people cancel their reservations. We had the gumbo (large size), crab cakes, and the pasta and they were all delicious. FYI the large gumbo is off-menu and we didn't know about it until we saw a plate of it for an adjacent table. Crab cakes were chock full of crab, no filler. Onto the pasta, the sauce was really delicious, and with a little explosion of sweetness brought on by the teardrop peppers. The restaurant does not have a full service bar, however they do have pre-mixed cocktails. I had their version of an espresso martini and enjoyed it. read more

Was finally able to try the restaurant you stare at every time you launch into Pirates of the Caribbean: Blue Bayou inside Disneyland Park. The setting is undeniably cool - a faux moonlit backyard patio along the water with boats drifting by - and it usually takes a reservation if you actually want to eat at a decent time. We lucked out with a Sunday night walk‑in, but by the end of the meal I couldn't shake the feeling we might have eaten better (and cheaper) outside the park. We were celebrating our son's birthday, and while the acknowledgment was nice, they still charged for his ice cream, which felt pretty disappointing given the occasion and price point. What we ordered: * Prime Rib Dinner - Around $58 for a plate that tasted more salty than special. The sauce was overly salty, the portion felt small for the price, and both the mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies were heavy on the salt too. * Market Fish of the Day - Steelhead over flavored rice. This was the standout: good portion, cooked just right with a moist interior and a crisp exterior, and overall not too heavy. * Kids' Meal - Chocolate milk with whole grain pasta in tomato sauce. "Seasonal veggies" were just broccoli, and "seasonal fruit" was a single mandarin. Really? The mashed potatoes were the best part here: creamy and seasoned just right. With how expensive a Disneyland visit has become overall, this meal ended up feeling underwhelming for the cost and hype. Pro tip: call at exactly 6am PST the month before your desired visit. I've also seen people get same day reservations if there's availability and you're willing to wait. The staff are always so kind and especially attentive as a Disneyland resort restaurant. Being immersed in the ride makes for a romantic, river boat feel that takes visitors to a new little world inside the park. I'd especially recommend a visit for the 70th anniversary prix fixe meal. $89 for a three course meal that was delicious and very filling for a busy day at the park. The meal includes a hearty salad of baby greens, artichoke hearts, heirloom tomatoes, croutons, and cucumbers with a zesty lemon-ranch dressing. The entree is a delicious Ribeye Steak with shrimp with a rich garlic butter. For dessert, a very shareable chocolate pistachio cheesecake. It was a the perfect ratio of chocolate to the nutty, crunchy texture of the pistachio cream. Don't get me wrong, for the chicken being white meat, it was not dry at all. Nice flavors. Shrimp were de-tailed which I love. Great spices. The sausage was thinly cut. However, the creole sauce was more like a tomato sauce and the portions were on the smaller size even for Disney standards. Service was frequent and kind. Dining at Blue Bayou is always a memorable experience, especially with its unique setting alongside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, you can see guests drifting by while you enjoy your meal, which really adds to the ambiance. When you are on the privates of the Caribbean and ride and you look over and see people eating - well this is the restaurant! Of course I had to try the gumbo. Also tried the artesian bread because the hostess said it was good. For the main dish I got the roasted chicken. I did not have any expectation, but I did not think that it would be super good for some reason. The gumbo was delicious! The bread was delicious! The roasted chicken came with a side of creole rice with creole sauce- also delicious!!! Everything we ordered was delicious. The staff was very nice especially our waiter, Caleb. It is dark in here, regardless of what time of day it is. A great location to pull off or just take a break from the day. Once again, you need to make reservations about 60 days in advance. Dining at Blue Bayou Restaurant has honestly been a childhood dream of mine. Growing up and riding Pirates of the Caribbean, I always remember seeing people inside the restaurant enjoying their meals and thinking, one day that's going to be me. So finally getting to eat here felt really special. I brought my husband, who is an executive chef, because I wanted an honest food opinion while sharing the experience together. Before going, we watched a few YouTube reviews and almost everyone recommended ordering the prime rib, which happens to be the most expensive item on the menu. Unfortunately... it didn't live up to the hype. Some parts of the prime rib were very salty, while other bites had barely any flavor at all. My husband and I looked at each other like, did we really get influenced into ordering this? We were honestly a little disappointed because we expected more from the dish everyone raves about. Also the mashed potatoes were not enjoyable. That said, some items were actually really good: * The broccolini that came with the prime rib was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. * The crab cake appetizer was delicious. * The jumbo chicken appetizer was also really good. * The bread with the jam was amazingseriously chef's kiss. Ironically, we enjoyed the appetizers more than the main entrée. For drinks, we ordered the Mint Julep (which tastes like a non-alcoholic mojito) and the Louisiana Lemonade. Both were delicious and surprisingly they came with refills, which we didn't expect since they're specialty drinks. