This location is quite busy. It's best to go early if you don't want to wait. My favorites are the house special, beef, seafood, and lamb. Each pot comes with a choice of bowl of rice or noodle. Lunch is best option since they provide a green tea or winter melon drink. They also come by occasionally to refill your soup if needed. The sauces on the table are really delicious and add more flavor to the food. Plenty of parking upfront and street parking.
We came here to redeem my man's birthday dinner and he got a beef pot and jasmine green milk tea on the house! I also got the beef hot soup and it really hit the spot. My favorite is the scallion gravy rice with BP's signature soybean sauce. It has amazing flavor and the perfect pairing. for the hot soup. We also got the lemonade basil seed drink at the end which use to be jellies :( I miss when there was the lemon jellies they were delish.
We've been coming to BP in Arcadia for about 15 years now, and it's still our go-to anniversary + Valentine's spot :) The hot pot is just comfort in a bowl - the soup always hits the spot, every single time. Love that they have a wide variety of soup bases and ingredients, so we never get bored, and with the cool AC blasting year-round we can do hot pot even in the middle of summer without melting lol. They do have their moments where something's off or an order's not quite right, but the staff always steps in and fixes it fast, no drama. James, the manager, is honestly a gem - he's been here as long as I can remember, always greeting people with this huge smile and super enthusiastic welcome that makes you feel like family. This place has that "we'll take care of you" vibe that keeps us coming back.
I heard about how Boiling Point has a free hotpot for your birthday so I came here to give it a try. I did call beforehand to make sure that this location does this promotion though. It was almost full inside when I came on a Monday afternoon but luckily we still got seats without a wait. I ordered their beef hotpot and since it was a lunch special time, it came with a free drink- and I got the iced green tea. The food came out in around 10 minutes or so and is served on a small hot with a fire beneath to keep the broth hot. The hotpot comes with quite a variety of ingredients like meatballs, fishball, veggies, tofu, and corn. They even provide an extra bag of vermicelli to add if you want extra. However, the pot is actually pretty shallow and there isn't that much inside although there is a variety. So it wasn't super filling if you have a big appetite or are really hungry. The beef quality is not bad though and I enjoyed the broth. I think its a good hotpot option if you don't want to eat too much and like to have a variety of ingredients but not too much. The birthday treat was worth it though.
The Boiling Point app no longer shows their waiting list, so you are no longer able to strategically pick a less crowded location or anticipate how long your approximate wait would be. When my boyfriend and I arrived to the Boiling Point - Arcadia, the tablet where you checked into prior, was covered by a QR code, that forces you to allow your location because you can only join when you are there. There is no indication of how many groups are in front of you, or how long the approximate wait is... and no staff in sight for me to inquire with... Visually it looked like 3 groups of 2 and 1 group of 6 before us, which wouldn't be bad. But it turns out a bunch of people were waiting in their cars. The wait was 50 minutes!! Had I known so many people were in front of us, I would have gone elsewhere. My boyfriend ordered his usual #4 Beef ($20.35/dinner) and I ordered my usual #6 Milk Cream Curry ($20.26/dinner). The prices continue to increase but the ingredients are reduced and swapped with inferior alternatives. When the weather is cold, my body yearns for hot pot to nourish myself but waiting for nearly an hour in the cold was counter productive to my health. I also want to point out that they didn't allow anyone to wait inside. We don't plan on coming back to this location since it's especially small and crowded... and I am definitely reluctant to go to other locations as their quality declines and I can't even glance to see how long the waitlist might be.
Boiling Point is a popular Taiwanese hot pot restaurant originated in Taiwan and was brought to the U.S. by owner Rick Chou, opening the first location in Hacienda Heights, CA in 2004. Unlike traditional communal hot pot, each diner receives their own small wok served over an individual burner to keep the soup bubbling throughout the meal. The restaurant offers roughly 10 distinct soup base, including popular choices like Beef, Lamb, Seafood Tofu, Milk Cream Curry, and polarizing House Special (which features fermented "stinky" tofu). Our favorites are the House Special and Spicy Beef. The broths were flavorful and paired well with their garlic soy sauce and spicy bean paste. The restaurant offers lunch specials which include a complimentary ice green or black tea. The interior of the restaurant is contemporary, trendy, and casual, though the space is relatively small compared to other Boiling Point branches. Service is limited, it's difficult to flagging down servers for our needs especially during peak times. Parking is primarily limited to street parking which can be difficult to find during peak hours.
