The Golden Vine Winery opened along with Disney California Adventure in 2001! It's theme is based on California's wine country like Napa, Sonoma. The architecture, landscaping, vineyards, and food service is similar to a wine country setting. The Golden Vine Winery features multiple food, beverage locations, and terraces. There is the Wine Country Trattoria. Wine Country Trattoria is a full service restaurant. It offers Italian and Mediterranean style cuisine. You can even pair wine with the food! The ambiance features trellis greenery, wood, and tile inside the restaurant. It's beautiful and such a relaxing place to hang out! Multiple terraces are included such as the following Sonoma Terrace Mendocino Terrace Alfresco Tasting Terrace As a guest, you can sit and enjoy wine flights, and view the surroundings. There are special wine tasting events that are held at the Alfresco Tasting Terrace! Recently, the Blue Sky Cellar was updated to the Golden Vine House which is a Disney Vacation Club Welcome Home Center now. The food at Golden Vine Winery, while on the pricier side, is pretty good, but of course, you're at a theme park, what else would you expect? Reservations are a must, and they do offer indoor and outdoor seating. Though it was a relatively warm day, we sat outside in a shaded area. The staff are very friendly but not entirely attentive, as we had to wait every so often to get someone's attention when needed. It took us a while to pay for our meal. They have plenty of non-alcoholic and alcoholic options to choose from, and fountain drinks include refills. We opted for the Calamari as an appetizer - found the calamari to be a bit chewy, but the asparagus paired well with it. My wife wasn't too fond of the seabass, but I felt it was amazing and full of flavor. The meatballs are an add-on to your pasta, and are pretty darn big. You may need to use a knife to cut it evenly into small pieces. Overall, a very decent option for dining, just bring a bit of patience with you and you'll be fine. read more

Showed up at 4:30 to make a reservation and was told they weren't taking reservations but to come back in an hour as a walk in. Came back at 5:30 and was very rudely told by the hostess that they weren't taking walk ins and we needed to have a reservation. Basically told us to pound sand. This whole micro-land in California Adventure is arguably one of the most fun for adults. The area set up to feel like you're strolling through Northern California wine country. It's off the beaten path, so it's a little quieter, and there's not necessarily much reason for families with young children to linger there. The result is a more relaxed, quieter adult experience for visitors. You have three options for food and drink, including a full-service restaurant, a fast food service that has light pickings, beer and wine, and a wine tasting section for people who just want to sample some Vino. The section of the park service is a nice diversion and distraction if you want to slow things down a little bit. read more

If I am in need of a little rest and a glass of wine (or beer) this is always my go to stop in Disneyland's California Adventure. It is along the main walking path, just across from Carsland. There is always a lot of seating, and the bar is grab and go. There is also small bites here along with a variety of wines and beer. I have had the little cheese plate with crackers and many different types of wines here. These counter services also take your AP or MEP for discounts. During special times of year, they also have entertainment in this area, which is very fun to sit, rest, drink and enjoy the different types of entertainment that the resort has to offer! read more

