I love Bober Tea and usually go to this location every couple weeks. For over the past month though, their AC has been broken! I came here in August and September, and it's still broken. Why haven't they fixed it? Especially when it's hot here in Sac. As a result, the frosting on their mochi donuts has been damp every time I come here the last couple months, and it smears on the pink wrap when I try to grab a piece. I end up eating practically a plain mochi donut. I don't recommend dining in and/or buying mochi donuts if their AC is broken. Their drinks were still good though.

Headed over at around 4 pm and ordered pretty easily on the kiosks they had. It seems like they are known for their stir fry boba which sounded interesting and our drinks came out soon after we ordered. Roasted Oolong Milk Tea w/ Stir Fry Boba - I opted to get 50% sweetness for the drink and at that level, it was too sweet for my preference still. The oolong flavor of the tea was strong and came through nicely but the stir fry boba was on the harder side. Overall, the stir fry boba didn't stand out to me that much despite enjoying the tea flavor in my drink.

Came in for the first time at the end of a Saturday night. So my review is based on it being close to closing, and would definitely differ if we were here at an earlier time. Large, colorful location, very heavy on the pink. Not sure if this location purposely keeps the lighting to a minimum, but it was very low lit, especially in the seating areas near the front door. That may be on purpose to focus your attention on the decor that centered around LED lighting and picture worth setups (Horse and pole, circular search with giant Ballon above, and or the telephone booth area. We tried ordering online but couldn't based on the time, so we attempted to order inside. We ordered about 9 assorted mochi donuts, but after ordering we were told. Most of the donuts available were already purchased by other guests who were waiting near the pickup counter. And that we could only get 4, and the remaining charge would go back to our card. Of the 4 we could get we were only able to 1 get donut that we originally planned to get unfortunately. So we'll have to try again some other time, even though it's been a while since we last were here. For what it's worth, according to girlfriend the donuts were good. I didn't try any since none of the available flavors I liked. Overall: The style and vibe of Bober Tea (or maybe just this location) isn't my thing. So unless I'm picking something up to-go for girlfriend, I wouldn't be back for myself. The staff were nice however, and quickly refunded us for the donuts we couldn't get at the time, and apologized for the inconvenience.

I love their Vietnamese coffee and their mochi donuts are the best. They switch up the flavors but my favorites are always black sesame and matcha!

I hadn't checked out this Bober previously since it's a bit out of the way for me, but am glad I tried out this location. It's very cute... and very pink. Like the other Bober locations, the boba is not hard, but perfectly chewy. Good drinks/section and fast service.

What can I say? I love boba and Bober is my favorite boba shop in Sacramento. This location is so cute and they have enough seating where you can come and chill here for awhile. The decor is so cute and makes it great for a photo shoot! Their drinks and their boba are the highlight here. The boba is made fresh everyday and it's the best boba I've had compared to other boba shops and I've tried A LOT. My favorite drinks is the brown sugar cookies and cream, that is my go to and it's so yummy! I also love their Thai Tea. They also have a cloud series of Vietnamese coffees and they're really good! My favorite was the egg custard and coconut and the matcha! The service has always been friendly but it can take a bit to get your drinks so make sure you're not in a rush. They can get crowded as well. I can around 5pm once and 6 families walked in and it got super busy. The location also has mochi donuts you can pick up. Great spot for Boba! You won't be disappointed!

The place is super cute, and there's plenty of parking outside. We came here to try their egg sandos, we do love their dough it's amd their drinks so we are hoping to fall in love with that ad well. Place has a lot of space and is good for groups..surprised not lore people hang out here. Not from this area, though. So maybe many just take out orders. The packaging is super cute as well!

Cute Boba tea hangout. Staff greeted me right away when I walked in. They offer self service boba ordering and mochi donuts selection. Pretty in Pink photo-op areas for all your IG content. I love my iridescent colored cup with an added butterfly. It's in the details. Sit and chill with your bestie and enjoy your boba.

What a beautiful place. This place is very clean and the staff is very helpful. I will be back again. Thank you. - San Diego, CA..

Hello Kitty toy in the surprise plush cup ~ $4.50

This location of Bober Tea is on Calvine Road in Elk Grove, near Kohl's. The interior was pink, pretty, and picturesque. There were a number of small tables, but the stairs to the ball pit were closed (sign says by reservation only). Ordering can only be done on the two kiosks, which means card only. I ordered the signature milk tea ($6.90) in the surprise plush cup ($4.50). After a few minutes, the drink came out in a beautiful tall, hombre pastel colored cup. The surprise plush cup had a secret opening and inside was a tan colored Hello Kitty plushie toy on a key chain. It was a cute, fun surprise for Sanrio fans. The drink was really tasty, but because of the plush taking up a lot of room in the cup, there wasn't a lot of drink. Bober Tea had good drinks and was a lovely place to hang out. There are lots of photo worthy areas in the shop. Workers were polite, but there's not much interaction because you order at the kiosk and they put the drink on the counter when it's ready.

Bought this with boba and it did NOT come with boba.

Per my previous review, I stand correct. They gave me the copy this time and I definitely ordered boba but they did not put any in. I will probably stop supporting this establishment unless I want a drink without boba! Still received no emailed receipt. We need to stop with the tipping culture before we receive our drinks. -because come to find, we need to take back our tips sometimes.

