I Ordered a Ham and Cheese on Wheat Bread with Shredded Lettuce and Pickles, My Girlfriend ordered the Same, We decided on the ComboPlate , I had Onion Rings and She had French Fries. WoW, Our Order that we received was Piled high with onion rings as well as my Girlfriends Order with French Fries, Our Meal Was Excellent. My Root Beer Soda was Excellent, The Carbonation was great, not flat. Arianna and Pepe and the Whole Staff were very very Friendly and Helpful. This is my Go to Place! Bobs on Valley Blvd. in City of Industry is Excellent, 5 Stars. The Prices are Perfect. If You Are Hungry, Try this Place. You cannot miss it , there is a Big White Chicken as you enter the Parking Lot. There is also a Drive Thru as well as Plenty of Handicap as well as Ample Parking. The drive thru can take a while if you order the Chicken Teriyaki or Beef Teriyaki plates since it's made fresh, so we order online through Yelp and pick up at the drive thru. I highly recommend the the Beef/Chicken Teriyaki plates (comes with rice and salad) and the 4pc Chicken dinner plate (comes with biscuits, onion rings, fries, and salad). Two westbound travelers near Rte. 60's Hacienda exit just HAD to try Bob's Burgers, partly due to hunger, also lured by the fabled koi pond that spawns speculation about their fish sandwiches being pond-to-plate. Probably not, but just in case, the order was scaled back to pastrami sandwich with fried zucchini, and double bacon cheeseburger with onion rings, both combo substitutions for fries @ $2.50 extra. Substituted sides appear to be full orders, so if you really don't feel like fries, it's kind of a deal. Counter ladies deliver orders to your table, and obligingly provide behind-the-counter extras on request. A condiment bar features pickled carrot spears, fresh red salsa and raw serrano chiles. Fried zucchini was a disappointment, as a heavy jacket of breading concealed each slivery slice of squash. You could score its length in an effort to remove at least half of the breading, or you could hit the easy button and just not order it again. Onion rings were coated in a similar breading, but thank heaven it clung less thickly to onion slices, which made the side a net "yes." Pastrami with mustard and pickles was packed into a compact French roll, wrapped tightly in tissue and sliced in half. Not bad, but the headliner at Bob's is the burgers, and a double bacon cheeseburger was the choice. The patties appeared thin, pre-pressed and pre-frozen, but were cooked well-done, usually my preference. Thousand island dressing was spread on the sesame seed bun. Also not bad, but one problem: The burger was served with no bacon. A side of bacon or a cash refund were offered, and I chose the latter in a token effort to save me from myself. It was a blast checking out this throwback (long live the koi!) burger joint, but La Puente and environs are speckled with casual burger joints, and maiden visits to those would be a higher priority than a return to Bob's. read more

This morning we went to BOB'S to order breakfast. As we placed our order we asked for crispy bacon and hash brown. The lady made it clear to the cook that we asked for extra crispy bacon and hash brown in our burritos. Driving by, the first thing you'll notice is the giant rooster statute out front. Then, you'll see the sign which reads "Bob's Burgers". You'll think to yourself, "Wait, do they do burgers or chicken here?". Hopefully, it's enough to get you to stop in, because the food here, is really good. I love the pastrami here, which is about the best I've ever had. I didn't say it IS the best, just among the best. It is juicy, slightly peppery, plenty meaty, and they pack your sandwich full of it. The bun is slightly toasted but gets just a little soggy from the pastrami juice....this is one damn good pastrami sandwich (sorry, darn good just wouldn't do this time). The regular side of fries are really good too....I mean, for just being fries. Now, top them with chili and cheese and boy oh boy, you've got something to fill you up. The CCF here are pretty good, but nothing I'd rave about...still, solid choice if you're in need of a CCF fix. Oh, and just in case you were wondering, they don't sell rooster here, but they do sell some pretty good fried chicken. It's made in that old school Pioneer chicken way (if you've had it, you don't even need me to tell you how greasy and good it is). Came here for breakfast on a Tuesday. They have daily specials, today's was sausage and eggs for $6.79. it included 3 eggs, hash browns, 4 sausage links and toast. I added a pancake for $2-3, it was a nice fluffy pancake. Kids meal are kinda big. I got a corn dog, came with fries and a drink...I could prob eat this for lunch, way too.much for a toddler.
