    Oysters!!!!

Drove past this restaurant on the way to another restaurant lol, my boyfriend is a crawfish fanatic and decided he wanted to change plans. We parked at one of the public parking spots and enjoyed a nice walk to the restaurant. I will say the entrance of the restaurant isn't as readily available as it could be haha but that just might be a personal issue. The service was pretty good. We got there an hour and some change before closing. They were still very attentive and welcoming. Not sure if it was the time and day that we arrived but they seemed short staffed. Ambience was regular, very similar to other seafood boil spots. Definitely a lot of space, and you're still able to enjoy a personal meal I got the half dozen of oysters, at a price you can't beat! They were 13.95. I'm usually not one to eat horseradish but there's was actually a great add on to my oysters! Mainly giving this spot a 4 because of the flavoring. When i opened my bag of shrimp the flavoring was all in chunks on top of my shrimp :( personally didnt like to see that honestly lol. And i would say that the flavor is a bit on the sweeter side. I got the ALL IN medium. Spice level was great though. Nice hit but not too spicy, still able to enjoy my food. My bf enjoyed his meal and actually liked my sauce better than just the normal Cajun. So there's that l The crawfish was meaty so that was really nice to see. Mainly just the flavoring for me is why I'm subtracting a score; in comparison to other seafood boil spots. The bathroom also wasn't the cleanest.

Came here on a Saturday night with a large party of like 16. It was not really busy so staff were very attentive to us. The food quality here was very average in taste in comparison to other seafood boil places.

Great tasting food. Arguably one of the best tasting Po Boy sandwich I ever tasted. The set was pretty quick for a table for for, no longer than 15 minutes on a Friday night. The location is centrally located and easy to find. The ambiance of the place is very chill and relaxing. Definitely coming back.

Ordered 2lbs of shrimp crave style. Shrimp was semi warm and flavorless. Ordered the king crab and the same result, cold and flavorless This place used to be good, but not anymore. Service was good $100 bucks down the drain

    Easy going weekday visit

First time visit, kept it simple since I was being bashful. The garlic noodles with sausage were pretty good. We had another with shrimp, but I am not too into shrimp so no opinion there. I overloaded on the carbs and got the fried rice with chicken as well. Not bad, but nothing special. The restaurant is pretty big and likely a hot spot for later in the day meal visits. Our waiter (forgot his name) was pretty friendly, spoke highly of their garlic noodles which was the easy sales pitch on me. I left full and felt alright about it.

This is one of my go-to spot when I want good cajun seafood boil without having to drive far. The shrimp was meaty and plump, just the right level of spice. I wish there was more sauce because I love to dip my seafood and fries in the sauce. Fries always crispy. Service was on point, very friendly and attentive. Parking might be tough on the weekend since its near a big bar. I also believe Thurs-Sat night, you have to pay for parking in downtown Fullerton. However, I will definitely be back, probably on a weekday :)

I went with my family to Crawfish Cave on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm. There were only a few more parties at the restaurant but when we talked to the owner later, he said it has been a bit slower since the pandemic. Our server came to take our drink order and brought them back fast. We got the medium heat and cave style cave bucket for $50 which is three pounds of shrimp with sausage, corn and potatoes (your choice between crawfish, clams, mussels or shrimp- pretty good price). We also got fries, fresh oysters and another pound of clams for the table. The oysters were delish, they were the perfect cold temperature and were served with tabasco, tapatio, salt and lemon. Fries were decent. All of the cajun style food was delicious, it had been a while since I went to one and I left with a happy tummy. Give this place some support! It needs more hype.

Me enjoying the Northeast Shrimps, calamari, the naked oysters and the garlic pasta which is one not to be missed.

I and my wife came at lunch time as we were craving for some oysters and some seafood. This turned out to be a great place - basically a sports spot a la Joe Crab House of yesteryears but with plenty to show off for. The garlic pasta is their specialty so we did not miss ordering it , so are their baked oysters , fried calamari and Northeast Cajun shrimps . The servings were plentiful so we ended up with two boxes to take home. Zack who was alone to attend to us was pleasantly accommodating and was so knowledgeable of all the dishes and which ones to recommend. We plan to come back during their happy hours and probably enjoy a more upbeat ambience. Will definitely recommend to any Cajun seafood enthusiasts or to any seafood lover.