I love this place and their vegan selections are awesome. They will even make sure you have vegan bread with your oil and balsamic. The service has always been perfect the 4-5 times we have been here. Oh and there is a secret lol bar area at the top of the stairs that gives you a KILLER view of Cars Land. I really like how quiet it is up there and they even have beer and wine specials during a Happy Hour time! Dinner here is always divine and if you come for an early dinner you catch the Parade right from your table! Just request a table that is street view (it's worth the wait). Someone in our visiting party said we could get a special World of Colors ticket with our meal, so he made reservations. For $40 for dinner you get bread, a choice of salad or soup, choice of an entree (from a pre-made menu), and a dessert. I wasn't sure what to expect since I doubt the quality of most amusement park food. My expectations were very low. I was very pleased with the food and the service was amazing! Chris was our waiter and he was extremely well versed in wines. I felt like I was on a wine tasting tour. I ordered the Chianti, another person ordered a wine flight, and someone else the Sangria. Thoroughly enjoyed the suggestions and Chris walked me through proper tasting techniques. The salad was delicious and hardy. We didn't have to wait long before they brought out our entrees. At our table we enjoyed the Beef Tenderloin dish and the Braised Lamb Shank. I had the Beef Tenderloin and the Gorgonzola Potatoes with the meal were yummy! No complaints from any of us on the food. Our dessert came out and it was a sampler tray of their goodies. It was well received with our group. I think I was the only one that wanted a bigger dessert portion! Maybe even a little sorbet or gelato too! One suggestion offered a party member was that they add more umbrellas outside and extend the greenery to cover the whole side of the patio. So as a before dinner treat we decided to walk back over to California Adventure and check out the winery... One of my favorite things to do... We ordered a bottle of Mondavi Reisling and a chees platter the total was about $50. The cheese platters are pre-made and are $15. The bottle was $35 which is a really decent price. So I am not a big fan of white wine but that had the perfect sweetness and was a perfect match with the cheese. The winery conosuirre even found us a table I guess at about 8pm it gets more crowded. The only downside on the cheese platter was the Blue Cheese (YUCK!!) Other than that it was a very refreshing sop over. There was 3 of us and we all got two full glasses each.... While strolling through California Adventure, Golden Vine Winery looked really classy, so my boyfriend and I decided to make reservations for our anniversary dinner there. *NOTE: if you don't show up for a reservation, or even if you cancel a reservation, the restaurant will charge your card $10!* It was kind of a chilly night, so we were really happy when we got seated inside... Right underneath an AC vent. Superrr tight. We were gonna ask to get moved, but guess what? Those vents line the whole damn inside. Just bring a jacket. We ended up trying the shrimp scampi and it was actually really, really great. It had a slight spice to it because of the red pepper flakes, but it was a perfect touch. The noodles were massive, which I thought was weird, but whatever. Know that they serve this dish with the shrimp tails still on... They don't forewarn you in person or in the menu. This place has exceptional food and exceptional price for being inside the theme park. If you plan to watch the Water of Colors show, you gotta get the deal, it's WELL WORTH IT. They have a fast pass deal for Water of Colors show for $40.00. First, you get bread, then you get salad, followed by an entry and ends with a dessert. OK., you're probably thinking to yourself, nah, they probably just give you some tiny portion of food that will not fill you up (like I originally thought), bur you're wrong!!! The Rosemary bread is great. The lamb shank was amazing. And, you don't get 1 dessert, but FOUR mini size dessert. The dessert has tiramisu, panicotta with strawberry, chocolate moose, and a raspberry tart. Man, I was so full and happy before the show. You also get front row prefer sitting with this pass, so you get the best view outta all people ^^ Go try it, trust me, it's about the same price you would pay for a burger, fries, and drink at a normal burger place inside Disney. read more

I love this spot at California Adventure. This was my third time going and every time has been great! You can make a reservation but they do take a card and will charge you $10 per person if you don't show. I've also walked up to the restaurant and the wait usually isn't too long even without a reservation. If it's more than 15 mins I usually do a bit of wine tasting while I wait. The food is great and my favorite dish has to be the lasagna. We've always gotten fresh hot bread while waiting for our food. They have olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the table for dipping your bread. They also have some delicious cocktails if you're not a wine type of person. This is definitely one of my favorite spots to hit when I'm at California Adventure. read more

