Came here for an early Thanksgiving as a family member will be having surgery right before thanksgiving and unable to partake. I was amazed at how many people had the turkey dinners as we walked bake to our table. I haven't been to a Bob Evans in so long and it hasn't changed. Still very homey looking. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. She brought us waters and refills of iced tea regularly. I had the smaller portion turkey meal which was perfect. The regular turkey dinner comes with a vegetable. That is the only difference, except smaller portion. The stuffing was too salty and the meal was wam, not hot. My husband's was the same. The turkey potatoes and gravy were tasty. The biscuit was light and fluffy. I gave 4 stars as it was a good value. Otherwise, it would've got 3. It would be a strong four with less salt and served hot not luke warm. Good place for home style meal. read more

Picked up food while traveling through. Location is convenient, right next to the Super 8 we were staying at for the night. Takeout was fast and the employee was friendly. Curbside pickup was a breeze, too. Unfortunately, the food was both extremely oily and bland. The steak tips plate was especially depressing, the picture attached is what we received and saw upon opening the takeout bag, minus some eating of the hashbrown. Overall, we paid $14.99 for this plate (and $32 total for the order) and were very disappointed. Way overpriced for what we received. read more

i had never been here before, but was enticed by the banana bread! their menu has lots of breakfast and dinner country choices. i always get sausage gravy with biscuits if i see it on the menu, but i have to say only the bud hits were good. the gravy was over salted.. the rest of the food was average! idk if i will come back to this chain. read more

Well I tried the same breakfast I had when I last came here. Two biscuits with white gravy and an over easy egg on top, along with a fruit cup instead of the hash browns. Let me start by saying the waitress we had was excellent, she deserves a raise. The service couldn't ave been better. Very timely, friendly, and she made us feel like we were at home. Unfortunately the food did not fare as well. The biscuits were still as dried out as the last time. I am wondering if the cook knows that biscuits should not be hard. I don't know if they use yesterday's biscuits or just over bake them. Either way they shouldn't be served like that. The egg was prepared correctly. The white gravy was passable, but nothing to write home about. I would rate the service as a 4 or 5 stars. The food was a 1 star. read more

We ate at Bob Evans this morning and the food was not good. They served our southwest omelet with black guacamole on top that was black. We mentioned that we wanted some that was fresh so they took our plates and gave us the same guac stirred up. It tasted awful. The omelets were cold and our coffee didn't taste fresh so we ordered oj. The rye toast was good. I wondered why there were not many people in the restaurant on a Saturday morning. The floor was so slick and when we mentioned it the general manager seemed annoyed that we brought it up. The server was pleasant considering she was taking care of most of the tables by herself. So.....I decided to splurge on the seafood platter. Haven't had clam strips since Willow Brau in Willoughby closed. I eagerly opened the large brown paper bag to find it mostly empty. The sides I chose were in small containers. The soup portion is not equal to a corelle coffee cup. Now the seafood. Cold despite the restaurant being less than a mile away. One fish filets and 2 broken bits were hard to identify as they blended in with the clam strips. The clam strips were more bits. Like the bottom of the bag you usually throw out. Not much flavor consitency of rubber bands. The 3 shrimp were small , cold and rubbery. Overall very disappointed. Especially the clams which proved to be inedible. read more

This is the store that made me fall in love with Bob Evans. The large menu is a bonus can't go wrong with having alot to choose from. I love the candied bacon mmm good. I ordered 2 because I couldn't believe how good it was. I visited this Bob Evans this morning. The food was delicious but the server was not attentive. We told her we wanted the biscuits that come with the breakfast before the breakfast came out. She never brought. She said she was going to get my husbands diet coke refill but never returned until she brought all our food out and by his time a different waitress so kindly noticed my husbands empty diet coke cup and offered to bring another before our own waitress came. She dropped off food in a rush too not even seeing if we needed anything else. Awful service--avoid this place! We had a party of 7, but called about 9:30 to check how long the wait would be. Woman told me 5-10 minutes because we'll push some tables together. We sent half the party over at 9:50 with the balance of the group arriving by 10:00. When we put our name on the list upon arrival, we were told 10 minutes. An HOUR later, we were finally seated. The hostess took us back to the corner of the dining room where I counted no less than 6 empty tables, 3 of which seated at least 5. I spoke to the Manager, about the need to manage expectations for customer's wait times. All he offered was an apology and the assurance "you'll have a great time". Didn't even offer so much as a free biscuit or cup of coffee. This place is not worth the poor service. The food is no better than any other breakfast place. read more

