THIS IS A SCAM. BEWARE: OR YOU'LL BE NEXT. I am 70 years old, and this is probably the worst experience I have ever had with a business, and that is saying a lot. I chose Blvd Movers because I was told by a sales rep (Matthew) that we could use zip bags in leiu of boxes. They quoted me a price of $4,025.00 for 35 zip bags and 35 boxes. When the movers arrived I was told that I had to pay $1200.00 for their boxes because they couldn't use zip bags after over an hour closer to 2 debating on the phone with their office they decided to accept the zip bags but then I was told that the price would be $7,200.00 because there more bags (but less boxes). the movers never counted the bags or boxes and it was moving day and we were scheduled to move out on that day so I borrowed the rest of the money just so we could get out and we had already given the owner the keys. Once the truck arrived at my new home, I was told that the truck could not unload on a residential street, but I called the City beforehand and asked about the delivery, and was told that it was ok. I live up the hill from an industrial area where they receive deliveries all the time. They told me that I needed to pay an additional $1050.00, because I would have to have a shuttle to move my contents, or they would be put in storage. I have Graves ' disease, and I use medical supplies and medication that are on that truck they are holding hostage. I was told they would reduce the cost to $600.00, and I explained that I didn't have any more money. read more

Whatever you do, do NOT select BLVD Moving to ship your household goods. They're incompetent beyond belief, there's no coordination, the left hand doesn't know what the right had is doing, and you can count on them to stretch the truth about the services they'll provide. I foolishly included antique glasses in my shipment. Three of the ten glasses were crushed. They encouraged me to file a claim and, when I did, they emailed me the following: "As per your contract, the standard liability is $0.60 per pound per article, of a damaged or missing item. After doing a final review, we can offer you a settlement of $200.00." That was their response to their negligence in destroying antique glasses that were passed down for generations. What's worse, other than their sales people, everyone else you'll encounter speaks English as a second or third language, and you'll be best served if you are fluent in Spanish or the Slavic languages. The crew that delivered my household goods could only speak a Slavic language, but they had no trouble with saying "You pay now" before unloading the first item off their truck. The crew who picked up my goods spoke Spanish with limited English, but their English was better than my Spanish. When I asked them how long it would take to receive my items 2100 miles away, one of them said I'd be "lucky to get them in two weeks." He was right, and BLVD Moving FIRED him for his candor once they found out about it. The problems only get worse with the distances involved, so if it's long-distance moving you're seeking, try their competitors.  Personally, I wish I had gone with United Van Lines or Mayflower, but it's much too late for that now.  They add no value whatsoever, and good luck if you sign with them.  Learn from my unfortunate experiences, and go with another carrier, BLVD Moving can't be trusted.​ ZERO STARS. read more

I had an extremely bad move with BLVD Moving. During the sales process they stated how the process would be conducted, and they did not do anything they promised. I have moved many times across the country, and this was the only time that I had items lost and over 30 different items broken. They were late for the pickup and delivered in two different shipments, with 20 days between shipments. I was told by their CEO, David Fimbres, that everything would be great, but that was far from the truth. I would move myself verses using BLVD Moving again. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! A Bait and Switch technique appears to be the way this company does business. They will provide a lowball estimate and then tack on multiple additional charges after they have you blocked in. This company's sales people will tell you everything you want to hear and will be super helpful, accommodating, communicative, and attentive UNTIL they get the contract signed and your deposit. From there on, ALL BETS ARE OFF!!! Bottom line, once they have your money AND even more so, once they have your belongings, NOTHING is as it was promised They will keep tacking on more and more special charges and fees until the amount you end up paying has only a distant resemblance to what you are quoted. My "salesman" was JOHNNY who I now refer to as "Jekyll and Hyde". He couldn't have been more communicative, pleasant, and responsive BEFORE he locked down the sale. He then became increasingly dishonest, avoidant, and just plain unprofessional!! You pay the full cost of the move in installments, and Johnny's unpleasantness increased exponentially after each payment. By the end of it, he was downright rude and nasty in his interactions and actually told me it wasn't his responsibility to explain all the extra costs up front because it was "in the documentation. I went back to review some of the documents and there are generalized/non-specific references to possible additional fees but there nothing specific, which is pretty standard for contract language by design. Also, if you've ever moved across the country, you know it's very hectic and stressful and although I acknowledge you should, you don't always have to time and mental focus to read all the small print in the paperwork and follow up to research and get more specific info before you agree. That's EXACTLY why it is (or at least should be) the