I had heard some talk about CC's and had wanted to try it for quite a while. They are only open Monday through Friday until 4:00 pm. Living and working in the East valley made it hard, but we finally made it. This place is located on the first floor a big office building on Central, so you can't really see it when you pass it. Park in the parking garage (they validate) and take the elevator to the first floor. As soon as you walk out, it's right around the corner. We were greeted right away and told to pick whatever table we wanted. We chose a regular table, but they have high top tables and banquettes as well. There is breakfast on one side of the menu and lunch on the other. We wanted lunch, so didn't really even look on the breakfast side. We ordered jambalaya and shrimp etouffee which each came with a scoop of rice on top and a cornbread muffin. I probably wouldn't order the etouffee again, but I would definitely order the jambalaya, which was delicious!!! Don't make the mistake we made and not look at the breakfast menu, even if you want lunch. It wasn't until we were almost done eating that we noticed all the good things, like shrimp and grits and the Boss High Sandwich that were on the breakfast menu that were good for lunch. Now we have to go back for the shrimp and grits!

Have been waiting to stop by here for some creole food forever. It's tucked away in a business park in Central Phoenix. There's a parking garage and they do validate tickets. The restaurant was clean and colorful. We had a chance to meet the co-owner Sharon. Her son is the chef and other owner. We had to try the fried chicken! Also ordered jambalaya and red beans and rice. So good and flavorful. We came about an hour before closing, so unfortunately they were out of macaroni and cheese. Will have to try that next time. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We were too full to try dessert, maybe next time!

This place was complicated until we figured out the (bathrooms & parking). Today we had their Sunday Soul dinner and our favorite red Kool-Aid. The food was so worth the wait & drive. I love the music playing. If you're close enough, you can see the tvs and catch a game. Most of the servers are nice & attentive. Thankfully, they work on a partnering system so multiple people check on you.

Finally had the chance to try CC's, we opted to go for lunch. At first the vibes were off when we walked in, not sure why the bartender seemed annoyed by us but we definitely didn't feel welcome. We were told to seat ourselves, so we grabbed some menus and sat down. We ordered the praline French toast and the chicken salad. We asked if we can sub out the croissant for focaccia bread on the chicken salad, but were told the focaccia isn't ready. After asking for a time frame on how long for the bread, we were given a bit of a tude. Not sure what the deal was, but we thought about leaving at that point. Food came out and overall it was great. The French toast was unique and filled with flavor. Sweet caramel with nutmeg and a saltiness sprinkled on top, nothing I've ever had before. The chicken salad was simple, yet well put together. The focaccia bread was a good idea and glad we swapped it out. We asked for well done fries, but they didn't deliver on that part. Overall the food was really good but the service was meh. Thankfully the gentleman became much nicer midway through the meal and was pleasant afterward. They also offer a parking validation if you ask, we used the parking garage and it was free.

A Saturday morning visit minutes after opening. My first visit, you place your order at the counter, and then you seat yourself. Drinks and meals are brought to your table. You receive items in to-go form. The red beans and rice were the best item I had. The greens are spicy, the biscuit and cornbread were room temperature and should've been warmed. The fish and chicken were solid. The chicken could've had crisper skin. R&B music plays in the background

Great food. The fried chicken, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, fried okra, corn bread, ice tea, and cherry Kool-Aid was the bomb. We were there celebrating my husband's 74th Birthday . Our first time visiting this place. We will be back again.

Wing Wednesday special, Scallion Chili wings

Long story short, decent wings but pretty pricey and limited flavors. Came here on their wing Wednesday special, as I saw a post on instagram claiming this is Az new best wing spot. I first tried ordering from this place last Wednesday and there was no option online but in their instagram they claimed you can order online or call. So since the online option wasn't showing I decided to call and I got hung up on 3 times. I ended up not ordering and contacting the store via their direct instagram page to have the option for the wing special available online or be able to place over the phone take out orders..... This week I stopped in and had to pay for parking since they're located inside a private building, tried the only 2 flavors they had which was something called Dankin and the Chili Scallion wings. Flavor wise the wings were decent but they don't offer any dipping sauces on the side at all. I'd say even ATL wings have better seasoning to the wings. I will have to try something not in their specialty menu and comeback one day

This have to be the worst overprice stuff I seen I literally paid six dollars for half a hotlink cut in half on top of that. All my containers was filled with rice more than your étouffée which was thick and nasty and jambalaya, which was watered down with bland broth. The only thing good at this place is the wings.

We had our Valentine's Day party here for a social group that I belong to call Smart Set. It was fabulous!! The food was phenomenal. The service was good and we had the whole place to ourselves! Everyone there raved about the food. My husband absolutely adored the carrot cake that she made! If you're downtown Phoenix and you want some good soul food and some good flavorful food you've got to come to C's on Central! It's a must try!

I enjoyed a very good meal at CC's and would recommend this restaurant if you like soul food or chicken. Everything was well done and I look forward to going back soon. My lemonade was good too! Service, food, and validated parking... all great!

