From the start, there were issues with communication. After booking and partially paying, we could not get a hold of the company for approximately two weeks. When they came to pick up our items, they had believed we only had a bed and a couch (quoted at $3,000) to move from state to state. The price then went up due to not having all the items on the itemized list. We were told they were going to pick up between 10 am and 2 pm, they did not arrive until around 6 pm. Our expected delivery date went from 10-14 business days to 14-20. Once our stuff arrived, we were not given a 24 hour notice, but a 4 hour notice, to which it was then a federal holiday so banks were closed and we were unable to get a cashiers check, luckily they were able to take Zelle. They additionally tried to overcharge us, though we had documentation of the correct price as well as statements from what we had paid pre. Yet, when our stuff arrived we were extremely disappointed with the presentation of it, many boxes were smooshed, opened, and had water damage. We are also missing items that were not put on the list that they took (totaling around $400). We were told we are able to make claims and that we have a few months. We are estimating there will be $1,000 or more of damages. After our items were delivered, we received a call that our items were going to be delivered on the weekend (less than an 8 hour notice). Communication within the business seems to be a weak point which then affects the customers. I do not recommend this company. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Your stuff will be packed on one truck and put on another truck, and who knows if BLVD or a third party (or 2) will be the ones delivering it. So, we honestly have no idea how many times our possessions switched trucks. And each truck switch is an opportunity for something to get damaged and/or lost. We had BLVD come and pack up our stuff on 10/15/25. It was delivered on 10/21/25. I will edit & update this post as I have time, but I am currently under a time crunch. Why the time crunch? Well, the delivery driver told me I only had 30 days to file my 1 claim with the company & the email from BLVD says I have up to 9 months to file the claim. As BLVD contracted with 2 different 3rd parties at our final destination, I have a sneaking suspicion that if anything is the driver's fault (like the moving blankets he straight up stole from us) that if the claim is filed after 30 days, we're going to be screwed. Hopefully the most accurate review you'll read on BLVD moving. They get two stars because technically, when they see this and respond, they'll say they did everything they were supposed to do. They delivered our belongings on the 21st day - contracted for 14 business days which should've been Friday but they delivered on Saturday... not sure why they don't count weekends or holidays when they're clearly working. Luckily, I wasn't as unfortunate as some other folks whose reviews I've read. My price didn't double on moving day, nor did I have countless boxes not turn up with delivery. Hillary from the quotes dept was actually great. Where my disappointment enters: they have zero customer service. It is nowhere to be found. The department does not exist. My wife had a genius idea to place an AirTag in one of our boxes as well as in one of our cars that was being towed so we could track our belongings. Watched my cars beat us to our destination by a full 24 hours (don't use their car-towing partner either) and then proceeded to watch my belongings sit in a warehouse in Phoenix, AZ for 12 days. Daily calls after we got out to our destination (Indiana) and never once got an answer or a call back. I booked this trip more than three months in advance and now they have to "wait on a truck" - couldn't have figured that out earlier I guess. My favorite part was watching the AirTag pass right through my new town on Wednesday and still not be delivered until Saturday. Had to unpack other customers first because they were packed last.. make that make sense. Received one call during the process from Tina(?) in management and was promised follow up - never happened and definitely won't after this review! I know moving is never easy, especially across the country. While the loading and unloading is nice, not having to do it yourself, in hindsight I'd have rather saved the money and driven a U-Haul across the country. We spent more than two weeks in an Indiana winter without our belongings, but BLVD's representatives are still the coldest part about the experience. Just wanted updates! Blvd Moving is one of the worst companies I have ever worked with. I had a local move. The driver showed up alone and had to wait for his cousin to come help him. They were 3 hours late so the move ended up taking 2 days, that I had to pay more money to do. The second day they were 2 hours late. I wasn't offered movers insurance, the driver added it and chose what "he" wanted. The entire furnished house was all new furniture & appliances, firming the move MANY items were damaged! Now with that, it's been over a year and I STILL haven't been paid for the claim I filed. I call weekly and nobody ever answers. The few times I did speak with someone, I get empty promises and no calls back!! I'm calling The BBB and filing a report with them. Their business model seems to rely on telling customers whatever they want to hear in order to take their money, then completely failing to deliver on those promises. They picked up our furniture on the 30th and said they could deliver it by the 16th of the following month. That deadline came and went with no delivery and no proactive communication. When we called to find out what was happening, our belongings were still sitting in their warehouse