Don't doubt the food just because it's in a strip mall. Unassuming environment, Boil Daddy serves fresh squeezed lemonades and flavorful dishes. We had a strawberry lemonade, passionfruit lemonade, Arnold Palmer, Shrimp Daddy Bowl, and Daddy's Noods - both dishes with Daddy's sauce and medium spiciness. We'll be back!

I'm giving this five stars because the effort here was undeniable. It appeared the gentleman working was handling the kitchen and the register entirely on his own. While the customer service was a bit strained and the food was a little bland, I have to give credit where it's due--he was wearing multiple hats and doing his best to keep the doors open. The facility was clean, and the other guests made for a great atmosphere. I suspect the lack of seasoning was simply a result of the staff being spread too thin. I'll definitely be back to give them another try when they aren't under so much pressure!

Was craving seafood boil, checked out Yelp, drove here swayed by the 5 star reviews. Diego welcomed us and explained the menu and their difference with Boiling Crab. He recommended the "Seaman's Catch" for $82 which consists of 2 snow crab clusters, a lb of shrimp, 2 corns, 5 potatoes, 5 sausages and 2 drinks! Love their sweet tea! We picked mild Daddy Sauce and it was perfect. Calamari was our appetizer which came out fast and piping hot. Husband ordered rice for the crab and it was a generous serving. Both crab and shrimps were fresh and juicy. If you like Boiling Crab's sha-bang sauce, you will enjoy their Daddy Sauce version. There was a stream of to-go orders and pick-ups. The restaurant is very clean and cozy (no TV, no loud music, no frills). We will return for the garlic noods and loaded bayou fries! Thank you Diego for the recommendations. This is located next to Popeye's Fried Chicken on Haster x Garden Grove Blvd.

Service was good. One of the first customers of the day had freshly mopped floors upon arrival. I got medium spicy and mixture of sauces. It was a bit of on sweeter side for seafood boil but was still good . The mango lemonade was the highlight of the show. Homemade and squeezed to perfection. They have a riddle of a day where you can win a free freshly squeezed lemonade with your choice of flavor !!

Super delicious seafood boil place in Garden Grove. We all ordered shrimp with Daddy sauce and it was perfectly spicy and garlicky. The corn was my favorite addition. The fries were crisp but still soft and were great with ranch and lemon. Their lemonade was also really good and freshly squeezed! 10/10 would definitely recommend.

I LOVE SEAFOOD BOIL! it's my go to comfort food! or when I feel like I need to treat myself! With that being said, I frequent seafood boils like Boiling Crab, Kickin' Crab, Hot N Juicy, etc. This spot is definitely a hidden gem, and lowkey want to gatekeep it because I want to be able to get a table still! Food: You can do half pounds here! So if you're ballin' on a budget (like me) and want to try a little of everything, you can! I usually get a half pound of shrimp and a half pound of either clams or mussels, sometimes I get corn, eggs, or potatoes. Eggs in a seafood boil is slept on, definitely recommend! The shrimp is super big and plump so it's worth what you're paying for it. And can't go wrong with mussels or clams (if that's what you like). - The food is served in a tray, not a bag like other seafood boil places, but it makes sauce easier to get to! Sauce: I usually get the Daddy Sauce (mix of Cajun & Garlic Butter), basically their house sauce...the sauce is sweet and has a lot of garlic, love! and for spice level I get Medium or OMG! (which if you're feeling spicy like SPICY, then get this but be warned it burns!) Ambiance: It's nicely decorated, with cute color for the walls, and very neat and clean. Service: They're really nice! Although they can get busy sometimes, they try their best to help you. Overall, the food here is delicious!

This is the Second time that I go to this placed and OMG! AMAZING !!! DELICIOSO! If you're a garlic lover , this dish will be like heaven to you! The potatoes , the sausage , the shrimp, DELICIOUS! straight out, it's a 9.4/10! Highly recommend it to everyone who enjoys these type of foods. Also, the place is very clean and presentable and service has been amazing.