The food was great always a 10/10. staff in Arcadia was very unfriendly, they don't welcome anything near closing.x Gardena location staff was amazing even before closing. very friendly polite. arcadia location we didn't feel that. restaurant was clean. ambiance not great. but we were very desperate for it's the only BP location opened until 9:30pm on a weekday! so thank you!
Love the food here, especially during lunch time. They have a lunch special, which includes a free drink (green tea or black tea), and the price is slightly lower than dinner. My favorite is either the seafood pot or the rose milky.
I've done a lot of takeout from this location, but this time we decided to dine in. It's one of the smaller Boiling Point locations, so lines can get pretty long depending on the time of day. We signed in through the app, and fortunately, since we were a party of two, we only had to wait about 10 minutes. Overall, the experience was great. The service was fast, and our food came out in under 10 minutes after ordering. The staff was really friendly, and everything tasted delicious. I actually like this location more than a few of the other BP spots. Love that they have drinks now! Parking - It's downtown Arcadia, so it's just street parking wherever you can find a spot.
I love BP! To get on the waitlist, you need to turn on location services for your internet browser. (It's some website... not through yelp) Once seated, my friend and I were able to look at the menu via the QR code. I got the rose milky and really liked it!! It's a nice subtle milky flavor and didn't have any rose taste. lol! We also got free drinks w our lunch. I got the green tea but didn't realize it was sweetened. The staff were really nice. There were some trainees so they were all very attentive and came by our table often to refill our broth and waters. Free parking so that's also a plus!
Alright I know you might think I'm crazy but sometimes I crave eating hot food on a super hot day. Who's with me?!? Anywhooo this spot has been here since I was in middle school! I remember the days of getting out early and going to eat hotpot with all my friends with their lunch special hahaha I really do feel like this spot is an 626 staple. You choose from a small, but mighty, menu of different broth flavors + toppings. It's a pretty speedy process as they bring the pot to you with all the goodies cooked. Then lighting that chafing fuel so the food is hot for as long as you want! The beef hot pot is a classic and always my favorite. Beware of going above mild for spice as it gets pretty fiery in my opinion. I do feel the consistency hasn't changed one bit. Although I do miss the days of the enoki mushroom but I'll live....maybe Sometimes parking can be a bit tough when there's a lot of families during prime dinner hour. However not impossible to snag a spot on the adjacent streets. Service is always quick and attentive and they also brought back the little cups of juice instead of the packets (The world is healing) So if you want a soup based lunch/dinner that's quick and satisfying, Boiling Point is your guy!! Final verdict: Slurp-tacular ;)
This was my first time experiencing hot pot and it was SENSATIONAL! I already knew going in that this would be a fantastic experience solely based on the fact that my friend chose it as a lunch spot for us. ALWAYS trust your foodie friends; they know the way ;) There's 2 hour parking right outside the restaurant and if you can't find a spot there, there's plenty of street parking available. The dining room was spacious and was also PACKED with folks who were out for lunch. While the menu was compact, there was still plenty of variety! I was debating between the Taiwanese Special and the beef. I ultimately went with the latter, since the spice level for the Taiwanese Special as Flaming Spicy. I'd like to ease into that spicy experience eventually, just not today! Along with the beef hot soup (with medium spice), I ordered the winter melon juice - which was DIVINE! It was just sweet enough, supremely flavorful, and refereshing. Within a handful of minutes, our hot soup/stoves were delivered to us and we dove right in! The flavor of the broth as well as the variety of accoutrements were absolutely delicious! The fish cakes, cabbage, and tempura were my favorite of the bunch. I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back to Boiling Point to try more menu options, the next time I'm craving something soupy. This is also a great choice if you're wanting to go to hot pot but don't have a large enough group for the traditional pot-in-table setting. 10/10 recommend!