salesman's job to explain all that to you upfront and to practice full disclosure rather than luring you into agreeing to the sale by omitting critical info. Ultimately we went with BLVD moving because of the "hard sell" and Johnny's assertion that the company was local and family-owned and stood by their service and reputation. WHAT A REGRETTABLE MISTAKE THAT WAS. This is the best moving experience I have ever had. Kevin and his guys (all 5 of them) worked hard for 10 hours to move a huge suite of office furniture to a smaller suite. They had to move the rest to trash and they took it in their truck. They were very careful with fragile items. The estimate was accurate and these guys went above and beyond to listen to us and accommodate our every request. They were courteous, smiling, considerate and just worked all day until past 6 p.m. We were all extremely happy. I would recommend them to anyone. Office moves are different and I have done a few. Worse experience I've ever had moving. They need a serious retraining in transparency, organization, and telling the truth. When I booked I was told it would take 2-5 days for my belongings to be delivered to my new apartment. Then a day before they picked up everything I was told 2-20 business days. At this point I couldn't change anything. The day they picked up everything I was told them would be at my place at 12pm and I would get a call 30 minutes ahead of time. They called at 8am and were already at my place. Giving me no time to drop my dogs at daycare. They had to be locked I. The bathroom while they loaded everything. The initial contact was great. We needed to move our property from Oregon to Anaheim & were flexible on dates. Richard was helpful, courteous & gave me the info I needed to make a decision. I booked the move, paid the deposit & scheduled my pick-up date. From there, things went downhill pretty quickly. I struggled to get any response from the company at all. I sent several emails, texts & voicemails, but was ghosted. I never had any contact with the person that was supposed to be my contact throughout my move, Tina, even after leaving several voicemails & emails, asking for a response. When I did reach a live person, it was never the same person, & I was always told the same thing, "as soon as we have information, someone will call you." Well, no one EVER called me. When the movers picked up my stuff, they were amazing. No complaints at all there. Andrei & Leo were the best! However, once they were done & we paid them the 2nd payment in cash, I was again ghosted. I couldn't get anyone to respond & all I wanted to know was when I could expect delivery of my belongings. When I finally talked to Yolanda, in dispatch, she told me, "as soon as we have information, someone will call you." She couldn't/wouldn't tell me where my stuff was being held--"in the warehouse"--but when I asked her where the warehouse was, she couldn't/wouldn't tell me. So, from June 12 until June 25, I had little to no contact with anyone from BLVD. The little contact I did have was useless--"someone will call you when we get information". But no one ever did. I finally was able to speak with Johnny on 6/24 & after going back & forth, he finally told me that dispatch had just contacted him & said we would get delivery between Wed & Fri this week. But I was told the same thing the past 2 weeks. So no big expectations. We finally got a call from the movers on Wed evening around 7:15 saying they would be here between 8 & 10 am the next day. I'll believe it when I see it. We get the house ready for the furniture by 8:00 am--and they show up a little after 10:00. Ok, no big deal-- they're here!! Yay!! I don't remember the main guy's name (I'm sorry) & Manuel got right to work. Everything made it with a few exceptions--some shelves from an antique cabinet (glass & wood) & there was some damage to a small table & a few new scratches to things, but at least it's over! I'm sure "someone will call me when they get information" about my missing items!! The guys were great & worked really hard. It's not their fault things go missing. They said our stuff didn't get downloaded off of the truck it was loaded on to, so it shouldn't have gone missing. Well, here's a pic of the truck that picked our stuff up in Oregon 6/12 & then the truck that arrived today in Anaheim. Pretty sure that's 2 different trucks! Plus, they were supposed to give me GPS info on my belongings so I could track where it was--never happened. I would NOT recommend BLVD for your moving needs. I hired them to move a studio apartment from Washington, DC to Chicago, selecting them because they were listed in Forbes as a top moving company that did not subcontract services. That turned out to be misleading -- and I wish I had looked deeper into the reviews before finalizing the contract. Despite my efforts to avoid surprise charges, BLVD added several last-minute fees: a charge for using the elevator, a "long carry" fee for walking more than 75 feet, a fee for transferring items to a smaller truck in Chicago, and even tried to tack on a stair fee (which was dropped only because there were just five steps). I was originally quoted delivery within 10 days and told I'd be contacted in advance. As the 10-day window approached with no updates, I called and was told delivery could take up to 21 days. The driver eventually called the day before the supposed delivery to confirm his arrival -- and gave me a final balance higher than what I actually owed, saying his paperwork didn't reflect my full payment. He told me I needed to fix it, even though he supposedly worked for the company (which, again, claims not to subcontract). Thankfully, I had kept a full email trail of every payment and interaction. I called the company to validate the correct