I don't even know where to start... this place has completely fallen off. This used to be one of my favorite spots, and I've brought multiple friends here over time. This time I hyped it up again--and honestly, I was embarrassed. The crawfish had ZERO flavor, the shrimp and clams were just as bad, and the sauce tasted off and watered down. Nothing was seasoned right. It felt like no care was put into the food at all. What's crazy is how much food we left untouched. If you look at the trays, that should tell you everything. We paid for all that food just to barely eat it because it was that nasty. That's never happened here before, and it says a lot about how bad it's gotten. On top of that, the service was just as disappointing. We solved your riddle promo and were supposed to get a free lemonade--but of course, nothing. No follow-through, no communication. That's on the owner. At this point, y'all might as well change the name to "Boil Crappy", because that's exactly what this experience was. Between the terrible food, lack of flavor, wasted money, and poor service, you've officially lost a loyal customer--and not just me, but the friends I brought with me too. Do better. .

Finally got to try Boil Daddy! I have always frequented places like Boiling Crab and Kickin Crab, so wanted to see how they compared! The crawfish isn't in season so we went with shrimp (head on), clams, mussels, and some fries with their daddy sauce (mild, medium, hot-we went with hot for one and medium for another) I liked that they have the options for 1/2 a pound! Great if you want to order multiple things and for trying different seafoods without having to commit to a whole pound. The shrimp, clams, and mussels were all good! Didn't taste frozen or rubbery, was very fresh! The medium sauce is perfect! Great blend of garlic flavor and spice, however we did enjoy the spicy (It is pretty spicy!) mixing medium and spicy together was good too! I also really enjoyed their Cajun dusted fries! They give a generous portion as well! Overall really enjoyed the place!

Where do I start? This place is amazing. First off, kudos to the single server that handled all the tables. Great customer service, always kept checked in on us even when it got busy. The seafood boil is amazing. Explosion of flavor, and the perfect balance of spice. Definitely recommend going with the Daddy sauce. Highly reccomend going with the Chef's mate combo. Definitely worth it as you get 1 lb of shrimp, 2 lobster tails, and 2 snow crab clusters. I love how it comes in a tray rather than your normal plastic bag. The shrimp was large, meaty and perfectly cooked. The lobster tail was large, it wasn't dry at all, perfectly tender.The snow crab clusters were juicy and sweet, easy to crack. Delicious. Definitely reccomend adding on linguine noodles, they mix it in with the seafood boil, so it gets all saucy and it's the perfect combo together. Noodles come Al dente.

Me & my bf wanted to try something new & we came across this place on yelp so we decided to check it out & we were soooo happy we did! From the fresh lemonade to the wings everything was sooo yummy we ordered the instant noodles & omg they were so garlicky and full of flavor. That was probably my favorite thing on the menu. The daddy fries were also superb! If you have to choose 2 things from the menu I'd get the instant noodles and the daddy fries for sure. The wings are some of the fattest and juiciest wings I've ever had, BWW could never. The shrimp boil is full of flavor and super juicy. The best part about our visit was the exceptional customer service we received, Chinh & her husband were super friendly and went above and beyond for us. The worse place for seasoned shellfish. BIG disappointment when I ordered 1lb of crawfish and 2 lbs of clams. While my crawfish tasted like they just got dipped in and out from hot water, my clams barely had any meat. If you are looking for good cajun foods avoid this place at no costs. read more