Stopped by for brunch during the week and we're sat right away. The space was clean and bright. Staff was pretty cold and distant at first but he seemed to make a change over the duration of our service. Maybe he needed some coffee or something to wake up. lol. For food, we chose the praline French toast which was unique and flavorful-I really enjoyed the texture of the crunchy exterior to the warm and soft interior! To mix it up, we opted for a chicken salad sandwich and fries and split both dishes. The chicken salad itself was pretty flavorful but felt like it was just a schmear of it and wasn't a lot for the price. The fries were so lackluster-I asked for well done and they were mostly soft and didn't have any seasoning. I'd say overall I'm content I got the chance to visit after seeing all the hype about it but to me it was more hype than it's worth because it was expensive for brunch so I but won't be rushing back anytime soon!

This place wasn't expecting a late brunch crowd a few Saturday's ago, service was great but spread thin, food was amazing but not severed immediately after prepared, so it could have been spectacular if it was served hot. Overall great experience, amazing food, will be back! Grits and greens +hotlink and the hot link poboy were had.

That Praline French Toast was so dang good. It's a 10/10 I. Flavor. Worth the 25 min drive.

Saw this restaurant and went there for the Praline French toast. Which did not disappoint. Service was great! And the atmosphere was cool.

What can I say about a terrific place to get some of the best cajun/creole food in the valley. The food is only surpassed by the lovely Sharon and chef/family, who run the Restaurant, making sure that you're having a great experience. If it's not right, they will fix it. read more

Coming from New Orleans to the desert, it has been extremely hard to find creole/Cajun/ soul food that is close to what I'm use to. I normally cook at home but what about when you don't feel like spending 12 hours to make a pot of red beans? Lol well, CC's has some of the best red beans I've had outside of NOLA. They were well seasoned and spicy! We were able to sample the Dank wings as well. no words does the flavor of those wings any justice! I was able to wash it all down with a couple of Hurricanes and an ice cold beer! We were able to find this hidden gem because I stumbled upon a flier announcing their grand opening/ crawfish boil. It's was a packed. The dj had the place filled with best r&b hits. The crawfish boil did not disappoint either. My tummy and taste buds were able to take a trip home without spending $500 on a plane ticket The owners are some of the nicest people I've ever met. They were on the floor all day with their servers and bartenders making sure their guests had everything they needed. I also got to chat it up with them and share some recipes and laughs! 100% recommend. They'll definitely see us again! I didn't to take a picture of everything we had because I was enjoying myself. read more

Bomb.com is all I have to say..... service is amazing and food outstanding.... The gumbo and shrimp grits are to die for BEST I've had in years ..... ambiance is peaceful and relaxing. Only thing, I wish is the hours were longer and they were open on weekends or had a happy hour going on. This is such a beautiful establishment. read more

I wish I had taken more photos. I finally was around the neighborhood to try out CC's. I first met Devan at a function where he served his famous chicken wings, and I was HOOKED. When he mentioned that his family opened a restaurant by my job, I just had to try it out and support the newest local family owned business. My friend ordered the Bayou Bowl, red beans w/ hot links and I had the Debris Po Boy. Pictured in my review is the Debris Po boy and the chicken wings with the chef himself. The food was absolutely delicious and portions were just right. We both enjoyed our dishes and plan to return to try the other items on the menu. The server, Elisa, was friendly and knowledgeable about the items on the menu. While she was tending to numerous tables, she would periodically come by to check on us if we needed anything. Chef Devan also stopped by the table briefly to talk to us about the restaurant and their catering services, and offered us some wings, which I would never turn away. Happy to see a different variety of cuisine open in this area! Definitely looking forward to trying new items on the menu and catering for large events. read more

AMAZING FOOD!!! Hands down some of the best Jambalaya I have ever had. The pancakes were fluffy w/amazing compote, and the french toast was unique and to die for. The tomato jam on the Breakfast Sandwich was amazing, and last but not least the DRY RUB wings were FANTASTIC. Absolutely unique and delicious!!! Food was extremely seasoned. To the point it was difficult to eat. Now having said that I recognize that that's my opinion and I'm a picky eater. Love that although I didn't enjoy breakfast they offered me a tasting of the jambalaya, red beans and rice as well as wings. The wings were cooked to crispy perfection yet the lemon pepper was overpowering. Would love to get a gain plain. Everything was just way too salty for me to enjoy. Will go back and give it another shot. As the people were absolutely fabulous and most definitely earn a shot at your business. Taste is subjective so this is definitely a time where i recommend seeing for yourself read more

The brunch food was great. Very well seasoned and delicious. I ordered the breakfast with chicken sausage , grits and eggs. I also ordered a side pancake. Please make sure to talk with your server if you have any substitutions or preferences as there are certain rules enforced for substituting with meals or sides. Overall the vibe and food was good. I plan to come back and try the soul food dinner and brings others to experience the food. read more