I haven't had this bad of a service in a LONG time. We sacrificed a LOT of time to eat here,(it took us 2 hours to eat here!!!) and we missed our chance to use our fastpass at the World of Color because the service took a very long time. :( The service was pretty bad. I normally tip very well to waiters-- even to bad service if they made an effort to deserve the extra $$. But I believe the service I got here was so horrible that our whole table didn't feel like our waiter didn't even deserve our tip. First of all, our food took an hour to get. ONE HOUR!! After waiting one hour, I was the only one who didn't get my food, while everyone in the table got their food. He started walking away, and someone said, "we are missing one plate." He answers, "Did everyone get their plate?" um... What do you think???? After that, I was losing patience, so I asked for a "MANAGER". The freaking hostess calls for a supervisor. His name was Benito and he was not very helpful. I tell him the situation and he was like, "so you didn't get your food?" I said no, and continue to tell him what was wrong with everything and then he replied, "so you didn't get your food?" and I said, no. UM... it looked like he didn't give a #%$. Wasn't apologetic at all and just walked away. FIRE HIM! Finally our waiter comes with my food and guess what? It's the wrong order. OMG. like seriously???? AND our waiter wasn't apologetic at all through the whole situation. I haven't heard him say a single "sorry". And not even a single "thank you" too. Definitely an eek factor. I did my homework on Yelp so, WTF? It's like the reviews got mixed up with another restaurant. The lasagna looked and tasted like it was right out of the can, and I'm not talking about the can with Chef Boyardee's face on the side. We went with a Disneyland employee who had never eaten at the Golden Vine(and never will again). She kept apologizing to us for suggesting it and I kept apologizing for the faulty Yelp recomendation. The service was painfully slow, yet they had 5 employees standing in front of the restaurant inviting people in just like carnies in front of the House of Mirrors. We went in the evening and were seated outside. It was cold and dark, although we did get some light when the Electric Parade went by. That's what the extra star is for. Went here on sunday for lunch w/ the bf for my birthday. =) It was actually my first time eating at this restaurant b/c even though we are annual passholders, we usually try to save money by eating lunch before we get to the park or having dinner elsewhere..but since it was a special occasion (basically the best day ever..lol jk) we decided to try this place. We both opted for some lunch salads since we were having dinner at 8..and usually I don't go for the salad, b/c i needs me some carbs..but i was sold when i saw the pizetta salad..it served on top of this foccacia like bread...the salad is tossed w/ apple-wood smoked bacon, balsamic vinagrette, bleu cheese crumbles, tomatoes, and kalamata olives. The flavors in this salad were crazy good and it was super filling!!!! The bf got hte chicken bruschetta salad and his looked pretty tasty as well, but pretty much my pizetta salad owned his bruschetta salad. haha We also enjoyed a couple glasses of moscato d' asti and it was super refreshing and paired really nicely w/ our salads. During our nice lunch at the winery we almost forgot that we were at DCA b/c of the great setting and great food. Ooh and those breadsticks they serve w/ the sun-dried tomato spread....sooo yummay...mmMMmmM!!! A valiant effort, but the result is more Olive Garden than Michelin. I had the scallops and pasta dish. It said it was Pomodoro, but it came out more like a marinara sauce. The scallops were slightly undercooked. The pasta was spaghetti noodles. My friends had the fish of the day with pesto. One bite and they both said it tasted like frozen fish. The house salad was the best. Not imaginative, but it was fresh and lovely with fresh greens, fig, cheese, and nuts. Service was slow. Price for the World of Color menu is $40 prix fixe menu. The extra $20 per gets you in front for the light show, and also a chance to sit down and relax for an hour in a shady, calm environment at the park. read more