The interior is very pink and aesthetic! They have a lot of spots to take cute photos. I got their Pink Haze Vietnamese coffee and it was ok. It just tasted like their original Vietnamese coffee. I would have liked a bit more of the pink salted cream in my drink. My problem with this place was the AC. It was over 110 degrees outside when I visited and it did not feel like the AC was on. There was no ventilation and the bathroom felt cooler than the store front. I'm not sure if the AC was broken, but they should have at least had floor fans available.

A lot of hype. So I had to check it out. Did it live up to it? Yes and no. Bulgogi egg sandwich (no cheese) - egg was super fluffy. Soft. Bread was buttery. It was delicious. But not as amazing and must try as people claim it to be. If in the area. Give it a try. But don't go out of your way for it. Pineapple green tea smoothie with boba - it taste like real pineapple and not syrup. So that's a plus. I did enjoy the boba. Was good. Mochi donut - it was okay. The mochi wasn't as fluffy and sticky as other mochi donuts I've had. The ac wasn't working very well. It was warm in there. But the ambiance was great. The walls were nicely colored and decorated. Minor tidbit - have everything serve at the same time. It was weird I got up 3 times. Once for each item.

Ask the Community - Bober Tea & Coffee

Hello, how do I make a reservation for for ball pit/upstairs area? The website listed on Google and Yelp is not working. Per your staff I need to make a reservation on your boberteausa.com website, there's no option there.

Can you go to the ball pit on a daily basis without a reservation?

If it's open. Sometimes they close it off. =(

Do they have high chairs for babies?

    No =(

Is the ball pit open yet? Lol

Hi! Yes the ball pit is open for reservation. Please visit our website to reserve.

Do they use the powders or real milk and tea?

They use non dairy creamer which I'm pretty sure is powdered. I feel like it still has casein (milk protein) in it as I still get an upset stomach if I don't use an actual dairy substitute.

Do you provide cashier service if English is limited to utilize the kiosks?

No. They make you use an order screen (which I think sucks because if you have a question you have to get out of line to ask)

Is there gift cards available for purchase here?

Two of those individuals were working on their laptops so definitely a place where individuals come to potentially do work or crank out a project they may be doing. I was really excited about coming on a day where they had a happy hour special and I definitely took full advantage of it. I got a classic milk tea and got the ube style macaron with it. I will say before I go into the food and drink itself, I was really happy with the person behind the register. She told me it was her very first day at the shop and I was asking these random questions and she was like I don't know but I can go find out for you and I'm like you know what don't worry about it I'm going to just try something at random and see how it goes and she get gold which made me go but it was the best case scenario based on us both not knowing the ins and outs of the menu. The macaron itself was superb. It was not overly sweet, the crunch of the bottom and top were perfect and it definitely melted in your mouth as you savor the taste. My milk tea again I'm a person that enjoys the taste of the tea and the black tea definitely came through which I was really happy about. The one thing that would have really made the tea extremely great for me would have been to be able to change the sweetness level. Again the person behind the register it was her first day so she wasn't sure how to do it so I got it as is but for me it was a little too sweet but again that is my preference. Overall I really enjoyed the space I definitely want to check out the other flavors of macaroons there and just chill out a little more often in this place.

The banana flavor paired surprisingly well with the matcha and made for a really refreshing drink. It was one of those drinks that I immediately knew I'd order again. But honestly, the highlight wasn't even the drink itself. It was the adorable little elephant vessel it came with. They put dry ice inside and then pour water into it, making it look like the elephant is blowing smoke out of its trunk. My daughter was completely mesmerized. Watching her reaction was worth the visit all by itself. What I loved most was that it wasn't just a gimmick. The drink was actually good, and the elephant made such a cute keepsake afterward. It felt like getting both a treat and a souvenir. The café itself had a fun atmosphere, and it was one of those places that felt a little different from your typical coffee or tea stop. Helpful tip: If it's your first visit, order one of the drinks served in the elephant. The presentation alone is worth it, especially if you're visiting with kids. I'm thinking to myself, sooo if you KNOW you're of something that's popular and on the menu, maybe you should put a sign somewhere stating that it's currently NOT AVAILABLE. Then I had to call back home to let my siblings know that the initial drink they wanted was not available, so they can choose something else and again the guy taking the order wad annoyed. My siblings decided upon the Mangonada with brown sugar boba and the iced Dubai Chocolate Matcha. Unfortunately, brown sugar boba was not available was all out for the day according to the cashier.. but no sign stating that they were sold out. I had to call my siblings again to let them know and ask if they wanted crystal boba as a replacement. To keep the order going while I was calling them, I asked for a mochi waffle and the guy threw his hands up annoyed and was like do you not want the boba for drink? I told the cashier I'll have the crystal boba instead of the brown sugar since it's currently unavailable, and the guy goes with an attitude... soo do you want the crystal boba? I said yess...yes I do. The Iced Dubai Chocolate Matcha was alrightt. It is definitely not all that it is hyped up to be. The drink IMO was just a basic iced matcha with chocolate drizzle on the side of the cup and the pistachio foam that barely tasted like pistachio.