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere is honestly magical. Sitting inside and watching the boats go by from the ride is such a unique Disneyland experience. Blue Bayou is one of the more upscale dining options at Disneyland but doesn't sacrifice the elements of magic and whimsy that the theme park is known for. Located in New Orleans Square, the Blue Bayou restaurant transports its guests to an evening patio on a Louisiana waterfront. The sky is a saturated cobalt blue and adorned with the light of fireflies and paper lanterns. It can take months to secure a reservation here and up to half a year if you want a table right next to the water. And it's easy to see why. The Pirates of the Caribbean ride drifts right next to the dining area, so waterside tables get a super unique, exclusive experience. On my first visit, I sat right next to the restroom in the very back of the restaurant, but I am proud to share that on THIS visit, I moved up one whole row (still next to the restroom though). Our server, Jordan, was great! He was nice, funny, and super on top of everything. He also convinced us to order everything on the menu that we were on the fence about, and two cocktails later, we couldn't be more grateful. I had the Sweet Peach Iced Tea with Rum, which was amazing. After a whole day consuming sweets, I was looking for something refreshing with a little bitterness to it, and this drink did just that. It was not too sweet, and the tea flavor had just the right amount of bitterness. For those looking for a sweeter cocktail, the Hurricane is definitely the way to go. Light and dark rum with passionfruit and citrus juices. This tasted like pure nectar, like orange juice from the Garden of Eden itself. I had the crab cakes for my appetizer, which, at $18, came with 2 crab cakes and a small apple arugula salad. I'm a bit on the fence about the value as the portion only came with 2 crab cakes and the size of each crab cake was smaller than expected. If I were to nitpick further, I thought that the outside of the crab cakes were a bit overdone and dry. But other than that, the flavor was good and the inside of the cakes were still enjoyable. For my entree, I had the prime rib, which came with mashed potatoes and roasted broccolini. The steak was tender and juicy, and I liked the peppercorn demi-glace sauce. Just be careful as there is a salt crust, and my first bite was only that, which was a bit of a nasty surprise. One of my friends got the Prix-Fixe menu, which came with a dark chocolate pistachio cheesecake. At this point, we were all stuffed, so we shared it. It did not taste like pistachio, which is what I loved about it. It was actually a pretty good cheesecake - not too sweet, tangy, and the bitterness of the dark chocolate balanced everything out. Speaking of being stuffed, I will say that the portion sizes of the entrees are huge. I was struggling to get down my last bites of steak, and my friend who got the entree-sized portion of the gumbo was marooned on gumbo island. To be super honest, the gumbo was delicious. Like it was really good. Like it was better than the ribeye and the prime rib, good. The flavors were wonderful, and the dish was perfectly seasoned. If you are not that hungry, I would highly suggest you stick to the appetizer-sized portion.  In the end, I decided to give 5 stars to Blue Bayou because for a theme park dining experience, this was very good. I could definitely see myself coming back, but would probably opt to share dishes next time as the portion sizes are very big. I hope that I will be able to sit one additional row closer to the water next time as well. read more

This place is special because it is inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. I spent my 30th birthday here and had such a memorable experience. You do have to get a reservation. I did this way in advance knowing I would celebrate a special birthday here. I do love the Disneyland app because you can reserve dining through it and see the menu online. This restaurant is very nice and the food was good. There's so much to check out on the dinner menu. Expect to pay anywhere from $35-$60 per adult. For special events, I do recommend you check out Blue Bayou. read more

A friend recommended this place in Disneyland located in the New Orleans area. When inside, you can watch the Pirates of the Caribbean boats go by. Decor is so cute! I scored a last-minute reservation at Blue Bayou during a Disneyland trip last week and couldn't believe it! I've been a couple times before but I have to say this visit was far and away my favorite. For starters, the service was impeccable. Our waiter was so lovely and super kind and helpful. I appreciated that the food and drinks came out without waiting for too long, but we also had time to enjoy each course without them being brought out on top of each other. Speaking of the food and drinks, solid 10/10! My friend and I started with a salad and then we each got the pasta. Both were super flavorful and the portions were impressive yet not overly huge. I got a hurricane and it was sweet and delicious! Definitely not as strong as the one I had at Pat O'Brien's in New Orleans, but honestly, nothing else should be that strong. Dined at Blue Bayou for lunch recently, and it was a pleasant experience. It was my first time dining at Blue Bayou and I thought the overall ambiance was great. It was nicely decorated