in Los Angeles. The sales representative, Brent, had assured us there would be "no problem" meeting the delivery date. That was simply not true. After countless phone calls, excuses, and runarounds, our furniture was finally delivered nearly a full month late. I have a very bad experience with my moving. They don't have any care on the items they are moving. Also broke my TV display panel. Even they are saying all the furniture and items they will wrap with cushions, they will just wrap around with a plastic wrapping sheet. So lot of damage happened to furniture and bed. Also all the fabric area become completely dirty. Once it's reached in destination, there is no wrapping sheet in lot of places and wherever the wrapping sheet is not there there are all lot of black hand marks and completely dirty. There are lot of hand marks on the white bed and I am not able to clean it. Secondly about TV, I asked them multiple times to wrap the TV is some box and they said they are the experts in the moving TV and just wrapped with a thin blanket and when it's reached in destination, it's panel is broken. That is their expertise. And they are saying it's not broken, even the display is broken. Third, even they are saying, they are charging for a flat rate for local moving , their calculatios are very weird. Origin to destination travel time they will double. Also they will settle all the amount before unloading it in destination. In my situation they took 1Hr 45 minutes for loading( they round it as 2 hour) . 15 minutes travel they double it as 30 minutes. And when they reached in destination, before unloading, they asked me to sign and pay the money. For that they calculated the unloading time as 1 Hr 45 minutes , but in reality they took less than 1 hour only. So total they charged me for 4 hr 15 minutes. But they actually spend only 3 hours. Fourth. Their furniture dismantle and assembly is the worst. They will use driller screw driver and one guy in that doesn't know when it need to stop. Even the screw is tight, he will continue and that led to damage for all screwing that he did. After all these damage happened, I requested for a claim for my TV damage alone and for that they are offered for a settlement amount with that I can buy a pack of peanut only. So don't ever go with these guys. I think, if we hire a local worker from in front of home depot, he will take care the items better than these guys read more

Worst mover experience ever. They cancelled on us initially. The movers got in the late and the the day after the contract expired then charged us an additional 2500 on top of it. Customer service is a joke. Billing is a joke. Management is a joke. Given the lack of communication, bait and switch, the initial cancellation and general demeanor of the BLVD moving team I will be filing for a partial dispute with the credit card company. You cannot hold a contract overhead when you've already breached it multiple times. I wish BLVD nothing but the absolute worst in the company's endeavor. The actions and behaviors put forth by your corporate representatives and managers is appalling. I never thought there was a worse company than Spirit Airlines and somehow BLVD manages to edge them out of first place. 70% of our items came today and the others were left behind because "they couldn't fit it". Couches had feet removed that are now missing. Bolts and screws lost. The cherry on top is nothing was packed properly or disassembled and every single box and piece of furniture was damage. Multiple lamps were not disassembled and packed. They showed up either snapped and broken or bent. Truly the absolute worst experience and quality of any mover I've ever worked with. Nothing. Absolute nothing arrived in the shape or condition it was was packed in. Last month we had them do a move of partial furnitures from a 2-bedroom apt in West Hollywood to a storage in our Whittier building. They gave us a quote of $800 and at the end asked for $200 extra due to traffic... which we gladly paid. On 12/16/2025 we had to move furniture out of another furnished apt in the SAME West Hollywood building to SAME Whittier storage. Matthew (manager) gave us a quote of $740 in an email. When offloading the furniture, their mover Ricardo called asking for additional $1,720 (total price more than tripled to $2,460)! I asked him why, he said he decided to use blankets and bubbles to wrap all 10 pictures and cheap art pieces, without getting an approval from us. Art work and pics are worth $500 and just the wrapping came to $750, plus extra driving hours (was exact same distance as last time) came to $1,720 EXTRA (total $2,460)! He said if we don't pay he wont off load furniture and will call the police on us! I paid him via credit card, called his manager Matthew Buxton the next morning, he listened and told me will call me back, never called and now he wont answer my phone calls. we manage 23 buildings and had started giving them lot of business. Whatever you do, do NOT select BLVD Moving to ship your household goods. They're incompetent beyond belief, there's no coordination, the left hand doesn't know what the right had is doing, and you can count on them to stretch the truth about the services they'll provide. I foolishly included antique glasses in my shipment. Three of the ten glasses were crushed. They encouraged me to file a claim and, when I did, they emailed me the following: "As per your contract, the standard liability is $0.60 per pound per article, of a damaged or missing item. After doing a final review, we can offer you a settlement of $200.00." That was their response to their negligence in destroying antique glasses that were passed down for generations. What's worse, other than their sales people, everyone else you'll encounter speaks English as a second or third language, and you'll be best served if you are fluent in Spanish or the Slavic languages. The crew that delivered my household goods could only speak a Slavic language, but they had no trouble with saying "You pay now" before unloading the first item off their truck. The crew who picked up my goods spoke Spanish with limited English, but their English was better than my Spanish. When I asked them how long it would take to receive my items 2100 miles away, one of them said I'd be "lucky to get them in two weeks." He was right, and BLVD Moving FIRED him for his candor once they found out about it. The problems only get worse with the distances involved, so if it's long-distance moving you're seeking, try their competitors.  