Great local midtown Phoenix spot, seriously authentic chef-driven southern cuisine, hidden gem. Tucked away in tall buildings, and fantastic service with a full bar...The breakfast sandwich with tomato jam was incredible, and breakfast burrito does everything you want it to with the house made salsa...Praline french toast is **chef's kiss** definitely worth every bite. read more

We just tried CC's for the first time today. Initially it was a little hard to find because it's tucked back off of Central between two parking garages. Our waitress was super friendly but gave us our space. The jambalaya and shrimp etouffe were absolutely delicious! Great spices and generous serving. It was a nice atmosphere but the floor was sticky otherwise I would have given it another star. read more

Was craving southern comfort/cajun cuisine and this place hit the spot. Wasn't sure about the shrimp etoufee since I'm used to having it with crawfish. But this did not disappoint. Loved that it wasn't a big chain restaurant. The staff are so welcoming and we enjoyed getting to know the owners. Well definitely will be back to check out Soulful Sunday Service! read more

As someone who is born and raised in Louisiana, I found it very weird that they give you a cup full of etoufee with no rice. I ordered via doordash so maybe i'm not sure how it is in store. The flavor is similar to home but the roux was not cooked thoroughly so the texture was off. read more

I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but if you get a chance to go on wing Wednesday's I would highly suggest it! Best wings I've had in some time. The dankenstein wings are seasoned to perfection and delicious. Took the top spot in my wing rotation. Just sucks I work on Wednesdays during the day time. read more

This place is crazy good! The food is fantastic! The service is great. The ambiance is very nice. We went on Sunday and the DJ was wonderful. The music wasn't too loud either. We can't wait to go back there and it will be soon. Sundays have the limited menu, desserts and the DJ. During the week it's a bigger menu and both look great. We don't have any pictures. We were so excited to eat the food. We forgot to take them. read more

Fantastic new find for us. we had the shrimp etoufee which was amazing. So authentic and flavorful.. The chicken wings "dankenstein style" were dry rubbed and had am amazing blend of spices. I def believe there was some creole seasoning combined with a tiny bit if faunt sweetness. Seasoned perfectly... honestly my favorite wings ever. not 1 bit greasy, glistening inside. Just crazy. My wife had the chicken Salad which sounds boring, but not this chicken salad. Great service. Friendly owner who was mentored by our fave Cali soul food chef. Just crazy good. We will be back... prob on Wing Wed again lol. A must try. 10 out of 10. read more

The food was absolutely amazing and definitely brought creole to Arizona! We ordered the shrimp and grits, debri and grits, lemon pepper wings, the dankestein wings, and the breakfast sandwich. Everything was amazing, the owner was right you definitely don't need ranch for the dankestein wings. Our server was very attentive, and was constantly checking on us. Along with the owners and the chef, they both came and greeted us as well as talked to us. They were super kind and very welcoming! I highly recommend coming to this restaurant if you want a welcoming environment and a taste a Creole! read more

We arrived at CCs at 5:35 Friday night Aug 23rd planning to have dinner before going to the theater. We didn't know it closed at 6PM. A friendly gentleman who said his name was Q informed us the kitchen was closed. My husband said "i was really looking forward to the jambalaya but I guess we'll go somewhere else." Q aid he'd talk to the kitchen staff and see what he could do for us. He returned, said, "don't worry, we'll take care of you." He took our order, brought our drinks and a few minutes later appeared with my husband's jumbylya ,and mt catfish po' boy with house made chips. Both were outstanding--fresh, flavorful and beautifully seasoned. As good as the food was, it was surpassed by the kind, thoughtful customer service! Q and staff may have gotten home a little late that night, but they found 2 customers for life! We're having lunch there with friends tomorrow! I'm only sorry giving CC;s more than 5 stars isn't an option--it's a perfect 10 in my opinion! read more

i ordered threw grubhub it took an hour an a half to get my food and when i did it was HORRIBLE. i ordered over easy eggs i got fried hard. the potatoes were mushy and burnt. the grits we like paste. i will never order from here again!!!!!! read more

We recently visited this restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience was far from welcoming. From the moment we walked in, the vibe felt off and uninviting. We ordered wings and simply asked if the sauce could be served on the side. The server immediately shut down our request, stating, "Our chef doesn't serve wings dry." While we found that a bit odd, we decided to move forward and order. Later, we asked for syrup to go with our French toast. Instead of syrup, we were given a different syrup type sauce that we didn't request. To make matters worse, when we received the bill, we noticed a $3 charge for it--something that was never mentioned beforehand. When we questioned the server about it, he claimed he had informed us of the extra charge, took no accountability, and was incredibly rude. Honestly, the food itself was mediocre at best, and the poor service only made the experience worse. If the staff had been more friendly, it might have salvaged the visit, but overall, both the food and service were disappointing. If I had to rate it, I'd give it a -100.
