The food is over salted. We had a hard time finishing our food. Half of it went into the trash. Instead of putting the sauce over all the rice, maybe keep it separate, as the salty sauce soaked into all the rice and there was no normal seasoned rice to eat. Cool place , the best wait staff one could hope for. Rehobeth has some very good restaurants for a beach town. This is a Gem. I know opinions are like a$&@)!?'s everybody has one, but this place is a hit. Soup dumplings leave you wondering if you should order more. Chicken wraps lovely. The Pad Thai show stopper the best I have ever had, I usually do not order this anymore because of the over cooked noodles and gloppyness. But, gave it a go and this was excellent by far. Dinner, Party of 3 Sunday, July 23, for approximately $170. The restaurant occupies the former Lily Thai space. The restaurant has a cool vibe, dark lacquered floors with black furniture, banquettes, and interesting decorative elements, including Chainmail dividers and hanging lights, some of which flicker throughout the space creating an interesting ambiance. The music was WAY too loud when we sat down, and with the lights, you would have thought you were eating in a nightclub. While eating, someone turned down the music to an inaudible level but then cranked it back up as we finished our meal. music level for most of the meal was too loud to have a conversation over dinner. Since this is a new place, our strategy was to try multiple dishes which we would share. We ordered one cocktail each. We ordered Hong Kong Shrimp Toast, Thai Chicken lettuce wraps, the pork belly steam bun, bang bang shrimp steam bun, Dan Dan Noodles, Pad Thai with shrimp, and Kim Chi Fried Rice with Chicken. The Soup dumplings and Steamed Dumplings on the online menu were not listed or available Sunday evening. The first dish presented was the Shrimp Toast which was a decent portion and tasted good. However, the condiment served with it needed to be more for the portion. Next, the lettuce wraps arrived, which were limp and tasteless. The lettuce used was leaf lettuce which did not have adequate structure to hold what was served on them. You could not pick up these limp wraps without the contents spilling off the lettuce, and to make matters worse, the filling itself was just as bland as the lettuce. Next up were the steam buns (one steam bun per order), big buns, and not much in them. One had a small piece of pork belly, and the bang bang bun had two tiny shrimp and NO BANG. The Dan Dan Noodle arrived next. Having eaten this dish in many places, I was surprised by the portion, the ingredients used (or lack thereof), and the lack of color. Dan Dan noodle is a chili oil base dish with fried ground pork, which sticks to the noodles. What was presented was an unappetizing bowl of limp noodles in grey liquid with boiled ground pork and too much Chinese Five spice added. The broth lacked body, did not stick to the noodles, and the overuse of five spices was off-putting. PF Changs frozen entrée at $6.00 is WAY better than what was served for $24.00. The Pad Thai with shrimp was ok. Three decent-sized shrimp were served with the entrée. However, the dish did not include chopped peanuts, not because we asked them not to add the peanuts, but because they forgot to put them in the dish (the server told us they forgot). Seriously, if you charge $26.00 for a bowl of noodles with three shrimp, YOU NEED TO GET IT RIGHT. The last entrée to arrive was the Kim Chi fried rice with grilled chicken, the ONLY dish of the evening that the group enjoyed. This entree had a nice kick of heat from the kimchi. This restaurant has only been open a short time (two weeks) and has a great concept and cool vibe. Unfortunately, given how pricey the food is, it was lackluster, not appropriately prepared, with small portions, and overall underwhelming. Wanted to give it 3 stars but after some thought 2 is about right. The music is a bit loud, no easy conversation is possible. The flickering lights are a bit strange, just because LED lights can do just about anything doesn't mean you should do it. The dishes sounded fantastic, we shared a bunch of small plates and entrees between the six of us. Most lacked flavor and missed the mark. I may go back during the off-season to see if they get it together but there are just too many other options to choose from. read more

My wife and I were very hopeful that we had found a reliable restaurant in the area and were extremely disappointed in the results. The pad Thai was average at best, and overly spicy. My wife had ordered a fishcakes entrée that was extremely spicy, somewhat inedible even though the menu did not indicate it as very spicy. A lot of times, restaurants will over spice their food to hide freshness. In addition to the less than average food, The service is very very slow. They primarily had one waitress, working the room with a helper. The ambience of the restaurant is very nice and pleasing. Unfortunately the food and the service did match up to that. The the four of us went on 23 August 2024 at 6:30pm. Arrived on time and proceeded to order - food was tasty but portions were small. Overall not worth cost. Most importantly , when the food was served our server told us that her next table was coming in 45 minutes so please note I need the table at that time. We completed our meal "on time." Bodhi Kitchen is amazing, it has set a new, higher bar for the already fabulous Rehoboth Beach Downtown foodie scene! The atmosphere is reminiscent of a chic New York restaurant, cool music, creative, modern Asian decor, and very welcoming from the moment you walk through the fun entrance. The cocktails and service were superb. I had the Bang Bang Shrimp Steam Bun, and it was the best thing I have eaten in ages...our party also had the Pad Thai, the Dan Dan Noodles, the Shrimp Toast, and the Kim Chi Fried Rice-all dishes were incredibly tasty. Was excited to try and know only being open 1 week everything will hopefully improve. Space is very tight. Food was nothing special and very pricey. Drinks are yummy and also very expensive. Started with shrimp toast...tasty fried toast with a very spicy sauce. Pad Thai was tasteless except for the delicious protein shrimp or chicken. Noodles were all undercooked and sauce was very spicy. If you don't like HOT please mention to server. The VIBE was like being in a disco. It did not fit the ambiance of a Thai like restaurant. My wife and I have been wanting to try Bodhi Kitchen for many months and finally got reservations tonight. Started with a Cosmo and a Martini with Soup Dumplings - drinks were spot on and dumpling were very tasty. Next we had the Dan Dan Noodles and Singapore Salted Shrimp. In spite of the menu saying they were spicy, to us they were not but the Chili Oil provided by the staff allowed you to make it as spicy as you wanted. Both were excellent. Servers were also very attentive and provided good advice on the menu. The only negative was the wine prices and selection. We will be back and stick to drinks and skip the after dinner glass of wine. read more

We went into Bohdi because my daughter wanted soup dumplings and walking past checked their menu so we're just going to get that for her and a beverage. They were amazing so we got 2 more orders and a few other dishes such as the pork belly and shrimp buns. The food was incredible, the staff super friendly and a very cool vibe and atmosphere. Went to Bodhi Kitchen In Rehoboth Beach for dinner tonight. Everything was excellent!! Signature drinks (I had the Happy Buddha, cause I'm partial to gin) were perfect! Soup dumplings I could eat all day long! The soup was inside the dumplings... a great twist. Pad Thi with shrimp so good the shrimp had a just grilled taste that I loved. The killer was the fried chicken and rice with spicy mango on the side.... I want some more now!! All so very good, reminds me of Buddakan in Philly. Had high hopes for this place. Ambience is clubby, NY style vibe with heavy bass infused music. Food was not worth the price. Soup dumplings were bite sized- not the big steamy buns that make your mouth water. Not really dumpling-y or soup-y- just 'meh", which describes the lettuce wraps and pad Thai as well. What a treat. I'm lucky enough to get to this place shortly after it opened and it did not disappoint. Wonderful exciting flavors in each dish and decor to match. House cocktails were surprising and delicious, especially the Szechuan sour. Attentive but not clingy service rounded out a very good first try. One small note: the Euro techno was a little much, but I party with the blue-plate special crowd (ate at 5:30) so I might be off base on that. Goodness gracious.