This was a very good choice to make for food. After putting this place off for a long time I finally made the decision to try it. On entry and I noticed the place smelled great was really clean. Had a good vibe and I was greeted when I walked in the door. The cashier was really friendly that cook came out and spoke to me when receiving my food it was well packaged. Everything was there that I asked for he gave me extra condiments and was really friendly and kind. On my way out. The food was good. I went here for the second time, ordering the Boatswain's Catch Combo (with the lobster tails and shrimp) online for takeout. The food was awesome, but I wanted to give a shout-out to the lady working today. She greeted me as I came in, and was extremely polite and making sure I had everything I needed before leaving, while also recommending to try their fresh-squeezed lemonade next time and thanking me for supporting their restaurant. She was also appreciative of the fact that I made the drive from Downtown Huntington Beach. Definitely a good place! First of all, the service is amazing and the quality of the seafood and drinks are excellent! My friend got shrimp and calamari, I got a party tray for myself. The bummer is that the daddy sauce isn't very good - it was very sweet and lacking in flavor. It almost tasted like tomato sauce with sugar. New in town but definitely not new to customer satisfaction. They make you feel like your business matters all while making sure you know exactly what you're getting for your money. The options are incredible, even better is the fact that if your family/friends don't eat seafood but want to come with you they have JUMBO WINGS that are DELICIOUS and when they say JUMBO they mean it. On a scale of buss it was mid. We got shrimp and crawfish, the shrimp was good but the crawfish was frozen instead of live (probably should've asked before hand) but it was not stated on the menu. Sauce was pretty good we got the daddy sauce. Workers were nice didn't have any issues and the inside is pretty small but can still fit bigger parties. Situated in the tiniest parking lot ever so it's very easy to get stuck or have no parking. read more

My new favorite seafood boil spot! The Daddy Sauce is amazing, perfect balance between sweet and savory (a lot of other places can't seem to get this balance down). We got the crawfish and shrimp and everything was juicy and tender. The mahalo shrimp and fried fish were also amazing, fish was super tender and flaky. And as if it can't get any better, the lemonade is the BEST IN ALL OF OC. We got the mango, lychee, and pomegrante lemonades and it got us wanting more the next day. Highly recommend!! read more

We came to Anaheim for Disneyland and found this hidden gem !! Ordered the loaded fries and big daddy bowl for appetizer with big daddy sauce DELICIOUS!!! Fries were my favorite. I had Arnold Palmer my sister had lychee Alabama sweet tea. Sweet & yummy! Entre we ordered mix and match shrimp and muscles with corn and garlic noodles soooo yummmmy I decided to get Medium spicy and it was perfect. Not too spicy not too light, but I love my food spicy. Lastly service was good our server made us laugh ! I'm definitely coming back when we go to Disney next year read more

Going to give it 3 stars because their sauce is BOMB. But both times I've ordered shrimp there's been rotten shrimp. Kinda disappointed and now I'm not sure I'll give it another chance. Service is good *Edit after the owner replied* I've been eating seafood boil- shrimp for YEARS and I know when it's over cooked and straight up ROTTEN. Raising claw down the street has never sold me shrimp like that and I've been buying for over a year there. Over cooked shrimp get hard and rubbery and it's in a tight O shape. Mine was not like that. Mine had MANY shrimp that had a dark gray color to it. And were ripped in half or not even in half , in different ways! I 100000% wish I took pictures to show the shrimp I got sold TWICE. read more

We ate at Boil Daddy today and it was an amazing experience! We were delighted with the Bayou fries, the sauces on it are so delicious. The shrimp was also very tasty we tried both peeled and unpeeled, they were both full of taste with their delicious daddy sauce. I'm not sure how long this spot has been open but there are definitely Some kinks to work out. It can only seat 6 tables so about 22 people in the restaurant. It's only 2 employees in the front and they were running all night long. I couldn't get simple stuff like water, sauce, refills unless I asked. The food is okay. The crab portion being one cluster for $36 is a bit steep in my opinion but seems to be the going rate. I think to maximize business, you need to change the table set up, change the wait area set up as the large party blocked the server going in and out. I noticed they turned down 2 delivery orders and said it wasn't ready. If customers get upset enough, they'll cancel their orders and kick that expense to the shop. It'd be better to upstaff the kitchen to be able to meet the demand of the front of the store and the pick up orders. We waited quite a while and so did other tables. I'd hate to give it any lower of a rating because they were working very hard. I just think they need more staff. All it takes is one unhappy group to blow the ratings out of the water and tank the really good ratings they do have. read more

I really like that they let you do 1/2 pound portions so you can try more items without committing to a full pound. All the seafood came out fresh, not rubbery or frozen-tasting, and the medium sauce had a good garlic flavor with just enough spice.