balance, and they said they'd update the driver. The next day, I waited around all afternoon. No one came. After several unanswered calls, the driver finally picked up that evening to say he wouldn't be delivering that day and would come the following day instead. On delivery day, the issues continued: the movers again claimed I owed more than I did and refused to unload my items until it was sorted. Even more concerning -- they asked me to transfer the final payment directly to them, which felt uncomfortable and suspicious. I called the company immediately, and they provided the correct payment process. Another rep called me with a "rundown" -- which turned out to be a laundry list of new disclaimers, limitations, and fees that had somehow not been mentioned before. I felt my stomach drop. This was the first whiff of the scam. Then came moving day... or so I thought. No one showed up. Hours ticked by as I called over and over. Finally, four hours later, a rep casually told me that my "packing day" was actually a two-day window. This was pure fiction -- my contract stated a clear start date. They were covering for a colossal screw-up. Day two, a completely different company arrived -- they refused to even say their name, only calling themselves "the moving company." The truck they brought looked like it belonged to a college kid moving out of a studio apartment, not a professional mover handling a fully furnished three-bedroom home. The lead guy took one lap through the house, then announced we had "way more than what was quoted." Curious, since the quote came directly from BLVD after seeing this exact house. I called BLVD in real time -- no answer, no call back. While I was being ignored, the subcontractor came back with the real play: the cost to move us was now nearly double. In other words: pay up or your stuff doesn't go anywhere. This is the classic hostage-goods scam -- bait you with a lowball quote, then jack the price once your life is on the truck. I threw them out of my house. We pivoted on the spot, called a labor crew we trust, packed the entire house ourselves, rented three U-Hauls, drove the eight hours, and unloaded on the other side with a fresh team. The whole DIY operation cost 75% of BLVD's original quote -- and I guarantee if we'd let their subcontractors touch our belongings, we'd be paying triple and begging for our furniture back. BLVD Moving is not a moving company -- they are a predatory middleman running a grift. They take your money, hand you off to shady subcontractors, and let them squeeze you for everything you've got. She told me Mike had been out sick and took over my move. I got a call from Brian before my move to go over my moving details and he was a sweetheart. If I could leave 0 stars for this company I would. I cannot stress strongly enough to stay away from this company. As a retired military member I have moved over 14 times both domestically, and internationally. This includes my military career and post-military career and this experience with BLVD moving was by far the worst experience I have EVER had. First off, they will make a great pitch and quote you a great price but on the day of pick-up they demanded over $1700 more, this despite my having sold off a considerable amount of furniture and other items that were included in my original quote. I sold my living room sectional, outdoor sectional, washer and dryer, large gas griddle, and many other items and they said I exceeded my allotted space. They did not show up on the days they were scheduled to arrive. I had to constantly call to ask for any type of information on when they may arrive. Finally after constant hounding they provided a date on when they would arrive. The packing quality was extremely poor. They literally threw glass items into boxes without any type of wrapping and placed other hard items around them. We had a very large number of broken items and we are still counting, several days after delivery. When I first spoke with this company I clearly stated that I would not need my items going into storage and that we would like our stuff delivered directly to our home. It took almost 2 weeks for our stuff to get from St Louis, Mo, to Texas. All I got in response from this company was, "check your contract". Well nowhere in the contract does it state that we will not receive all of our items. It has been almost one week since our delivery and we are still missing numerous boxes and thousands of dollars worth of household items. We have made inquiries to this company and they are non-responsive since we have already paid them. I cannot stress enough that the best thing you could ever do is look elsewhere. I have moved many times and have never had a worse experience. I would have been much better off moving it all myself. Blvd Moving Review Nightmare on the BLVD! In March we contacted Blvd Moving about moving our daughter to New Orleans. I spoke with Brian several times and, per his advice and recommendations, we signed a binding agreement on March 26, 2025. With the dates that Brian dictated, a pick-up furniture date of May 15th and the last date of delivery in New Orleans on May 27, 2025. The window for last date for pick-up on the estimate was on the contract of May 19, 2025, no other dates were listed. We paid the first installment of the move and assumed everything was scheduled as we were told. Brian stated in March that I was scheduling my move early enough that there would not be a problem with the dates that he scheduled. My error at this point was in assuming the Brian and Blvd Moving were going to be an employee and a company of their word. This is NOT the case. Everything from that date on was deceit and lies. The movers arrived on May 16th to pick up the furniture. This was the first I received any information