I never imagined something like the Golden Vine ever happening at Disneyland. After an early start and crazy day of crowds, lines and kids, we escaped here. I had never been to California Adventure, but I had heard that locals joked it was the best place to hide a body. Here, you can sit down on a nice patio and order REAL and YUMMY food in every way far from the usual offerings of theme parks. And surprisingly, the meals weren't much more expensive than the typical slop at Disneyland eateries. It's like a relaxing centering mini-break from Disneyland chaos. You know, like lazy bum yoga but without the necessity to move. Plus, you get to eat a lot of good food. And it was the only place where we were able to escape the painful horror of the High School Musical float parade. Seriously??? I'm not going to ask how Disney has sunk so low on that one. But everywhere else, it took some real effort to get as far from it as possible, then next thing you know, here it comes!!! We could hear the ominous sounds creeping towards us, like the hunters in Bambi, as we ran for cover. You get warm tasty bread sticks with a dreamy tomatoey and cheesy cream whip. And the WINE list! Woohoo! Wine at Disneyland! Finally! We all know that's what Walt always envisioned anyways... The service was great. All four of us got something completely different and everyone was very pleased. I got their caprese panini which was probably the best sandwich I've ever had. Since then, I have made my own variation of it at least once a week. But it's never the same. Overall, an extremely surprising find and great experience. Had I not had the chance to wind down and eat in dignity, I think I would have kicked Mickey Mouse right in his little pants. I wonder what sound he would have made then? Dinner and a show? Thank you Disney. Dan K. and I came here on our two-year anniversary. And it was lovely. We got the World of Color package which included a three course dinner and special viewing (front row viewing actually) of World of Color. As Disney promised, the evening was m a g i c a l. Starters: Mixed Bread Appetizer: Warm Goat Cheese, Walnut, Mixed Green salad. Entrees: Dan K. ordered the Braised Lamb Shank over Polenta. I ordered the Beef Tenderloin with Gorgonzola Potatoes. Dessert: 4 mini desserts comprised of Tiramisu, Panacotta, Hazelnut Mousse Thingy and a Cherry Tart. For all of this + 2 front row World of Color passes was only $90! Not bad for three courses and great seats. And honestly, it was an experience to remember. The food was savory, delicious and that beef tenderloin was tenderrrrrrr!! The salad was also very nice -- the goat cheese blending in with the walnuts and arugula. And the 4 dessert platter was a happy ending to our colorful meal. However -1 star for cold bread (Disney, why can't you give us fresh bread when we sit down) as well as the long wait for our food. I felt like service was attentive but we were so hungry... It shouldn't take 15 minutes for a salad as well as 20 minutes after for our entree. But all in all, great experience. Would recommend this package to anyone. read more

I love this spot! They serve all sorts of wine with an amazing and relaxing view at Disney's California adventure. This place is obviously for adults only since they can drink and unwind there. You may eat at the restaurant or go to their togo side and order drinks there. I went to go to the togo side and ordered a sweet glass of wine and the employee was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He gave me a range to choose from starting at not so sweet to very sweet and I chose the one in the middle. He recommended this delicious bottle of wine from Germany but I forgot the name and it was perfect for me. He let me sample the wine first to see if I'd like it first, so he nailed it on the first sip. It had the perfect taste of apple to it. I only paid $9.50 for the drink. Loved it! I will definitely come back here again when I am in the park for another fix of wine! read more

