Service was wonderful. Our waiter always checking up on us. Food was 9/10. We'll be back

I'm giving this five stars because the effort here was undeniable. It appeared the gentleman working was handling the kitchen and the register entirely on his own. While the customer service was a bit strained and the food was a little bland, I have to give credit where it's due--he was wearing multiple hats and doing his best to keep the doors open. The facility was clean, and the other guests made for a great atmosphere. I suspect the lack of seasoning was simply a result of the staff being spread too thin. I'll definitely be back to give them another try when they aren't under so much pressure!

Seaman's Catch $82

Was craving seafood boil, checked out Yelp, drove here swayed by the 5 star reviews. Diego welcomed us and explained the menu and their difference with Boiling Crab. He recommended the "Seaman's Catch" for $82 which consists of 2 snow crab clusters, a lb of shrimp, 2 corns, 5 potatoes, 5 sausages and 2 drinks! Love their sweet tea! We picked mild Daddy Sauce and it was perfect. Calamari was our appetizer which came out fast and piping hot. Husband ordered rice for the crab and it was a generous serving. Both crab and shrimps were fresh and juicy. If you like Boiling Crab's sha-bang sauce, you will enjoy their Daddy Sauce version. There was a stream of to-go orders and pick-ups. The restaurant is very clean and cozy (no TV, no loud music, no frills). We will return for the garlic noods and loaded bayou fries! Thank you Diego for the recommendations. This is located next to Popeye's Fried Chicken on Haster x Garden Grove Blvd.

Don't doubt the food just because it's in a strip mall. Unassuming environment, Boil Daddy serves fresh squeezed lemonades and flavorful dishes. We had a strawberry lemonade, passionfruit lemonade, Arnold Palmer, Shrimp Daddy Bowl, and Daddy's Noods - both dishes with Daddy's sauce and medium spiciness. We'll be back!

Amazing sauce. Have tried other seafood boil places & this place sauce is YUM. Not too salty & not too sweet. Just the right amount & perfectly balance. Their shrimp is huge compared to other places they only give you medium size shrimps. Late night cravings & this was so much satisfying. Highly recommend

I LOVE SEAFOOD BOIL! it's my go to comfort food! or when I feel like I need to treat myself! With that being said, I frequent seafood boils like Boiling Crab, Kickin' Crab, Hot N Juicy, etc. This spot is definitely a hidden gem, and lowkey want to gatekeep it because I want to be able to get a table still! Food: You can do half pounds here! So if you're ballin' on a budget (like me) and want to try a little of everything, you can! I usually get a half pound of shrimp and a half pound of either clams or mussels, sometimes I get corn, eggs, or potatoes. Eggs in a seafood boil is slept on, definitely recommend! The shrimp is super big and plump so it's worth what you're paying for it. And can't go wrong with mussels or clams (if that's what you like). - The food is served in a tray, not a bag like other seafood boil places, but it makes sauce easier to get to! Sauce: I usually get the Daddy Sauce (mix of Cajun & Garlic Butter), basically their house sauce...the sauce is sweet and has a lot of garlic, love! and for spice level I get Medium or OMG! (which if you're feeling spicy like SPICY, then get this but be warned it burns!) Ambiance: It's nicely decorated, with cute color for the walls, and very neat and clean. Service: They're really nice! Although they can get busy sometimes, they try their best to help you. Overall, the food here is delicious!

Super delicious seafood boil place in Garden Grove. We all ordered shrimp with Daddy sauce and it was perfectly spicy and garlicky. The corn was my favorite addition. The fries were crisp but still soft and were great with ranch and lemon. Their lemonade was also really good and freshly squeezed! 10/10 would definitely recommend.

I don't even know where to start... this place has completely fallen off. This used to be one of my favorite spots, and I've brought multiple friends here over time. This time I hyped it up again--and honestly, I was embarrassed. The crawfish had ZERO flavor, the shrimp and clams were just as bad, and the sauce tasted off and watered down. Nothing was seasoned right. It felt like no care was put into the food at all. What's crazy is how much food we left untouched. If you look at the trays, that should tell you everything. We paid for all that food just to barely eat it because it was that nasty. That's never happened here before, and it says a lot about how bad it's gotten. On top of that, the service was just as disappointing. We solved your riddle promo and were supposed to get a free lemonade--but of course, nothing. No follow-through, no communication. That's on the owner. At this point, y'all might as well change the name to "Boil Crappy", because that's exactly what this experience was. Between the terrible food, lack of flavor, wasted money, and poor service, you've officially lost a loyal customer--and not just me, but the friends I brought with me too. Do better. .

