I've been waiting forever for this BP location to open, but was a little disappointed once it finally did. Like all the other BP locations, in order to get on the waitlist, you must check in in-person via iPad and they will text you when your table is ready. For a party of two on a Saturday night at 8:15pm, we waited over an hour before we received a text stating our table is ready. Yes, they were very busy and there was a large number of parties (2-4 persons) ahead of us. Once seated around 9:30pm, the server notified us that they were sold out of #4 beef and #7 mushroom veggie. After waiting for some time , we had to flag down a different server to take our orders. Had we not, I believe we would have been waiting longer. Our order came out on a robotic cat after twenty minutes, but we were not allowed to remove it ourselves; a server came and did it. We were not told that they were having a special promotion (double meats and AYCE rice) so the portions were BIG! Overall, as a new business with many new staff members, it is understandable to have hiccups and longer waits. Visited on a Thursday evening. I was happy that there was no wait and I was seated immediately upon arrival. It is very spacious and big inside however the tables are still squished next to each other (like every other boiling point location). I was able to order quickly I got the Taiwanese spicy with rice and spinach wok noodles and tried the new drink pink dragon drink. The pink dragon comes in a bottle and it is very small for its price but the drink was good you could taste the tea but it wasn't too strong and the hint of lychee and dragon fruit flavor it was refreshing. The Taiwanese spicy hot soup took a while to come out but it was delicious however the rice was under cooked and a bit hard which was disappointing. The sauce tray was stocked and my favorite part of the meal as always. I appreciated the workers the came around often asking if I wanted more broth for my soup. They have a set menu of curated pots, in this way, you get to try certain ingredients that belong together and complement the eating experience of hot pot (complete with a good portion of protein and vegetables). For those who struggle with choice and variety, it's already been made for you. They are very generous with the portions (plus refillable broth) so one pot is likely enough to feed two people. Additionally, their condiments are borderline addicting and this is from someone who does not regularly eat bean paste and chili oil. They do not shy away from bold and punchy flavors which is how you feel like you're tasting something new, authentic, which happens to be delicious. The ingredients always appear fresh and quality, which is ideal for dishes that require thinly sliced meat. The menu is descriptive, accounts for spice tolerance (they do take spice very seriously so it's easy to make your hot pot too spicy to finish), and dietary restrictions. This place is delicious with strong flavors. I ordered the miso soup pot which was absolutely delicious. One of my favorite sauces, the "Garlic Bean Paste" is sweet and tangy. It's in the perfect consistency to dip my meat in. As for my drink, I got a matcha latte with brown sugar. The latte had the perfect sweetness and it has a slightly strong matcha taste. The service here was good. The workers came by a few times to check in with me and refill my pot with broth. Also, the place is very spacious, with a little to no wait time. Dined in (just two of us) around 2pm. When we entered it was pretty full but around the time a server came to get our order everyone had almost cleared out. It took a good amount of time for anyone to come and get our order but we didn't mind. They sat us next to a rag washing bucket and the smell was absolutely horrible but again, we were ready to eat so we didn't mind. We ordered two Korean bean paste soups with NO crown daisy. We saw two hotpots coming our way on a robot with crown daisy on it and a girl server proceeds to grab it and go back into the kitchen before it reaches us. She just took the crown daisy off and continued to serve us the same pot. We had no issues but if we had been allergic this would have been a very dangerous situation. It just irked us more because our server even forgot to light our pots. We've been dining at boiling point religiously for almost two years now and not a ONCE has a server forgot to light our pot or serve us water. I had to stand up and get a servers attention just to light our pots. The girl who came over seemed to not want to work either. When we were done I specifically asked for the check AND a togo box. The girl server with glasses, again, completely ignored my request for a togo box and just threw the check on our table. We waited with the payment ready on our table so we could ask for a togo box when the server came over and again, nobody came. We walked up eventually and asked for a togo box which the girl did NOT look happy about. Will not be returning to this location. However, the refill soup broth was different from the usual milky bone broth. It had no depth to it, and had a considerable amount of MSG and a processed taste. The service was great! The staff were pretty friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was likely and modern! Some quick notes to consider, this branch does not have the lunch free tea special that other branches do. They also advertise an AYCE rice add on, but we were told by a server that we are only allowed two refills. I'm a big fan of boiling point, especially since this location is closer to me; however, my experience with this location was disappointing. 1) The wait was long, understandable because it was a Saturday night; however, guests that were seated after us had their orders taken first. The food did take about 40 mins before arriving. 2) The biggest issue was when I asked for bill, the server collected my card, went to the cashier, and it was returned with a pen and receipt by the cashier herself. After filling out the receipt, I took my card and left. I went next door to JIN Tea, a worker came out and accused me of not paying. I returned inside, reviewed CCTV and it showed the cashier receiving my card and her returning it to me herself with the receipt and a pen. When questioning the cashier, she claim she had no recollection of ever charging the card or giving it back. The situation was frustrating since I was accused of not paying despite handing over payment to the staff members. This situation could've been handled better. read more

