It's fun to select various add-on's to the drinks. And the mochi was delicious. And the staff members were very friendly and knowledgeable about their products. The place seems to be a great place for birthday parties and sweet 16 parties. It's a very pink decor but not at all tacky. It's a nice place for families and a group of youngsters to spend time there like old days malt shop. The place is bright, sweet and happy place. I went here because my girlfriend read that they had a drink that had a plush toy inside. The drink was one price and the cup with the removable toy was an additional 3.50.. I got an iced Vietnamese coffee. Both drinks were very good. My girlfriend was very happy and I have attached a video of the reveal. The other amazing thing is the decoration of the place, all pink and flowers, see attached pictures. I posted the picture on Facebook it was so good. I love Bober Tea and usually go to this location every couple weeks. For over the past month though, their AC has been broken! I came here in August and September, and it's still broken. Why haven't they fixed it? Especially when it's hot here in Sac. As a result, the frosting on their mochi donuts has been damp every time I come here the last couple months, and it smears on the pink wrap when I try to grab a piece. I end up eating practically a plain mochi donut. I don't recommend dining in and/or buying mochi donuts if their AC is broken. Their drinks were still good though. read more

Came here on a week day during the day and it was not busy at all. The place has tall ceilings and the decor is so cute and pink. There so many picture worthy places in the entire store. Flower telephone booth, hot air balloon shake, and flower decor wall. They have a ball pit but it's closed down for the public unless you book a reservation. I ordered the Vietnamese coffee cloud $6 and three mochi donuts. I thought the coffee was pretty good! It wasn't too sweet or too bitter. Headed over at around 4 pm and ordered pretty easily on the kiosks they had. It seems like they are known for their stir fry boba which sounded interesting and our drinks came out soon after we ordered. Roasted Oolong Milk Tea w/ Stir Fry Boba - I opted to get 50% sweetness for the drink and at that level, it was too sweet for my preference still. The oolong flavor of the tea was strong and came through nicely but the stir fry boba was on the harder side. Overall, the stir fry boba didn't stand out to me that much despite enjoying the tea flavor in my drink. read more

Came in for the first time at the end of a Saturday night. So my review is based on it being close to closing, and would definitely differ if we were here at an earlier time. Large, colorful location, very heavy on the pink. Not sure if this location purposely keeps the lighting to a minimum, but it was very low lit, especially in the seating areas near the front door. That may be on purpose to focus your attention on the decor that centered around LED lighting and picture worth setups (Horse and pole, circular search with giant Ballon above, and or the telephone booth area. We tried ordering online but couldn't based on the time, so we attempted to order inside. We ordered about 9 assorted mochi donuts, but after ordering we were told. Most of the donuts available were already purchased by other guests who were waiting near the pickup counter. And that we could only get 4, and the remaining charge would go back to our card. Of the 4 we could get we were only able to 1 get donut that we originally planned to get unfortunately. So we'll have to try again some other time, even though it's been a while since we last were here. For what it's worth, according to girlfriend the donuts were good. I didn't try any since none of the available flavors I liked. Overall: The style and vibe of Bober Tea (or maybe just this location) isn't my thing. So unless I'm picking something up to-go for girlfriend, I wouldn't be back for myself. What can I say? I love boba and Bober is my favorite boba shop in Sacramento. This location is so cute and they have enough seating where you can come and chill here for awhile. The decor is so cute and makes it great for a photo shoot! Their drinks and their boba are the highlight here. The boba is made fresh everyday and it's the best boba I've had compared to other boba shops and I've tried A LOT. My favorite drinks is the brown sugar cookies and cream, that is my go to and it's so yummy! I also love their Thai Tea. They also have a cloud series of Vietnamese coffees and they're really good! My favorite was the egg custard and coconut and the matcha! The service has always been friendly but it can take a bit to get your drinks so make sure you're not in a rush. This location of Bober Tea is on Calvine Road in Elk Grove, near Kohl's. The interior