Ahhh I've been craving crab for months, and finally found it for a price I was willing to pay. Snow crab was $31/lb today and so worth it. We also had the garlic noodles which were deliciously flavorful and the shrimp and chips, because we were curious. I would come back for the snow crab and garlic noodles. The lemons were the perfect complement. Carmen was our server and was friendly and attentive. The other waitstaff checked in frequently and helped to keep our waters full. I don't have much experience with cracking my own crab, but I learned to use the scissors to cut the crab open lengthwise instead of just cutting horizontally and struggling to dig it out. For any other learners out there :)

Wow... this is by far the best cajun seafood place I've been to. The main reason is because most cajun seafood places' (at least the ones I've been to) shrimp are always mushy and just don't taste fresh at all. But this place's shrimp tasted fresh, chewy, and juicy. Get it with their cajun garlic fries and it'll definitely hit the spot. The sauce I got was cajun, and they give you a good amount of sauce in the bag. Some places I've been to barely give you any sauce. Definitely will be back and 10/10 recommend this place to any cajun seafood fans.

HIT. THE. SPOT. I was craving some crab and I've always driven past this place and finally tried it!! It was very good! I didn't get good photos of the boil bags (they didn't photograph well) but the favor was definitely there! We got all the flavors combined and everything was tasty. We got shrimp, mussels and another crab in the boil bags and then we got a side of garlic noodles and rice. Additionally we got 2 pieces of corn, 1 3 piece of potatoes and 2 orders of sausage links. The side portions seemed a little expensive for how much you get... definitely been to other places that had better discounts for the potatoes and things and the flavor on those was just okay. I think I prefer when they are mixed in the bag as well (which I know you can do yourself, but just commenting on how it was served here). All in all, was really pleased with this place and would love to go back!

Nice little restaurant . Grandson got North Shore which as a Cajun rice base in Cajun sauce with an egg "as you like it" and some pretty spectacular serving of fried shrimp. I was more boring getting three fish (Swai) tacos and fries

This was my expression after eating the amazing entree! 5 Big Booms!

Review 69/365 Day Challenge…read more Was excited to see The Kickin Crab coming to DT Fullerton beginning of the year or end of last year I recall. We're usually regulars at the one in Buena Park. But that's a drive. Decided to come here for Father's Day dinner celebration. It's been a good minute since we've had TKC along w seafood boil eatery w the fam bam. When arrived I put ourselves on the waiting list w the iPad provided. Within 10-15 mins our table was ready w a text to my phone. I was surprised for a holiday and around 5:15 we didn't have much long of a wait. What we ordered ~ Sweet potato Fries, Cajun fries & onion rings were all yummy crispy and on point. ~ kickin wings was crispy yummy and we just got the non flavored one for my kids. It was good. ~ garlic noodles were scrumptious and a must when here. Filled w a lot of fresh sautéed chopped garlic. It was so good and not dry nor overly greasy from the butter it was cooked in. Highly recommended. ~ We got the Kickin combo # 3 w Lobster for Father's Day dinner celebration. All the seafood was fresh. Got the mild spice level and it was perfect. Shrimp clams and lobster were all good. And the seasoning was deliciously finger lickin good to the T. Customer service was great, we were constantly checked on especially by i believe who to be the owner Cecelia. Only thing was they were a bit backed up on getting our main food out and I saw it also w other guests, the table behind and next to us. The guests wasn't too happy with the delay of getting their food and the associate kept coming over to apologize. Also giving them an update how much longer to expect. We too got our appetizers 1st within 15 mins of ordering but it took like almost half n hour to get our main items which was the Kickin combo 3 we ordered. Cecelia approached us and informed us the delay and offer us another order of garlic noodles and fries on the house for the long wait,, The restaurant is pretty big w 2 area of dining along w a pretty big outdoor patio dining area. It has a cute Louisiana style vibe and pretty clean. Have outdoor sink near the kitchen for guest to wash their hands only. Overall besides the delay of our main order. I'd definitely return here. This will be our regular TKC now since we're not too far. It's what we love about the Kickin crab. Parking in downtown Fullerton is a bit of a struggle especially on weekends and nights. FYI PARKING IS FREE during the day but after 9 p.m. there's a parking charge. Located in downtown Fullerton right next to All bout Pho and the Yeokjeon Halmaek. Literally off Harbor blvd.
