I am displeased to report that we had an aggravating experience at this restaurant and I feel the need to warn other clients because it did not appear to be a one-off experience. We went for lunch during Restaurant Week and we checked the menu online before visiting. It clearly stated lunch was $30 prix fixe. When we arrived, the same menu and price were posted at the door. Upon sitting down, we were presented with the $45 dinner menu (which is only supposed to be offered after 4:00). We asked not once but twice for the lunch menu and we were told by the waiter that the dinner menu was the only one. I asked if the price would be $30 or $45 and we were told $30. So we ordered, had a good meal (the appetizers were excellent, my chicken main course was dry) and we received the check and (behold) they charged us $45 each. My concern, and what I want to make everyone aware of, is that while we were dining, two other parties came in and we could hear them asking the same question about the menu. I wonder if they had the same issue upon receiving their checks. Why is this restaurant giving patrons a more expensive dinner menu during lunch hours? You can come to your own conclusion. read more

Absolutely incredible! Great ambiance, caring staff, delicious food, ample seating--perfect for groups, business meals, and a date night. My friend and I dined here for late lunch/early dinner today and had a grand ol time! The 3pm time frame had no customers besides us so it felt very intimate and private dining-like. Earn points via OpenTable reservation and pay with InKind! The host was so friendly and personable. The bartender was engaging and exhibited behaviors showing he enjoyed his job. The manager was greeting guests as more started rolling in and organizing tables, making everyone feel welcome, appreciated, and acknowledged. The server/table service was excellent---consistent, prompt, recurrent but uninvasive, and genuine. Water glasses were routinely filled. Our table was clear of dirty dishes promptly. Meal courses were timed well and paced appropriately. My glass of rose wine for $8 was superb! The caprese appetizer was packed with fresh flavors and aromas and exceeded my expectations. The chicken piccata was well balanced with a good amount of sauce and capers. The tiramisu was a deconstructed dessert that was heavenly and garnished with fruit, flair, and passion. Their lunch deal is $25 and included the app, entree, and dessert. What a steal! I would recommend and return! Honestly get yourself over to this spot sooner than later. read more

The food did come out very quickly which likely were premade in advance but pasta was al denté still. 1. Zucchini fritter - came as "fries", soggy and oily. I'd skip this next time 2. I came here for a work dinner and had some apps to share (not pictured) such as tuna tartare, meatball, and some potato squares. The tuna tartare was the best thing I had all night. It was fresh and tasted exactly how I expected it to. The meatball was standard and the potatoes were a bit stale. For my entree I got the NY strip cooked medium, but it ended up being well done. I felt like I've cooked better steaks since this one didn't have any char or seasoning on it. The mashed potatoes had a parmesan crust at the top, which was nice. Aside from that, it reminded me of instant mashed potatoes, but somehow not as good. The spinach was standard and nothing to stand out on. read more

Saturday dinner here after going to an exhibit at the Botanical Garden. Low lights, open windows and a front deck- large parties and plenty of staff running around. Made reservations at 9:30pm - and we were able to get there early at 9:15. We were sat immediately as things were starting to wind down for the night. We started with the caprese salad which was good - the mozzarella ball was full of stracatella and tasted fresh. Tomatoes were very good - but little to zero basil-- which is a KEY INGREDIENT TO CAPRESE! No balsamic either. Meh. They had the immortal trio of my Italian dishes: parm, carbonara, and cacio e pepe. I went with carbonara which was good - but they had run out of bread for the table. It's an Italian place!?? Dessert I went with the cheesecake - which may have been the most sad cheesecake I've had in awhile. Oh they were out of tiramisu and the main chocolate torte. We came in for dinner on a Friday night with no reservations and were able to be seated right away- sadly it seemed the restaurant was not busy at all, there were only a couple of other tables taken. We shared a few pastas and I had the mists salad with grilled shrimp. The lasagna looked absolutely decadent (so smothered in cheese) - a little too cheesy for me but the mists pasta was so refreshing, light and perfectly dressed with crunchy veggies, the addition of the shrimp made it perfect as the shrimp were perfectly cooked and quite large in size! We ended w the Choco cake and affogato - the cake was as you would expect from a Choco lava cake! Not sure why it was so quite on a Friday night but it was nice to have a no fuss meal. read more