The restaurant is always busy especially at night so the service is always a little slow. I always have to call servers over by going to the desk. The food feels overpriced after the price increase but you get a lot of food and a large variety too. I've never had a bad experience with their food and it's always consistently good. The broth is always flavorful and the toppings are cooked to perfection. Id recommend coming in during lunch since the lunch special which comes with a free drink is the most worth it. read more

I've been coming here with my friends since I was in middle school, and most recent visit was after I graduated college! The food here is consistently good and delicious, never had a meal I didn't enjoy. I think if you've never been here before, the spice level is something that takes a higher tolerance. Yum! read more

Hits the spot on a cold and rainy night! This Boiling Point is smaller than the San Gabriel location, so be prepared to wait. We came on a Saturday night, and it was very busy even at around 8:30pm when we left. Definitely worth it though! We got the lamb hot soup, mild spice. It comes with a lot of food, and there's a huge variety of ingredients in the soup. I like to mix all 4 sauces provided on the side as a dip for the meat and veggies although it is not entirely necessary since the savory soup is already really flavorful. For the mild spice, it honestly does not taste spicy to me and I am someone who can barely handle hot cheetos. Everything is absolutely delicious, and I am definitely coming back! The service was really great too - very attentive and always offering to add soup or turn off the fire. They give you a little jello thing at the end as a "dessert" and it is the perfect palate cleanser. If you're in SGV definitely come check this place out :) read more
Boiling Point has always been my go-to for hotpot, and we tried the Taiwanese and Stinky Tofu pots this time. Both were good and flavorful... satisfying as always. However, I couldn't help but notice they've switched out some of the items that used to come with the pots, which was a little disappointing. It just doesn't feel quite as good as it used to. That said, the broth was still rich, and the ingredients they did include were fresh and tasty. While it's not the same experience I remember, it's still a solid spot for hotpot cravings. Got here around 2pm for lunch on Thursday (05/25/23). There is parking on ground level and underground. There were quite a few customers so we had to wait 15 minutes. Service here is attentive and quick. On the table, there are garlic and spicy dipping sauces. After our meal, we received our bill with a dragon fruit jelly as dessert (free). Process: - Check in on the machine to get on the waitlist. Will receive a text when the table is ready. - Order at the register - Pick soup base and either rice or noodle for the soup (lunch comes with a free drink. either green tea or black tea) - Head upstairs to be seated Food: - Milk Cream Curry (6.5/10) - Was hoping for it to be more creamy but was still good. - Lamb (8/10) - My friend also enjoyed his lamb but it was nothing special. read more
Double the meat now? Say less! I come here and always order the lamb (spice level: flamin) with vermicelli. I know there was a price increase, but they also doubled the meat which I think is a fair trade. The service is quick, and the interior is always clean. Sometimes, there is a long wait so you have to be smart about what time you go. read more
Haven't been to this location in at least 4 years. Since the last time I've been, they remodeled the inside and changed the table layout. The space is a bit smaller than the Rowland Heights location. The parking can be tough especially if it's busy at the time you go. The service isn't bad, as the night I went, the servers came around a couple times asking if we wanted water or soup refills. I feel like you can't really go wrong with the pot. If you're craving personal hotpot, Boiling Point is a good place to eat at. They always give a lot of cabbage as and the pot is filled to the top. I didn't notice much of a difference in food quality from this location to the Rowland location. Overall not bad, just a quick place to eat once seated as the wait can be awhile depending on your party size. read more

