There was a wait when we got to the restaurant. The hostess said about a 10 min wait and that was pretty accurate. That is about all that was positive. The waitress had no voice. Our food took about 40 minutes to get for eggs and pancakes. It took forever to get a coffee refill. When we asked for hot sauce it was just dropped off in passing by the waitress and she did not even check on the food or if anything else was needed. My food had pieces of the egg shell and big pieces of burnt food in the hash browns. We had not been to this place after a bad experience about 1 year ago. We thought we would give it a try since Metro Diner had a really long wait. Amazingly it has gotten even worse. Very disappointed in Western Omelet onions and peppers weren't even cook had tons of them hardly any ham or cheese very thin egg no way that was a three egg Omelet . Wanted to treat myself to a nice pleasurable breakfast instead of going to McDonalds. I waited a very long time to receive my breakfast. The waitress explained that there was a situation in the kitchen. I ordered a build-your-own omelette with cheddar cheese and peppers. It was a sad looking omelette with very little cheese and I pulled out the peppers as they were Not Cooked. Not exactly the pleasurable breakfast I was looking forward to. read more

Since it is almost impossible to find one of these in the North East, since most have closed, I will seek this place out. They offer breakfast foods all day and have some very tasty fruit breads (banana, blueberry, pumpkin, etc) that differ depending on the season. Service is always good here. Have never had bad food at one of these. Foodies won't find this place worthy, but if you want a good ole country meal and a very reasonable cost, then try one of these. read more

Went there on 4th of July morning for a family breakfast. Place was busy but not packed. Service was terrible. Coffee was not great. My wife and son hated it too. My mom recommended it and goes often so we made our donation. Worst pancake syrup I've ever had. Maybe dinner is better. read more

We came there at 12:00 and our breakfast came to us at 1:00. The hostess did not greet us. Just said Two? Then called me sweety. The server did not come to the table for some time. We were regulars and always accepted the fact service was a little slow. Today, our server passed us off to tammie (blonde hair) bundle of joy. She took our order and never came back to our table for 25 minutes. My wife had to ask a hostess for creamer, I got up and walked to the counter for my coffee and then to top it off, 3 people that sat down 15 minutes after us received their food before us. Tammie kept looking our way but refused to approach us or assist in anyway. We got up and left and will not be back. Disco stu manager did nothing as we left. Poorly managed store with unmotivated staff. Needs personnel overall. Could be great but sub par for bobs. Drive the extra time to Daytona bobs of international. Excellent service good food will be back. I have eaten at a few of these restaurants since I have been in Florida and I have never been disappointed. I rarely give a place 5 stars - so this is special. The place was very clean and very well managed. Got our food very quickly. This was my first experience at a Bob Evans. The food was amazing. The breads were out of this world delicious. Best burger I've had in a while. Our waitress was fantastic. So why only 4 stars? The water. The water was VILE! It was so bad, that it made the fountain drinks taste just as awful. (they mix their nasty water with the soda syrups in case you don't know how fountain drinks are made) Anyway.. the drinks had a horrible smell so before even trying them we could tell there was something wrong. I've lived in Palm Coast for a few years now, I know our tap water isn't the best. But the water at Bob Evans.. oh man, it tastes like 100 rats died in the water line and never got cleaned out. I'm not sure if this is a moldy ice dispenser issue, or if it's the water. All I know is, it was awful. Bob Evans in Palm Coast, please consider putting a filter on all your drinking water sources. Even the water that goes into the soda fountain. I'm scared to go back because of it. Which is sad because everything else about your restaurant was fantastic. read more

The waitress was hurrying to finish her shift and so accidentally spilled our whole tray of food on our table. We were very understanding of this as we have worked in the restaurant industry and was very apologetic. Yet, as soon as she served us our new food she said she was off her shift and that someone else would check on us. For someone who has "worked in the restaurant industry their whole life", this is not the behavior of an experienced waitress. We then were charged full price for our waitress spilling our food, us eating later, and her leaving early. To the manager who apologized, you should have taken part if not all of the price off. As someone who has managed a restaurant I can't imagine not doing this. read more

The food is pretty low quality, the service is barely passable, and the other patrons are, by and large, gross. I spent the whole time trying not to throw up between the weird-tasting beef, the incredible BO wafting in from the booth behind me, and seeing the other disgusting people around. Omelets are my favorite, and theirs were really subpar. So was their dinner. We tried this place twice before giving up on it as absolutely gross. Now Palm Coast finally has a proper breakfast/American cuisine place; go to Metro Diner instead. read more

I had breakfast this morning at Bob Evans in Palm Coast, FL and was very disappointed. It wasn't the worst but was not good. I ordered the minimal breakfast which was 1 scrambled egg, which was fine, 1 piece of patty sausage which was over done, hash browns (ordered very crispy and they were) but the grease they were cooked in and the sausage the same tasted horrible, like old grease. The taste left in my mouth was horrible. Tried jelly on biscuit to cut the taste and helped, but I don't particular like biscuits anyway (to gummy). The coffee was best part of meal. Husband had grits that were very lumpy and sausage links and said was good. When you cook a 1/4 inch sausage patty doesn't take very long to cook. Won't go back for breakfast read more

I went to this restaurant on a Friday night and not only was it a mess but my server had an argument with the cook for almost 30 minutes straight. The level of professionalism in the entire restaurant was far below any standard to the point I along with the people at the table behind me paid our bills and left. I will never eat there again. Today, (March 14th) is called "pi" day and it's a fun tradition to eat pie. Since good pie seems to be a hard thing to find in Palm Coast, we decided to go to Bob Evans. We had been there once before for my Birthday in Feb and our meal was ok, but when it came to dessert, I was sadly told they had not had any apple pie in over a week. It was the main thing I had come for as I like Birthday pie rather then cake. Our waitress said she had kept telling management, but for some reason they hadn't ordered any for quite a while. Anyway, we decided to give the place another try today. We got there and we were seated by a front window as soon as they had the table clean. It's a small place and they had several waitresses on the floor. It was only maybe half full. We were asked what we would like to drink . Our coffee was promptly brought and we were told that our server would be right over to take our orders. This is where it got weird. We sat there for over half an hour while only some of the staff was waiting on tables. The rest were behind the front counter just goofing off. The person who had seated us never looked at us again as he went around seating others. A couple of times I tried to catch the eye of a waiter and was ignored. For some reason, even though our menus had been sitting on the edge of our table and we had obviously not been served, we were invisible to the staff. After several more minutes of watching everyone who had come in after us be served their meals, I finally got the attention of the guy that had seated us and told him that we had been sitting there for almost 40 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. He said he would send someone right over. One of the waiters, who had been behind the counter chatting away with others, came over and implied that even though we were not his table, he would take our orders. We told him we had just come in for 2 pieces of pie. Off he went and we sat for over another 15 MINUTES....for PIE! We watched plate after plate of food coming out while our server went back to chatting. Finally, we'd had enough and we got up to leave. Suddenly he came out from the kitchen and had our pie. He said, "Oh! You can't leave now! This will make up for everything." Ahh...not even close. My strawberry pie was topped with rock hard under ripe strawberries with black spots on them. My husband's "French Silk" pie was chocolate pudding in a crust. Completely not worth it. We went up to pay. It was almost $12 for 2 cups of coffee and two very poorly made mass produced tasting low quality pieces of pie. We will NEVER go there again. Waiting almost an hour, being completely ignored by staff, and then trying to choke down pie that was not even grocery store standard made it clear that this place is one to be ignored...just as we were. read more
