When we got the restaurant I was surprised it was so small. They have a black board on the side of the restaurant advertising something free if you leave a 5 star review which made me apprehensive. I think this place is really good, but the pricing doesn't match the quality. It is too pricey here. Boiling Crab is cheaper and better so it just doesn't make sense for this place to be more expensive. It's definitely not bad, but if I'm craving a seafood boil, I would just go to Boiling Crab since it's cheaper. I might give it another try and update my review after. Came in here with some friends randomly for lunch. Was pleasantly greeted by the general manager (lady with glasses) and she helped us through the menu. The seafood was amazing! BEWARE!!!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!!! I would give less than a star if I had the option! This place is the WORST!!!!!! Our order was taken by a very nice girl that was new but she got our order wrong (she gets a pass since she was new) and we nicely asked to have it corrected, which it was but then Chin (person in charge) stepped in and starting talking to us and sat down at our table while we're having a conversation and trying to eat. We thought it was weird but we talked to her and she eventually left and then returned a few minutes later with a credit card machine asking for payment as I'm eating my crab with gloves on! Who does that??? Chin is very aggressive and likes to argue! All we wanted was for her to leave us alone while we were eating but we explained our dissatisfaction and she said "it's not like we spit in your food". Who says that?? The food wasn't even good at all but we of course paid for the food and tried to leave but Chin still wouldn't leave it alone and keep aggravating and arguing with us! Again, she's extremely aggressive, and rude! There was a young couple that walked in the restaurant and heard how we were being treated, turned around and walked out! Great establishment. The Loaded Bayou fries stole the show, 10/10. Delicious sauce, massive sausages, great portions. The shrimps were advertised by one of the workers as "fat and juicy" and they were indeed fat, juicy, and wet! It's a cute "small" restaurant from the outside, but it's a bit larger when you walk in. Just finished a day at Disneyland and found The Boil Daddy was about 8 mins away. Wanted to have a sit down meal and saw the great ratings this place had. Well I was wrong. First things first, once you enter the restaurant, there is a huge sign on the right stating "If you put five stars on google or yelp, you can receive a free sweet tea." Welp that must be where all the five stars are from because my experience was subpar. There were possibly three servers? I couldn't even tell because there was no coordination amongst any of the staff. So realistically there was only one server. Don't even know the servers name because she didn't introduce herself but she was a girl with glasses. I am not sure if this is her first serving job but there was no urgency or efficiency. When our order was taken, it seemed like our server didn't fully know the menu. My boyfriend asked for her to repeat the meal back twice and it was wrong twice. We ordered krabby patties and some seafood boils a la carte. Krabby patties were given to us first and no drinks were given yet. Then the seafood boils came out and still no drinks. Therefore we needed to ask for our drinks again. Once water was given, it was in a legit dixie sized cup. But if you get lemonade, its in a 40oz cup. Make it make sense. Krabby patties were a 3/5, had good tartar sauce. Seafood boils don't come in a bag. Shrimps are big which is nice. I got the daddy sauce mild which had good flavoring. However when looking at the a la carte order, they gave us potatoes instead of eggs which was just adding more to my frustration. Asked the server about the eggs and when we received them, stone COLD in the yolk. I get it, you don't boil eggs each time its ordered but at least make the effort of making it warm for the customers. When rice was given, no utensils were provided. They also offered gloves after we started eating. I get that maintaining a restaurant may be difficult however, for seafood boil restaurants, I uphold a higher standard due to higher pricing of food. I truly hope that the owner reads this review and learns from it. You guys have potential, just fine tune the basics. read more

Amazing service , clean ambiance, friendly customer service start to finish with a personal touch, the shrimp omg idk who their new distributor is but the best shrimp I've ever had , massive shrimp, juicy, they peel so easily, the flavor makes me feel like I've been eating crap shrimp all my life. Our kids absolutely devoured the noodles & loaded fries. You get plenty of food too. Since it's all so tasty, that's a major plus. There's enough to share & bring home! Short review: We ordered the Deck Cadet. Best seafood boil I've EVER had. Crab cakes were super crispy (not burnt, one bit) GET THE DADDY SAUCE/SEASONING ON EVERYTHING! Thank me later. Fresh squeezed lemonade was very very tasty and refreshing! Staff were very pleasant and helpful! Long and well deserved review: First off, we were visiting from Arizona so we kind of expected pretty much any seafood to be better than ours. However, we checked some reviews of other places around us and weren't as good or were too far for our liking (over an hour drive). We settled on Boil Daddy because it was close and the pictures/reviews were calling to us. When you first walk in, you may be shocked at how small the place is. There's maybe 10-12 tables in there and was packed the entire time we were there (8:30ish). Parking could also be a hassle. Luckily, we found a spot when we arrived but watched multiple people sit in their cars to wait for a spot in this shared plaza. So be prepared to park elsewhere. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we walked in. We were asked if a 20-30 minute wait was okay and we gladly and excitedly said yes JUST from the smell of this establishment. We were also offered to be put on a call list. Fast forward to us being seated, the atmosphere was perfect for this shop. I wouldn't say "minimalist" but very easygoing and didn't make your eyes hurt. I for the life of me can't remember any names but, the staff was wonderful! Despite how busy they were, they stayed on top of it and didn't let the traffic bother them. Straight BOSS. We had ordered the crabcakes and it came with fries, (also had the Daddy seasoning on it) which is just Cajun and Garlic. The food came out, immediately and you can tell. We couldn't touch anything for a few minutes because it was so hot. The creaminess of the grab with the crunchy/crispy outer shell will make you have an orgasm. It came with a few dipping sauces of our choice, that also tasted really good and fresh. You can customize your own boil and get whatever items you want. We ended up getting a side of the garlic noodles with the Deck Cadet boil ($93 boil). Which came with almost if not, everything that we wanted anyway. +2 free drinks. Which would've been $12 extra just for the drinks if you made your own boil. When we received our order, we were frozen with excitement. Just in absolute awe. The smells that came wafting from this food are indescribable. Everything was cooked too perfection. Nothing was too tough or chewy. It was just the right texture for seafood. The best part about it is that the chef cuts all of the shells so you won't have to worry about tools. The meat was basically "fall off the bone" where the meat will just fall off the shell once cracked open a little more. I rarely write reviews, but this place definitely deserved a good one, and if there are any bad reviews on here, I solely would say that those people are spoiled/expect way too much. I would advise them to try it another time because I will be talking about this experience for the rest of my life. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality. I don't know what the prices are around in the area. But comparatively to Arizona and the MANY other seafood boil restaurants that we've been to, this is perfect. Wonderful experience, Boil Daddy!