that our items were going directly into storage to be delivered at a later date. Brian was no longer in charge of our move at this point once items were picked up, we were moved to a different contact person, Tina. I called Tina immediately, stating my displeasure at the items going into storage. This conversation was also the first I was notified of a delivery date going into June 9th -per Tina words "you signed the Binding Estimate", however the binding estimate I signed on May 14th, 2025 had no such dates on it. The copy sent to me on May 15, 2025, had dates added. The Interstate Bill of Lading Contract which I signed on March 28, 2025, and again on May 15, 2025, had no delivery dates other than the generic delivery "period of time" is up to thirty (30) business weekday, not including storage time beginning on the first date indicated as available for delivery (not date of pickup). The date above (there is none on interstate bill of lading contract) indicates as "1st available for delivery is first date of the delivery period of time and not the promised delivery date." This wording on the contract you need a magnifying glass to read Please make sure ALL documents show all dates agreed upon in writing - do not trust anything this company states. I Called numerous times after May 20th and received different information each time - "items were shipped", or "no we think the items are in warehouse." May 29, 2025, had long and heated discussion with Johnny and he stated that if I wanted items by a specific date I should have paid the company $8,000 to 10,000 more. After a long conversation Johnny then promised that shipping of our furniture would happen June 3rd or 4th, and he would send me an email. I did not receive any emails and nothing was shipped. On May 30, 2025, Liz had no idea where the items were. And as the dispatcher, she said she had no way to contact the driver. Another lie because when I informed her that we needed to know at least a day ahead of time to reserve the loading zone and freight elevator, she said, "I will let the driver know." June 3, 2025 talked to Johnny who denied stating that he would ship items by June 3rd of 4th or that he would email. He had no idea when it would ship or where items were and again stated I should have paid $10,000 more to the company for better delivery. On June 5th we received a phone call from the delivery driver stating that the furniture would be delivered on Friday June 6th when it finally arrived. One person arrived to deliver and move all the furniture that was on the truck. Plastic bins were broken, boxes were smashed and a bookcase was broken. There was a book marked "Books - Heavy" stacked on a box of clothes, which was smashed down to half the size. Luckily it was just clothes. We did come out better than most customers with the amount of breakage though. The employees of the company lie to customers because there are no consequences of repercussions to them. They lie to the customers because very few people would be willing to accept an open-ended date to receive their property. There were no vehicle problems, no adverse weather, or medical problems. The company just does not have the capability to handle logistics to move property out of state. They took our money without having a plan in place to move the items. From the date of pickup to the arrival date it took this company 22 days to travel 1,284 miles. That is hardly efficient for any company, even adding other stops. Yes, we called a lot, but not every day, and only because they would not keep us informed of when we would be getting the property and kept lying to us. N.C., the business manager, responds the same way to every bad Yelp review, that he apologizes for any inconvenience but the customers should have read the fine print. In reality, he doesn't care or he would not have to keep responding to the same complaint, he would fix the problem. read more

On Monday, November 3, 2025 Boulevard Moving Company came to my residence at 15 Stonepine, Irvine, CA to move my furniture to Mesa, AZ. I had only one bedroom of furniture to move, not including a bed and used an average size moving truck. It took them about an hour and a half to pack, and move the boxes, piano into this truck. I was quoted for the total bill was $3,300. Five days later on Saturday, November 8, 2025 I get a phone call from Amadeo, the truck driver, asking me if an 18-wheeler truck will fit into the space to deliver my furniture. I said it probably could but it would be a tight squeeze. He then said he will check with his supervisor for a "shuttle", I am guessing this is a smaller truck like the one that picked up my furniture on November 3, 2025. I was charged $300.00 for this last minute change plus an "Elevator charge" of $75.00. I asked him why are you charging me for something that will make your job easier, he replied, "It is Company policy". On Saturday, November 8, 2025 I was instructed to pay with only Cashier's Check for the final payment of $1,115.50. I asked why they accepted my credit card in previous invoices but now it had to be a Cashier's Check and Jinge said, "It is Company Policy". This cost me $10.00. Scam alert! I feel so stupid that I went with this company after reading all of these reviews. BUYER BEWARE. My initial interactions with Richard Zarr went well. He was polite and professional And made so many and unkept promises. Unfortunately, he went dark after I paid my initial deposit and never answered the phone or return a message thereafter. I was handed off to a call-center team who were quite unresponsive and difficult to reach. My move date was set for 9/5. As the date approached, it was moved from 9/5 to 9/4, back to 9/5 and then they tried to move it to 9/6. This is where I put my foot down and insisted