with a dim interior that added to the mood/ atmosphere and had thoughtful design features. We checked in with the host a few minutes prior to our reservation time and were called up within 4-5 minutes. We were seated at a cozy, corner table and had a nice view of the dining area and the nearby Pirates ride. Customer service was quite friendly and attentive, and we felt the service during the meal greatly improved the dining experience The menu options for lunch were a bit limited than expected, I was looking for pasta and chose the only option on the menu. It was a vegetarian dish with okra, bell peppers and a flavorful red sauce. The pasta was a good sized portion but seemed to lack veggies and the red sauce was spicier than expected. Another thing to note, the entree options are pricier than other casual restaurants, as this is a place for a nice, sit down meal. We had to rush our meal due to some scheduling restrictions, but I'd still consider returning to Blue Bayou in the future. You are able to make reservations through the Disneyland app up to 60 days prior. It's also helpful to check back, as sometimes people cancel and you may find a new reservation. I visited Blue Bayou Restaurant twice in one day once at 1pm and again at 940pm and had two completely different experiences. Our 1pm reservation was great. The atmosphere was exactly what you'd expect, relaxing, immersive, and a highlight of the day. Service was smooth, and we genuinely enjoyed it The later reservation, however, was a completely different story. While the food itself was fine, there was an ongoing issue where water from the AC was dripping directly onto me throughout the meal. It was uncomfortable and distracting, and honestly raised concerns since I couldn't tell how much, if any, may have also reached the table or food. We politely asked if anything could be done to address the situation. We were told the dripping was "normal" and that nothing could be done. There was an offer to move us to a nearby table, but this came after we had already finished our meal, so it didn't really resolve the issue. There was no adjustment to the bill or other effort to make things right by management (Johnny). This interaction left a lasting negative impression and unfortunately impacted the rest of our night. It's disappointing because our earlier visit showed how great this restaurant can be, but the lack of accountability and customer care during the second visit really stood out for the wrong reasons read more

Our waiter, Drew, was also a really cool person and had us laughing every time he came over to check on us. Back on my Disney dining reviews and this time we tried out the acclaimed Blue Bayou. This one holds a special place in my heart, I feel like as a kid nothing was cooler than getting to eat at the restaurant inside of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Knowing how popular it is, we made our reservation three months in advance and planned a Disney day around it. All in all, the ambiance is definitely the best part, followed by the friendliness of the staff, and then the food is just... alright? It wasn't bad it just wasn't good either? Nothing super special to justify the prices, imo. I got the market fish and my husband got the prime rib. He loved his entree to be fair but I thought mine was just okay. There was something about the vegetables that came with it that I didn't love. I think everything was a little too salty. Staff were very friendly though! Amanda, our kind server, brought me a to go Diet Coke and was very attentive throughout our meal despite it being a busy night. And there really is nothing cooler than eating dinner inside a ride. My wife surprised me with dinner reservations at the Blue Bayou at Disneyland, and it was terrific. The reservation was at 4pm, and we were seated around 4:05pm We were greeted by multiple staff members who brought us the menu, water, and dining utensils. Raul, our waiter, provided excellent customer service and was very attentive to us. Even though he was busy with multiple tables, he remained responsible and attentive. If you've been on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, you know the ambiance. It was very calm and soothing, and I have to admit it really enhanced our experience at the Blue Bayou. The food was terrific. We ordered the 70th Celebration Prix Fixe, which came with a vegetable heart salad, a ribeye steak, and a chocolate pistachio cheesecake. We also got their prime rib. Note: I ordered an alcoholic beverage mid-meal, and even though I wasn't able to finish my drink when we were ready to leave, Raul said there was no rush for us to leave. Ok so Ive been a fan of Blue Bayou for a long time. But my last visit was about 3 years ago and the food took a dip. Serving size and quality went down. Decided to make a reservation for Christmas. I was initially disappointed to learn the menu changed, but whatever. Ordered the gumbo, fish (if I recall it was a red snapper), and Hurricane cocktail. The gumbo was tasty, fish was really good, and cocktail was dangerous. I could drink a lot of it if I wasn't careful. My sister and brother-in-law ordered the 70th Celebration Pre-fixe which is $89 for three course meals. They both got the rib-eye. Now I am not a steak person at all. But I tried some and man, if was really good. Dan, our waiter, was very friendly and attentive. I am going to write a positive review of Dan to Disneyland so they can recognize him! By far the best meal we have ever had at Disney, Disneyland, Disney World or downtown Disney. We have always loved Blue Bayou but reservations are hard to get. You have to jump 60 days out to get a table. Thankfully we were able to find a last minute cancellation by obsessively checking the reservation site. They had their new 70th anniversary 3 course dinner which I couldn't recommend highly enough. It was delicious. Well balanced and huge portion - perfect for the two of us to share. We changed the dressing from ranch to balsamic. Steak was cooked perfectly. The dessert was epic - from the pistachio to even the birthday candle for my daughter! We added the beet salad which was excellent as usual. Kids enjoyed their meal! Love the ambience of the Bayou and how you see the pirates of the Caribbean ride in the background. My daughter loved seeing the "firefly" that stayed in the same place throughout our dinner... This is a must for any trip to Disney if you want good food. read more

