Little late in writing a review, we had take out the first time, soup and sandwich, after arriving late to hotel real close, this was a good solution, it was good, so planned on returning. Next visit was with family, everyone enjoyed their dinners. Hubby and I went to breakfast there, seated right away but the food took forever, however the coffee was good, with pot left on table since food took so long. Last time we went was in mood for pot pie, it was sold out (really) . So had something else, not what I wanted so wasn't happy. I like the waitresses always spunky and doing their best. She seemed to get impatient which I understand my sister can be hard to understand and deal with but she is still human. Server was ok. Large party of seven didn't intimidate the waitress at all. Peg I think it was - was super friendly, efficient, sweet to all her customers and made it seem like they were her only table. She was awesome! Food was good and entire order was correct even when some had special needs/ desires. Only problem was - they ran out of oatmeal! If you go here be prepared to wait forever for your food. We stood in line for about 20 minutes, which we expected, it was breakfast time and we were in Branson, so no big deal to us. Our waitress took our order promptly right after we sat down and brought us our drinks. After waiting for 45 minutes, our waitress telling us a couple of different times that our food would be right out and a complimentary loaf of banana bread, people starting to leave that had been seated after us and served before us, I asked to speak to a manager. Good luck with that one. All she could tell me was that they just opened the second kitchen, that's it, no explanation, no apology, no nothing. I told her it had been over an hour since we'd been there, between the wait to be seated and the wait time to never get our food, and that we were leaving. She didn't seem to care so we left. Poor service, overcooked food, no code to leave feedback. I'm local. Not a tourist. This is second visit to Bob Evans Branson, with a small group. Prior visit had inattentive server but good food. Yesterday, 3/1/2020, we had the same server, KC, who was even less attentive. She spent an inordinate amount of time chatting with customers at another table. Long waits for first coffee, order taking and coffee refills. We could never get her attention, and when we asked another server to send KC to our table, she said "I'll try". They were not busy. This is before tourist season. I recognized some other customers as locals. When order finally arrived, my pancakes were so overcooked I sent them back. All tablemates also had pancakes and they were all overcooked, but did not send them back. I will say the replacements were cooked properly and tasted good. I had voiced my dissatisfaction to server, probably loudly, and with swearing. When friend and I looked at our tickets after paying, we noticed that her ticket included a survey address with a code. My ticket excluded this section. When I went to the web address to leave feedback I discovered that you cannot take the survey without a code. I think this was an intentional effort to prevent me from leaving feedback. I intend to ask them for a code. read more

Make the party of 4 with 2 handicap people walk to the table in the opposite corner when there are open tables closer! Inconsiderate! 3 dead flies on the window sill! Disgusting! Order came out wrong in various ways and the bread requested wasn't even available -frozen- really? Oh and a different server brought drinks from the one who did the rest, thank goodness because if those long bangs hanging in her face that she kept blowing out of her eyes fell in my food, that would be it! A fellow Yelper once chided others for giving out 5 stars too hastily. I think he even alluded to the fact that chain restaurants shouldn't qualify. I beg to differ. If a restaurant fulfills all expectations and executes everything (quality, serviced, atmosphere) perfectly, then they deserve 5 stars; no matter what the category. This Bob Evans delivered. Nice ambiance (not like any I've ever visited before - more like a Cracker Barrel), very quick and friendly service, and good food. Hot coffee, excellent biscuits and gravy. Nice. Be warned that there is no direct entrance into this place (not their fault). If you pass it heading east on the main drag (76), turn around and go back. We ordered a family breakfast pack and 2 extra sides and it was fantastic. Feed our family for 3 days at condo. Bob Evans was my favorite breakfast spot in college. We went here while on vacation and it was absolutely terrible. There was a bit of a wait, which is fine, it was Sunday morning. We ordered, food took forever, that's fine too, it was busy. What got me was our food was ice cold, my omelette had basically raw veggies in it, my daughters bananas were brown on her pancake everything was just awful. Bob Evans used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but the last 3 times I have been the service has been lacking. The last time I was in it took a waiter 20 minutes to come to our table. We waited patiently for a server and a table that was seated15 minutes after us was greeted and had their drinks before we had even been greeted. The element that put this experience over the top was our server, J. She worked all the angles to get extras added to our meal, made sure we got any discounts for which we were qualified and over all made the lunch an outstanding experience. Moved here from out of state, last spring. It is one of our favorite restaurants. Always good, Kathy is our favorite server. Ordered curbside last week and when I got home the order was incorrect. I called back and talked with Jennifer. She told me they would replace my order when ever I wanted and to keep the food I received. Which by the way was very good Turkey and Dressing. Ok so we waited for the food for 1 hour and 35 minutes. Once it came the pancakes were burnt and my wife's French toast never came. They said they ran out of ingredients. Though the food was good, it wasn't the best. The steak was a bit strange tasting, a bit squishy and too moist. The caramel mocha tasted really good, so did the hot chocolate. The rustic atmosphere was nice, but the food didn't really tie in with it. I particularly didn't like the fact the gift shop was in front of the restaurant, or the fact there was a gift shop at all. We went on a busier weekend, and were seated right away but didn't receive our food for over thirty minutes! I was excited to spend my birthday dinner here, since I haven't been at a Bob Evan type restaurant since I worked at the Owen's Family Restaurant in Dallas. A 30 minute wait for our food on a night where there were only 5 tables in the restaurant. When the food came, every plate was extremely hot. If you don't know what that means, it means it sat in the window for a long time waiting on someone to deliver it. Nothing like peeling the skin off my gravy before I put it on room temperature biscuits. The waitress delivered the drinks, then took the order, delivered the food, and then delivered the check. No refills, no checking to see how the meal was, just someone focused on side-work to get off work. We were there two hours before close, not at closing time. When I let them know, I got told how busy they were with holiday orders. Sorry we weren't as important as those holiday orders. read more

This place was great! The food tastes amazing and the people are so kind. They have a cute little store at the front of the restaurant. My family went on a trip to Branson and we ate there for breakfast two of the three days we were there. Their hash browns are my favorite and I'm still craving them. They serve banana bread with breakfast and you can buy a loaf to go if you'd like. They also had mini cinnamon rolls and pumpkin bread for sale too. I will definitely be going back! read more

We've eaten here several times and generally the food is very good. They serve home-style meals, somewhat like Cracker Barrel, but the table spacing is much better. I had the new menu item, Parmesan chicken over a bed of broccoli and home fries (?), cubed potatoes. The service can be slow, especially at busy times, like Sunday mornings. This evening (Tuesday) they really seemed short on staff. Not many patrons, so we could sit just about anywhere we wanted. We've never been to a Bob Evans before and so we were told to try it while in the area. It is VERY similar to a Cracker Barrel as far as the set up. The Brioche French Toast was spectacular and so were the breakfast potatoes. But, the sausage gravy was gross (I'm from Alabama and was super sad because I consider myself a gravy connoisseur, haha) my sausage patty wasn't done and the service was God A.W.F.U.L. The second we were seated the waitress looked at us and LITERALLY yelled "Are you SERIOUS right now? ANOTHER table?!" Like okay I get if you're swamped and what not but take that up with someone else, don't make us feel like we are literally not welcome. Like kid you not. This lady was yelling this while standing at our table and looking at us. We decided to just forget it any eat there anyways after that and the whole time she complained to us about it.
