    Smoked brisket w/baked potato

I got a baked potato with brisket from the BBQ place. The potato was undercooked and they didn't have any cheese (that was supposed to be included). They didn't tell me, then when I asked for some and was told there was none, there was no concern or apology. The brisket was not great. My kids got the fried chicken sandwiches from the main restaurant and liked them, but for $17 way too expensive and only came with chips. A soda water was $5.

Great outdoor boating spot for live music, food and drink - accessible off Chicago's bike path across from soldier field and northerly island. So when at a concert and have time to kill stop by for a drink - food - music and atmosphere

Stopped here during my walk today for lunch. I got the mahi-mahi wrap, which came with kettle chips, a pickle, and coleslaw. This was a great deal for only $13. The wrap is priced at $10, with an additional $2 to add the fish. The wrap was just okay. It was supposed to come with spinach, cheese, mayo, and tomatoes. However, the cheese was missing, and there wasn't much mayo. Honestly, the wrap lacked taste and flavor. It was so bland that I had to request some ranch. Once I got the ranch, it tasted a whole lot better.

Great food and vibes along the water. Plenty of tvs and sitting options at the bar or by the live band. Great service and selection of drinks. The beef is one of the best menu items!!!

Location is a perfect spot for this to be a hidden gem. Boat beach feeling with a great setup. Bar by the water and a raised wood deck with couches and benches. It's great to have a drink and be next to the water. The music was great as well. The guy here the night we went was really good and it wasn't too loud where you couldn't converse but at the same time was great quality music. The food was so so but the vibe and location make this a great place. We will be back

Fun atmosphere, good drinks and great views. Just could use some additional bartenders for busy times (Sat evenings) but would def recommend a visit before shows at Northerly Island or Soldier Field.

Great place to chill - live music nightly. When we were there in June they were making improvements to the expanded deck area under the trees. (Be ware of bold Canada Geese...)

    Drinks with a view!

I don't often give 5 stars for restaurants that aren't Michelin level, but we had what was basically a perfect experience at Boat Drinks this past weekend. First, we were lucky to snag a table in the shade, on the water...our server Jesse was amazing...both friendly and attentive...drinks were great, and I thought reasonably priced for a bar/restaurant right on the Lake.... And finally, they serve an absolutely PERFECT grilled cheese. Nothing fancy...just a perfectly greasy, perfectly grilled, sandwich on cheap white bread, with a ton of melted American cheese. Seriously...nothing goes better with a sunny day at the harbor!! You can thank me later. I can guarantee I'll be back...I'll be the one with the yummy grilled cheese sandwich. Cheers!!

Great atmosphere and great live music. Portions and prices could use some work. Extremely pricy for the quality and portion of the food.

This place is a hidden gem in the south loop, great food, live music almost every night in the summer and reasonably cheap drinks.

The bright aesethics of Mexican heritage and decor celebrating local artists make the space inspiring and energizing. The coffee was great. The staff were really welcoming, for an early morning. I got the hot chocolate. Honestly that's exactly what I needed that morning. It had that real Mexican chocolate taste. Thick, creamy, smooth and rich. The cinnamon came through warm but not too strong, plus a little extra on top that hit your nose before the first sip. Sweet and it almost had this slight earthy note too... hard to explain but good. It even had that little design on top, like the ones they do on cappuccinos. Didn't expect that but it was cool. I finished it slow. Didn't wanna rush it. Just sat there taking small sips and enjoying it while it was still hot.

Plus it was a gorgeous day and several outside tables were used. For food, I got the steak bowl which was really tasty and fresh. Nice blend of flavors. Portion size could have been a little bigger for $24 but I didn't go away hungry. But what really got the 5 stars was the service - I wasn't a big check by any means but several people checked on me without being obtrusive. Just the right balance. Talked through the menu, friendly and genuinely helpful.

My group was made to feel like an inconvenience - we felt rushed even though we didn't take long to order, or linger after paying, and we were polite while ordering plenty of dishes and drinks. A number of people in our party also work in the service industry, so we try to be mindful of all of these factors. We didn't receive one of the ordered sides, and this was obviously not the server's fault, but a number of items we attempted to order were unavailable (oysters, saturn cocktail, milk & cookies dessert) and it wasn't really acknowledged. Again, this was a birthday reservation and we were brought the check without being asked if we would like to order dessert. Then, when we did order dessert, there was no candle. I understand some restaurants don't provide candles...but a table next to us was given a candle. A disappointing experience - I had been looking forward to trying Oliver's since they opened.

We got there around 8am on 06/18/26 and the place was kind of empty. We stood for awhile waiting to be seated. Finally a lady said she would take us to a table but that they were all dirty. We kind of looked at each other puzzled. She kept mentioning that they were dirty and weren't cleaned yet but seated us at a high top that hadn't been cleaned and tried to clean it herself. We wanted a window seat so we accepted it. It seemed fine after she cleaned it. It was just a strange way to bring us into the restaurant before the tables were cleaned. We could have stood by the door and waited some more. But the service and food were very good! Our server was Jose, who was excellent while checking on us several times to make sure everything was good. The vanilla latte that he recommended was delicious! I ordered the 3 Egg Ham 'n Cheese Omelet with mushrooms and my daughter had the Eggs Benedict. Both were cooked perfectly and seasoned correctly. Yummy! Then we shared the vodka rigatoni, and the portion was definitely big enough for two people to split. So creamy, comforting, and really good. The calm, bright Mediterranean interior welcomes you into what feels like a cool summer day. The tasting menu delivered from start to finish. The Manchego cracker came out crispy with a light creamy interior from the cheese and a hint of saltiness from the ham on top. The roasted mussel toast was next abundant mussels paired with Calabrian chili butter that took it over the edge, one of my favorites from the meal. The pasta was fresh and light with a deeply flavored sausage that complemented it well. The prime picanha closed out the savory courses perfectly tender, juicy, and the romesco sauce alongside brought a nice lightly sweet and smoky balance. Dessert was the pistachio which I don't typically gravitate toward but this one was well balanced and a nice finish to a great tasting menu.
