I love this place. Every time i try something new , it never disappoints. Staff is always friendly, we always get an attentive server.

Stopped in for breakfast on a weekday morning. Ordered two eggs over easy with hash browns, a side of bacon, and an order of sausage gravy with two biscuits. The food came out in less than 10 minutes. The potatoes were bland and unseasoned, the bacon looked and tasted like it had been cooked and then sat out at room temperature. The sausage gravy was bland, thin and runny, and did not taste very sausage-like. And the gravy was almost room temperature. Not hot at all. Only the eggs were cooked properly. And the biscuits were not bad. Service was very good - but does not make up for poorly prepared food. Paid with Apple Pay. I won't be back. #BobEvans read more

I used to really like Bob Evans, but the past few times I've gone, the experiences were mediocre at best. On this recent visit, I went for breakfast on a weekday morning. They weren't busy, so service was somewhat quick. The first thing I asked about on the menu came with ham and when I asked about subbing it out for sausage, my server told me there were no substitions. I found this odd, considering they supposedly make everything fresh to order. The entrée I ultimately chose was their two biscuits meal which comes with a side of sausage gravy. When the food came out it looked adequate, but not as appetizing as the picture in the menu. Flavors were OK, but luke warm. At least the coffee was good. I think I'm done coming to Bob Evans Restaurants... I'll go to IHOP or Wafflehouse next time. read more

We ordered the turkey Thanksgiving family meal because we are looking for pre-cooked pre-ready for the holidays and wanted to try it out first. It was expensive by the time they added all of the taxes and fees. However, the portions were tiny for the amount of people it's supposed to serve. However, they did give us 12 biscuits lol. The portions were small. The cranberry dressing was enough for a child and that was it. I do have a picture that I will attach the container they sent it in is usually what a side of coleslaw might come in and it was only halfway full. Not enough turkey for more than maybe two people 2 1/2 people maybe if they eat like birds. A 2 pound container of stuffing and a 2 pound container of mashed potatoes plus underneath the turkey was a little more stuffing. We then re-ordered it the next day as an individual meal. I think they call it a small turkey dish in order to see how much one person would receive to get an idea of pricing and serving size. It was way too small. It would be a child's meal basically and when you see the picture of what the cranberry dressing came in you'll laugh it's the size of something that ketchup might come in the tiny tiny little containers that they put ketchup and condiments in tiny like a Tablespoon. The amount of mashed potatoes and dressing as well as a couple of pieces of turkey was way too small for a person on Thanksgiving. I was very disappointed again. It was OK. Never disappoints! Better to come in and the morning crew was fully staffed! We got our order in less than 10 minutes. It was nice to see how efficient the crew turned tables and kept the place clean. My mini breakfast sampler was just enough and their Arnold Palmer was served with a choice of sweetened or unsweetened tea! Mmmmmmmm mmmmm good! Year after year, location after location Bob Evans never disappoints me. I visited my daughter this weekend to help her move and this was the most logical place to have breakfast in lieu of unpacking. We had sausage and biscuits, westerns omelette sans got the little one a pancake and eggs. The portion sizes were perfect and our sever Adrianne was so nice and friendly. The staff there was playful with one another and we were able to tell that it is a positive work environment. Check this one out if your driving past on the highway or live in the Stafford area. read more

This was my first time going here and will be my last. We got the Ranch Potatoes appetizer and the potatoes were black as in overcooked with an excessive amount of random crispy pieces. Obviously not much attention or care to how their food is presented. The hashbrowns that came with our meals tasted old. My omelette wasnt bad but my friend didn't finish his food (an omelette with guac, tomatoes beans etc.) said it just wasnt worth finishing. Our server was mid, she did her job but nothing more. I may be asking too much but she never even gave her name. The speed was great though. The menu was beautiful but created a Let down when the actual food came. I came here with a party of ten. They had already been seated by the time I arrived. This was my second visit here. I ordered coffee, water and a Southwest Avacado Chicken Dinner. I did not enjoy the recipe of the southwest but overall the food was cooked well. The broccoli looked great and tasted amazing but only because they slathered it in melted butter. Potato's did not have any add ons so everyone had to add salt to them. Chicken was not too dry which it is very difficult to do that with chicken breast. So kudos to the chef. Place is a two star place due to the bland food but a three star due to the great service the young 20 year old waitress of ours. I do not remember her name but she was great. read more

