My husband and I stopped here for breakfast one morning while on vacation. The place appeared to be busy. We were seated in a booth quickly. The seats of the booth were dirty, so I brushed them off with a napkin. We both ordered breakfast. My scrambled eggs looked like they had been sitting under a heat lamp all morning. My bacon was very well done and the home fries were still fairly hard. The bathrooms were dirty and disgusting. There was paper all over the floor. Upon leaving, we had to wait in a long line to be checked out. The cashier couldn't figure out how to ring up some guys biscuits so he called over 2 managers who were no help to him and neither one bothered to open a register to help. We went in the evening around 7:30 with a group of 12. We waited around 20 minutes to be seated even though the restaurant was not busy. Once seated it still took quite a bit to get our drink order in and then to take our food order. It took a while for the food to come out and it seem like some items had been sitting for quite a while as they were cold and the top pancakes were actually tough. Two in our party drank decaf coffee while waiting and actually got stomachaches and could not eat their food when it arrived. Getting drink refills was also difficult. Avoid this Bob Evans restaurant all costs. The service is appalling and the management is not taking action to fix it. There are better restaurants in Branson that you can go to and they have much better service and their staff actually enjoys taking care of their customers. I had breakfast at this restaurant in July. The server provided the most disgraceful rude and obnoxious service that I have ever seen in any restaurant. I phoned the Bob Evans restaurant management to discuss it but they did not return my phone call to discuss I and the neither did the Bob Evans corporate office. Food tastes like Grandmas comfort food. Warm, yummy and satisfying! The sausage gravy is out of this world! Great portions as well. Only complaint is long wait time and slow service, otherwise I would give it 5 stars. It's understandable as it is always very busy, maybe they need more staff. Been waiting to try Bob Evans for several years now. The food was decent try the chicken fried steak with the mashed potatoes. The service was mediocre, the waitress never refilled the drinks and paying $2.59 for sweet tea except to get continuous refills. When went to pay the guy at the register took about 10 minutes to wait on a customer buying knick knack stuff when he finally finished with her he told us that was waiting in line to pay he was going to lunch and we had to wait for another person to come and check us out. Great food and even better prices. Got country fried steak and macaroni and cheese. The steak was so tender you could cut it with a fork. The mac and cheese was very good though it was a little cold. We moved from MD to TX in 2008, and one of the things we miss so much is Bob Evans for breakfast. The food is outstanding for American breakfast fare. This visit to Branson was made sweeter by having a chance to visit Bob Evans. The meats are so flavorful, the biscuits are buttery and fluffy, and the sausage gravy is to die for. My man got a pot roast dish for breakfast that was so good I stole way too many bites! The service was friendly and the place was clean. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is it took a long time for our food to come out - long enough to kill a pot of coffee just the two of us. My wife and I visited this location on July 16 and July 18, 2013 for breakfast while we were on vacation. We had Jessica as our server on the 16th, and she was GREAT. Our server on the 18th was good also but not as good as Jessica. The food was wonderful and we always visit this store twice while we are on vacation in Branson. We have visited this store for five consecutive years and the food and service are always good. The only thing we do not like is the individual harassing you as you exit trying to sell you discounted show tickets. I hope management removes this individual going forward as we are there to eat, not to be bothered with a someone trying to sell me a service I DO NOT WANT. We come here at least twice every time we are in Branson and it is ALWAYS awesome. Today between all 6 of us we tried the chicken fried steak, chicken and noodles, blueberry bread, broccoli cheese soup, hamburger steak, pancakes and strawberry pie. We ate breakfast at Bob Evans last Saturday, March 4th. We were seated in Mama Donna's section. She was very friendly and told us she had been working there 26 years. This was the worst restaurant I have been to in a long time! First there was a 24 minute wait to get in with many tables open! Then the food took 45 minutes to finally arrive at our table! I ate here a couple of days ago with my family and it is mediocre at best. The kitchen staff completely forgot to put the ingredients inside of my brothers omelett and instead they came piled on the top and on the side of it. Not a huge deal by any means, but it is the principle. Also, my mom got one of their biscuit bowls and it was unbelievably oily. The blueberry crepes however were quite good.... As long as you get the blueberry sauce on the side. I got the western omelette and it was quite delicious. My only complaint is that there was far too much ham inside of it but otherwise it was quite good. (Admittedly, I'm not a huge meat eater so the ham put me off a little bit. But if you like meat then you would've loved the omelette.) This was my first time visiting a Bob Evans and my take is that it is a Denny's with a wannabe Cracker Barrel feel.