They have a pretty good selection of California wine and craft beers, and the prices are not bad- especially considering this is a theme park. The girls working there were nice and gave me an extra generous pour on my second glass. The ambiance is bland; no real style, which is surprising because Disney does such a great job adding details to the other areas of the park that make them so charming and cute. I had expected a simulated visit to Sonoma, but no. They pipe in Disney's version of "winery music", which gets more hilarious the longer you sit. I love this place. My best friend and I are pass holders and on one really hot Sunday we decided to walk up the winery stairs and check the place out. We've been pass holders for on-and-off 5 years now and never once had checked it out before. We went up to the wine bar and were shocked how many different wines they offered. You can do by the glass or choose from several different tastings. We both decided to get a glass..her, some type of Chard and I got some type of cab. We also got the $15 cheese,cracker, grape plate which was definitely marginal. I would have given the 5th star is the crackers were bit more high quality and if they added more of everything..but hey, this IS Disneyland! The wine we chose was great and it was really relaxing to sit down for a bit, in the shade and drink our wine. Then somebody told us we were aloud to walk around with our wine so we grabbed another glass and strolled around the park. It was a lot of fun and I definitely think we will be going "Mickey Mouse wine tasting" every time we go back to CA Adventure! People are too harsh. If you want good food in Disney, please look no further than those amazing turkey legs. I come here all for the booze. Moms, dads, young couples, retirees alike. I've been to this restaurant twice and I'm sure it won't be my last time: not because I like the food or the service or even the restaurant setup (FYI I don't like ANY of the above I just listed), but bc of the VIP seating for World of Color. My memory of my first visit (back in March 2011): good service, amazing dessert, meh on the food. Outdoor seating is very dark ... like ... awkwardly dark. I ordered the chicken breast and it was dry and not up to the standard of a $40 prix fixe meal. But ... I have a lower standard for theme park food, even if it is Disneyland, so whatever. The dessert is enough to make up for it. The salads seem drenched with dressing but again, let's all lower our standards here. I went to this restaurant again in Dec 2011. Probably on my top five worst restaurant experiences ever. We had about three different servers coming to our table, none in a very timely fashion. My assumption is that our original server was probably asking any server he saw on his way between the kitchen to help him out. Our food took forever to come out. We had made reservations at 7:30. I remember on my first visit, the food took a long time as well, but the service was much more attentive and loaded us up on bread (the triangular cheesy ones are the best). This time though, not so attentive. It does not usually piss me off when service is slow at a restaurant. But I would think that Disneyland could logically figure out that people eating here intend to catch the World of Color show, and it would make sense to try to get all the food out and the bill out before the 9:15 showing. We realized that if we waited to eat our desserts at our table, we'd be missing a portion of the show, so we asked for our desserts to go. Our server comes out with this tiny box ... our party was seven people. I think our dessert menu had four different items and we each got two. I asked the server where the rest of our dessert was, such as the panna cotta, and he said since it's served in glass he didn't give us any. So basically, because THEIR service was so SLOW, we had to cut our dining time and pack our dessert to go, and we don't even get the ENTIRE prix fixe menu, yet we DO pay the full price? How the hell does that work. I was pissed, and the fact that it didn't even cross his mind that he might substitute our missing dessert with some more easy-to-go items makes me think far lower of Disney's service. Another note. Our table wasn't under the patio'd part of the outside dining, and for some inexplicable reason, Disney hasn't figured out that a few gas lamps might be nice. I was freezing the entire meal. Yes we are on Southern California. This does not mean I enjoy sitting in the dark with cold Santa Ana winds blowing. Basically, this place is shit, but if you want VIP tickets to World of Color (which is nice so you don't have to wait in crowds or have to stand shoulder to shoulder with the crowd), just set your expectations to Olive Garden (actually, Olive Garden is more attentive with their bread baskets). read more