on the move taking place on 9/5. They initially provided me with a window of 2 PM to 4 PM on the moving date. At 4 PM the mover called me and said he was 2 hours away. They arrived at 6:48 pm. They completed the packing at 1 AM. Once the inventory was completed, I was asked to pay an additional $1500 for the move due to the box sizes that I had selected. Make sure that you understand that anything over the size of a medium box will entail an additional charge. On delivery delivery date I was told that Boulevard Moving had reviewed an aerial view of my property and the truck would not have access to drop off. I was told I'd have to pay an additional $800 for a shuttle service. I cried when I heard this! They did not end up charging this fee to me and I believe it is because I questioned it and threw a little bit of a fit. I was told that I would be sent a link and be able to track the travel of the moving truck. The movers said there is no app available. The ONLY redeeming aspect of this company was the delivery team. Willie and Martin did a great job. They were kind, friendly professional and efficient. ONCE WAS SAID AND DONE MY $4300 QUOTE BALLOONED UP TO OVER $7000. Buyer beware. Scammers! read more

What a disappointment! I contacted this business because it was a suggested post on facebook and it looked like people really liked this business. Long story short the customer service provided by Rosa was beyond horrible and unprofessional. Contacted Teo the owner and had my phone call transferred to Rosa. Never replied to my emails, text or phone calls. After 3 no show and appointment cancellations and taking the day off from work for nothing. I decided to cancel and use another moving company. Please read all reviews and look at customer pictures on this below average company. Like they say you pay for what you get. Whatever you do, don't use this company by any means necessary. They will charge you insane fees and keep adding them on as a surprise. The initial rate is not a real estimate and also half of my stuff was broken by their movers and they make you go through hoops just to get $100 back after you file a claim. Originally told me that they would get items in about tens day. Kept my stuff in their storage warehouse for approximately 3 weeks! 2 Broke my $450 45 inch TV in transport. Screen all cracked. Reimbursement is 25 CENTS PER POUND. That is approximately $12. Criminal 3. Broke my antique table that's over 100 years old. The driver GLUED the leg back on himself!!! Looks horrible. I paid an extra $800 to have BLVD pack my belongings and then unpack them when they arrived at the new location. The people who packed my items were great, very friendly, and packed things with care. However, the company was supposed to let me know when the items were loaded onto a semi from storage in Oregon and headed to Indiana, so I was not scrambling at the last second to drive 9 hours to get there and find babysitters for my grandchildren, whom I care for. Wendy from BLVD promised she would let me know when my items were in transit. I heard NOTHING from Wendy. I received a text message from the truck driver on a Sunday at 10:30 a.m. stating that he would deliver my items the next day between 12:00 and 7:00 p.m. I was sitting in Alabama at the time I received the message. It was very inconvenient and unprofessional that I heard nothing from BLVD or Wendy to have a heads up that my items were even in transit. I had spoken with Wendy just a few days before this, and she said the items were still in storage in Oregon. WRONG. They were already loaded and on their way to Indiana. Not only did we have to scramble to get to Indiana, but only ONE person was unloading our items. He only asked if I wanted him to put the beds together. SO WHAT DID I PAY $800 FOR? He just kept saying, "I am only the driver." Additionally, we have a box of kitchen items that is missing and contains broken items. Before I booked with BLVD, they sent me a video showing how the items were packed and loaded. I watched this video. The packers were great, but they did not pack according to the video. They put numbered stickers on our boxes and items, and I never received an itemized list of those numbers. So, I had to try to figure out from memory what was missing. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. In the future, I will just pack my own items and use a POD or drive them myself with a truck. read more

I scheduled a last minute move with Johnny. He was great and easy to work with. We scheduled an afternoon move because my new address was going to be ready in the afternoon. Moving time was agreed for 12pm-3pm. Johnny sent me a document to sign and asked for a $200 deposit. I paid the deposit. Afterwards, someone else called me to tell me that the dispatcher changed the move to the morning at 8am and could not be changed, which is NOT what I asked for or what I agreed to. My new address was not ready until 4pm. BLVD Moving has a 4 hour minimum and they charge double driving time if the new address is more than 10 miles away from the pick up address. In other words, any time longer than 3 hours of work is considered extra time. The fee for any hours beyond the 3 hours is $150/hour. As mentioned, my new address was not ready for another 6 hours and as a result I had to pay an additional $1100. This is all because the dispatcher ignored the document that I signed that clearly stated the time the moving was agreed to commence. Aside from the administrative issues, the movers themselves were great and quick. They helped me disassemble and reassemble my furniture. Movers told us on the day of the move that if everything doesn't fit then we would have to book another truck and wouldn't be for awhile. The movers damaged several items, like our kitchen table.