I ordered a breakfast sandwich which was supposed to have bacon. I asked waiter twice for no bacon. Got the sandwich and it had bacon so asked him for a new one. He brought another one out very quickly which should have been suspicious but as I was eating it see pieces of bacon. They did not make a new sandwich but rather just took out the bacon and there were clearly pieces left. I had told him I was allergic so this was very irresponsible on their part. Most restaurants are very respectful of dietary restrictions or allergies so I am shocked this restaurant does not care and would rather save the effort of making a new sandwich when I had three times specified no bacon. read more

This is the worst Italian restaurant I've been to in manhattan. Our table ordered their best selling lasagna, squid ink pasta, pesto, and vongole pasta for main. Every single dish was a miss. The portion was large but the food itself tasted poorly - Lasagna was the most disappointing as it tasted like microwave food. The worst item on the menu was definitely the tiramisu which might have been expired since the lady finger was unbelievably dry. We needed a pre-theatre dinner, and wanted Italian. Bocca Di Bacco looked like it would fill the bill, so we grabbed a res. We arrived on time but waited a few mins for our table; understandable in the Theatre District/Hell's Kitchen Sat night 2 hours before curtain time. The room is crowded and super-loud. No romantic "Lady and the Tramp" dinners here. The 2-top at which we were seated was small, but not too close to other tables, so we could hear each other speak, albeit with raised voices. We started with a glass of the Orvieto; decent pour and nicely chilled. They brought us a small complimentary bread basket with a little bowl of olives, a few slices of spicy sopressata, and a piece of parmigiano cheese. That was a really nice touch. We moved on to the burrata "caprese" appetizer; the burrata was wonderful, but the heirloom tomato wedges were about a day away from optimal ripeness. We ordered the veal piccata and the fettuccine bolognese for our mains. The fettuccine was a huge portion; I wish it had been cooked al dente since it was advertised as made in-house, but it was dunked a little too long. The sauce was good, but really more of a ragu than a bolognese. The veal was a nice presentation with greens and mashed potatoes, and a properly lemony sauce. Unfortunately, the large portion of meat was dry and tough; so tough that we only ate about 1/2 of the portion and gave up. So, I can't give a recommendation for anything but location; there are too many wonderful Italian places in Manhattan for me to give this one another shot. read more

Very mediocre brunch food as you might be able to tell from the picture lol. Not sure if the frittata was even a frittata more than a thin omelette. And the potatoes were soggy and not seasoned (as in, everyone at my table was asking where the salt shaker was haha) - not sure if that was an intentional thing? I would compare the food quality to a subpar Denny's (there are some Denny's locations that are actually good though). A couple positives: they're REALLY good about refilling your glass if you're doing the bottomless brunch, and we definitely overstayed our welcome. Not sure if they let us stick around because the place was a little empty. They also don't have that annoying rule where the whole table is forced to pay for bottomless, so if you have non-alcohol drinking friends, this is good to keep in mind! :) Most of the clientele are people celebrating birthdays since it's hard to find other places that will host larger groups. Overall: staff was cool, good for big groups. Potatoes were hilariously bland and food was meh. read more

Came here for bottomless brunch on a Sunday and it wasn't too packed and I was pleasantly surprised at the bottomless drink option being an extra $26 for two whole hours. Most places do 60 or 90 minutes so that was a good deal. There's also food on their main menu so you can order pretty much anything-I did decide to get the pesto pasta and it was great, maybe a bit too filling for brunch but tasted great. The restaurant is a bit on the noisy side, but it is NYC after all. This location is a bit outta the way, and the ambiance and decor is eclectic. We were surprised at the music choices. The food was quite good. Many enjoyed the eggplant, Bronzino, and house made pasta dishes. The wine selection was ok. The value was reasonable for NYC. Service was ok, and we often had to hunt down the waiter to take our order, refill water, wine, and Waites over 30 min for the check. Whenever we asked for something he was quick to respond.