Personally, I wish I had gone with United Van Lines or Mayflower, but it's much too late for that now.  They add no value whatsoever, and good luck if you sign with them.  Learn from my unfortunate experiences, and go with another carrier, BLVD Moving can't be trusted.​ ZERO STARS. read more

I strongly caution anyone from using this service. Not only did they double our quote the day of our move but an employee stole a credit card and we have fraudulent purchases on our card for places just a few blocks from their headquarters. We moved from central California to New Mexico. As it was our first out of state move, we decided to hire a moving service as we have an 18 month and wanted to make things easier. I was initially put in touch with Matt Freedman and he became our account rep. His initial quote was about $2000 more than the other quotes I got. But we decided to move forward with BLVD moving as they are a smaller, family run company. we always try to use smaller companies wherever we can. Matt seemed great initially, and our quote came in at $8900. i was assured I could pay using a card, as we were being reimbursed from my husbands company for the move. We paid a $2500 deposit and booked the move. The day of moving, the movers arrived 8 hours later than initially expected and demanded nearly $17000 to move our items. This being double our quote, we were put in touch with manager Tina Talman who assured us she would be figuring out the disconnect of pricing. In the meantime my husband rented a Uhaul trailer and packed as much as he could fit in it to lower the bid. Our new bid came in at $10500. Which we accepted as we had to be in New Mexico In 2 days and our hands were tied. Upon finishing the pack, the movers then stated we had to pay at least 1/2 of our balance in either cash, zelle, Venmo, or a cashiers check. We couldn't use a card. All our items were already packed up in the truck. So again we spoke to Tina. Who, again, assured us she would be auditing the disconnect between her sales team, the team that ensures the quotes are accurate to the videos you provide, and the movers. And would get back to us in 2 business days. We paid the largest amount We could Zelle at 7pm to a stranger, and paid another $1000. After the movers took possession of our items, we had to repeatedly call and text Tina to get any sort of ETA for our items to arrive. All she would do would say she had a huge company meeting on Tuesday April 7th and could only provide us an audit after that date. We moved April 30th, the audit was supposed to be done April 2nd. It's now April 10th. Nothing. The company was paid in full, and they are radio silent. Today we got a call from the credit card company stating we have fraudulent charges from California. These charges were made not even 2 blocks from BLVD headquarters. When I say dealing with this company has been hell, there just aren't adequate words. Everyone at this company has been pure evil. The only thing I can do is pray for their souls and hope they correct all of their fraud, and stop scamming people. Im hoping that this review will caution people from using their services. We have filed claims with the California state board and the BBB as the company will not reform to any call, text, or email from us. I strongly advise anyone to this company. Our items arrived, covered in dirt and we are missing boxes. Many dishes and decor that were packed by BLVD moving were broken, along with some small appliances. Matt, Tina, nor their customer service department will call, email or text my husband or I back. BUYER BEWARE!!! A Bait and Switch technique appears to be the way this company does business. They will provide a lowball estimate and then tack on multiple additional charges after they have you blocked in. This company's sales people will tell you everything you want to hear and will be super helpful, accommodating, communicative, and attentive UNTIL they get the contract signed and your deposit. From there on, ALL BETS ARE OFF!!! Bottom line, once they have your money AND even more so, once they have your belongings, NOTHING is as it was promised They will keep tacking on more and more special charges and fees until the amount you end up paying has only a distant resemblance to what you are quoted. My "salesman" was JOHNNY who I now refer to as "Jekyll and Hyde". He couldn't have been more communicative, pleasant, and responsive BEFORE he locked down the sale. He then became increasingly dishonest, avoidant, and just plain unprofessional!! You pay the full cost of the move in installments, and Johnny's unpleasantness increased exponentially after each payment. By the end of it, he was downright rude and nasty in his interactions and actually told me it wasn't his responsibility to explain all the extra costs up front because it was "in the documentation. I went back to review some of the documents and there are generalized/non-specific references to possible additional fees but there nothing