Just opened recently and there was quite a long wait for a table (1.5hrs) despite the fact that there were many open tables. Once we were seated our appetizers and entrees arrived within an acceptable amount of time. We had the octopus with fava beans and calamari. The octopus was sublimely tender and flavorful. The calamari with balsamic & Gorgonzola was tasty. My entree was fried sea scallops which were gigantic, sweet and tender. Our waiter was pleasant, attentive and apologetic. Loved the patio, and the food... the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that I called 3 times before coming (they never picked up) and attempted to make a reservation online and after four failed attempts showed up and was forced to wait because others had a "reservation" the host was very kind, just frustrating.. overall we will be back! read more

Stopped by Boca with my wife this afternoon (5/26/21) for a couple of drinks and a light snack. We requested an outdoor table and were escorted to the patio. The table we were given did not have an umbrella and before we sat down realized that it would be too hot and too bright to stay there comfortably. We then requested to be moved to another table and were told their policy would not allow us to be moved. Really? Take it or leave it? PLENTY of empty tables that would still meet pre-May 19 Covid restrictions. Wouldn't even offer us an indoor table. Guess they're making too much money. Amazing. read more

Long wait times. It took 20 minutes for a waitress to approach our table, 25 minutes to just get salad for the table and another 25 for entrees. Multiple people had to send their steaks back because they weren't cooked correctly. Front staff seem to do okay, but the kitchen seems to be a mess. Another 25 minutes for the waitress to take away our plates. However I will say our waitress was very nice about taking things back and switching out dishes. Probably won't come back. Overpriced and waaaaay too long a wait. read more

Boca is just what Fairfield county needs! On the water, wonderful view, beautiful building, attentive friendly staff (Christina @ the bar was wonderful) nice pours, delicious apps (ceviche and grilled octopus amazing), oysters were fresh and shucked perfectly. I love the outside area of this restaurant it's very nice and the indoor area is nice also. The Hostesses are always great. The reservations addition is great now that they added it. However the service this visit and a time before were both poor very unattentive, poor follow-up and then once with addressed with the supervisor Lupe which tried to address the situation but don't think he did a good job sadly. The server never even came back. even though the food I will really have to think about my next visit. read more

This place was a a total disappointment. I went with hopes of a great experience but everything fell flat. Once you get passed the ooo and ahhhs of how nice it the place looks it's true colors truly comes out. It took over and 1hr and a half to get our appetizers. The waitress was overwhelmed and seemed inexperienced. The quick trip to the bar prior to this was also a disappointing as my friends were served by a grumpy bartender he seemed like he hated being there. The appetizers were mediocre at best. We ordered nachos the cheeses was not even melted. Beef tips were also ordered medium they were served dry with a burnt outer edges. We canceled the rest of our food order do to the unbelievable inconsistency of order coming out Nearly half hours apart. Fun fact the place was not even crowded with tons of open tables. The staff was just inexperienced,The manager tried to make it right but the damage was done. I give this place a negative star if I could. I will probably go again after they fire the kitchen staff and provides service training to their college aged staff. read more

Went here for a birthday get together. We shared with the hostess it was our friend's birthday. We were seated and then waited to order drinks. That took a little while. Finally, a waiter came over and explained the system was down, so he was not sure what was going on with tables. We ordered drinks and food with him. Our drinks came to our table. We were in conversation, so we didn't realize our food had not arrived after waiting over an hour. Finally someone from our party went inside to speak to a manager. While speaking to the manager, it was apparent he did not care what we were saying. He was ok-ing us but not interested in what we were saying. Meanwhile there was a table near us with more people in their party and they received full service and attention but they also received their food before we did! We decided we would write a review. As some of the only Black people in the restaurant at this time, this treatment felt deliberate and discriminatory. Not returning and telling everyone I know not to support this kind of restaurant. read more

We went on a Wednesday at 1:30 pm and everything was great! Including service. Great location off I-95 in Bridgeport. We had the margarita flatbread pizza and the chicken cutlet sandwich specials which included soup or salad. Chicken cutlet could have used more mayo but was tasty just a bit dry. The place is very well done and the view is spectacular. I hope this restaurant does well and we will definitely come back here. Please give the restaurant a break people. They are still new and ironing out the kinks. Busy times you have to allow for delays but not rudeness by either the waitstaff or the customers. read more