Chase. You will be missed. So glad we are able to meet you on your last day. Thank you. So the service was great! Food, chef's kiss! Everything we ordered was delicious. Loaded Bayou fries, were soooooo good! My sister ordered the wontons stuffed with cream cheese, she said they were good. (I'm not a fan of cream cheese) but I will definitely come back again!

This is the Second time that I go to this placed and OMG! AMAZING !!! DELICIOSO! If you're a garlic lover , this dish will be like heaven to you! The potatoes , the sausage , the shrimp, DELICIOUS! straight out, it's a 9.4/10! Highly recommend it to everyone who enjoys these type of foods. Also, the place is very clean and presentable and service has been amazing.

Finally got to try Boil Daddy! I have always frequented places like Boiling Crab and Kickin Crab, so wanted to see how they compared! The crawfish isn't in season so we went with shrimp (head on), clams, mussels, and some fries with their daddy sauce (mild, medium, hot-we went with hot for one and medium for another) I liked that they have the options for 1/2 a pound! Great if you want to order multiple things and for trying different seafoods without having to commit to a whole pound. The shrimp, clams, and mussels were all good! Didn't taste frozen or rubbery, was very fresh! The medium sauce is perfect! Great blend of garlic flavor and spice, however we did enjoy the spicy (It is pretty spicy!) mixing medium and spicy together was good too! I also really enjoyed their Cajun dusted fries! They give a generous portion as well! Overall really enjoyed the place!

Snow Crab Cluster and Shrimp Peeled-Off boil

I really like this restaurant! 10/10! the service was really nice and they made sure I had everything I needed. The daddy sauce is a MUST in your order. It was so tasty, but the first time I came with friends we ordered shrimp head on but they gave us shrimp head off It charged extra but we didn't mind as the food is DELICIOUS! It is a perfect mix of seafood and flavor. The restaurant was a little cold but it fit the vibe of seafood which I appreciate. Overall 10/10

The BEST seafood boil place. Best sauce ever (daddy sauce-- mix of garlic butter and cajun) and the shrimps are larger compared to other places. The staff were also kind and accommodating. You need to try this place out!!

The owner , such a great lady

Unfortunately, the food did not come out the way I expected. The seafood had no sauce at all. I also wasn't given lemon, salt, pepper, parchment paper, or even napkins. Everything felt incomplete and poorly prepared. My green mussels were completely dry and overcooked!! The shrimp was overcooked as well and very salty. I ordered the Canyon Bomb flavor, which is usually what I get, but this time everything was overwhelmingly salty and honestly not enjoyable. The fact that the seafood had very little sauce was disappointing! I'm not usually the type to write reviews, but I felt the need to share my honest experience so the restaurant can improve. Sadly, based on this visit, I don't see myself coming back. Nor ordering online again through UBER EATS

Unlike some places where I leave feeling bloated, I don't get that way here. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, which is harder to find than you'd think. A lot of seafood places tend to overcook shrimp, making it rubbery or soggy, but Fire Crab absolutely nailed it. And the garlic fries? Insane. They definitely do not hold back on the garlic, which I loved. The garlic noodles were also incredibly buttery, flavorful, and downright addictive. What really made our experience stand out was the service. We came with a large group, and the owner was so sweet, attentive, and welcoming throughout our meal. It's clear they genuinely care about their customers and making sure everyone has a great experience. Great food, amazing service, and consistently delicious flavors. A decent, fire 'boiling crab' type spot in the Garden Grove area when you're craving seafood boil…read moreor anything "fire-tastic." The seafood tasted really fresh overall, and the sauce was flavorful, and packed with seasoning. It was a little on the thin side since I like it thick and it couldve used a lot more garlic. We got crawfish, shrimp, and oysters. The crawfish were decently sized -- a few bigger pieces mixed in, but mostly medium-sized. Still, they tasted fresh and the flavor was really good The Kumomato oysters were just okay. I've definitely had fresher, colder oysters elsewhere, but honestly, I don't come to a shrimp and crawfish boil spot expecting right outta the water oyster bar quality. Overall, Fire Crab hits the craving well. Solid 4 stars all around! Service had great attitide!