specific, which is pretty standard for contract language by design. Also, if you've ever moved across the country, you know it's very hectic and stressful and although I acknowledge you should, you don't always have to time and mental focus to read all the small print in the paperwork and follow up to research and get more specific info before you agree. That's EXACTLY why it is (or at least should be) the salesman's job to explain all that to you upfront and to practice full disclosure rather than luring you into agreeing to the sale by omitting critical info. Ultimately we went with BLVD moving because of the "hard sell" and Johnny's assertion that the company was local and family-owned and stood by their service and reputation. WHAT A REGRETTABLE MISTAKE THAT WAS. On top of that they picked up MORE items and then they CHARGED me $500 more when it was their fault they were unable to follow the inventory list. It wasn't the same team but our deliver driver was great. The only issue is that he unloaded everything himself which seemed kinda insane. THIS IS A SCAM. BEWARE: OR YOU'LL BE NEXT. I am 70 years old, and this is probably the worst experience I have ever had with a business, and that is saying a lot. I chose Blvd Movers because I was told by a sales rep (Matthew) that we could use zip bags in leiu of boxes. They quoted me a price of $4,025.00 for 35 zip bags and 35 boxes. When the movers arrived I was told that I had to pay $1200.00 for their boxes because they couldn't use zip bags after over an hour closer to 2 debating on the phone with their office they decided to accept the zip bags but then I was told that the price would be $7,200.00 because there more bags (but less boxes). the movers never counted the bags or boxes and it was moving day and we were scheduled to move out on that day so I borrowed the rest of the money just so we could get out and we had already given the owner the keys. Once the truck arrived at my new home, I was told that the truck could not unload on a residential street, but I called the City beforehand and asked about the delivery, and was told that it was ok. I live up the hill from an industrial area where they receive deliveries all the time. They told me that I needed to pay an additional $1050.00, because I would have to have a shuttle to move my contents, or they would be put in storage. I have Graves ' disease, and I use medical supplies and medication that are on that truck they are holding hostage. I was told they would reduce the cost to $600.00, and I explained that I didn't have any more money. read more

I had an extremely bad move with BLVD Moving. During the sales process they stated how the process would be conducted, and they did not do anything they promised. I have moved many times across the country, and this was the only time that I had items lost and over 30 different items broken. They were late for the pickup and delivered in two different shipments, with 20 days between shipments. We move to a new town, day of said date of delivery. No comms, no texts, no calls, no emails. Reach out and said we would get a call back in 2 hours. Nothing. Reached out now saying we won't be delivering today now there is a 7 day window of when we would deliver it. Did not initially tell us this. By the 4th day within the 7 day window I had to go out of my way to get a delivery date. Once everything was delivered, we had an item broken. The initial contact was great. We needed to move our property from Oregon to Anaheim & were flexible on dates. Richard was helpful, courteous & gave me the info I needed to make a decision. I booked the move, paid the deposit & scheduled my pick-up date. From there, things went downhill pretty quickly. I struggled to get any response from the company at all. I sent several emails, texts & voicemails, but was ghosted. I never had any contact with the person that was supposed to be my contact throughout my move, Tina, even after leaving several voicemails & emails, asking for a response. When the movers picked up my stuff, they were amazing. No complaints at all there. Andrei & Leo were the best! However, once they were done & we paid them the 2nd payment in cash, I was again ghosted. I couldn't get anyone to respond & all I wanted to know was when I could expect delivery of my belongings. When I finally talked to Yolanda, in dispatch, she told me, "as soon as we have information, someone will call you." She couldn't/wouldn't tell me where my stuff was being held--"in the warehouse"--but when I asked her where the warehouse was, she couldn't/wouldn't tell me. So, from June 12 until June 25, I had little to no contact with anyone from BLVD. The little contact I did have was useless--"someone will call you when we get information". But no one ever did. I finally was able to speak with Johnny on 6/24 & after going back & forth, he finally told me that dispatch had just contacted him & said we would get delivery between Wed & Fri this week. But I was told the same thing the past 2 weeks. So no big expectations. We finally got a call from the movers on Wed evening around 7:15 saying they would be here between 8 & 10 am the next day. I'll believe it when I see it. We get the house ready for the furniture by 8:00 am--and they show up a little after 10:00. Ok, no big deal-- they're here!! Yay!! I don't remember the main guy's name (I'm sorry) & Manuel got right to work. Everything made it with a few exceptions--some shelves from an antique cabinet (glass & wood) & there was some damage to a small table & a few new scratches to things, but at least it's over! I'm sure "someone will call me when they get information" about my missing items!! The guys were great & worked really hard. It's not their fault things go missing. They said