Come hungry!!!!!!! Good deal for the amount of food you get at this local spot for hot pot! It's worth the splurge because you can stay as long as you want during operating hours of course, and the portion sizes they bring you are huge! Try it all! Plenty of free parking! Service was friendly and our waitress tried hard!

Loved this place! It's a bit of a hole in the wall, tucked into a shopping center that seems to be struggling a bit. As is the case, there's plenty of parking in the area. When we went, they were not accepting reservations, though it's not clear if that was a situational thing or if that's how it always is. There were plenty of tables, so it all worked out. They have a full bar, and had some drink specials, even on a Saturday night. When you sit down, you will find a piece of paper with all the ingredients you can choose. We selected 2 broths, Tom Yum and House, and then several meats, fish and veggies. I especially appreciated that the Ingredients were grouped by how long they should cook in the broth. Once you've made your selections, they will bring out a pot to set on the hot plate. Then they'll bring out your selections! Remember, you can cook things a little at a time. No need to throw everything in at once. This is a nice group or date meal/experience. I would also recommend going in person to this restaurant, rather than takeout, given the experience element!

In the words of my daughters, this dining experience was a 10/10! The food was delicious! Everything was fresh and proportioned just right. The broths were seasoned well. This food was so good and we ate to our heart's delight! The ambiance is laid back and can accommodate multiple persons per group. This experience would be best with two or more people. The service was amazing. James, the host was fantastic as was Malika, our server. Malika was personable and knowledgeable about the experience. She was awesome!

Boiling Pot I was taken here by a friend. Nice decor. The pots were huge and the meat and vegetables were fresh. Really nothing to complain about. I've been to many Hotpot establishments and this one is a solid restaurant. Our waiter was excellent. Overall a good experience. One last thing, the white rice bowl was huge. Nice. Not AYCE but decent. Recommended.

First time. Ada took care of us. She was very nice and informative. Very attentive as well. The restaurant was kind of busy when we got there but the food came out quickly. Everything was very good and huge portions. The broth had amazing flavor and everything seemed fresh. Would def be coming back.

Decided I wanted unlimited seafood today and the Boiling Pot was the perfect place. As soon as I ordered my food came out in about 15 mins If that long. I couldn't even order another round because it was so much food. I've been here a few times and I enjoy all options and I will return.

Highly recommend coming here! Such a fun experience. You pay about $35 for all you can eat and the food is so good! Our waiter was so nice and we had such an amazing experience. That atmosphere is pretty laid-back but the cooking style is so cool that this is a great spot for dates or special events.

Food was amazing y'all!! Wanted a new Asian experience restaurant to go to with my friend and this was top notch!! The Miso base and the SM base was what we got! Might change the last one to curry next time and see how that one is. The service was good!! The waiter was so patient with us and honestly that made the experience so much better! Also shout out he had awesome slick back early 60s hair!we got a lot of veggies and pork belly with the beef option. WARNING the meat is a lot so do one or two at a time guys!! Get the udon noodles the ramen was just pasta. Sauces were fabulous. Ambiance was dim and thankfully due to when we can was calm! Will definitely be coming back!

    Very frozen seafood. Unusual.

Been to many hot pot restaurants from North Carolina to California and this was one of my least favorite. Service was pretty much non-existent, food quality was mediocre and no sauce station? What?! Unheard of. We saw that there wasn't a sauce station so we ordered some sauces from the menu, they NEVER came and we didn't see our waitress until the end of the meal and at the point the sauce was no longer needed. Yes, they give you some basics like Chinese bbq sauce, garlic, very watered down peanut sauce, onions and soy sauce but where was the vinegar? Ponzu? Sesame oil? Oh and order what you want at the beginning because they won't be back to ask you if you want anything more. What was really mind boggling was the frozen solid seafood. The meatballs were frozen together in a block of ice, the oysters are the frozen kind you get from the Korean market in a freezer section and the shrimps were the frozen kind too. The shrimps had no flavor at all. The beefs we ordered were okay but the pork belly was not good. Crab Rangoon was decent but the gyoza needed seasoning on the meat. It's sad to say that at a hot pot restaurant the only decent thing was the crab Rangoon. If you don't know hot pot, this place will probably do. But if you do, you'll be disappointed. If you do go, don't forget to get the veggie essentials for the your hot pot: watercress, tong ho, baby bok choy and Chinese cabbage.

Hot pot with a miso broth and a Szechuan broth. Brisket pork belly veggie platter, noodles, etc. so good

This spot seemed like a hole in the wall. We came at an awkward hour between lunch and dinner. So was a little skeptical at first. Ended up having an AMAZING MEAL! The staff was very nice as well. They gave us a to go container for the left over broth (very little left over) that I diluted with chicken stock and miso at home for another great soup. Flavor was exceptional at the meal. Highly recommend the miso and Szechuan brotha but will be trying more in the future.