Do not order the beef ravioli, it was the worst thing I've ever tasted. The lasagna is amazing though, get it with the world of color package because it's a three course meal. Time to review my "favorite ride" of Disney/California Adventure! Yes, here's a secret I'm sure many are keen on, but if you are not, (ahem) Listen up! Nestled just in front of the pier area of California Adventure is a wine bar. I know!!! I get so excited just thinking about this. (There is also beer and margarita's farther down on the Pier- (Karl Strauss tent)). It took me until my late 20's to learn of this gem of a "secret". So anyhow, this place is very nicely decorated, cozy, and has a few sections. There is outdoor seating for meals and drinks, outdoor seating for just wine, and indoor seating for a more intimate experience. *Get the picnic special for the World of Color show ASAP. As soon as the gates open. It's worth it for the seats and the show really is spectacular. They sell out fast so just get it out of the way before the allure of the rides and atmosphere makes you forget. Otherwise you will be stuck in the back with half a view and sore feet. Back to the restaurant. Very friendly service with a pseudo-Italian feel. Priced on par for Disneyland (yes, costly). The food isn't great, but isn't horrible. Just don't get the cheese platter. Wow, is it bad. (Technically you could just drink and have free breadsticks with oil and vinegar...varied breads and unlimited). If you order a meal SHARE! It's not like you can truck around the parks with a doggy bag. The portions are huge and you will leave quite a bit of food behind if not. Perfect place, my friends to have some cocktails and hit up rides after! I highly suggest the Tower of Terror when your buzz is prime. Then hop back over to Disneyland for a late night run on Space Mountain. (Keep your plastic glasses as souvenir's if you are sappy or want a fun reminder of the trip. This place is great. This is my favorite place to eat at California Adventure. It's great to escape the feel of a theme park and to be able to sit down and have a great meal. This place is always crowded so make sure you get a reservation if you plan on eating dinner here. Their pastas are really tasty and fresh and their bread that you are given when you sit down is delicious chibatta bread that you can dip in oil and vinegar. The environment is still very family friendly and the staff is really nice and helpful. It does get chilly if you sit outside at night so either make sure that you ask for inside seating or just bring a coat if you come in the off season. They do have some small heaters under a few tables which help only if you are sitting under them. The first time I came here was a few years ago and it was because I was with my sister and my picky four-year-old cousin and we knew that we could get her butter noodles which were her favorite food at the time. Hello all! My first review here and why not start with Golden Vine Winery at Disney's California Adventure. First off, the server was quite pleasant and helpful throughout dining there. Here is what was ordered: Rustic Bruschetta: This appetizer was just delightful. The roasted artichokes, mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes gave this appetizer a delicious taste. It's like a party in your mouth. (Of course, if your trying to watch your carb intake, then you stay away.) Arugula Salad: Definitely a go to salad if you don't feel like eating pasta. The fig-balsamic dressing along with the smoke chicken gives this salad a delicious taste! Grilled Chicken Sandwich: My only gripe with this sandwich is the use of Ciabatta bread. For me, it's just too tough to eat and too much bread. The chicken breast itself is very good. Nice thick slices of herbed chicken breast with arugula and caramelized onions give this sandwich a nice flavor. (This one is probably a no go for me if I come and have lunch here again.) The Tour of Italy wine flight was delicious although being that is Disneyland, I felt that it was just a bit over priced. Overall, a terrific place to have lunch or dinner. read more

Drinks are a little pricey here, but what isn't at a theme park? I tried the Saint-Hilaire and the Snap Dragon and both were decent. Very refreshing on a hot day. It's a nice place to sit down in the shade, relax, and enjoy the breeze. Imo the cups are a little small but overall a pleasant experience. read more

We ate here the other night and were EXTREMELY disappointed. It was our last night in the park and we decided to go out for a "nice" dinner and maybe a glass of wine or two. The restaurant boasts itself as upscale, and by the decore (and food prices) you would think that it is, but the food was nothing more than your basic spaghetti and sauce. My dad ordered the bolognese.. it says that it came with meat sauce, but when the food arrived it was about 1 cup of spaghetti with some red sauce barely covering. I think my dad found one piece of sausage in the entire plate. I ordered the chicken and pasta which said it came with a "white wine sauce" although the noodles were dry. The dish also said it came with broccoli and I guess they meant one piece of broccoli and it was mixed in with the pasta. We ordered the calamari and crostini for appetizer and it was OK. The bread they serve on the table before the dinner is basically your standard grocery store dinner rolls. Very dry. We asked for new ones and the second batch was better. Warm at least. Overall, I wouldn't waste the money on dinner. Go there for a glass of wine and sit up in the lounge, but save your money and get something to eat at the restaurant that looks over the Pier or maybe hit up downtown Disney. For the price you pay here you could get a good meal at house of blues. I realize that being in Disneyland they have a captive audience and they are going to charge more for the food, but it doesn't cost any more to make a great meal. This was the only disappointing part of our trip so I felt like i had to share. Wish someone would of warned us. read more

LMFAO. I will make this short and simple. Food= Microwave and not fresh (e.g ordered a lasagna.. 5 mins later it comes out. tastes like dog shit) Service= very nice service and was pleasent Price= not going to complain since everything in Disneyland/California Adventure is like 20 percent markup. Going to try something else besides this place next time i go to california adventure. read more