our stuff didn't get downloaded off of the truck it was loaded on to, so it shouldn't have gone missing. Well, here's a pic of the truck that picked our stuff up in Oregon 6/12 & then the truck that arrived today in Anaheim. Pretty sure that's 2 different trucks! Plus, they were supposed to give me GPS info on my belongings so I could track where it was--never happened. I would not recommend BLVD Moving due to the lack of communication once they have you hooked & booked, the misinformation they give during the "sales pitch", and the horrible customer service during the entire event. This is the best moving experience I have ever had. Kevin and his guys (all 5 of them) worked hard for 10 hours to move a huge suite of office furniture to a smaller suite. They had to move the rest to trash and they took it in their truck. They were very careful with fragile items. The estimate was accurate and these guys went above and beyond to listen to us and accommodate our every request. They were courteous, smiling, considerate and just worked all day until past 6 p.m. We were all extremely happy. I would recommend them to anyone. Office moves are different and I have done a few. This was beyond good. We are all happy and the price was right. read more

I would NOT recommend BLVD for your moving needs. I hired them to move a studio apartment from Washington, DC to Chicago, selecting them because they were listed in Forbes as a top moving company that did not subcontract services. That turned out to be misleading -- and I wish I had looked deeper into the reviews before finalizing the contract. Despite my efforts to avoid surprise charges, BLVD added several last-minute fees: a charge for using the elevator, a "long carry" fee for walking more than 75 feet, a fee for transferring items to a smaller truck in Chicago, and even tried to tack on a stair fee (which was dropped only because there were just five steps). I was originally quoted delivery within 10 days and told I'd be contacted in advance. As the 10-day window approached with no updates, I called and was told delivery could take up to 21 days. The driver eventually called the day before the supposed delivery to confirm his arrival -- and gave me a final balance higher than what I actually owed, saying his paperwork didn't reflect my full payment. He told me I needed to fix it, even though he supposedly worked for the company (which, again, claims not to subcontract). Thankfully, I had kept a full email trail of every payment and interaction. I called the company to validate the correct balance, and they said they'd update the driver. The next day, I waited around all afternoon. No one came. After several unanswered calls, the driver finally picked up that evening to say he wouldn't be delivering that day and would come the following day instead. On delivery day, the issues continued: the movers again claimed I owed more than I did and refused to unload my items until it was sorted. Even more concerning -- they asked me to transfer the final payment directly to them, which felt uncomfortable and suspicious. I called the company immediately, and they provided the correct payment process. Overall, this company -- and the people they send to do the work -- were unresponsive, disorganized, and borderline unprofessional. The entire experience felt like one big scam. From the very first call, Janice at BLVD spun me a golden fantasy: "We'll handle everything. You won't have to lift a finger." She spoke like this was going to be a luxury white-glove experience for our long-distance move. We even did a full video walkthrough with their team so they could give an accurate quote -- every box, every piece of furniture accounted for. I thought I was buying peace of mind. The second I paid the deposit, the mask slipped. Another rep called me with a "rundown" -- which turned out to be a laundry list of new disclaimers, limitations, and fees that had somehow not been mentioned before. I felt my stomach drop. This was the first whiff of the scam. Then came moving day... or so I thought. No one showed up. Hours ticked by as I called over and over. Finally, four hours later, a rep casually told me that my "packing day" was actually a two-day window. This was pure fiction -- my contract stated a clear start date. They were covering for a colossal screw-up. Day two, a completely different company arrived -- they refused to even say their name, only calling themselves "the moving company." The truck they brought looked like it belonged to a college kid moving out of a studio apartment, not a professional mover handling a fully furnished three-bedroom home. The lead guy took one lap through the house, then announced we had "way more than what was quoted." Curious, since the quote came directly from BLVD after seeing this exact house. I called BLVD in real time -- no answer, no call back. While I was being ignored, the subcontractor came back with the real play: the cost to move us was now nearly double. In other words: pay up or your stuff doesn't go anywhere. This is the classic hostage-goods scam -- bait you with a lowball quote, then jack the price once your life is on the truck. I threw them out of my house. We pivoted on the spot, called a labor crew we trust, packed the entire house ourselves, rented three U-Hauls, drove the eight hours, and unloaded on the other side with a fresh team. The whole DIY operation cost 75% of BLVD's original quote -- and I guarantee if we'd let their subcontractors touch our belongings, we'd be paying triple and begging for our furniture back. BLVD Moving is not a moving company -- they are a predatory middleman running a grift. They take your money, hand you off to shady subcontractors, and let them squeeze you for everything you've got.