One of the biggest things for me is the space. When you're playing pool, you actually have room to move around unlike a lot of bars where you feel cramped. I also like that they have full size pool tables. Since I'm a bit taller, it just makes the whole experience of playing pool that much better. There's regular events and even a pool league on Tuesday nights, so there's always something going on. If you are not familiar with Garden Grove, this place is definitely a hidden gem. The food is top notch, but honestly the ambiance is what sets it apart from your average billiards bar. It is extremely clean, which is important to me, and there's plenty of space between you and other people whether you are playing pool or sitting down to eat. It really does feel like a playground for adults in the best way. I also like that it is family friendly. There's large tables that are perfect for crab boils and similar meals where they lay down wax paper and everyone can sit together and enjoy. When I was there, there was a group of kids celebrating a birthday, and at the same time there were adults playing pool and hanging out. The place is so big that it almost feels like there's separate areas for kids and adults, but it is all in one space and you do not even notice each other. That's how spacious it is. I have been here on Sunday afternoons, Tuesday evenings, and Friday nights, and it is always busy with great energy. The music selection is great too. And this next part is insane to me since I'm a huge fan of famous pool players. The legendary GOAT Efren Reyes is going to be there on April 26th playing pool and interacting with fans. I saw the flyer on the wall and immediately grabbed VIP tickets. I'll be lucky enough to say hi to him up close from the VIP section and watch him work his magic in person, which is just unreal to me. Definitely check out the Wharf, you won't regret it.

The restaurant was relatively empty when we went so we were seated immediately. There was only one man running around taking everyone order, but he was nice and attentive. The restaurant is spacious, there are also many pool tables on another half of the restaurant and bar seating. Now, the real deal is food. I have pretty high standard for seafood boil, and this did not meet that standard at all. However, it's all up to preference. Cajun seafood boil (we got crawfish): very bland. You can barely taste the Cajun. I like the punch of the savoriness of Cajun but this has barely any coating on the crawfish. It's not juicy, it's not marinated. The crawfish meat is also pretty bad, tasted close to spoil for some. I understand it's not seafood season, but I've been to other seafood places that can maintain their seafood quality even during off season, this is just not one of the places. Crawfish Mac n cheese: very cheesy, duh. But that's really it to it, not much flavor profile. Just cheese, Mac, and crawfish. And back with the dead dry crawfish that made it off putting. The Mac n cheese itself is pretty decent though, but don't expect a flavor explosion when eating it. Think of it like a dish for kids. Sweet potato fries: jyst my go to sides with my crawfish. It tasted like any sweet potato fries, yay!

I've gone to so many Boiling Crab locations since I was a kid, but this is my favorite of all time…read morefor a number of different reasons. First and foremost, the tables are reasonably spaced out and there's room to walk between them in the restaurant. If I get stuck behind chairs on my way to restroom and my hands are sticky for longer than they need to be, I'm going to end up screaming because that's a sensory nightmare, LMAO. I don't have that issue here because it ain't cramped andddd they even have an accessible ramp for our disabled folks. +10000 points for accessibility!!!!! Secondly, the restaurant plays pretty solid music (like 90s r&b, hehe) and the overall volume is respectable -- not overstimulatingly loud with yelling or speakers blaring like other spots. My friend and I were watching the FIFA World Cup final match between Spain and Argentina here, and were pleased that they had it streaming on every TV. It was different watching the game with music playing over it instead, but I'm not complaining. Okay now for the actual food portion of the review: a lot of people talk about how seafood boils and Boiling Crab's sauce specifically makes their stomach hurt. I'm pleased to announce that this is the only Boiling Crab that doesn't have me fighting for my life after dining here. The flavor is exquisite and seafood portions are just right. Idk what their chef is doing differently at this location, but I sure hope that they never stop doing it. During today's visit, we shared (1) lb shrimp and (1) lb snow crab in whole shabang sauce and mild spice level with sausage, potatoes, and corn. My friend also ordered gumbo and rice (because you gotta have rice). During past visits, I've gotten live crawfish and their crab fries. Love and recommend both! Lastly, the service is always amazing. Memorable servers in the past include David Duong and today's server was Jess. Both went above and beyond to make sure my dining experience was perfect, so I hope they get their roses for their hard work.