Boiling Point is the typical spot I choose when craving hot soup. I used to go to the San Gabriel location but I feel like since they have moved, the SG location is too small and the quality of the food has suffered. I think Arcadia is the better location in the area as the food is better tasting and portions are bigger here. The Beef Hot Pot is my favorite! Service (5/5): The service here is usually pretty good. The wait staff are friendly and are quick to attend to customers. I appreciate that even when it's a full house, the food comes out quickly and the servers are attentive. They do a good job refilling broth and turning off the fire whenever I need it. Ambiance (3/5): It's small in the restaurant and there's not that many tables. It's usually pretty loud inside and has casual vibes. Unfortunately, there's no space to wait inside and you have to stand outside when waiting for a table. Food (4/5): Can't go wrong with any of the Hot Soups - my go-to is Beef. The sauces they offer elevate the food to the next level. I love the garlic bean paste and the garlic soy sauce (mixing these 2 together is my favorite way to combine the sauces). - Beef Hot Soup - Mild ($20.15): My favorite! The soup has great beefy flavor and the spiciness adds some depth to the broth. They now give a generous amount of beef in these soups after they raised the price in the beginning of 2024. You can also get refills of rice for no additional charge. - House Special Hot Soup - Mild ($19.88): It was ok. The soup lacked flavor and while the toppings were a lot, I felt that the pork tastes worse than beef. Also, sometimes the spice levels are inconsistent as this mild wasn't spicy at all and occasionally mild tastes like medium. - Spicy Fermented Tofu ($6.41): I'm not the biggest fan. Tastes kind of artificial for some reason? It is actually spicy and has a strong kick to it. - Honey Milk Green Tea ($6.25): When I'm craving a drink from here, this is my typical choice. Tastes good and pairs well with hot soup! It is pricy for just some milk tea though. - Amber Oolong Milk Tea ($5.95): This is a new drink that came out recently. I think the flavors of the Amber Oolong tea are more dynamic than the Honey Milk Green Tea. It has a very slight toasty spice flavor that weirdly goes well with the milk tea. I would drink this again when I'm bored of the green tea. Price (3/5): Since the price increases, I feel that the value of the soup has declined. They claim that it's double meat from before but honestly, it seems like it's 1.5x rather than 2x. It used to be a better deal. Although the price has increased a good amount, the consistency of the soups still remain. I would still come by occasionally when craving hot soup, but definitely not as much as before. read more
Whenever I go here with my fam, the food always hits the spot. The only thing that I have to warn y'all is that, pick the time you go here wisely- the place isn't the biggest place and parking can get packed because there are other stores and food places around the block. Ordered to-go for the first time through Door Dash and this satisfied all the cravings I have. I was hesitant to order at first... The whole pot came in the same container with the rice on the side, and surprisingly, the beef in the soup is not too cooked. The winter melon juice is good as usual. read more

Was kind of disappointed this last time I came by. So me and my group came by on a Saturday, so of course it was going to be busy. We signed in at 8:25PM and got seated around 9:25PM. It was apparent that our utensils were dirty and the sauces were pretty messy as well. Flagging down a server took quite some time, but we finally managed to get one's attention. We told her we were ready to order, so she took out her tablet. Unfortunately I mentioned the utensils thing, and she ended up leaving to get one, dropping it off, and then leaving to another table to take their order, even though we were also ready to take our order too. We were a little confused and stunned because she was in the middle of doing it and just left us like that. Anyways, eventually we got our order down. It took a long time for our food to come out and we were already getting tired of waiting. Finally got our food, but previously we asked for no green onions and cilantro, but kitchen made a mistake so we had to send it back. It was probably a rough day for them as well because the restroom was closed down. In the mean time, I did ask for more soup. They forgot and didn't show up. Had to ask again for soup. I asked the guy for my check, and we asked for water. It was funny since he had the water jug in his hand and then he said okay and walked away. That's how you know it was hectic. He didn't come back and we had to ask again. The servers were definitely nice, but it was just overall chaotic. Now I love Boiling Point. In fact, it's usually one of my top three's to go to when I'm looking for dinner or lunch with friends. The Arcadia location is usually my favorite because of how accommodating they are, but this time was just too chaotic and mismanaged. read more