Second time here & we still haven't been able to sit by the water which was disappointing. Besides that, the ambiance was nice and calming. It really makes you feel like you teleported to another place! We came on a Monday night and the place was pretty busy. It took awhile to get our food. I got the chicken and shrimp and my husband got the prime rib. The prime rib was delicious but it was a tad salty. I enjoyed my creole chicken as well, it had a very strong tomato flavor. We snagged some reservations the week before for some dessert. We were able to check-in on the app and our table was actually ready 5 mins before the original time. As expected, the restaurant itself is dimly lit due to being inside the ride. But there's candles on the table and we had no issue seeing the menu or our food. The entire staff was so nice, friendly and accommodating. My family of 4 ordered desserts only, due to the time of our reservation. There was no issue with ordering dessert and drinks, and I'd highly recommend both desserts! We definitely want to visit again! read more

what a treat it was to enjoy a meal at the blue bayou while we were at disneyland! while it was extremely hard to get a reservation -- HIGHLY recommend making a reservation. when you check in, see if you can request a table near the water! totally made our experience 10x better FOOD the kids had a blast -- they had options for even the pickiest kids! the crab cakes were INCREDIBLE. the prime rib was a touch cold which was a little disappointing. the chicken was amazing, with a great kick! SERVICE the service was amazing. from checking in with the hostess, to our server, and the food runners, everyone was just so kind and brought the disney magic to dinner! I have finally conquered the impossible. After three failed attempts and enough rejection to fuel a villain origin story, I have breached the gates of Blue Bayou. On my 4th attempt, I stood behind a couple who were actually debating whether to take a walk-up spot. I was vibrating. You fools! You absolute novices! You're passing up on your first try what I've hunted like a restless spirit? They declined, and I swooped in like the main character I am. The Pro Tip: Don't show up at 11:00 AM with the reservation swarm. The 12:40 PM window is the sweet spot where the first wave clears out and the "Waitlist Gods" finally smile upon you. The Spoils of War I went for the Prix Fixe menu, and here is the tea: * The Drink: The Peach Raspberry Lemonade is elite. It comes with refills, which is the only way to live. * The Starter: The salad was solid, but for the love of Walt, mix it well--all the dressing was hiding at the bottom. * The Main: The prawns and asparagus were "meh," but the steak and potatoes? Absolutely divine. 10/10. * The Finale: The Pistachio Chocolate Cheesecake was incredible. I could've done without the raspberry accent, but the cake itself was a dream. Also service was absolutely fantastic. One of the servers called me "gorgeous". It's been so long since I've been called that I almost asked him "what are we" loll I am officially stuffed. I can't say this is the "best" theme park restaurant, but it is easily the best restaurant experience at a theme park. I will say, eating here is a little overrated. It's really hard to get reservations. However what makes this place the "best" experience is because the restaurant is inside of a ride, and the food they serve is usually upscale, southern steakhouse style food. I only recommend to eat here if you have two hours to spend for dinner. Menu changes often but if you're celebrating a special occasion, the menu will live up to it. read more

Let me just say, that one of my first memories of Disneyland was riding Pirates of the Caribbean & glancing over to the right to see a bunch of patrons dining just yonder over. That was circa 1992. I'm not exactly sure why, but after countless visits to The Magic Kingdom, it never occurred to me to ever dine here. In retrospect, I think it had to do with the people whom I chose to visit Disneyland with & them really just wanting something fast + easy. Fast forward 30+ years later, I'm really glad that I can finally scratch "Blue Bayou" off of my bucket list. FOOD: Crab Cakes - 8.7 / 10 Almost the size of an amuse bouche. These circles of shellfish prove that Disneyland can do fine dining. A lot of work went into this simple appetizer. You can feel the delicate nature of the crab cakes (& or course, the use of real crabmeat) & the very adequate amount of seasoning + flavor. The remoulade sauce provides a nice, spicy bite & the apple-arugula salad is the peppery greens that you need to counterbalance the plethora of tastes + textures. 