If you're looking for AYCE hot pot, this is the place in Charlotte to go. They also serve seafood boil and Asian entrees, which I've never personally had. When you get hot pot, you get to choose your broth, meats, seafood, veggies, noodles, and any appetizers. We got the Tom Yum broth split with the House broth. Both broths were tasty, the Tom Yum was nice and tangy. You're given a plate of ingredients to make your dipping sauce, which results in a tasty sauce, however I would prefer a bigger selection of ingredients. Everything came out at once and categorized(meats, veggies, seafood). All you gotta do is boil the food until fully cooked, dip it in your dipping sauce and enjoy! Everything tasted really good. The only critique I had was that despite not being busy during lunch, the server only checked on us once and the hot pot broth never got refilled with stock as it evaporated from the pot, but by then, we were wrapping up our meal. COVID precautions noticed: tables were distanced at least 6ft, staff and patrons were masked, and giant bottles of sanitizer all around the bar for use. If you're craving hot pot and you're in the Northlake area of Charlotte, this is a good place to stop by.

Unfortunately we got to the restaurant around 9:00 and they discouraged us from doing the all you can eat hot pot because we didn't have a lot of time however we did get the hibachi and it was delicious. They're fried rice is it the best I've ever had but it's good enough. They give great portion sizes so you will not leave hungry. I definitely plan to go back to try the hot pot.

This hidden spot is in a strip mall off of Harris Blvd. I was looking for something different and I had been wanting to try them for some time. I wasn't really sure what I wanted so it took me several minutes of going over the menu before deciding on the ramen but customized it with just seafood and veggies. The waitress wasn't sure what seafood would be included in the ramen so it took her a few times to confirm but eventually the ramen came out and I was surprised it was so good and the portion was so much, I took most of it to go. I also had a bahama mama that was really good as well. No complaints on my first visit.

The prices were still $30 a head. I don't think there was a time limit for how long you could stay then. Now it's $40 a head (which inflation.... I get it) with a two hour limit. My main issue is the ambiance is horrible!!! They painted the big wooden booths with this cheap sticky black paint that's slowly coming off. I was wearing shorts and it was PAINFUL if I got up too quickly. The lighting is cold and uncomfortable. It's not a welcoming place to dine anymore. A completely depressing environment. Everything looks like it's in disrepair and being very poorly maintained. The quality of the meats has gone down as well. The sides were not fresh. Especially the cucumbers. This is no hate to the staff but almost everyone that worked there seemed miserable as well. They did a great job but it just seemed like they all were sad for some reason. I truly think it's the environment. I would hate working at such a depressing restaurant. The staff were attentive and consistently checking on us. They never left us alone for too long! There was one guy with glasses that was exceptional. He was great with the small details of serving. Always pre bused something from the table every time he came by. If you're smart you will bump his hourly and make him a shift manager/ trainer. The staff is the reason I'm not giving one star. Korean culture is vibrant and fun! Please hang up some art work and posters. Hire someone to remove that god awful sticky paint! Which I know you can't clean properly. Change the lightbulbs to warm lighting. Put out some fun decor on the tops of the booths. Make your restaurant into a place people naturally feel happy to be at. Paint over that black wall in the back and fill it from top to bottom with Korean art work as an accent wall! Or put in giant decorative shelves with plants and collectible Korean toys. DO ANYTHING FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

I've enjoyed Korean barbecue many times, so when I saw the price, I thought I had found a great midday option. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to expectations. The happy hour kalbi turned out to be four small pieces of meat for $9.95, which I had to cook myself. A bowl of rice was an additional charge, and there were no sides, vegetables, soup, or salad included. I left the restaurant still hungry, which is never a good sign after lunch. What disappointed me most was the lack of guidance and hospitality. As someone new to Japanese-style barbecue, I asked a few simple questions to understand what I was ordering. When I confirmed this was the happy hour portion, the server said yes--but didn't explain the serving size or suggest additional items. A little coaching would have gone a long way. At one point, when I asked whether the meal came with sides like banchan or rice, I was told, "This is not Korean barbecue." I completely understand the distinction now, but the tone felt curt rather than helpful. Hospitality is about helping guests navigate something unfamiliar, not making them feel like they should already know. I also ordered iced water with lemon, and the lemon never arrived...only the ice water. Was this an omen of what's to come?? Another frustration was the parking situation. I paid for parking through ParkMobile outside the restaurant, only to discover after entering that parking validation was available inside. That information would have been much more useful if it had been communicated clearly before guests park or pay. From a customer experience standpoint, it feels like something that could easily be improved with better signage--lead with the good stuff. The location itself is also somewhat isolated. While technically in Uptown, it's not in a particularly walkable or high-traffic area, so most guests will need to park in a garage or pay for street parking. There isn't much nearby other than an apartment complex above the restaurant, which makes clear parking instructions and strong service even more important. To be fair, the restaurant was clean, and the meat itself was flavorful. The concept of Japanese BBQ is interesting, and I now understand that this style is very different from Korean BBQ, with smaller, à-la-carte portions designed to be built into a meal. That said, the overall experience felt transactional rather than welcoming. I left hungry--and disappointed--not because of the food quality, but because the service and communication could have been better at several points along the way. This visit felt like a missed opportunity. With a little more attentiveness, clearer guidance, and stronger customer engagement, the experience could have been completely different. Don't let one restaurant deter you. Life is short--get out there and eat.
