Clean and friendly atmosphere. They observe Covid 19 safety precautions and still keep the dining room relaxed and running efficiently. We really enjoyed the food. Little "mom and pop" breakfast spot. It's like an old school diner where you pay at the front. I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict and a Belgian waffle. They should be ashamed to serve that "crab cake" to guests. It was flat and crispy and tasted like breadcrumbs with a pinch of crab. Very disappointed since our server(i think her name was Tamara) raved about all the Benedict's on the menu. I ate the eggs on top and left the rest. Waffle was good and the grits I ordered on the side were the best I've had at a restaurant. Prices were very reasonable. Only reason they're getting three stars. Our server checked back once and didn't give us a chance to answer when she asked if we were ok. She walked away right after as if she said it just to say she asked. The orange juice was ok, tasted cheap. Sweet tea was good. Another guest in my party ordered the home fries which contained no onions despite our server saying they were cooked in. There was also an egg shell in another Benedict we ordered. Wasn't able to let the server know since she never came back until we were completely finished. Also being a Philly native, please stop trying to recreate Philly cheesesteak items on the menu. The Philly omelette came with mozzarella. Who puts that on a Philly cheesesteak???? This is a mixed review so it's all a matter of taste . Half of my family loved it and the other half not so much . My moms sausage was cooked well but my daughters was really pale and not browned . The men said it's fine but me and my daughter didn't like the way it looked . We sent it back so the rest of her breakfast was cold by her time she got it back . My food was ok . I had an omelette. I hate giving the Spring house only 3 stars but I have no choice. Every person who works there that I have met are absolutely Wonderful. Its actually odd that so many nice people work in the same restaurant. From Hostess to waitresses to bus people they are Great. The problem I have is that I am there every weekend and occasionally during the week and I usually order breakfast. And for some reason I can NOT get the cook to make well done corned beef and well done hash browns !! I have been there when they are busy & slow , I've had all different waitresses , and I've even asked several different ways. But last week was the worst , I got shredded potatoes that the cook tried to throw in the fryer ( they were yellow and soaked in grease and not brown) and I got 1/2 a portion of corned beef that was cooked on 1 side. If I wasn't meeting other people there each time , I would have gone some place else by now. read more

Fantastic place!!!! Service was really great. The food was great too. I have the turkey and stuffing as did my sister. My husband decided on the meatloaf. He was hesitant because at another restaurant he got a meatloaf that wasn't any good. His meal and ours was very good. Food was hot and decent amount at a low price. We were camping in the area and decided to give this place a try for breakfast. We usually cook at our site but this morning it was a bit chilly out. We enjoyed our breakfast so much, we ended up eating at Springhouse for the remainder of the days we were in town. While the decor is a little dated for our taste, the staff were very friendly and work extremely hard. The menu offers a lot of options. The first morning, I opted for Eggs Benedict. The poached eggs were absolutely perfect! The hash browns were crispy on the outside yet moist on the inside. Amber was our server and she was amazing! The second day, I ordered a ham and cheese croissant. I didn't think I could top the eggs Benedict, but boy oh boy, was I wrong. That sandwich was so good!! Our last day, I had Sausage gravy and biscuits with hash browns. Again, it didn't disappoint but if I'm being honest, the first two selections were just on a different level. We visit this area quite a bit and while this was our first time visiting, we will be making frequent visits when camping there again! read more

Had a really good breakfast here this AM. Nothing fancy but the scrambled eggs were really good, hash browns extra crispy.....yum. First moved to the area about 2 years ago. Springhouse back then was a great place for brunch! The past 6 months to a year, it seems to have gone downhill. Even with not too many customers in the dining room, they still manage to bring me cold eggs, cold pancakes and even cold french fries. Inexpensive. That is what this place had going for it. Pretty good food, decent service, just not memorable. It had a fairly diverse menu and nothing was priced too high. The most odd part was that they had a bunch of birds in cages in a loft area. Very odd. I thought that perhaps it was like a live lobster tank and you picked out the bird you wanted to eat, but it turns out that was not the case (our children were relieved). Walked in this morning to have brunch went to the hostess and asked how long the wait would be and she took the two customers behind us before even answering us. Then came back to the desk and gave us an attitude when we asked again and she took a customers bill before we could be seated. When we were finally seated there were only two place settings set up. We then had to wait 15 minutes just for a waitress to greet us and take our order. The coffee here is terrible and tastes like coffee flavored water. 45 Minutes later our food finally came out (mind you we only ordered eggs and pancakes). Pancakes were hard, sausage links were super over cooked and I'm very disappointed with my overall experience here. They seemed like they were very understaffed for such a busy place. The restaurant was clean, but dated. The food was okay- nothing that made me say, " I HAVE to go back there". I had a problem with the hostess wearing open-toed sandals. That's a huge no-no in the restaurant business. The server took too long to greet us and to bring water. The place was not busy on a Wednesday morning, she had two - three tables, including us. Then there was the hooker giving a guy a hand job in a booth. While I don't have a problem with the act - it didn't need to be happening inside the restaurant. Have patroned this establishment many times and never had a problem until today. My young son wasn't behaving and began crying so we quickly ate and left. However on the way out the owner at the front made it a point to tell my husband just how awful our child was and how she couldn't take it. Very unprofessional!
