UPDATE -- PLEASE READ…read more I'm updating this review because this situation remains unresolved. Camping World installed the hitch and inspected my unit before my trip. Roughly 400 miles into that trip, my trailer separated from my truck. I have retained photos, emails, messages, and recorded conversations with Camping World employees and managers that include statements acknowledging fault and responsibility related to what occurred. I have preserved this documentation and am prepared to provide it through the appropriate channels if necessary. Regarding contact from Camping World, Mike Hausy did reach out today and apologized for not meeting with me during his visit to Arizona. He stated that he was unaware I had come to the location during his visit. I had gone to the location three times attempting to meet with him and spent hours there while I was told he was in meetings or otherwise occupied. Later, I received an email offering to unwind the deal and refund my deposit. That email did not address my motorcycle, other damages, or additional financial expenses I have incurred. I responded in writing asking for clarification regarding those outstanding issues and, as of close of business today, I have not received a response addressing them. Additionally, Sergio from Camping World Avondale called me today at 3:22 PM and asked whether Camping World had taken care of me. When I asked whether he was aware of the situation, he told me he was calling as a friend and not on behalf of Camping World. I thanked him for his concern and asked that he not contact me further because I am preparing to pursue this matter through other appropriate channels. As of close of business today, the agreed-upon opportunity to resolve this matter has passed without a complete response addressing the outstanding issues. If Camping World contacts me with substantive information or a resolution, I will update this review accordingly. Likewise, any future updates I make will continue to be based on my firsthand experience and the documentation I have retained. At this point, I am preparing to pursue the legal options available to me. Everything stated here is intended to document my experience factually. I have given Camping World the opportunity to address this directly. I had hoped we could reach a reasonable resolution without taking this further.

Ive been a customer for what feels like about 6 years now. I mostly use their service department…read moreto care for my motorhome. Are they perfect? No. But take a drive up and down Main Street and find one that is. I used (and was abused by) no fewer than three service companies along Main Street before I found AZ RV Supercenter. One company (just to the east of them) repaired my generator to gas tank connection only to leave me stranded just hours later leaking gas in a Costco parking lot. One charged me so much for minor repairs I had to take out a second mortgage on my home and get a part time job. Is it sometimes hard to get a hold of the service department? Yes. Are they always exactly on time to complete the work? No. But the mechanical world of RV's and coaches is as unpredictable as any industry and the more thorough they are, the more time it takes to handle concerns. The more time it takes to handle my concern, the more your concern is pushed out into the future and vice versa. Above all those things I want honesty and fair pricing. I get that with these guys. I've learned to give RV service people a wide berth. I give 7-10 days longer for repairs than what I think I should allot and I have never been disappointed. I don't drop off my rig the week leading up to a holiday and I don't make unrealistic demands. I want them to be thorough and if, as is often the case, they find something wrong that wasn't part of the original issue I want it addressed for safety and peace of mind. Anna Marie runs the service department. You will recognize her as the one who gets things done. Nobody busts their butt more than that woman and it would be wise if you brought her flowers and/or chocolates routinely because she is so valuable to the process. Once, while at NASCAR, we blew a water pump on day one and had no idea what to do, so I called Anna Marie. She just happened to have a mobile unit working NASCAR and (although they were booked) within an hour she had the guy installing a new one in my rig. I expected to pay standard NASCAR gouging fees for the new water pump and they charged me what they would have charged if I would have brought it in to the shop. How's that for service? I have yet to deal with anyone who provides more honest service with similar pricing and I've been to a large handful over the years. Thank you Anna Marie and crew!

It took four hours to get someone there and repair it. The engine overheated because the cap wasn't tightened. Day 3: Another flat tire (different tire) same valve stem issue. I called customer service for a repair and had to call back 90 minutes later because ....crickets. They then said there wasn't someone within 100 miles who could help. i was driving across the country with my family and didn't even know where exactly I was but Google helped me find someone within 10 minutes. I paid over $4,000 dollars for this nightmare of an experience so when I sent in my formal complaint, I also asked for half of my money back. They acknowledged it's was their fault, offered me $119.00 refund (a single day's rental) and a $75 gift card for my next rental.... i'm not sure which is more ridiculous... their incredibly insincere offer or the thought that I would ever rent from them again.

STAY AWAY! The RV…read morewas a POS rattle machine. Side mirrors were unusable due to them rattling non-stop with wind on the freeway. Once we got to our destination, we discovered wires dangling on the ground under the RV. We took it to another cruise america nearby who confirmed the RV previously had a tire blow out and they didn't repair it appropriately. The other location was dumbfounded we were rented this unit. Ruined our first night. So many things on the interior were basically duct-taped back together. The list goes on and on. Then there was the bike rack... I asked upon picking this up if they rented bike racks, the guy who checked the RV out to me said yes. He was a nicer guy but miscommunicated that they rent them. He told me it was a $25 one time fee. When we got out to the RV and I asked, he said, oh no, we don't rent them I thought you meant unlocking the tow hitch to attach one. I told him we don't need this feature then and lets take it off. He said we can adjust it when I return the unit. He seemed nice enough, so went with it. Fast forward to the return. A different person at this location 'helped' us. In reality, this guy had absolutely no care about our experience what so ever. He didn't care about any of the issues and was hostile in his defense. He charged us for greywater when we emptied the tank and NEVER used it after. My assumption is they do this every time to every customer to rip them off. Before I could get the words out that we did not use the greywater and emptied it just prior to return, he had a video playing on his phone he claimed was 'proof' it was not empty. I have no way of knowing he didn't just turn the sink on before recording, because he took the RV back on his own. The guy flat out lied. That brings up another point. Soon as I arrived to return the RV I gave him the keys and followed him outside where I though we were going to look over the vehicle. When we were walking outside, he said nothing to me at all. He said nothing about hanging inside or what the next steps were, etc. He just jumped in the RV with me standing next to the driver door, shut the door and took off. 15 mins later he came back and charged my card without discussing any charges first. Since he was saying nothing to me, I jumped in that we needed to discuss the bike rack charge that should be reversed and other issues we had. Mr. Ego Trip this time said they don't rent bike rack, never have and don't rent boats (huh?!). He said I was 20 seconds too late and nothing could be done. Oh, and it's not $25 one time, it's $25 a day. It became crystal clear this guy was on a major authority kick, even though I was calm and collected. He constantly talked over me to the point I realized I better just work through corporate to have my complaints heard. I haven't had such hostile service anywhere, for anything. The guy clearly hates his job. That evening I received a call that my bike rake charges would be reversed or credited back to my account. To date, nothing has appeared in my bank. Two weeks ago I contacted customer relations for Cruise America via their website with a detailed list of every single issue. I heard nothing back. I followed back up a couple of days ago and still not a single response.