So I went to this location for brunch and left my hat I called up to see if they had found it told the gentleman [I believe said he was the manger] where I was sitting and got my name and phone number and said he couldnt find it. The hat was a really important to me so I went up and guess what it was right on the booth that im sure they dont clean. My wife and I use to be huge fans of Bob Evans, great food, service, etc. However, it seems like within the past 2-3 years the service has gotten to the point of awful. The servers take a long time to start the drinks, food takes a long time, no checking in for refills. This all happens when they aren't busy either, so it's not a staffing issue always. The problem seems to not just be at this location but many others in the area too. Eating out is not cheap now days so we are taking our business somewhere else that will appreciate it. read more

Didn't here from here again until we were getting up to leave after 50 minutes of waiting. Before leaving I went to talk with the manager and he said he'd be right over to talk with us. 10 minutes pass and he still didn't show. He hid in the back. When we were getting up to leave, our server comes over quickly saying the the grill wasn't working. That didn't stop the order of the guy who came in and ordered after we did from getting his steak and eating his meal, paying for it and out the door ten minutes before. This location has become synonymous with bad Service and poor food. They have servers who are next to clueless about customer service. They just look for the tip. Bob Evans is one of the greatest restaurants ever. It is ruined in most every location. Wish I could give no stars. I arrived at 8:10PM and there were many people waiting to pick up carry out orders. I asked about mine and was told it would be ready "shortly, there are people ahead of me". I have been there several times over past few years and the service has always been very good. The servers are usually in good humour and very pleasant, with no attitudes. We go there for breakfast primarily; and my most recent visit (last Sunday June23 2013) was only OK as far as food goes. Two complaints # 1 The coffee is horrible! Whatever "new & improved" blend they're using...ditch it! Too strong & dark for me! Maybe it was just that brew batch; but it sucked. My wife who is a huge coffee drinker agreed 100%. Issue # 2 The home fries (cubed) were hard 50% of the time, which I hate. I've been to other outlets like Perkins etc. where they are much better. They have re-vamped the entrance to this location, removing the counter from just inside the front door; which is a good improvement. Overall just 2 stars, and will probably avoid this location from now on. read more

We were on an overnight trip from Geauga county for my sons birthday. I had coupons for Bob Evans because we had such an awful experience at the Chardon BE. So I treated my son to breakfast at BE on Sunday. Wow what a difference from Chardon!!!!! This is the BE I remember from growing up!! We arrived at a busy time of 10 am. The Place was busy and we gave our name but didn't have long to wait. Our waitress was great and on the ball. We both had the new Brioche French toast, Mine with blueberries as part of the farmers breakfast. I was sooo good!!!! While we were eating a manager came around greeting every table and asking how things were. I told him about Chardon and said I was glad that there was still good BE's out there and we'd be back. Arrived at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. It was moderately busy. Waitress was unattentive and brought out one of our kids plates first...leaving the other angry for 4 minutes till theirs came out. The waitress did not bring out the food in proper order as in cole slaw first with breads to tide you over....she just brought it all out at once and then acted like it was a problem that we needed condiments. Refills were hard to come by also. The woman's bathroom was horrible and didn't have soap as it appeared the regular one was broken and they had no more in a little bottle they had placed on the counter. So I had to go out and ask for soap...after quite a wait, the manager comes out and appologizes, which I did appreciate but said that he was sending one of the workers to go buy more soap right now as the one was broken and they had none......so I still wanted to wash my hands and had to then have them check the men's so I could grab soap and go wash my hands in the women's. After all this it's nice to say at least the food tasted great...but how will this matter if nothing else is going right there? This is my second visit to them recently that has not been a good time, which is sad as it used to be a nice stop. read more
