This was my first time at this new location in Garden Grove. There is a large parking lot. I came here on a Tuesday at 6 PM, and was seated immediately. There were plenty of tables open. The hostess provided me with water as I was seated. The inside is extremely spacious compared to the OG Garden Grove location. The service was quick and friendly. I ordered the beef hot pot (medium spice). It was good, but not as flavorful or spicy as other locations. I also got the honey fresh milk tea with boba (75% sweetness). The drink was good, but too sweet despite being less sweet. All the drinks come in a large cup. I would recommend this location due to the spaciousness and fast service. read more

Had to check out the new Boiling Point here in West Garden Grove. It's combined with a boba shop, and they serve their drinks with table service! Their other Garden Grove / Westminster location typically has a long wait list and a small dining room, so this larger location is great. We got the Spicy Taiwanese hotpot in a larger (sharable!) size, and an appetizer of spicy tangy beef. I thought the appetizer went so well with the hot pot, since it served as a de-facto "add-on", with a yummy sauce. The hot pot was great and just the way I remembered, with plenty of meat and veggies for two. The broth refills are plentiful, as we were seated near the kitchen, so safe to say we were FULL after. I think the service was a bit rushed at this time though, but I imagine things have improved a bit after my visit. This is a solid hotpot spot that always hits the mark. I usually go for the beef with mild spice, and I love that my hotpot comes with a little bit of everything. Plus, they often have great deals, which is a nice bonus. The service is decent. They take your order quickly, and the food arrives fast. I felt that for other things I usually have to flag them down. I've always been able to get in and out fairly quickly, although I typically visit during off-peak hours. So happy that the West side of Garden Grove finally has a Taiwanese restaurant in the area, and what's even better is that, it's a Boiling Point! For those that haven't had this before, it's a spot that specializes in personal hot pot. They have all kinds of different flavors for your hot pot depending what your mood is. I would recommend coming in for lunch because it's the same amount of food as dinner AND you get a choice of iced black tea or iced green tea. My go to order is their #1 House Special, but it might not be for everyone because it does have unique ingredients such as stinky tofu and intestines. Not to fret, they have "normal" options for those that aren't as adventurous that are still equally delicious. Each hot pot order also comes with a choice of vermicelli or rice. Double check to see if your hot pot option already comes with vermicelli. If you prefer a variety, then choosing rice might be a better option for you. I did dock one star off because it seems like they tend to run out of certain soups throughout the day. I understand if it's near the end of the night, but I've experienced it twice where I had to choose something else than my go to order. They are located in a plaza that is shared between multiple establishments like Starbucks, Taqueria de Anda, West Grove Pizza, Valley View Lanes, Starlight West Grove Cinemas and more. It used to be a relatively empty plaza but with the recent developments, parking can be quite a challenge. There are extra parking spots located on the side of Taqueria de Anda or by the car wash spot, albeit, it's just a slightly further walk. I personally never had an issue with their service. It's easy to call them over to refill the broths or replenish the sauces; however, if they are looking to improve their service, then I would recommend being more proactive with asking customers for broth refills. read more

