They were very polite and kept busy making sure customers were well taken care of. They don't seat incomplete parties, so keep that in mind. I ordered the Mexican Skillet. It had potatoes smothered with chorizo, beans, onions, green chili, and eggs. It also came with a tortilla. It was pretty good! I ordered a breakfast option that included bacon, sausage and ham. I asked to get extra bacon instead of sausage because I don't care for sausage much. When I got my food I got only bacon. The server took away my ham also. And then the bacon was extremely salty. I almost felt like pouring my water on the bacon to rinse off the salt. Very disappointing experience this time. read more

Our first time to the Bluebird Cafe was great and we hope to be back soon! We ate brunch fairly early on a Monday so service was quick which was nice. Our waiter didn't say his name but he was friendly and on top of drink refills and gave us time to just sit and chat since they weren't very busy. The decorations and overall atmosphere is charming and everything was clean. Cute ambiance for sure. I had the pineapple coconut pancake with scrambled eggs and bacon. The pancake was huge and had plenty of coconut and pineapple. The vanilla cream sauce with it was yummy too. My husband had the huevos rancheros with green chili and added chorizo. He said it was delicious and that the chorizo was pretty spicy. He was also raving about the seasoned potatoes side as well. Stop here for breakfast or lunch, you won't be disappointed! Deeeelicious food for cheap! We had a party of 3 at 11:15 on Saturday, 10/1/22. There was a 35 minute wait. I got the Chocolate Chip Pancake with Scrambled Eggs, add cheese, and Turkey Sausage ($10.69 + $1.39 (I think) for the cheese). The pancake was amaaaaaazing. The scrambled eggs were great! I could've done without the turkey sausage though. It was sooo much food and I had enough to take some to home. My husband got the Bacon Avocado Scramble ($11.29) and he really enjoyed it! It was a lot of food! I tried the potatoes and they were suuuuper good. Perfectly crispy and seasoned. My cousin got the Oatmeal Pancake with Scrambled Eggs and Bacon ($10.79). They were able to accommodate our party of four quickly. Our server was fantastic!!! Attentive, kind, very knowledgeable about the menu and options. I Am beyond upset right now. As a customer i have been coming to this place since it was Called the Egg & I. And have witnessed the different owners. Even got to personally know me and my family. Today i decided to stop by for breakfast. A male Server attended me. He was nice and friendly at first, i was even open to the breakfast burrito sugestión and adding a Pineapple/coconut pancake for an Additional $3, which i accepted. He also asked if i wanted ranch potatos which i was expecting my regular básica/simple ranch potatos i always get. Not no potatos with bacon,cheese & sour cream for an additional up charge when the check came my total was almost $36 and notice a $7.00 griddle up charge plus an addtl $3.00 pancake. I asked to speak to my server and he came with a hispánic lady w/ black hair light skin compleción, which appeared to be a manager. He explained to me that the $3.00 was a fee if i would of had Sustituted the bread, & I immediately knew he was just saying that to look good in front of his boss. So i looked at him and politely responded "but the burrito came with no Toast. and for him to be silly after all he had been the one to imply it was $3 for the pancake add on. Then they both left the lady said she would take the $10 off of my check and took my boxes pancake with her. Then came back alone and asked if i still wanted it, she would let me have it for Half off! I looked at her like... really? For starters I also waittress for a living and off the bat if I would've been put in a similar situation, as a courtesy I would've given it as a complimentary and maybe even a coupon for the next visit. Went here with my dad the other day to get some some breakfast. We were in town visiting from San Diego, and looking for a local spot. Well I'm glad we found this place so close to my cousins house. Staff were friendly, fast service, and was very accommodating. We got in and seated right away at opening but soon people were pouring in. We ordered coffee and left us a whole craft. I got the Chicken avocado omelette with fruit and wheat toast which was presented nicely, tasted great and I was most impressed with the fruit bowl as it had a nice variety of fruit unlike some places.