Wonderful packaging for delivery. Our food was extremely hot and everything was packaged beautifully. The Hokkaido milk tea was good, but the boba was a bit way too chewy. Green tea was refreshing. We also order two separate hot pots. Everything is pre-cooked for you, so nice and ready to eat. Noodles come on the side and they package all the sauces for you, which was great! They also provide a little lemon jelly with chia seeds as dessert. Of the flavors here, I enjoyed the seafood hot pot more because of the clear broth. Lamb is my second favorite. Know that if you order mild spicy, it is still quite spicy. I wish they provided another package of broth because I felt once the noodle was in, there wasn't enough soup. read more

This has been my go to place for awhile. I love boiling point and all the delicious flavors each pot has. My favorite has to be beef. The portions are great and perfect for one person. They have lunch hours which is from 11-3 where they give you a free drink, either green or black tea. You can also upgrade to a larger drink for a fifty cent difference I believe. The lines are long during night time and colder days, but it's super worth it. The service is great though, once ordered, food will arrive very quickly and servers are fast and efficient. Shoutout to Issac, Kenneth, Amy, Ella, Kiki, and Flora. They have been great to me and my family everytime we eat here. I'm pretty much a regular coming weekly. Don't skip this place! They also have a tasty appetizer. Garlic pork belly is delicious and portion again is great. Again great place to eat and fill you up for the hot pot lovers! read more

Haven't gone to boiling point in years so it was a pleasant coming back. They had a really good deal where if you order one hot pot you'd get a free medium drink excluding hot drinks. They also double up on the meat and unlimited free rice. That's such a good deal!! I even saw some people ordering just 1 hot pot and sharing it with the table and you can order more rice for others. Also, there was no wait but I came on a Thursday night. Still very crowded so expect a wait during rush hour. read more

1/6/2024 Boiling Point aren't kidding about double the meat. Me and my wife sharing this Taiwanese hotpot with AYCE rice. We barely can finish the meats! Soup has a lot of flavor, and the dipping sauce is out of this world! I spilled the sauce by accident. The girl servers came quickly and clean it up for me. We even got a free medium size drink. Where else can u get ur hotpot for only $25 that feeds 2? Thank you BP! read more

Solid place for Taiwanese hot pot. I have ordered the Korean Bean Paste which comes with Kimchi, rice cake, pork belly, and crown daisy among other ingredients. I also love the House Special with my favorite toppings in this pot being tofu, intestine, beef, taro. For carbs you can choose between vermicelli and rice. I opted for rice and added $1 for the gravy rice - the rice is coated with a savory meat sauce and topped with crispy fried onion and green onions. Everything is delicious and the pot is full of flavor. You can ask to have the broth refilled as much as you like. The sauces here are so tasty - probably the best thing about dining at Boiling Point in my opinion. I literally dip everything in them. They have a bean sauce, garlic sauce, and chili oil and I love mixing a combination of them. Service was great and came by often to refill our soup and waters. Love that they give a little dessert of Jelly at the end of the meal. Restaurant is on the smaller end so be prepared to wait, but the interior is modern and very clean. read more

This placed used to be 4 stars to me due to the the terrible servers and not being friendly. But for the past couple years it's been excellent and they are very attentive with your needs. The food is very consistent. Come during the lunch special to save some money and get a free drink. Parking isn't too bad since you can always park on the side streets if the front is full. The inside and seating is a tad tight but cozy. Overall how can you not love hotpot and the sauces they provide is amazing. read more

Absolute one of my favorite spots located in Downtown Arcadia! I get their beef hot pot and combine the garlic soy sauce with I forgot that other nonspicy one....it iis like a flavor explosion in your mouth!!! It's so tender and juicy, and when paired with the extra tofu skin (extra), it takes the dish to a whole new level of deliciousness. And guess what? If you're craving more broth, they're more than happy to give you extra upon request! The atmosphere at Boiling Point is simple, yet clean, creating a cozy and inviting ambiance - great for groups, family, and even date night. The modern decor adds a touch of style to the whole experience. And let's not forget about the staff! They're incredibly friendly and always go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. They saw me use so many napkins they came back with more without me asking. Now, let's talk about the price point. It's totally affordable, which is such a pleasant surprise considering the top-notch quality of the food. We came for lunch so it was about $15-16 and it came with either green or black tea for FREE! In the end, they gave us this dessert jelly packet that I save for my little one. All in all, Boiling Point in Arcadia is a must-visit spot for hot pot lovers like us and even perfect for my keto diet. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! read more