Had to send back oysters--old and falling apart. Not fresh, plump, salty bivalves from cold Atlantic waters. Market priced, no posted price for oysters. First time ever seeing this. Raw clams were fresher but on the very small side for $1.75 each. I ordered the fried shrimp-6 yummy shrimp, split, fried to a crisp dark brown-which presumably was caused by old, over-used cooking oil. Accompanied by an ample portion of fries, served cold. $30.00 Beautiful location and ample parking. Place needs to close and start over with a new menu, pricing and cook and kitchen staff. Very poor for Connecticut, known for great seafood places like Lenny's. You can do better elsewhere. Come here for a view and a drink. That's my recommendation. Eat elsewhere. read more

My husband and I were so excited for Boca to open because we love sea food and it's very close to home. Tonight we went to meet a friend for dinner and drinks, and all I'm can say is what a HORRIBLE experience!!! There was a small wait but not a big deal. The restaurant was not very busy, but yet there were a bunch of unused tables, both inside the restaurant and out...so not sure why there was a wait at all! Once seated, our server brought us over a bottle of warm water, and no ice in the cups. My husband and I ordered one of their "speciality" drinks and it was disgusting. When we placed our appetizer order the server brought two out of three, then later brought the third saying she forgot it because it came from their "raw bar". We ordered our main entree's at the time we ordered our appetizers (thank god we did) because the server forgot to come back to check on us or even see if we wanted another round. About forty five minutes went by before seeing our server again, only after another server who was passing by stopped at our table to see if we needed or wanted anything. Once the food FINALLY arrived all three dishes were over cooked, bland and cold. Our friend and I ordered chicken dishes, my chicken was supposedly an "organic baked chicken" it was hard as a rock, blackened and had no taste to it. The seagulls that fly around the restaurant are bigger than what my piece of chicken was. The mashed potatoes that came with the dish were cold and bland... our friends chicken dish was served with a blend of tomato and spinach, his chicken fillets were supposed to be baked with Panko but was so hard he could barely cut through it. My husband ordered a steak sandwich with fries and it was cold and soggy. There is no doubt the food sat in the window for a while before being retrieved by a server. When the server brought our food over she said that the kitchen was running behind and a manager would be coming over to talk with us. That never happened... we were fed up, we had been there almost three hours and extremely dissatisfied. We asked for the check, the server informed us that the three bar drinks we ordered was being picked up by the restaurant. Big fat deal.... what a complete and total letdown, what a complete waste of time, and what's even worse what a complete waste of money!! I know we weren't the only ones who had a horrible experience, because as we were leaving other people that were leaving were also complaining about what they had experienced.. My husband and I had a terrible experience here on July 4th. The views were spectacular however that was all. The service and food were terrible and bathrooms were beyond disgusting. We order two $49 Steaks Medium Rare and both were delivered well done. My husband returned his and I kept mine. Before I could ask if they can take mine back to keep it warm, the server vanished. I finished my dinner before my husbands new steak came back. This time it was cooked Medium Well:(. They forgot the sauce he has ordered too. Again the server left before we ask for it. I asked 3 separate servers for a refill on water since our server never came back for over 20 minutes. Desert was a disappointment as well, not what we ordered and cold coffee. The manger and server didn't seem to care at all. The bathrooms were filth, unflushed toilets, sticky floors, foul smell and overflowing trash. 1 Star for the martini's. We celebrated a belated Father's Day today, service was an absolute joke, our server was not capable of getting our drink orders, or food orders correct, we were charged for drinks we did not order and did not receive food we ordered. The food was ok at best after spending $700 we expect a different level of service and food. After 2 1/2, hours when I asked to speak to the manager, (as the server never came back to take our check), the bartender told me he was in charge and could help me he removed the incorrect drinks from the check after he disappeared for 15 minutes. There are far better choices on the water out there please do yourself a favor and seek them out don't make the same mistake we did. read more

Cool spot, but it said it had a dress code on the website. Definitely not enforced, comes off as snobby IMO. Portions were much larger than anticipated in the appetizer section. We tried the fried clam strips, which at any seafood restaurant you receive a huge portion, but at Boca I could count on two hands what was served and paid double for it!! Waiter was fantastic. Food and drinks were good. Problem was with manager who failed to inform us about 2 hour table limit. He told us that they would no longer serve us due to time at table. There were other tables open at the time and we were hundreds of dollars in on our check. Attempted to ask for more time to at table as we did not see other patrons waiting. He stated that everyone spends that money at the restaurant. Disappointed that they didn't advise us of table restricts and did so with an attitude. read more