We were there 1st thing on a Sunday. Service is slow but the food comes out at decent pace. Dishes and silverware aren't very clean and everything on the table is pretty greasy and sloppy when served. We would have left if I saw the below items before we ate. While there some of the male staff used the restroom and then returned to the kitchen without washing their hands. Bathrooms were disgusting and not cleaned for weeks. I don't know what has happened to this location but I probably will not visit it again. The wife wanted to go and eat breakfast today and decided between IHOP and Bob Evan's that Bob Evan's would be better. We couldn't have been more wrong. As we came through the front door there was an employee wiping down the glass on the doors and as we walked closer the expression on her face was one of, " please don't talk to me, look at me, or acknowledge me and I will do the same for you." No smile or greeting from her. We approach the hostess stand and it's unmanned and other than the woman wiping down the door there is only one other person behind the counter at the register just staring off in to the distance of what ever daydream she was in. Finally, someone shows up and asks us if we are waiting to be seated? Really? No we just like to go to random restaurants and stand in the lobby area and stare at people working, of course we are waiting to be seated. So she says let me check if we have a table available, she comes back and says she has a table but she needs to wiped it off first. She then grabs a white rag from the hostess stand and goes to the table and wipes it down with a rag that is semi damp, sitting on the top of the stand where multiple people have walked by over god knows how long. We finally get seated with our sticky menus and damp/wet tabletop and get our drink order in, a coffee, water, and Arnold Palmer. Okay, maybe this isn't so bad. We order The everything breakfast, sirloin and eggs with a side of home fries, and the Blue Ribbon bacon. Let tell you about the Blue Ribbon Bacon, it's 5 strips of hardwood smoked bacon glazed with honey, brown sugar, and cracked pepper. You assume from the word glaze that the bacon is gonna be crispy and have a glaze on it as it will be baked on right? No even close! The server brings up a bowl with five strips of bacon right from the fryer swimming in a pool of honey with pepper sprinkled on top. Flimsy, dripping with honey bacon that you are trying to eat and not get the sticky honey all over you. Not impressed. Terrible presentation and down right deceitful in description. Then here comes the main course, the wife is having the everything breakfast and I am having the sirloin and eggs with home fries. The sirloin that I requested Medium rare is well done, like dry well done. So dry I have to dip it in the egg yoke to make it edible. The said her meal was fine. So we finished our meals and as my wife gets half way through her coffee she looks in to the cup and notices was looks like a black ring inside the mug like it wasn't washed. Sure enough that black ring wiped off on to my finger. That made us start looking at the glassware closer and realized even the water glass had a yellow tint to it. That was it for us. We asked for the check and left. In this day and age with a pandemic and the awareness of cleanliness you would think a restaurant like Bob Evan's would take more care of making sure the dishes and glassware are clean. Apparently not. I don't believe the wife and I will ever eat her again. It just completely grossed us out. This type of behavior from restaurant personal is how people get sick from eating out. This location is lacking in: Customer service Customer awareness Employee training Kitchen staff training Wash staff training Overall sanitation of the restaurant These type of experiences are the reason people don't return to restaurants and feel it's safer to cook at home and avoid getting sick or poisoned at an establishment that clearly doesn't prioritize cleaning the dishes that your food goes on but prioritizes making sure the finger prints on the door glass is cleaned properly. These issues are also not even worth complaining to a manger about because of it happened to us it's happening to other patrons and the complaining is the same to the manager that is probably tired of hearing it but does nothing. Needless to say, nothing will ever come of it until they either kill someone or make someone extremely sick. Good luck to all future patrons of this location or any others for that matter, I will no longer be a customer of the Bob Evan's restaurant chain. read more

I'm 48 years old. I've eaten in restaurants all over the world. This just might be the worst dining experience I've ever had. My whole family came with me into this awful adventure. First, the place is dirty. The dishes weren't clean. The carpets are dirty. The seats were dirty and required my wife asking for a towel to clean them off. The staff was inattentive. Several orders were wrong and my own order didn't come until almost everyone in my family was done eating. On top of that, the food wasn't good. It's overly salty and as my wife described it - it's basically a TV dinner. As if all this isn't enough, the woman taking up our dishes requested and then demanded we all hand her our dirty dishes. No, she wasn't trying to pick them up herself. Nor did she want to walk around the table. She stood next to me and had everyone in my party hand their dirty dishes to her. Then upon checkout, as my soul was weeping for having to spend money at this place, they turned the lights out on us before we left. Truth is, I'm sure I've been to a place with bad food or unusually long waits. But what struck me by this particular place was that no one on that staff cared. No one on their staff gave a rats butt if we were happy or if we enjoyed ourselves. Everyone on that staff was simply there for a paycheck and was doing their best to do the least amount of work. I'll never go back here and I truly hope they close this restaurant. Stafford deserves better! read more