My first time at this location and I love how spacious it is but the service is sooo bad. I rarely ever complain when eating out and take into consideration if the location is new or they're super busy, but it was not extremely busy and the servers had time to stand in front of the restaurant "looking" attentive. Our server took our order so quickly, we didnt get the chance to order side orders or even our drinks. He literally took our orders and dashed out of there. We needed our fires turned off and I had to raise my hand several times before i had to start waving at them to come turn it off. Same thing for our check and to go boxes. You had me at Jin tea (for my fellow Armies, 진 would definitely approve of this place too). Wait time was minimal (but we did get there about a half hour after opening & it was a relatively warm day). We got seated probably within 10 mins of checking in (there's the usual BP check-in pad to the right of the door when you enter). Wait staff came over, brought us waters and took our order (you can scan the menu, use the placard at your table). They let us know this location is different from the others (no free BP tea at lunch because they have Jin tea). They have a $2 off promo on large drinks. Which made the drinks about $5.15-$5.95 each (reasonable considering boba prices these days). I got the Butterfly Pea Flower Lemonade (note you can not adjust the sweetness level). The drink wasn't overly sweet though. Really refreshing on an abnormally warm day in the middle of winter (definitely get this). I also got the Cold Brew High Mountain Oolong Tea (this does not come sweetened, so keep that in mind). This was also refreshing (would recommend if you truly love tea like I do-it's just pure tea with nothing else added). I got my usual Taiwanese Spicy Hot Pot, which never disappoints. Bonus is they are still doing the double meat promo (and unlimited rice if you're super hungry). Definitely left full and happy! Everyone was super nice here and attentive! Of all the BP locations I've been too, this one was by far the best! *Side note, I went to HS nearby here, so it was super nostalgic to be in this area 20+ years later. You already know what the pots look like so here's a photo of the drinks the cute Jin bottles are a little misleading in the pictures they look quite large but they are actually just long and thin. In my world that's unsatisfactory even for the aesthetic. Overall though there's two locations the valley view one is far but clean and big and service is ok... any adjustments to your drinks don't bother asking they won't change it lol. My friends got a few drinks they thought were way to milky with no tea flavor and I agreed it was primarily froth - We asked if basically we could have one shot of tea if anything just to been out the taste as this was drink the secret suggested was tea heavy and basically the manager was like No well just change it to a plain tea. My husband and I are big fans of boiling point, so we were really excited to hear that there was one opening close by to us! This location is spacious and clean. The service here was great and very attentive throughout our entire meal. We both ordered the beef hotpot and shared an oriental beauty oolong milk tea (btw $2 off drinks promo with any hotpot purchase). The milk tea had a nice and strong tea flavor, we would give it 3.5/5. Our hotpot tasted delicious as usual. Although BP prices have increased a bit (~$17-20/pot), we do appreciate the double meat portions and ayce rice. Great location for boiling point. I went in first to get seats but had to wait because my fiancé was not there, the host didn't want to seat me. There were plenty of seats for two people. Throughout the night I noticed the host seated party of five without all their party being present, not once but several times. I was going to give a 3 star out of 5 but the workers were very attentive and checked up on us from time to time, for that it is a four stars. My beef hotpot was on point and drink was great. My fiancé ordered the House Special Hotpot, he enjoyed his a lot because of the quail egg, intestine, pork blood, stinky tofu, and pork slices. This Boiling Point did a collaboration with Jin Tea. I remember the right next to Boiling Point in Pasadena is Jin Tea. Smart for this location to do the collaboration together! I ordered the Pink Dragon and it was delicious. This location, by far, has the best service and the most consistency in their soups. It's also kept very clean inside and we don't have to wait very long to get seated (compared to other locations). One of the trainees, Melissa, is an absolute angel. She was very attentive to us and has such a bubbly personality. It felt like we were already friends when she was talking to us. I have been waiting for this location to open for months! Already ordered takeout twice and very happy with the hotpots. The Taiwanese spicy/mala hotpot and the new mutton hotpot are both great! My first order was on a Monday evening and waited about 30 minutes; 2nd order was a weekday noon time and didn't take long at all. The restaurant itself seats a lot more people than the other locations and it's well lit inside with plenty of space. Wait took a little over an hour for a party of two. When we got seated it took around 10 minutes for them to take our orders. I knew ahead of time they would not be as attentive since everyone is a trainee, so I went ahead and caught one of their attention so I could order faster, to get our food faster since it looks like it's going to be a wait. Order took approximately 25 minutes to come out. They ran out of #4 and #7 which was the beef and vegetable hotpot. Food was amazing like typical boiling point.