Today was the perfect hot pot weather, and Boiling Point is my go-to hot pot spot! I ordered the No.3 Korean Bean Paste with rice and a side of the garlic pork belly, and my boyfriend ordered the beef option. As usual, Boiling Point ceases never to disappoint! The spicy, flavorful broth is warming, and the variety of toppings is delicious. I love the fish fillet, pork belly, and instant noodles the most. I also love the selection of garlic sauces they have! The sauce combinations are endless and pair wonderfully with my toppings and rice. The side of garlic pork belly was a giant portion too! It was delectable. My boyfriend also loved his dish! Shoutout to our waiter Andy for the impeccable customer service! Andy was super attentive to our table--by offering lots of water refills, more soup, and even quickly getting my boyfriend a new pair of chopsticks because he dropped his! He held a positive attitude when taking our orders and answered all of our questions about the menu too. What a great guy! read more
I can't express how much I love this place! I got my friend addicted to it too now. I usually get #4 which is beef. It's sooooo good & one of my favorites. I recently had their new one which is #9 miso. Now whenever I go it's a tough decision. They're both so delicious. I hear a lot of ppl asking for their fire to be turned off, but I always have to ask for it to be lit again if it goes off and I'm still eating. As long as I'm eating that fire needs to be on! Lol I've had #7, Mushroom Veggie, and #6 milk cream curry. They are actually pretty good too. I want to try #3, Korean bean paste, but I always stick to my usual. I'll give y'all an update if I do. Boiling Point is a solid place for Taiwanese hot pot. I ordered the milky cream curry hot pot which comes with Napa, sliced pork, enoki mushroom, imitation crab stick, fish ball, fried tofu, corn, tempura, potato, Chinese string beans, sea salt cream, and vermicelli. All the ingredients inside the hot pot were delicious and the broth was rich in flavor. There was an option of spice level: none to flaming spicy. They have bean paste sauce and garlic sauce as dipping sauces to the protein, vegetables, and tofu. I overly indulged with the bean paste sauce. It compliments the dish so well. Nothing can beat the Boiling Point bean paste sauce. At the end of the meal, staff will provide a light, cold dessert of a jelly package with basil seed. read more

came here for dinner around 10pm and ordered my usual: flaming beef pot with rice. they gave a super generous portion of meat and vegetables, but the dish wasn't as spicy as i ordered :( i usually order flaming every time i come here so i know what to expect, but this time it was a medium at most. a lil disappointing but yummy nonetheless. read more

Happy with their food and services. I saw many reviews mentioned about their service needs improve, however, I have no issue at all. Maybe they did improved or maybe because I went early like 5:30 for dinner so less busy, there's people waiting outside when we finished. After many many times order "house special" I finally tried something different this time. I ordered "Curry cream" and it's so good. Not sure about other people but I like heavy taste and it's just fine for me. read more

This hot pot place never disappoints. Their beef hot pot is my go-to and the broth has a very unique taste that I dont think I've tasted in any other restaurants in the area. Their garlic soy sauce is also out of this world! This restaurant definitely has its own unique taste compared to other hot pot places. You can choose between rice or vermicelli and I would always get rice bc they dont give much of the vermicelli. Their lunch is also a tad cheaper than dinner so it's best to come during lunch time for their lunch prices! They also give a free black or green tea if you come during lunch before 3pm! This location is a bit smaller than their other locations (except Monterey Park) but it's also located in a less busy street so dont need to worry about waiting long to dine in. 10/10 would recommend this place! read more