70th Celebration Prix-Fixe $89 - Vegetable Hearts Salad - 5.5 / 10 This looked delicious, but with the sheer number of items that my friend & I ordered, this was barely touched. It's a typical salad + there' nothing wrong with that. - Ribeye Steak and Prawns with Western Butter - 7.5 / 10 The steak was cooked to a nice medium rare, but it was salty. I have a high tolerance for salt, but if I ordered this again in the future, I would definitely request the cook to go light on the seasoning. The shrimp were plump & not try. The loaded baked potato was hearty, especially with the indulgent bacon bits, melty cheddar cheese, & nice oniony bite of the chives. Prime Rib - 8.9 / 10 You can't go wrong with prime rib. Although my friend ordered this, she's the cool kind of person that shares entire orders so that we can go "splitsies" on everything. We both agreed that this is the entrée to order. The steak was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The accompanying demi-glace is exactly what you want - it complements the steak without overpowering it. The mashed potatoes were fine & the asparagus stood up to the richness of the beef. - Doberge Cake - 8.8 / 10 Since I have a nut allergy, the restaurant happily accommodated my substitution. I'm not the biggest pumpkin fan when it comes to desserts, but the combination with chocolate is highly underrated. The cake was spongy but not dry at all. Very moist & rich. Crème Brûlée Tart = 9.0 / 10 The burnt sugary crust is like nothing that I've had before. I feel like they put a secret ingredient here - like brown sugar or some kind of alternative yet delicious sweetener. The custard itself was fine, with a nice balance of richness yet melt-in-your-mouth delicate texture. But again, the sugary crust is the star here. Sorbet = 9.1 / 10 This was a shockingly pleasant surprise. Since out waiter accidentally gave us a Chocolate-Pistachio Cheesecake (I am allergic to Pistachios), another kind waiter replaced the original dessert with their Sorbet. This is the dessert to get. The size alone was impressive -can easily satisfy two people with hearty helping or up to four people with smaller portions. As someone who has slowly developed less tolerance to sweets, this is the move. I could be mistaken, but the main flavor that I picked-up on was melon. Either way, this is a safe bet. The truly impressing thing here is that everyone who works here loves it here. You can tell that the front of house is on top of their game. When I asked one of the servers (Frazier) why they were so good, he did not fail to mention that is was because of their strong - & very supportive management. When I went to a manger (Mika) to compliment all my servers, she did not fail to mention that they themselves deserve all the credit. You can tell that they run a tight ship & with some workers having been here for 16+ years, there truly is a rarer, harmonious dynamic between the front-of-line workers + their management. That said, I have to give the biggest shout-out to Leslie at check-in for helping to make my dream of dining here become a reality. Also, our waiter David, Tina, Mack, Peter, & especially Frazier. NOTE: One thing you can also do, is parlay the positive feedback to the guest review that you get via e-mail after your visit. Beautiful restaurant located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. It's by the water where you can see the riders entering the ride, which was really cool. The ambiance and decor inside is so charming you literally feel like you're in a Disney movie. Service was great, and we had a reservation and were lucky enough to be sat right by the water. Prices are expensive but that is to be expected at a spot like this. I ordered the Monte Cristo and it was DELICIOUS. Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with just the right amount of flavor. This was my first time trying a Monte Cristo and I was blown away. The portion size of it was very big too. I'm so glad I got to have this experience here, and I highly recommend it for a special occasion. read more

What an absolutely beautiful and romantic spot to take a breather away from the hustle and bustle of the park crowds outside. Stepping in here makes you feel like you were transported straight to a peaceful night in the Bayou. I had read so many reviews about how the ambiance here cannot be beat but you really have to experience it for yourself. We made a dinner reservation and, after running around the park all day long, totally felt like this was the right move to finally relax, rest the tired legs and enjoy a peaceful and slow sit-down dinner. It is rough getting a reservation, had to wake up around 6am PST exactly 2 months before the date but at that time was able to snag exactly the reservation time I wanted. Definitely ask for the waterside if you can - we showed up 15 minutes early to our reservation and asked for waterside and told them we were willing to wait extra. They told us we may have to wait an extra 30-45 minutes for the water-side so we stepped out to explore some of the shops and they called us back within 5 minutes! Our server was incredibly friendly, and attentive, and we were especially grateful of the attention paid to addressing our food allergies. You won't be getting Michelin-level food here, just your bread-and-butter fancy American food, but maybe it was that combined with the ambiance that just made it taste so much better! The gumbo and filet mignon were our favorites. We loved it so much that even though we were full, we had to order some dessert just so that we could sit and enjoy the restaurant longer. To our surprise, the ice cream came out in a little mickey shape! I miss this place already and can't wait to be back. read more
