Someone recommended this place to me so we decided to give it a shot. I can't believe how expensive this place was! Almost $70 for 3 people, and we didn't even have any alcohol to make the cost feel better. The food was good, but not $70 good. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying more for a good meal, but breakfast shouldn't be that much unless each table has its own server. It's a very loud restaurant, I would assume because it's a concrete floor. The bathrooms are binary, which surprised me as the menu seems very hipster - avocado toast, bread pudding served in a mason jar, etc. Service was decent once the waitress' friends left as she spent quite a bit of time chatting and laughing with them. As far as the food itself- the eggs were all cooked the way we liked - the scrambled soft eggs were not too soft or overly done and the regular scrambled eggs were done perfectly. The toast was very thick and the chicken fried steak was perfect (my husband said it was the best he'd ever had). That "heirloom tomato" salad was...confusing. The tomatoes were just plain almost-ripe cherry tomatoes, and the skins were pretty tough and the dressing was a weird sugary flavor. The bread pudding was dry on the top and moist in the bottom - so it wasn't sealed and just allowed to dry out. That was a shame because the bottom half was delicious. read more

It's been a few moths since my last visit. It was pretty busy. Normally I haven't had any problems issues with this place. Today we came in and my coffee mug had left over dry food stuck to the mug my water glass was dirty. But my food was delicious warm and my eggs where cooked just the way I asked for. My husband's omelet was just right. My French toast was good. The issue was that I order bacon to go and my kid didn't eat it for the simple reason that it was not crispy but extra cooked burn. I was really excited to finally try this place. We arrived shortly after 9am on Sunday morning and the parking lot was pretty full. Surprisingly we walked in and were seated right away for a table for 3. They have a fun mimosa menu and you can order singles or a carafe. Additionally you can order a flight of 4 mimosas or a mimosa tree for larger groups. We ordered a flight as it was an easy way for 3 of us to try different mimosas. Each one was unique and had great flavor. The ladies ordered the Avocado toast with poached eggs and the heirloom tomato salad I ordered the Bella Bella Benedict with home fries. We also ordered a side of the jalapeño brown sugar bacon. The good: the mimosas, coffee, and tomato salad were great The bad: the eggs and the home fries were luke warm at best and the bacon never arrived. They could use an expediter to help ensure orders were delivered hot to their tables. The wait staff were fairly busy trying to accommodate their tables - looked like there were 2-3 wait staff to service roughly 15-20 tables. When we left I overheard the hostess telling people the wait was about 2 hours for a table. I recommend using the online waitlist if you can. All in all not sure I'll be back to this location. May give the sister restaurant Huck House a try. read more

We were so excited to try this place! We added our name to their online waitlist, it was nice to not have to wait in/at the restaurant. We had to park down the road and hope we didn't get a ticket because the parking lot was full. The hostess told us that is a common problem for them. We ordered the Mountain Man, Bella Bella, one drip coffee, and a stack of 2 huckleberry pancakes. My husband loved the Bella Bella and the huckleberry pancakes were amazing! I wish I took our servers recommendation and ordered a Benedict instead, because the Mountain Man didn't impress me much. The service was great and attentive, and all the other staff members we encountered were friendly too. Our total came out to over $50 before a tip, which seems expensive for breakfast. This place does seem more upscale than your typical breakfast joint. read more