I usually enjoy dining out, but my recent visit here was easily the worst experience I've had. From the seating process to the food safety, everything that could go wrong did. ​The trouble started before we even sat down. We waited over 30 minutes while several tables sat empty. To make matters worse, the supervisor, Andy, gave our table to a group that showed up after us. His excuse didn't make any sense, and he actually told us to go back outside and wait longer. ​The biggest issue, however, was how they handled a food allergy. We were very clear about our allergy when ordering, but the food came out with the allergen on it anyway. When I sent it back, Andy didn't have the kitchen make a fresh dish--he just scooped the topping off and tried to serve the same plate again. When I caught him and complained, he acted like I was being a nuisance, giving me a frustrated "ugh" before finally agreeing to fix it. ​By the time the safe food arrived 20 minutes later, our other dishes were cold and our drinks were still missing. I eventually had to go to the register myself just to get our water and sodas. ​Andy was completely unprofessional and showed a scary lack of concern for customer safety. I usually go to BP at least once every two weeks, and the food quality has always been spot on. However, my yesterday visit, 11/08/25 around 8:30 PM left me disappointed due to the attitude of one of the servers, girl with a mole on her face (I think her name starts with La...) I understand the restaurant was busy and things like rice, bowls, or vermicelli can be forgotten sometimes, which I completely understand. When the hotpot came out, I noticed there was no bowl or vermicelli. I kindly asked for a bowl and vermicelli. She came back with only the bowl, so I politely asked again for the vermicelli. Instead of responding kindly, she sounded annoyed and asked, "Do you need anything else?" in a harsh tone. The way she handed the items to me also felt rough and dismissive. I honestly felt disrespected and sad. Life is hard already, and going out to eat should be a small comfort, a time to enjoy food. We arrived at 6pm on a Friday night and we were able to get seated right away. It didn't start getting crowded until close to 7pm. I especially like this place because they serve Jin tea drinks at this location along with your meal! If you only want to order Jin tea, there's a kiosk outside! This acoustics of this building kind of make this restaurant loud, if you're sensitive to noise though. We always order the same thing every time. Beef hot soup- medium spicy. This hits the spot every time. This comes with vermicelli noodles in the bottom, various veggies, and a side of rice. Sometimes it can get a little too spicy, but this time the flavors were perfectly balanced. They offer to put out your fire or add more broth if your broth starts to disintegrate. The service was a little slower this night, but understandable since customers were starting to trickle in. They added more meat to all soups now and it was super filling! The oolong milk tea was a bit watered down so I would recommend less ice. I've always loved Boiling Point, and this new location didn't disappoint! There was plenty of parking when I came. Since the waitlist was pretty long, we decided to buy a few games at the Valley View Lanes bowling alley next door and the time flew by! I highly recommend doing this if your wait time is long. Service was a little slow since they were slammed that night, but I was happy with everything I ordered. I got the Lamb hotpot and it was loaded with so much meat and veggies! I didn't expect for it to have pig's blood since it wasn't in the lamb hotpot at the other locations I've been at, but I guess they changed their recipe. Obsessed with this chain. New location! Same great service and foodstuffs. This place fit a lot more people compared to the ones located near San Gabriel. I'm glad they're opening up more. For hot pot, this place provides a lot of food for much less compared to other hot pot places. If you don't like all you can eat places cause you're overwhelmed then this may be for you. You can also share a pot, just upsize the large for a few bucks. Totally worth it. Currently they're running the double meats promotion. It is conjoined with Jin Tea, so they don't have their original BP drink menu (which was disappointing to me because I absolutely love their drinks). Honestly the workers were so attentive and were very helpful! It seemed like most of them were trainees because it just opened. They don't offer the free green/black tea during lunch hours here because it is conjoined with Jin Tea so they don't have it in general. I am happy that BP upgraded their pots with more meat and they actually put more meat!!! The broth was so delicious and the amount of toppings was amazing. Great food! Great service! No wait! My friend and I came to this location since the Garden Grove is changing. - Absolutely loved the service at this location. The employee, Maria (I believe) she was very helpful, checking on us and she made our visit enjoyable. - The food/soup was of course always yummy. I enjoyed the Pink Dragon and liked the bottle, very aesthetic. I also liked the packaged vermicelli given to us, since I like to use the small bowl for my soup. - The atmosphere could use a bit of music, (we didn't hear any) since the place was very loud compared to GG and Irvine. Happy to have a new location right by my house! As expected the wait was long but name a boiling point that doesn't have a crazy waitlist. The service was really great - shoutout to all the amazing people training there (especially Samantha)! They use a robot to carry the hotpot's now so that's kinda cute. It does cause a bit of a traffic jab which slows down the service though because the servers need to walk behind the robot to escort it and put the pots on the table. Food was good as always. There's been a $5 increase implemented since the new year - this is to compensate for double the meat AND unlimited rice refills. I didn't notice a significant amount of meat but my boyfriend said there was so I'll take his word for it. We got the gravy rice and the refills were all normal rice which was to be expected. read more

Went on a Friday night around 7:30 and joined the waitlist for 2. It was really busy but we only had to wait about 30 min. We ordered 2 Beef Hotpot (Mild and Medium) and a side of the Garlic Pork Belly. The service was a little slow because it was so busy but the staff were very nice. The soup came out in about 15-20 min, but we had to ask if the side of Garlic Pork Belly was coming twice. The hotpot was good and they were during a special with free double meat for any pot (I think because the location is new?). We probably wouldnt order the side of Garlic Pork belly again since it was kind of watery and not very hot. Maybe because it took a while to come out. Just stick to the pots and you should be good! They also have a Jin tea shop connected next door and you can get a deal on drinks if you order a pot. I prefer Tasty Pot because the portions are bigger and they have more options but this place was still ok for personal pot. They gave free dessert jellies at the end that were pretty good. read more

For a group of 8 of us, we waited a little over an hour on a Thursday night around 7pm. This location doesn't take reservations. It's a bit loud inside, probably due to it being a pretty full house, as well as the actual design of the interior. Once seated, the staff was prompt to get us menus and take our orders. The food came out without too much delay, but I wouldn't come here when super hungry. They do have a robot table runner that comes and carries out the food. We were kind of mesmerized by it as it roamed the restaurant. The name "Boiling Point" is no exaggeration! Once they lit the fires under our bowls, we all had trouble eating because of how hot it was! The staff came and snuffed out the fires when we asked, but then the food went cold quickly. The beef was good in my bowl, but I felt like overall the flavors together came off a little bland. At the price point of the menu, I was just hoping for a slightly better experience. Personally, it's my favorite BP location. Parking is a bit small since the lot has to cater to the theater, bowling alley, and other restaurants. There was a waitlist, but we were still seated fairly quickly. Food is fantastic as always, there was plenty of meat. A bowl was perfect enough to share between me and a friend. I love their partnership with Jin Tea house. I'm always excited for a new boba place near me. Service is a little slow. I'm sure as they get more sorted out, that will get better with time. I'm not a big hotpot person but I really love this place! We tried Korean bean paste, beef, house special, Taiwanese spicy. I loved the Taiwanese spicy the best. Though it was spicy. They offered free tea at the time and it was too sweet for me. At the end, jelly they offered was a perfect dessert! Most of the locations I've been to were always busy but this particular one is good without much wait at lunch hour since we've visited 3 times during the weekdays.