The behind the counter staff is extremely slow and entirely too playful with each other. They need new cooks, a new chef... something. We waited an hour and 15 mins for our food. Took 30 minutes for the first refill. The restaurant was absolutely dirty. The menus looked like they were used as toilet paper. This place used to be my favorite breakfast restaurant before I moved to Colorado in 2018 and it seems like it has gone downhill ever since. Don't even waste your time coming here. This was one of the worst services I've had in a long time. Started from the moment my wife and I entered the front door. The person at the front seating us did not know what she was doing or where to sit us. Once we got to a table, it was dirty, they had to take time to wipe the table in front of us with what I believed was a dirty rag. Once seated, my wife smelled an awful dirty, pungy smell emanating from under the table. We would have asked to be moved, but honestly the rest of the restaurant looked the same and I don't think it would have made a difference. It took quite a while to get our waters, but the biggest issue was with our order. My wife ordered a butter chicken dish that was supposed to have two pieces of chicken. After waiting a long time for our order, my wife received a single piece of fried chicken that looked nothing like what she ordered. After asking the waitress why the single chicken instead of two, the waitress informed us that they had run out of chicken. So, no one, including the manager for this day, came to inform us that my wife's order could not be fulfilled because they ran out of chicken. They just gave my wife an incomplete plate without saying a word. It was truly a terrible service, the food was bad, lacking much flavor, and or that reason I can say that Bob Evans has lost me and my as as future customers for good. read more

This was so much fun. We were traveling from Rhode Island to North Carolina and we saw many of this type of restaurant. We finally stopped for lunch and chose a Bob Evans so that we could try it. Our waitress was lovely and very kind and friendly. Mike had a chicken pot pie which was delightful. He had biscuits with it which he absolutely loved. I had the chicken salad plate with fruit and it was so fresh and so good. Mike took his cherry pie to go and he will enjoy it in the hotel when we get there. read more

I came into the restaurant and stood there for roughly 5 minutes with no workers in sight. The restaurant had 2 tables occupied so it was very empty. After a few minutes I finally got somebody's attention in the kitchen and asked if I see myself and they said yes. I sat there for more than 10 minutes until a girl came up to me and told me my server will be with me in a minute. I waited another 10 minutes and someone came and gave me a menu. Another five minutes went by and no one came to even ask for drinks. I made eye contact with 2 staff multiple times as they sat behind the counter on their phones and ignored I was even there. I have actually never got up and left from poor service it I did as I didn't even get to order a drink after being there well over 20 minutes. Very unprofessional and unfortunate as I used to love Bob Evans. Would not recommend. **update: I came back into the restaurant after eating somewhere else to bring the occurrence up to the manager (Sherry maybe?). She seemed to genuinely care and even offered me a pastry which was nice-I hope the service gets better, I'll give it another try in a couple weeks as the manager seemed to be concerned about what happened so my hopes aren't completely up for this Bob Evans. read more

I took my family for breakfast this morning to celebrate my sons birthday. We knew we would have a wait a little while for a table because of the amount of people we had. We waited about an hour for our table and about 45 minutes for our food. Our food came out cold. Our potatoes were not done our scrambled eggs were raw. I ordered the everything breakfast. My food looked like someone threw up on my plate and it was cold the biscuit was hard. My sons sausage was burned and so was his toast. All of the vegetables in the food were cut so big. The vacuum and dust buster were left out in the dining room where someone had just decided to stop cleaning in spite of the crayons, spilled food, napkins, and the trash on the floor All of the servers seem to be between 18 and 21 years old which may explain their lack of attention to the diners, their forgetfulness of orders and drink refills, and generally just poor service. There are way too many other places to eat within a 3 mile radius of this location to have to deal with that. Being from Southern California, I had never dined at a Bob Evans, but evidently they're pretty common here. The staff was very friendly and our waitress was polite and accommodating. The food came out after only a short wait and it was delicious. The only downside was that the bathrooms were not well maintained. I understand that it's not a top priority, but having toilet paper and paper towels are basic hygiene things. If people aren't washing their hands, that means they're spreading who-knows-what on other surfaces throughout the restaurant. Hopefully it was only a few minutes and someone went and took care of the situation quickly. Aside from that, it was a pleasant experience.