After seeing their sister location has closed it will not be a surprise to read this location is next. I have been here many times before to much love. The last three times have been meh and the recent one is the last one. Yelp doesn't allow the truthful posts so of interest- the menus no longer list the daily specials. Bad service. Slow. Wrong info for the menu told from the server. Prices rang up wrong. Bacon was a grease log. Etc. Probably some management changes and it has trickled down in a bad way. No bike racks!!!! What an awesome little cafe! It has a small town and locals atmosphere and the food was excellent! The server helped me make their huckleberry latte vegan and I asked for the creme brûlée oatmeal without whipped cream but it was still so delicious! Very large portion and super filling. Loved the atmosphere! I was driving long distance so didn't get to try a mimosa but the staff were lovely and accommodating without fuss. I always have to change up the items and the server worked to make sure it was correct before putting it into the system so I'd be happy. I was very hopeful at the seemingly modern menu and real espresso machine (which I am still grateful for, even if they did run cheap bitter coffee through it) but unfortunately this was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time. "Hipster Toast" aka Avocado toast, was first of all not even toast, but raw sliced bread from the bag a step towards stale, the "heirloom" cherry tomato salad was so sour and sweet it was hard to eat, on top of being pre-made and drained of juice so the tomatoes had a leathery chew. The eggs too, were so bland they must be mass market product. In a place like Idaho you'd think there'd be the time, cost-efficiency and proximity to farms to serve quality products but this, aside from the espresso, was Costco food. We returned when visiting Boise again a year later, intentionally arriving during the "happy hour" when kids ate breakfast for free, only to learn that the restaurant has switched to Days of the Week specials. The special for Tuesday was free coffee and since we don't drink coffee, it was not applicable to us. They also no longer offered the special I got before, although Thursdays they have a Bargain breakfast now for $6.99. Kids eat free only on Fridays now, so the rest of the time their meals are $10.29. We ordered the Kids Pancake Pasta, which was a fun, unique item but a HUGE portion that came with eggs and breakfast meat as well. Would prefer to have paid $5 for half the amount as our kids barely ate much of it so we ended up throwing most of it away. I noticed after we got home that the meal was supposed to come with a drink, which not a big deal, but considering we asked the waitress about their specials and said we didn't drink coffee, would have been nice for her to bring up. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with fresh fruit and felt nauseous the rest of the day. The bathroom was also out of paper towels. Had a great brunch our server Kea was amazing. The downfall was the bathrooms are not in use and the servers and customers are forced to go elsewhere. I was there yesterday/Sunday and it was well on the way to 100 degrees and there was no air conditioning. What? I would at least think the staff could wear shorts or skirts. My dad I had a late brunch we both had the smoked brisket . Man oh man was it delicious perfectly cooked so tender you wouldn't even need teeth to eat it. I've been wanting to go to one of the Brunchettes for a while now. Today was the day we finally go to one and I'm sad to say that I'm not impressed. First of all, our server was terrible. She was not attentive whatsoever. My husband had to get up several times to get various things - spoon to stir coffee, napkins, ketchup, coffee refill. She never checked on us. When the food arrived, it wasn't hot, only warm-ish. The food was nothing special and overpriced. Coffee was lukewarm and served in a mug with several chips around the rim. And then a kids meal for over $10?? Husband said it best, a gentrified place on the bench that's appealing to millennials. Best part of our experience: we didn't have to wait for a table, even on a Sunday. All in all, not a great experience, had subpar service and way overpriced. We won't be visiting again. Hard pass for me next time. Super loud, to the point where you have to lean across the table and be in someone's face to have a conversation. Table for two along the wall is super small and not overly comfortable, like two tops are a nuisance. My coffee mug was chipped around the rim, good thing I was paying attention or I'd have cut up lips. My water glass was dirty, not just kinda washed dirty, but what the hell was in this glass dirty. Service was marginal, our waitress wasn't overly attentive, but the helpers for the whole floor were. Food was really just meh for me. Had the French Ben idiot and felt let down by lack of flavor in the main, the potatoes were decent so maybe something that focuses more on those would have been better. French toss here is a Joke. Came in on a Friday morning around 11:30. Its cute inside but soo loud! Was told the wait was 20 minutes. There were a ton of open tables, and then 40 minutes later we were sat in the corner. The waitress took 10 minutes to get to use to get our drink order. My mom was brought coffee in a chipped cup. We had to get up multiple times to ask for coffee creamer, napkins, a spoon, then then just silver wear in general. Waitress didn't come back to refill our coffee cups, had to get up and ask for that too. This was all before the food even came out. It took another 50 minutes for the food to come out. Although the restaurant was pretty empty. So it didn't make sense why it was taking so long. We finally got out food. Had to send back bacon that we asked for well done, and wasn't. Waffles were sitting on top of loads of butter so the waffle flavor was overpowered by the butter. Also, there was a ton of ants walking on our table and the wall right next to our table.