I've been there twice in the last week. The first one was for drinks only, as the kitchen was so "backed up" that we decided not to wait for 45 minutes (although there were quite a number of empty tables.) We tried again today after my daughter's graduation and arrived to a nearly empty place around 11:30. We ordered lunch, which took 90 minutes (way too long .) The food was cold, and unsavory. Service was mediocre. If there is a manager, he/she ought to check in with customers often. The table next to our ordered nachos, which took 1/2 hour to arrive and were burned to a crisp. I wish this place the best, but will stay away until I see better reviews that the situation has improved. read more

My husband and I came here for our anniversary with friends. We had a reservation which is necessary on a Friday night. Our server Jacklyn was wonderful! We had great drinks and shared clams casino and tuna tartare and they were delicious. We were never rushed and got to enjoy our drinks and apps. My girlfriend had halibut which she loved. I had a wedge salad with colossal shrimp that was perfect. My husband had the cioppino and ate every bit of it. Our fourth had the fried shrimp basket which was delicious and large. For dessert we shared the fabulous cheesecake and brownie sundae. The view is lovely, the restaurant beautiful and the weather was excellent. Who could ask for anything more? read more

I went there with a group of friends on a Sunday and they had a brunch menu with a very few options, the food wasn't good but we ended up having a good time since the location is very nice! And we decided to give a second try on a weekend a night sitting outside with a nice weather, and again the menu has more options but nothing that you would look and be really willing to try, anyways the food had no taste the clams had sand on it, honestly not coming back, don't know how they're gonna survive at winter time!! I was immediately agitated by rude staff in flip flops asking ILLEGAL questions. Dog lovers and Service Dog handlers beware! I've been here before alone and had mediocre sangria and improperly handled Tuna. Beware, not all fish is fresh or properly stored. That's how people get sick. The scenery and patio were enough to get me back to give it a second try. I brought my mother who has a service dog. Upon arrival a blonde hostess says "We can't have dogs in here" to which I reply "He's not a pet, he's a service dog" she doesn't say a word to me and tells another host where to seat me. Upon waiting for a table to be cleaned, some guy named Yanni Taxiltaridis with a t shirt and flip flops walks up to me saying they don't allow dogs. Again I state "He's not a pet, he's a service dog". Flip flop guy asks for an ID which I tell him that in our country an ID for a service dog is not required by law, and that it's actually ILLEGAL to ask for one. Flip flop guy says "I'll take my chances". I don't have to show flip flop guy anything, but I show him an ID that I used to bring my dog to the Bahamas just to shut him up. I wonder how this would have went down with another Service Dog handler with a larger dog (mine is 3 pounds) or someone that doesn't know the law. This place is despicable and they should be ashamed that some flip flop guy from a frat party is representative of their business. It's 2019 in America and this guy doesn't even know his laws and shows zero respect to the American Disability Act. No wonder they barely had a dozen tables filled. read more

Went for happy hour on Friday. The atmosphere was amazing, everything else not so much.. the raw bar left much to be desired, not to mention picked over. Glad to see the Steel Point area taking shape. The Bocca is a good addition to the area. We ate outdoors last week and enjoyed the food, the view and the breeze but on very hot and sunny days they will need more umbrellas for shade. As the area takes shape there will be a waterfront walkway and hopefully a connection to the transportation hub (train, bus, ferry) and amphitheater and arena so that the area can be a destination versus a brief stop. We found the service was very good and the price was reasonable so we are heading back tonight with friends. read more

Beautiful place, the decor and location are amazing. Had a reservation here for a large party for a work related social function. Reading other reviews about poor service but we did not experience that at all, the service was attentive and prompt. We shared a bunch of appetizers and they were all delicious: favorites were the nachos and the calamari. Calamari with blue cheese crumbles and balsamic drizzle was very tasty and not the same old same old. Also lamb lollipops were perfectly cooked and delicious. Our table also shared several desserts and they were all great. Would definitely go back and look forward to doing so in the warmer months to enjoy the outdoor space. read more

I hope people go back and review again. I tend to not go the first month as they work all the kinks out. That being said, know what you are getting before you go. You are getting awesome, fresh seafood and great staff and are going to pay for it. You want $1 a shrimp, go to a gas station. Went with a party of 4 and hit the bar first. We had and I recommend reservations as it is the new hot spot. Staff at bar and at table were great. We had raw bar to start and zero issues. Shrimp were gigantic, clams were great, oysters were huge and lobster tail was perfect. You find this on the Menu as "Biggest" under raw bar. Grilled octopus was up next and the crispy garbanzo beans could be served as an item themselves! Lamb lollipops were some of the 4 tastiest i have ever had! No desert..........But a friend mentioned i should start talking Wifi. They have an open WiFi and its speeds were insane! So if you have kids or are coming down to get a drink and do some work, they got your back! read more