was pink, pretty, and picturesque. There were a number of small tables, but the stairs to the ball pit were closed (sign says by reservation only). Ordering can only be done on the two kiosks, which means card only. I ordered the signature milk tea ($6.90) in the surprise plush cup ($4.50). After a few minutes, the drink came out in a beautiful tall, hombre pastel colored cup. The surprise plush cup had a secret opening and inside was a tan colored Hello Kitty plushie toy on a key chain. It was a cute, fun surprise for Sanrio fans. The drink was really tasty, but because of the plush taking up a lot of room in the cup, there wasn't a lot of drink. Bober Tea had good drinks and was a lovely place to hang out. There are lots of photo worthy areas in the shop. I've only gone to this location a handful of times but they're consistent with their service. In this case, not a good consistency with their service. I'm not sure what goes on but I'm usually waiting 20-30 minutes just for their sliders. I've spent about $30 for a sandwich and two sliders. With $30 you could get way more at other places. It wasn't that busy when I came in either, it was my order and another customer's order. When I got my order it seemed cold which is weird because they have to make it fresh if they take very long to call out my order. They seem to forget the other customer's drink and they had to mention it to them. I usually go to the Bober Midtown or South Sac location. If you like pink, roses and unicorn, you have to check out this Elk Grove location, and live your Instagram dream! Oh, they even have a ball pit on the second level. The décor is over-the-top but in a fun girlie way. They also have to justify charging $7-8 for a drink. I usually get the Mango Green Tea or any seasonal fruit tea. It's always good and refreshing. My second go-to is the Brown Sugar Roasted Oolong Milk Tea with stir-fried boba. I'm a fan! Bober Tea is a very, very PINK boba shop, lol. The service is pretty quick, even during peak times/seasons. The ambiance is casual, geared towards the younger crowd, but everyone goes here! Apparently, it's one of the bigger locations, which includes a ball pit up the flight of stairs. You can rent it for private parties. There's a few photo opps, and today, when I stopped in, they had a HUGE Christmas tree by the door, which I imagine will be fully decorated soon. I've been here a few times in the past. Today, I went specifically for the Surprise Cups (thanks again to the good ole Gram)!! I hoped I wouldn't get anything pink, lol, and YAYYY ME!! I pulled out a blue Cinnamoroll keychain. =) My cousin got a pink one. The cups themselves are pink, and they cost an additional $3.50 in addition to the price of the actual drink/toppings. Would've been cool if the cup was reusable. We also tried the new 10 Yen Cheese Coin. It was small, but the melted Mozzarella cheese in this Japanese pancake waffle was very pull-worthy! You gotta try it if you're a cheese lover! Prices can get up there if you pick and choose toppings. Bober Tea offers a variety of drinks to choose from. I'm glad they'll be opening up in SoCal soon! The only good thing about this boba place is the decor. Came here for the surprise plushies after seeing it on IG. They have 2 kiosks to order from and they will call your name when it's ready. The plushies were cheaply made and obvious knock offs. I received a deformed looking hello kitty that was already falling apart with cotton coming out of its side. Definitely not worth the extra $3.50. On top of that, the drinks here are absolutely disgusting. Got the supreme mango green tea. It supposedly has "fresh fruit" in it but all I received was rotten and brown mangos. It also had no tea taste at all. Paying $7.30 for a drink/ toppings and for it to be completely unpalatable is absolutely unacceptable. Definitely do not recommend this place and don't even know how it's still in business when they are serving the equivalent of sewage as drinks. Ordered the brown sugar milk tea, and I really wish we could adjust the sweetness for it because it's just too sweet for me. As for the roasted oolong milk tea, I got 50% sweet with Konjac jelly. It tasted delicious, but the konjac jelly was so hard to get through the straw because of how big it was. It would be nice if it was sliced smaller. I also got the Mochi donut, and it was so yummy!! Always nice to stop by here when I have a moment. Tuesdays they have $1 mochi donuts with purchase of a drink. I always enjoy surprising my gf with their 'suprise plushie' cup they can serve most if not all of their drinks in. The service is fast. You walk up to a kiosk to order and pay and wait untill you are called after. The inside is always clean and features a pink theme with roses along the wall and candied hearts by the entrance.
